201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is monero a good buy because of the application? on: October 03, 2020, 11:59:08 AM
I'd like to know some thoughts from the lovely minds here. Not trying to get rich quick or anything. Just curious if monero is a good buy based on the application of use preferred to being anon.
If you are looking to have privacy then Monero is a really good coin, it is not a quick rich coin but it is one of the best coins in the market that will give you the privacy that the rest of the other coins lack.

However, this untraceable function has been abused by dark web, hope you know this?
With the recent law enforcement action, I fear it may end you in loss once they are able to succeed with the Bounty hunt to Crack down monero.
If anyone finds a flaw in the mixing then the developers can always upgrade that, it is not that easy as it sounds to crack monero. The best option for the authorities is to blackmail the developers to provide them with the keys for every transactions rather than giving out a bounty  Grin.
202  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US charges two Russian crypto hackers on: October 02, 2020, 11:00:47 PM
So he was vacationing and thought that he is safe in Europe and beyond US, but with Interpol's help, he was caught extradited to US, not that easy though as it might involved a lot of politics between US and Russia, but eventually he was extradited and sentence to 7 years behind bars.
He was over confident about his position and he thought he was too intelligent and powerful to stay away from the authorities that are after him  Cheesy.
Hacking is one aspect but when stupid people are involved with blackhat methods and does not understand the consequences it is a great lesson as he ruined his life.

204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUCOIN Hacked on: September 29, 2020, 11:55:27 PM
My money has been locked up in kucoin , I can't withdraw it since 26th, they say they resume withdraws in a week but I don't think it happens that soon , they need to fix that bug or it could happen again, I always remind myself, don't keep your money in exchange but still sometimes I forget it!
Are they allowing you to trade, whatever it may be the situation is really shitty. Every few months we will be seeing a major exchange hack and i am thinking whether all these exchanges are designed by one team so that every few months the hackers will exploit the weakness  Cheesy.

The coins are on the move and what is the total loss and hopefully you will be getting you coins, what is their response regarding customer funds, will they be refunding everyone.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC and ETH on their 2 years high on: September 10, 2020, 11:59:34 PM
The rise was great and promising and i did not expect the ETH market to rally like this considering the network is struggling with higher fees and things and i was wondering what happened all of a sudden and now we are seeing a massive sell off but today the market turned green and waiting to see how long it will last. If people are smart enough consider these correction as opportunities for the big rally and make some quick heavy profit.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH will touch 10,000$ to 12,000$ at the end of 2020. on: September 05, 2020, 10:19:54 PM
Ethereum will not be able to go to $ 10000, if Ethereum can go there, then what will happen to the fees? Of course the costs will also be more expensive,
and this will make everyone angry, use your logic, before the problem of expensive Gas is resolved, don't expect much!
This is exactly the scenario with all the coins that have a competitive fees whenever the network is congested and you cannot help it, when the price is below $500 we need to shell out $10 as transaction charges and the fees keep on increasing as the price increases and there will be a point no one uses them if they do not make changes.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Tron (TRX) Ever Reach $5? on: September 05, 2020, 09:51:09 PM
Indeed, the supply of TRX is too much and it makes TRX have a hard time breaking through $ 1,
TRX's price of $ 0.2- $ 0.5 is good for the future, moreover, Tron's ROI has also increased by 1000% more
It is true that the total supply is really high to see a valuation of $5 but you never know what the market will be in the next few years and crossing a dollar might not be a big deal if the development is on the right track and they are able to produce results. There is nothing wrong in speculating a very high valuation but realistically it is possible if you have the patient to wait for a decade  Cheesy.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOT [Polkadot] Speculation on: September 04, 2020, 10:24:48 PM
I have no idea why these new coins are gaining this much traction and investment as the price is increasing considerably high in a short period of time.
I am not following the altcoin market for a long time and i would like to know about attractive projects so that i could invest well during the initial period and cash out once it hits the market like everyone used to do with the ICO craze  Cheesy.

New projects appearing in the top list every month, there was chainlink in the past and now there are other coins and Polkadot reached the top ten which is surprising as i have not heard anything about it in this forum before the explosion as well as in any other telegram channel.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH will touch 10,000$ to 12,000$ at the end of 2020. on: September 04, 2020, 08:50:59 PM
Don't give any bullshit speculation, Ethereum will have a hard time getting there because it's really high. What makes sense for Ethereum at the end of the year is $1000 and I think it still feels heavy. This year Ethereum is still struggling to get past $500
If you take a look at the entire market ETH has made big strides when it comes to the price and it is not a small recovery from its bottom after the last correction. I am not expecting the price to rally like many dream which is not realistic but if ETH 2.0 rolls out and they can sort their fee issues then we might see some movement and i wont be surprised if it touches the old all time high valuation considering the movement it had this year.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ChainLink - Sell or Hold for some more time? on: August 31, 2020, 10:21:20 PM
do not hold too long, because it is risky. My advice is enough to hold because altcoins are very risky unless you hold USDT. so when the price goes up, immediately sell and when the price goes down you can hold
If you are not trusting the coin to begin with then what is the point in holding the coin when it goes down, first you need to trust the team and the project before investing your money, chainlink is getting some hype in terms of the market rally it had and had a small correction and i hope it will recover rather than dumping hard.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yearn.Finance (YFI) hits $28k on: August 31, 2020, 10:07:39 PM
Maybe because of very low supply so investors interested to invest but I doubt of this massive pumped, it seems to me manipulation you know  the supply is low it can easy to manipulate it. This is high risk if you join the ride it reaches the highest peak we never know when will be a massive dump.
Having a low supply of coins does not necessarily mean that they could attract the investors and the price keeps on moving higher, if i remember correctly the yearn. finance had a minor correction last week and the entire market went down with it and as an investor i will not dare to invest in a coin that rallied this much.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto after COVID-19 on: August 31, 2020, 07:44:24 PM
First of all, I don't see COVID-19 ending any time soon, it is not a curse, the world has just to live with it for some time as we have been coping with Poliomyelitis and some other viruses with the help of vaccines.
Corona virus is a curse and it is not a virus like any other, the problem is that you cannot identify when you are infected and it can be transferred easily and that is not the case with other viruses. Everyone has to cope up with the situation and there is no vaccine and we need to wait for much longer time for us to get a commercially viable vaccine.

Whether the pandemic ended totally or not, crypto will still continue in its fine form as you have said.  Many have believed, that it is a good alternative to their fiat banking system, some know what they have gained from it within a limited time.  Recovery of world economic does not stop further adoption of crypto at all.
It is partially true, the market will continue whether the pandemic ends or not, but everyone is waiting for the rally and for that to happen the economy should be strong enough so that big investors will be confident enough to invest in it.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2021 be the year of Litecoin? on: August 30, 2020, 07:15:00 PM
Do you think 2021 will be the year of Litecoin? Will it have it a higher price by the next halving? Or will everything remain the same? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
It is hard to determine how they could attract the investor when uncle Charlie himself claimed that he sold all of his coins, as a lead developer even if he sold all of his coins it is not a great representation that could help the project if they really want to attract huge investment. Interesting aspect is that the price rallied a bit when the entire market moved upwards and hence it is a good sign that we might see the market move when we see the altcoin rally.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Image Is Getting Stronger by the Minute on: August 29, 2020, 11:50:19 PM
More and more people are starting to perceive bitcoin as a store of value (an asset that maintains its value without depreciating), and now that it's rising while other currencies and asset forms are falling, perhaps the most important impact this global crisis is bound to make is help strengthen the image of BTC for the long term. It offers gravity assist that slingshots bitcoin toward the ultimate goal of decentralizing the financial system. But I wonder how bitcoin will perform when the pandemic is over.
I wonder how bitcoin will perform when there is a economic recession when the stock market starts pummeling will the investors jump into bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market or everyone would cash out and wait for the recession to get over and hold the coins in stable coins, it is a question we are yet to ask and the theory of store of value will be put to test.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Sold 9,000 BTC After 2 Years HODLing on: August 29, 2020, 10:59:09 PM
selling 9000 BTC at the current price is it profitable or losing? because we know 2018 BTC price is very high. so if they sell at the current price it is not impossible for them to sell at a loss
If the investors was having the patience to hold the coins for a couple of years then he would never sell the coins at a loss. I wonder why he made the decision to sell all of his investment all of a sudden and these are not small numbers by any imagination and the reason for the massive sell off when the possibility of touching the old all time high in the next few months is a real possibility.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non DeFi projects starts going DeFi on: August 29, 2020, 10:35:02 PM
To be honest, that action would cause the project to go in a completely new direction, and it would no longer be consistent with their original idea. They're just trying to capitalize on the hype from Defi to make their project even more popular, and the price could go up these days.
It is quite natural to see that all the projects will try and take advantage of the hype the DeFi market is getting and i wont be surprised if they add the term DeFi to any new or old project thinking that they could attract investors. The only option we have as investors is to take some time and understand what the project is all about and then taking the decision rather than jumping on hearing the name DeFi.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with 1000% Plus Profits on: August 28, 2020, 08:31:23 PM
Can someone explain what are these altcoins and what is the exact reason of so much growth in just 24 hours?
Are they scam or legit? Thanks.
It is not a big surprise that you see some coins that usually pump on a daily basis. If you look at the market you will find some other coin pumping and the risk on being a bag holder is much higher for these coins as you never know when they will be dumping the coins. If you are smart enough you can make a huge profit jumping in these pumps if not it is better to stay away from them.
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: August 28, 2020, 07:48:27 PM
When Binance issues their card, OP’s wish will be fulfilled partly. He we be paying with Bitcoin, but still through exchange to fiat. Not exactly what he expected, but still a small step forward.

There are already coinbase cards, but it seems that they are not so popular. I wish Binance will run a campaign go make their cards more popular.
It hard to convince everyone to use their cards unless they get customers that wanted to spend the coins they purchase, majority of the investors are here to make the profit and they do not care about spending the coins they purchased for some products in the supermarket and that is the reality, we can dream about it when there will be a time when the price is stable.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: South Korean Exchange Coinbit Arrested For Fake Volume on: August 27, 2020, 11:30:46 PM
Coinsbit has always been a suspicious exchange, they make promises and never keep to it. These fraudulent exchanges are the reason why some traders make a wrong choice by trying to trade on them and end up been disappointed. Why not build a system to last!
There can be a number of reason why people are choosing these exchanges including the fake volume and the limit they can trade and withdraw without verifying the account but faking the volume is a serious issue and it is catching up when the authorities start monitoring their trade books i expect more exchanges getting into trouble.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chainlink is a shitcoin and will dump to zero on: August 27, 2020, 11:06:10 PM
In crypto markte, good coin or shit coin i think it depends on the market, at least we can think of high ranking coin is good,  low ranking is bad. Once I thought TRON is a shitcoin and it will definetely dump to the bottom very soon, but the time proved that i was wrong.
This is not the way how you evaluate a project whether it is a shit coin or not. It depends on the feasibility of the project and the technical aspect and it is not the market that determines whether the project is a good coin or shit coin but the developers who created the project determines that. There were many shit coin projects that pumped and dumped and these are created just to pump and then dump the coins and make money and many will fall for them.

When it comes to chainlink i have no idea about the team members and how long i can trust them but i have heard that they holding assets for their project as security and i hope these are transparent and if that is the case you cannot call them a shit coin or a scam and it will never dump back to zero unless there is a technical issue.
