441  Economy / Economics / Re: World Economy and war situation and crypto on: January 09, 2020, 09:10:18 AM
~snip
Nobody cant predict if the war will occur because its just only a speculation. The iraq's flag was raised yesterday as a sign of war but US has no response and I think the war is not gonna happen and US will reconcile with iraq. Actually even the war is true, still it has no impact to our economy because we are exempted from the war and besides they are not the only countries who uses cryptocurrencies.
I doubt whether you know the situation, the tension is between Iran and US and the recent attack happened in Iraq against the Iranian general and the counter attack was against US military base in Iraq but the flag was hosted in Iran because the fight is against Iran and US and there will be a global economical crisis if there is a war but if you look at the current status it is highly unlikely we will go for a war considering the risk involved and burning of another billion of dollars.
442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: US- Iran Tensions boost Bitcoin price to $24,000 on: January 08, 2020, 05:42:20 PM
Bitcoin price may get higher but as a humanity we should pray that war should not happen. Even though Iran people sell bitcoin not all people will sell. Only few will sell the Bitcoin.
Let bitcoin grow but not world War lll shouldn't happen. Economy will be worst.
I really do not want to see a full blown war and the end result is human killing other human to show their power and we are living in a modern society and these politicians cannot understand the basic needs for everyone to have a peaceful life is pathetic, i condone the US attack and now Iran retaliated against our troops, these governments does order to carry out these actions and poor families will be loosing their loved ones and when these fight will end is a mystery. I am not sure about the legitimacy of the price in Iran.
443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 08, 2020, 04:41:16 PM
^  Still too close tho.  And remember how convincing Diaz's win was in their first bout.  I hope McGregor doesn't win exactly like how he won in his second fight vs Diaz.  That would suck for him imo.
If he is not able to dominate then he should go down in weight and fight in 145 pounds where he shined the most throughout his career and that made him the fighter he is now and i am sure he can beat many fighters in the 155 pound division as well but when it comes to fighters like Tony Ferguson and Khabib he might struggle but i am sure he will have an upper hand with the rest of the fighters.
444  Economy / Economics / Re: How the situation in Iran might impact Bitcoin on: January 08, 2020, 03:31:02 PM
Wow, $29k! I think that's even higher than the ath in 2017. But then again, if they are really afraid that they might lose it all if they ever get invaded, might as well lose a bit buying at that price and salvage what's left.
Not sure about the legitimacy of the price and now Iran started firing back at US base and things are getting worse and it might go to full fledged war, if that happens then there will be a globally issue as the problems these will be created will be felt everywhere. Now looking at what US is going to do and if they retaliate to the strikes then it will affect the price of bitcoin as well as other financial assets.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 08, 2020, 01:56:39 PM
The third round was a 10-8 round and from the third round Conor slowed down a lot and after getting beaten up he somehow came back in the 4th round and won that.
If the judges called it a draw then it would have been great as one judge scored a round 10 to 8 favoring Nate Diaz and hence it was a draw in one judges view and the rest of the judges gave the same rounds to Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor and it would have been a draw in my opinion rather than giving Conor the win as the fight was really close and if that fight was a draw then the career would have been different for Conor  Cheesy.
446  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: January 08, 2020, 01:31:34 PM
fulltime traders can do trading in home without disturbance , not all can do this many go to work and trade which is bad for trading but there is no other choice I was doing trading while in office for couple of years
There is nothing wrong in giving a buy order when you expect that there will be a correction and you do not really need to glue on the trading platform to see the movement quite regularly, there are many applications in the market that will alert you if the market reaches a certain valuation and then you can make your decision according to that, yes i do have my trading inputs during my working hours too.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An uncertain future of Libra! Is it good for the crypto traders? on: January 07, 2020, 03:20:28 PM
So, is it good for the crypto traders? What is the future of it? Want to hear from the experts.
If Libra is able to release the coin despite the opposition against them then traders will be using it if they find it useful, if not what is the issue, it will be a loss to the reputation of the facebook team if they were forced to withdraw from their grand plan.

Such category coins are more suitable as a tool for buying or selling commodities because their value is more stable.
We really need a stable coin as i do not trust the stable coins in the market we have and if a centralized company can come up with a solution then it would be great for traders to hold their worth in it.
448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going for $8.570 following recent information on: January 06, 2020, 03:50:34 PM
Yes - but that has to do with the Iran situation more than anything else. Gold is up too, and bitcoin is starting to act like digital gold.
I too expect that people should find bitcoin as a digital gold as the situation in Iran and neighboring countries are struggling for a long time because of sanctions imposed on them and yet i am not sure how many invested in bitcoin as a safe option.
@you quoted $8.57 which means the market will crash  Tongue.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC price speculation on: January 05, 2020, 05:51:10 PM
And ofc...  My stop loss got hit and on it goes back up again like nothing happened.  Sad  My losses for the past couple of years have been like it.  Small but they do add up and looking at the total sickens my stomach.  It would've been better to stay in the side lines and do nothing.
Putting a stop loss in the crypto market is close to suicide and with ETH planning to change their network completely the miners who were mining them might shift to ETC and if that happens we might see some movements in the market, it is my speculation as i am expecting some blunder while implementing the change in ETH and that could help the ETC market in some way  Smiley.
450  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-01-04] New crisis in the Middle East: Good for bitcoin, bad for the world on: January 05, 2020, 03:55:24 PM
Is the tension in Iran proven to be the cause of this small pump? What would the bitcoin news media tell us if bitcoin dumps again below $7000?

Also, how was it good for bitcoin? The price was higher? Do they only care of bitcoin as a speculative investment?
The pump in bitcoin does not have anything to do with the tensions in Iran but the oil price will increase in countries where they are dependent on Iranian oil and the rise in gold price might also be because of the escalation of tensions in the middle east, i hope there is no war as it will be a disaster if the actions ends up in a full fledged war.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death of ICOs on: January 05, 2020, 03:24:35 PM
There are many reasons for ICOs to collapse in 2019. But I think the regulatory barrier to token sales is the biggest problem that causes ICOs to die. unsold, limited deals and lots of other reasons are also quite important.
The real reason is discussed in this thread already, it is not because of the regulatory barrier, if you check the market you will see projects coming out every month but the issue is always the huge amount of scams we saw in the past few years and it is hard to trust any project and majority of the projects that collected millions did not fulfill anything and with that in mind who will be trusting any ICO project.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will poc hard disk mining become popular in 2020? filecoin become huge? on: January 05, 2020, 02:51:19 PM
I want to invest in filecoin, what is the probability of 100X?

The Chinese make a lot of hard disk mining coins, such as bhd fst lamb
What's future for these coins?
The writing is on the wall if all these projects are coming from China, do you really care of these shit coins thinking that it will help you in making a huge profit, i am skeptical on these hard disk based mining coins and the idea started with Burst and some made money mining the coin as the ROI is decent than the rest of the other shitty coins and if there is a new coins with the same mechanism they will not succeed.
453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $$ FREE FIXED MATCH BASKETBALL $$ on: January 05, 2020, 01:25:06 PM
Spain Women's Superleague Volleyball
Logrono W Vs Cajasol W
https://www.flashscore.in/match/xzwueva/
Link to game
Logrono W -26.5

La Laguna W Vs Las Palmas
https://www.flashscore.in/match/ChVihxqI/#match-summary
Link to game
La Laguna -9.5

If any of it looses
I will quit this forum
Not a Volleyball fan and hence looking at the scoreboard i assume that the first bet won but the second one was a loss as the total score i can see is 88-81 and it is not a -9.5 win for La Laguna.
454  Economy / Economics / Re: What is safe asset? And If USA dollar weakining what is Next Fiat? on: January 04, 2020, 05:14:07 PM
The Chinese Yen should surely be included in your portfolio as they boost of one of the strongest economies in the world. Gold is a good alternative now, but not for the long term, in my opinion
I do not trust trading with the Chinese Yen, there must be a different currency if you are looking for a volatile economy and gold is not a good alternative right now as the price keeps on rising for the past several days and bitcoin is the only asset that will not be linked with the real world issues as it is the one true global currency.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death of ICOs on: January 04, 2020, 03:49:51 PM
How is it possible that you have forgotten both magic words? Oh I know you must be wondering what I'm talking about, right? Here are the two magic words that make people stop investing money in these ICOs:
1 -  FAKE TEAM
2 - Plagiarized Whitepaper
You can look at the number of scam cases: Scam Accusations
Majority of the projects were scams and even if the white paper is not plagiarized it is very difficult to think that the project will be successful as you cannot pick two ICO projects which were profitable and i avoid them like a plague, i used to invest in the past because of the trend because it was a new market and when i came to know about the truth i just sold everything and moved to the coins i can trust.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin could reach $100,000 in 2020: Ross Ulbricht on: January 04, 2020, 02:59:45 PM
Historically saying, $100,000 is plausible. People from 2011 to 2016 didn't even thought that bitcoin will hit $20,000 on 2017.
This is somewhat true, there was a time i never thought that the price of bitcoin will not hold a price above a thousand dollars rather i thought we would see uneven rallies for a long time but things have changed drastically and the 2017 rally was expected but i never thought it will rise to the levels we saw, so the market is always unpredictable, i am expecting all these valuations but not anytime soon.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2020 be bearish as well? on: January 03, 2020, 05:46:19 PM
2020 will be good, I just have that feeling, the space is maturing unlike the past and this is something that people need to factor in and the price action of halving event this year is going to be different from the past, some impatient investors are going to be shaken out of their position then the price pump will happen at the tail end of the year
This is the case with bitcoin and the market is matured and we might see a slow rally once the investment starts pouring in after the halving but that cannot be said about the altcoin market and it is because of the so called maturity you mentioned as there is nothing interesting in those coins or projects so that we can see a huge investment coming in the market for these alts but as a speculative market we might see a rally, so not much expectation in that.
458  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Bankers Say Cryptocurrencies Do Not Threat The Global Financial Stability on: January 03, 2020, 04:27:43 PM
The truth is that cryptocurrency, technically, can destroy an established financial system. More precisely, to destroy the dependence of the world economy on the dollar. All that is needed is the complete eradication of cryptocurrency volatility, which is extremely difficult due to the limited number of the same bitcoins. However, this does not mean that you cannot use another currency that can get rid of dependence on bitcoin in the future.
The things you are taking about are impossible, you cannot remove the volatility and you cannot destroy the dependence of the US dollar globally for trading and if that were to happen you need to give incentives to the merchants globally for transacting in bitcoin which is not going to happen and if they are planning to purchase bitcoin in huge number they need to spend a lot of money if they want to trade using bitcoin for any huge deals, so do they go the confusing route or the easy route the banking system to send the money, if you are a bitcoiner then it is easy to trade globally but if you are new then it is another hurdle.
459  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we getting a pump and dump for this month? on: January 03, 2020, 03:39:56 PM
considering the fact that bitcoin is not some useless altcoin to see pump and dumps and also the fact that for the past (at least) 7 years there has not been any major manipulation of the market the answer to your silly title is no.
We might not see a pump and dump kind of scenario like we see in some shit coins but the market does have its manipulation but it is not that easy to pull that off unless you are having a ton of coins to scare the market as there are situations when the market went down simply because some huge amount of coins moved to certain exchanges and these are manipulations either with the aide of these news site or stand alone process.
460  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: January 03, 2020, 01:12:35 PM
Of course you can still have a wife and a family life, but after you can be single if you want too.
And like someone said you need a bank account and that is normal in our society.
If you are planning to be single then why thinking of having a family and a wife, you can have kids even without getting married and i am also not a believer in getting married and i probably will never as i am happy with the way things are going and i do not want to have fun just with a single person but you need to spend a lot of money to make the girls happy too  Cheesy. If i have an option i will not pay my taxes but that is not the case as i do not want any trouble.
