421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining crypto by walking on: January 14, 2020, 08:27:55 AM
A couple of years ago, there was a crypto project named "MangoCoinz" which allowed anyone to earn crypto by simply walking. The app used the smartphone's pedometer to keep track of the steps taken by an specific person. This encouraged anyone to exercise their body while getting paid in return. While this was great back then, the project is no longer being developed. Something like this would've been great to have in the mainstream world today, but I guess there was lack of demand for it back then.
It will be a fun project but to have a valuation for the token they create for you to workout is just outrageous to imagine and the future of the project was known, you cannot imagine that every project can have valuation but for you to have a real valuation you need to have some utility that can create business on its own and you cannot have valuation from thin air and all of these projects fail because they expect valuation out of thin air and that is not how economy function.
422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Futures Manipulation on: January 13, 2020, 05:30:18 PM
~snip
So BTC futures is betting on the price of BTC going up or down (Long or short)
Future markets can be manipulated and that is not the case with bitcoin market alone it is the same with the rest of the market as well as the investors with huge amount can always manipulate the market.

Is this illegal in any way at this point in time? And if this is legal , Whats to stop people with lots of money to do this?
In regulated market if there is an organized manipulation then the authorities will fine them huge amounts and since the bitcoin market is not regulated whales have the freedom to do anything as long as there is no regulation in the market.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to invest in Tezos in 2020 on: January 13, 2020, 04:55:43 PM
Well!! The crypto market is booming really well in the crypto space, as one of the altcoin called tezos is performing really good.
Several crypto experts assume that tezos have the potential to the its show ability in the upcoming years.
Since you started a topic, you need to mention which experts are you talking about, there are many fake experts in the market and if someone has to have a pick on a certain coin you need to have a solid answer on why that is and i did not find any from you, if the market improves all the coins are moving higher and if you think that their development is better than the rest enlighten me.

Of course many people have monitored the movement of Tezos or in the market or in its development because in every smell there must be a movement
Which smell are you talking about  Tongue.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have a $2000 and had to invest in crypto which coins would you buy ? why? on: January 13, 2020, 04:03:09 PM
Invest 80%-90% of your money into Bitcoin, the only and original real decentralized and popular crypto. Don't mess with altcoins, not worth it, and make sure you don't fall for the fake bitcoin scam called Bitcoin-Cash and it's fork Bitcoin SV, it is a centralized scam-coin that pretends to be the real bitcoin, it's leader is Roger Ver that was Bitcoin early adopter, but then created it's own coin, he owns many sites, brands that scam people by presenting Bitcoin cash as the real Bitcoin. Hence All you need to know is that there is Bitcoin, and there are shitcoins, except Eth, Verge, Nano, Vechain and monero, so it's best to do your own research.
My take on the situation is that, if you are an early investor then you naturally have these fork coins and i trust bitcoin fork than the rest of the shit coins in the market and that is my take on things, i am not willing to invest in anything but since i am holding bitcoin for a long time i am having these forks and i am glad to hold and if they are able to give me the profit, it is fine and i will happily collect it.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC team warns against potential hard fork scam on: January 13, 2020, 02:57:54 PM
I just saw a tweet by Cointelegraph whereby Ethereum Classic team warns the public about an upcoming potential hard fork scam on Ethereum classic  (the real hard fork has already been achieved on January 12th).
Scammers are always trying to find ways to fool innocent investors and if anyone jump too soon then they will loose their coins, the same happened with bitcoin forks too as there were many scam wallets during that period and once you enter the private key to redeem the coins and if you have kept the original coins then everything is gone for good.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can I earn 12.5% BTC in 1-2 days ?! on: January 12, 2020, 04:36:35 PM
COCOS  since December 12, 2019 with the price of 10 sat, until the time you buy it for 8 sat, the value is always down, if you hope to get a profit in 1-2 days, then I find it difficult, although only waiting for an increase of 1 sat, because since the last month there has been no increase in value.
This will be the coin released by him and may be he is advertising about it, there are thousands of coins in the market who are planning to lure new users forcing them to invest in them and thereby expecting gullible users. So never promote them and there are many top coins in the market rather than investing in unknown coins.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Say Goodbye to Banking as We Know It on: January 12, 2020, 03:19:28 PM
China has been always known as an economy-centric country, and with such technology, they had seen its advantages, though they made it centralized to combat decentralized anonymity that might be used in illegal activites.
Decentralized does not mean anonymity, if you are connecting to a peer you are going to give out your IP details and the advantage of adding blockchain is that it cannot be rewritten or altered and the record will be there forever and if you are living in a country like China or any third world country then you need to worry if they are planning to implement blockchain technology as the government will have complete control over your finance.

428  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC to GOLD on: January 12, 2020, 01:50:59 PM
I wouldn't sell my Bitcoins for Gold! I would sell Gold to buy Bitcoin, but I don't have any. It is my opinion, Bitcoin is better than Gold, in every possible way. It's a better investment, in the past 10 year Bitcoin made higher rise in price than Gold. Bitcoin is easier to use, and you can use it for many things, what you can do with Gold?
I will not dare to sell gold to invest in bitcoin as gold is a standard that is used for centuries as an investment asset and a store of value and right now bitcoin claims to be the digital gold but would you trust a century old physical asset or a virtual asset that is created recently as a store of value. I invested in bitcoin in its early inception and i will be holding that till it reaches its optimum valuation but i am not too confident to convert my other assets to bitcoin for that matter.
429  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: January 12, 2020, 10:46:48 AM
We wont be here talking about it because the whole internet will be down when that happens.. Otherwise How.? Just think of a way how crypto may vanish in a night..? If there is internet then crypto will be. Its not easy to kill crypto in a month or a year if thats what you meant, because to even find out and stop the projects and companies, it will take more than a year.
When we talk about the entire internet should be down for the entire crypto market to vanish, the ICO market is almost dead and in a few years IEO market will be dead for good and when there is regulation the anonymous coins will be pushed to the dark market as they will not be allowed to trade in the regulated market until they give the cryptographic key to the government to monitor the transactions, so then we will left around with a few chains and in the next ten years we will see only bitcoin ruling the market even if you like it or not  Wink.
430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going beyond $14,000 before May, history repeating itself on: January 11, 2020, 05:31:49 PM
I would like to remind everyone that whatever happened in the past doesn't have to happen in the future at all. Just because something once happened at the same thing, doesn't really mean we will react to it exactly the same this time around as well, there are different people, different amounts of money involved and even a different world we live.
This is a true statement as the past performance might not mean that the price would rally the same but after halving the price should rally consider the amount of bitcoin that is getting lower to get in the market after halving and that must have an impact in the price and so is the reason Satoshi planned to with the halving cycle.

@OP if the price is able to break the resistance and move over $10k then it is well and good as i will be making a lot of profit considering i was able to invest when the price dumped completely and everyone is waiting for the rally.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The use of Bitcoin on: January 11, 2020, 04:22:19 PM
For me, Bitcoin is a currency which should be used for the payment purpose
It is the base and we need a long way to go to be a global payment.

It could be used for several purposes such as investment for the future purpose, Bitcoin is being used for the trading purpose, not only that but also Bitcoin holding could make money with the change of time, but Bitcoin price volatility is a negative thing for this platform but when if Bitcoin could get legalized in the real world then this Volatility could be decreased, But Internet connection is vital for getting connected with Bitcoin so it could be a great barrier for more flourished around the world.
Volatility is not that bad if you are a good trader and they thrive on the market situation when ever the market moves in either direction rather than a stable market and hence you cannot see it as a negative aspect, whenever the price moves down it will recover and we have seen that a thousand times and then is Internet connect a real issue in 2020, not sure about third world countries but i do not see it as an obstacle considering the amount of mobile internet users in the market globally.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why We Think Craig Wright is Satoshi and Why That Matters on: January 11, 2020, 12:20:16 PM
a lot of speculation has occurred that claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, but there hasn't been a figure that is truly verified as the original Satoshi Nakamoto.
Maybe only Craight Wright had the strongest controversy but still there was no Universal recognition of the claims he made.
There are two situations for this, either the real team or person behind bitcoin all died so that no one can come up and claim something that is different and verify to the entire world that some who are claiming are just fake pretenders and it is 4 years and no one came up disputing the claims and that shows that the entire team or the person behind the bitcoin project died. When it comes to recognition you can only prove something by showing cryptographic proof and no one is able to show that till now.
433  Economy / Economics / Re: Iran/US tension's effect on crypto and economy ? on: January 10, 2020, 03:01:43 PM
Neither Iran nor the US want to truly go to war, they just want to show their strength, especially to their domestic audience - Trump will soon have elections, Iran had protests. So, since there will be no war, there's will be no long term effects on economy, the prices that reacted to the news will correct.
It was not truly about showing their strengths, the attack was a really bad idea and it will truly destabilize the entire area and if we are looking for peace and security of our forces, we should let them fight their war rather than risking our soldiers in the battle field as these battles will not end as the war is going on for more than a decade a still there is no clear victory or purpose and trillions of dollars pumped for these war efforts which can be really used for the welfare for the general public.

As for crypto, I doubt it will go down to the previous levels, since the market was looking for a reason to turn bullish for a long time.
The tension might be the reason the price rallied and now the tensions are on halt and the gold who was also rising along with the bitcoin price went down considerably.
434  Economy / Speculation / Re: $9k next week on: January 10, 2020, 02:33:53 PM
Give it a few more weeks, I expect a slow exit of the downward channel. But wouldn't be very much bothered by a fast pump up haha.
I really do not mind the market moving higher but i am not expecting to see a rally anytime soon, we have a few more months left for the halving and we need to have a huge investment coming in to see some kind of movement and right now we were not able to break the resistance at $8.4k and it might take a few months before we are able to break that resistance.
435  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where will Bitcoin cost this year? on: January 10, 2020, 01:06:45 PM
I hope price of altcoin can follow bitcoin price when it's pumped. Because altcoin is really depends on their developers and hope people not sell their altcoins to be bitcoin so they can sell it in high price. Bitcoin and altcoin price will be good if pumped together, of course only good altcoins will pump follow bitcoin price.
To be honest every coin depends on the improvement the developers make and that is the case with bitcoin too, none of the coins can claim that it can be used as a global currency right now because of the scaling issues we had and we really need improvement on that aspect and that been said the alt coin market depend on the bitcoin market valuation and we can expect a trend reversal by the end of this year.
436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now that we touched $8,000, what's next? on: January 10, 2020, 11:29:54 AM
Let's see if there will be a strong support at $8k like the one we have at $7k.
Hope you meant the other way around, there was a huge resistance at $8k levels and so is the reason the market went down after reaching those valuations and the market was not able to sustain those valuations for a long period of time and it looks like we need more time to reach those valuation and maintain those valuations.
437  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: handling bitcoin volatility on: January 09, 2020, 05:03:31 PM
Stable coins are always good to hold because we don't know when the market starts fluctuating, and it will help us to hold our trading profit in a safe way, we have seen a fluctuation which is happening instead of holding them in Bitcoin it is good to convert them to stable coins. But you hold them in Bitcoins it will not help you to make profits.
It is true that we need a stable coin that can be trusted, most of the coins in the market right now cannot be trusted or not having that much liquidity and i am hoping we will get a trust able stable coin in the future from a bank or something similar and when Libra came up with their version of the coin i was skeptical but then after thinking about it and if they are able to come up with a stable coin then i could trust them than the rest of the stable coins in the market.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waiting for the rise of all altcoins on: January 09, 2020, 03:29:31 PM
I believe that the time will come, slowly the altcoin starts to crawl up now and my hope is that by the end of the year it will be like this last year. The number of short positions fell to a historic low. This suggests that the bears have exhausted their strength, and perhaps soon we will see the growth! I hope so.
Having a hope is good and everyone who is holding an alt is expecting a rally in the market one day or the other and if you are holding a good coin then there will be a time it will go up, there are many dead coins in the market and there is no way that these coins will rejuvenate even if the market rallies but the top coins who are having a valid project will move up once the market starts picking up the upward momentum.
439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bot trading domination: Time to panic? on: January 09, 2020, 02:57:33 PM
Analysts claimed that bot-trading may possibly dominate in the 2020's, do you think it is time for traders like us to panic now?
If they do what we feared the most, it would likely manipulate the prices of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as "wild swings" occur and may get even worse in more years to come.
Do you think we should be worried by this in the next few years of this decade? Let me know your reactions or thoughts about this one guys.
If you think that there is a change in the market regarding the trading trends and everyone is making use of bots and artificial intelligence to get the maximum benefit as a trader you should change too and there is nothing you can stop these advances, so changing with the situation is the best option if you think that bots are dominating the market.
440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin hit 15K in 2020? on: January 09, 2020, 01:45:03 PM
Though I don't think the market is fully recovered but I believe Bitcoin will surely hit 15K USD this year! After a long bear market, Bitcoin's price went to almost 14K USD in 2019! After then to now Bitcoin holds its position very strong, though sometimes we saw Bitcoin at under 6K USD but that was for a very limited time. So, this year as the halving is coming and the crypto atmosphere very positive everywhere, so, it is very possible for Bitcoin to cross the 15K USD!
It all depends upon your idea of recovery which means what was your initial investment and hence the term recovery changes with every investor, i am happy with the current market as i invested early. You have to understand that the market recovered from the bottom and you cannot call this a bear situation, the market rallied a lot in the last rally and you cannot consider that as the price to be as it was a bubble and now we are seeing the real price of bitcoin which has stability.
