Anyone else seem to be getting less BURST relative to the number of blocks they're solving on the dev's V2 pool? Noticing this over 10 blocks now, doubt it's just statistical variation

First reward decrease in under 2 days and difficulty is still rising exponentially! Glad I made the decision to purchase some overpriced HDDs from Future Shop when I first heard about this coin...

wd toshiba seagate are about to get greedy when they catch on to this trend..

I've been wondering about this, too, but I'm skeptical.  There's no evidence that cryptocurrency mining has had a substantial impact on the finances of AMD.
I'm just stating this from memory, but I'm fairly certain GPU mining gave AMD sales a huge bump for Q1 and to a lesser extent Q2 of 2014. Also, I know for a fact during that massive Bitcoin (and Litecoin) bubble earlier this year there was a global shortage of AMD graphics cards, causing their prices to go way up.

The same could potentially happen for HDDs if Burst gets big enough, but the market for HDDs is larger than the one for GPUs (I'm guessing) so there would be a lot more wiggle room before shortages start occurring.

Want to mine Burst with scrypt?

Introducing the first Burst multipool! Mine with Scrypt, get paid out in Burst!

burstmp.com
Can we get some transparency on the pool? I'd like to know which coins we're mining

doge are you the multipool dev?

That is correct.

I think i have everything setup correctly im using and R9 290 and getting 702Mh/s.  Does that mean ill get 702*125=87750 burst a day?!?!?

Do you mean kh/s?.... what's your address?

BURST-EY4T-BYFW-25MW-FJ7Z9

It looks like you're only submitting invalids from here. Are you sure you've got it setup correctly?

I am not sure i just grabbed cgminer and tried to set it up.  I dont even know if im using the right utility.  What settings should i have?  I have it setup as follows

cgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool.burstmp.com:3333 -u BURST-EY4T-BYFW-25MW-FJ7Z9 -p x

??  It doesnt give to much info on what or how to set it up

Looks like you're mining SHA? Check your algo's

No clue what your talking about lol sorry.... how should it be setup?
try

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool.burstmp.com:3333 -u BURST-EY4T-BYFW-25MW-FJ7Z9 -p x

that seems like its working lol but im not getting much out of it, running at around 17.65kh/s
a 290? Try

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool.burstmp.com:3333 -u BURST-EY4T-BYFW-25MW-FJ7Z9 -p x -I 19 --gpu-fan 80 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1250

Why no deadline?
Wallet runs on this System and all works.

I think there's a minimum deadline it needs to find before it submits one.

Hey guys. I have received 45k BURST so far for the multipool.

For those wondering how I lost my coin.... Well... I was using my touchscreen phone and the screen misclicked sell on an order at 300 sats. Since CCEX has no damn second confirmation... It dumped them between 450-500 sats, even after holding them from 160 to 1200 and all the way back down.

I'm very upset about it. But I will remain active in the community, at least until I can get your multipool up. I would like to buy back in, but it will be hard to get over a mil at 480ish sats...

So anyway, I would like to get the remaining 15k before letting the multipool guy go to town. I offered 5k of my own coin which I will have to buy on the exchange for now =\
Send to the address in your signature?

Yes. All those funds go to the multipool.

I will build a burst multipool.  I have already registered the domain name.  However, I am travelling for the day to BC (driving about 10 hours) but from the hotel tonight I will get at least a beta version of it up and running.

I need a couple things from the community though.
a) I'd like a commitment to give me at least 72 hours to get the pool up and running.  Like I said, I am travelling with work and I don't want to have to be in some stupid competition to get a half-done pool operational before some other lame pool operator.  I have a proven track record of producing working pools for other coins.  We can set my deadline as being saturday evening PST.

b) I need logos and images and stuff related to burst, as well as an official color scheme (if one exists) - if there are any graphics designers who have done any work with this coin, please pm me with what you have.

You got it.

Everyone please send me the funds for this multipool!

Unfortunately, I lost all of my personal coins =(

But I will still take care of this for the community.

Anyone want to sell me 1.5 million at 480? Send me a PM!

On another side note, I have only received 10 out of 65k for the bounty. I wouldn't start working on it until I get it all. I don't want you to waste your time if no one pitches in. As far as the ones who donated, you will be refunded if this doesn't go through, minus 1 burst for the transaction fee, of course
I'm still contributing my 5k, I'll just wait for a finished pool or an address provided by burstcoin before I send anything over. Not that I don't trust you, but you need to be cautious these days

i know my burst ID and numerical ID as well im freaking out lol please help!
If you used the same pass phrase your account number will not change. You probably put in the wrong pass phrase.

2700

That is a bit slow, my clients usually take 10-15 mins to sync up, though I haven't brought up a new client for a thousand or so blocks.

It seems to be stuck at 2700!! Sad
I'm guessing you have an old client. Have you downloaded the newest wallet?

I wish the pool would have a list of previous blocks found, or something to indicate pool luck.

I think we should focus on more important things at the moment..
It wouldn't be very difficult to implement...

I'll pitch in 25k burst for a multipool.

Oh nice that's what I'm talking about!

So we are up to 30k for the multipool
5k more from me

I swept up the last few 25 NXT sell orders 8 hours ago  Grin Grin

edit: Ouch just saw the NXT exchange mistake... Thanks for taking responsibility for it!

Interesting idea, although I dont see how in the long run it would change anything. If it catches on people will compete with their HDD size rather than hashrate.
Really? I'd say Burst is a brilliant idea. Truly anyone can mine Burst on their laptop or home computer without ever raising their power bill.

CPU coins are meant to be mineable by everyone, but botnets ruin their profitability. Not to mention electricity.
ASIC coins require special hardware so they're off the board.
GPU coins are a nice medium between CPU and ASIC coins because GPUs are common, but they're power hungry.
PoS coins are energy efficient and mineable by everyone, but only if they buy coins first.

Almost everyone has an HDD...

Pool is just knocking blocks out of the park
is the pool working well,   always show: no valid shares submit to the poll What's the problem.......
Yup, that's normal. Even with 1TB of plots pointed at the pool, you'll only find a share to submit to the pool occasionally.

I wonder if it would be any more difficult for an exchange to add this coin due to the daemon being in java
