Boys, I’m at my gf’s parents house. It’s my nephews 1st birthday, I really want to let loose right now but I can’t out of respect for them. I told them all to buy years ago but nobody did.
Feels like a dick move to start celebrating so I’m keeping it quiet. Will buy a bottle of champagne on the way home.

I just came back from a friend's place. Went there to chill (COVID and all). No coiners there. I didn't mention the B-word. Great guys 'n' gals, but they wouldn't understand. And they definitely wouldn't buy, especially now that it's worth more than $20k. "Too expensive", you see... Back in late 2016 / early 2017 I urged my friends and colleagues to buy one Bitcoin each. Just one. Their monthly salaries could buy at least 2 BTC back then. I told those who have kids to buy 1 BTC for each kid. For their kids' future. Nobody, NOBODY believed me. They just laughed at me, called me crazy, stupid, immature. Just a few bought altcoins, then sold it all at a loss in the crash. Funny thing is that many of them still laugh at me even now. It's like they cannot accept what's happening. They almost don't believe the price. They want to "see the money". I won't show them anything. I told myself to never ever talk about Bitcoin to 1. nocoiners, 2. those that didn't buy. Period. Even if they call me and ask about it, i just say "Google it." It's not worth it really... In other news, BTC is now worth $21300. Gentleman. Grudge is worth nothing. You could as well ask them: "Now where are your lambos?" Next christmas  $21400 what is this a pump for ants? Dead hours, the Real show will begin tomorrow at NY open. Don't forget China/Asia. They're about to wake up there now. EDIT: GOING AGAIN!

Monero has always been the outlier. Remember when we only had a CLI wallet? I 'member.
It's gonna sneak up on people. That I know for sure.
I remember having little success trying to run it on my (this!) computer. Moneroj scattered across mymonero and polo, faithfully waiting for more usable software. Sweating, empathetic, relieved to have my coins safe when (birr?) had his wallet swallowed in mymonero with ~7k XMR. The New Year's surprise software delivery, the pumps, the dumps, the confirmation at every turn that this was the path. Cheers to rpietela and aminorex for lighting the trailhead. |

So interesting. What is driving this rally? With something like a billion dollars in volume (although some of that might be wash trade type shenanigans) it seems unlikely to be driven entirely because of being thinly traded... I wonder if it is a single buyer or a group, or some yet to be known news?
That said, XMRBTC is looking fairly good. Could be choppy around this level technically, but that's just it... I think something more than technical stuff is going on.
XMRUSD looks VERY good. With Monero's claws firmly into Bitcoins pant leg we seem to be getting to go to the prom.
Super curious what might be going on...
There seem to be a lot of banks and other businesses finally openly discussing putting Bitcoin onto their books like Microstrategy. And when BTC goes interstellar, "Oh shit, we need to make some of this fungible and secure..." It won't take long once they grasp the immutable scarcity bit. I don't think it will be shouted from the rooftops like M. Saylor is doing with bitcoin, but I don't doubt the end result. |

Target: XMR at 3k USD some time next year... Prolly around November. Too lofty or likely possible? I have this funny feeling it could get there and flippen a lot of alts in the process.
Such a wild card. I put 3k USD in the same bucket as $80k BTC - High probability, and likely much, much higher. The case for Monero gets stronger by the hour, it seems to me. Get your Bull on. |
