"this requires no changes to the network's consensus rules".

Czy alty staną się niepotrzebne? Tylko te od smart kontraktów. Na przykład tokeny giełdowe, albo tokeny wyrażające udział w jakimś przedsięwzięciu swoją wartość utrzymają.
202  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance Launches UK Domain in Compliance with New Financial Promotions Rules on: October 09, 2023, 05:08:25 PM
We know that Binance is the largest exchange in the world. This exchange has launched a domain for United Kingdom users to facilitate their financial promotion. Their development series has been published in 6 block posts and is scheduled to start from October 4. read more here

A very positive surprise for me. Not necessarily for the market, because the price did not react. It's been dead at $200 for months. Strange.

There has been a lot of negative news lately and I was afraid that other EU countries would slowly ban binance. But it turns out the problem of banning Binance was temporary and binance is about to solve all issues by creating many platforms for any jurisdiction that causes problems e.g. binance.nl or binance.de or binance.eu and everything will return to normal. The special version of Binance for US customers - binance.us - has been working well for a long time

204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I recently convinced my employer to start paying me in BTC, it has been great on: October 08, 2023, 05:30:41 AM
Does he pay you with black money? I find it hard to believe that a bank would have problems with you receiving income from a job, as long as it is legal and declared.

it's not that the bank has any problems with the op making money. The point is that banks with low trust do not get along well with others because the banking system operates on trust. So if a large European bank has to send (or receive) a transfer from a small bank in an underdeveloped country with a shitty currency, the fees can be really significant adding to this the currency conversion on a low-liquidity pair.

On the other hand, if at the end of the day you have to convert part of the P2P bitcoin to be able to pay in fiat, I don't see much difference to cashing in fiat, spending what you have to spend and buying P2P bitcoin with the rest, apart from the problem with your bank.

You receive a bitcoin transfer at a cost of $1 and only what you need for food is converted into the local currency by p2P trade at a small cost because you exchange bitcoins for cash outside the banking system (banknotes hand to hand).
I do bealive that such a solution can reduce costs and make life easier, especially if the local currency has high inflation and low liquidity.

Do rzeczy:

Binance wraca do UK.

206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about kucoin Snowball - Protective Earn - 26,72 % APR - 7 day on: October 07, 2023, 07:06:54 AM
Is this SPAM?

TBH I am skeptical of any investment that offer more than 15% APR and that is for fiat investments not so said I am more skeptical of that amount in any shitcoin investments. It sound like a SCAM.

Kucoin is a serious exchange, one of the industry leaders, and the investment in question does not affect shitcoins. From what I see, this is a return for lending capital for marketmaking (providing liquidity) on the main currency pairs (BTC/USDT).

It doesn't look like a scam to me, but as I see it, there is a small catch.

"If daily observation price is higher than the Price Protection and lower than the Auto Take Profit price throughout the product duration, the order will be redeemed as scheduled. You will receive principal + return."
"If daily observation price falls below the Price Protection, the order will be early redeemed. Your principal will be converted into BTC using initial BTC price, and the return over the actual holding period will be converted into BTC using the last daily observation price. You will receive BTC + BTC return."
"If daily observation price is above the Auto Take Profit price, the order will be early redeemed. You will receive principal + return over the actual holding period."

If I understand correctly, this is not an investment without currency risk. If the price of bitcoin starts to fall, we will not get our dollars back, only the bitcoins invested at a local top. And it is this additional risk that gives us high APY.

207  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture vs oil on: October 07, 2023, 06:35:10 AM
the economy is currently so tangled that it does not matter in which sector a country specializes. It's important that there's $$ in it. As the poker player pointed out. Without oil, there are no combine harvesters in the fields and without natural gas, there are no fertilizers. Without this, no matter how large the fields are, it will still be cheaper to buy grain from a neighboring country with money from the sale of processors than to collect grain by hand and sow new crops without fertilizers.

Właśnie brakowało mi tutaj rozmów czysto o bitcoinie i sieci.

209  Local / Polski / Co nowego w sieci Bitcoin on: October 06, 2023, 05:32:13 AM
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How has a crypto payment gateway impacted your business growth? on: October 05, 2023, 05:20:34 AM
Still, no big company adds this. Why? Probably because it's more trouble than it's worth considering that currently only 1% of users would use it at most. Most prefer to pay by Visa with $0 customer-side fees.
211  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Up Move Incoming on: October 04, 2023, 06:30:30 PM
What degree of probability do you assign to the rise? Charts, however logical they may seem, can always fail. I tend to think quite probabilistically, even though I don't rely on charts as I invest for the long term, but I trust someone's prediction if he gives a percent estimate of the next market movement according to his analysis more than someone who says that the price is going to go up for sure, which would be the same as assigning a 100% probability. We have to think that there is a world outside the analysis, and a negative news can pull the price down.

news that appears out of the blue and changes the fate of the market, called a "black swan", is an unpredictable phenomenon that no one ever includes in statistics because it is unpredictable. The probability you are talking about, which you see in the analyses, relies on statistics (e.g. A falling wedge is a technical analysis pattern with a predictive accuracy of 74%. The pattern can break out up or down but is primarily considered bullish, rising 68% of the time.)

In other words, when someone gives the probability, it is not because he predicts that an unpredictable phenomenon may occur with a 30% probability XD
212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Up Move Incoming on: October 04, 2023, 02:14:23 PM
Let me know what do you think is about to happen.

This looks good, beside Fib, the short-term downward trend that has been going on since June has been broken. It should be noted, however, that the movement is not supported by volume, and there is strong resistance ahead at the levels 28.5k-29k, which may constitute the frame of the H&S formation.

So we have to be careful, but the situation is certainly better than in recent weeks.
213  Local / Polski / Re: Bitcoin: Marzenie cypherpunkowców, libertarianienców i kryptoanarchistów on: October 04, 2023, 06:16:36 AM

214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu (SHIB): The Rising Star Redefining the Crypto Landscape on: October 03, 2023, 06:28:51 AM
It's hilarious how you kind of put it 😆, especially the last line there. I never saw it that way, anyway. The gambling part (though not gambling as used here) comes with everything business in life. One moves in with one's conviction that the business/investment one is putting one's money on would come up well but in most cases it doesn't. I did a lot of flipping with Shib. Bought and sold, then repeated and rinsed a couple of times. I even staked to earn a particular time, repeated that too. At the moment I hodl not a single Shib. Though I'm waiting for price to drop further and see if I could get in again at discount.

There is huge difference between making business decisions based on solid premises (such as opening a vegetable store in a new neighborhood with no competition, estimated population X, estimated demand Y, and costs Z) versus investing in a token with what they perceive as a "funny name" and a peak valuation of $40 billion. People were literally buying shares in "funny name" at $40B valuation. How else could you call it if not a gambling? I have 2 other names - hot potato or a game or greater fool game.

and trading on something that is doomed to decline by 99% is not wise either. Even if you sometimes succeed, the statistics are against you. In my opinion, trading shib is also not moral because it gives liquidity and capital to people who are destroying the industry.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have betted 100$ on this token [BSC CHAIN] and I explain why on: October 03, 2023, 05:38:31 AM
Looks impossible can raise higher market liquidity in the future based on owner just want to make some people got scam after investing in that shit meme coin. Important with dapp exchange coins listing have bigger liquidity, under $900 is not enough for investor if want huge investment in that coins and I don't optimist will be top shit or meme coins in the future if developer not add liquidity for this coins. Better for OP ask to developer make or add liquidity above 10k$ and make investor seems promising with this shit coins.

a large pool is not necessary to run the project successfully. All ICOs during the 2017 ico bubble were without it. The point here is not that it is not worth investing in project without a huge liquidity pool. The point is that it is not worth bragging about a pool that only proves the lack of starting capital and attitude, which shows that the devs clearly think the investor is an idiot.
216  Local / Polski / Re: Pospekulujmy o aktualnej i przyszłej cenie BTC. on: October 02, 2023, 06:29:09 AM

"September usually has been the weakest month for the S&P 500 since 1945, according to analysis by Sam Stovall of CFRA Research, with an average loss of -0.7%. The best month of the year for stocks over the same period is April, with a 1.6% gain on average."
https://www.investopedia.com/term-of-the-week-september-effect-7964565

217  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for October on: October 02, 2023, 06:17:24 AM
I vote for "Break out above 28k and stay there". Which seems like the most likely scenario to me. I think that we are not at a stage where we will have the strength to make more than 10% in one month, because it would be one of the better Octobers. And this could be expected at a different stage of the cycle, because currently, in my opinion, we are in "disbelief" and not in "thrill" or "euphoria"

Quote
🟢2013 → 60.79%
🟢2015 → 33.49%
🟢2016 → 14.71%
🟢2017 → 47.81%
🟢2019 → 10.17%
🟢2020 → 27.7%
🟢2021 → 39.93%
🟢2022 → 5.56%
⚪2023 → ?? %

Still following, 2022 had the lowest rise. So, with the current price of bitcoin, with a 5% rise take it to 30k? The current price is 27,105 and 5% of it is about +1355 which will not the price above 29k.

There are few years missing Smiley Like 2011 with -35% return. 2014 with -12% or 2018 with -4%

219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bullish Adoption Curve for Bitcoin. on: September 29, 2023, 06:43:52 AM
Did you miss that Bitcoin network and blockchain must have some physical inputs like ASICs (miners), not only nodes, and other infrastructures for mining farms to be a lively network and blockchain?

I think it's fair enough to say both Internet and Bitcoin network must have physical infrastructures to operate.

It's good that you brought this up. there will be no misunderstandings.
Is it possible for the number of bitcoin users to grow 10x without an increase in the number of asic miners? Theoretically yes. Bitcoin's computing power defends it against attacks, but the number of bitcoin transactions per second does not depend on the computing power of miners. There is no system that would physically stop a new user from joining the network. If you wanted to have the Internet in 2000, you had to wait until they installed cable. If you want to use bitcoin in 2023, just download the application, you don't have to wait for a miner to launch a new mining unit especially for you.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bubble bot secures 97.25ETH in private presale on: September 29, 2023, 06:36:53 AM
Bubble Bot Secures 97.25ETH in the presale in just few hours amazing response they got

It doesn't impress me. I'm not saying it happened here, but I've seen such strategies in 2017. Super successful ICO, tokens sold out in 1 second. Then the listing and the price cascade down. Reason? The ICO was fraudulent, the buyers were developers themselves, to then spam social media about the huge demand for their tokens.

What happened to the previous project you hyped? "DingDang Bubble" From what I see, it is not listed on CMC and coingecko. is it Dead?
