201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to handle unethical casino tactics? on: March 25, 2024, 02:13:06 PM
One individual, Sydney, stands out with mind-boggling payouts, one payout of $37,650.00 on a $10.00 bet equaling a payback percentage of 376500% that raise eyebrows. Are these winnings within the realm of normalcy, or do they hint at something more dubious?

Furthermore, it's concerning that this casino operates without a gaming license or fails to disclose it publicly, alongside neglecting to audit a staggering 95% of its games.

Now, I pose a question to the community: Are we comfortable with these practices? And if not, what steps should we take next?

Immediately you become a feel uncomfortable with the services rendered by casino, the next line of action should be to find another casino to gamble on where your concerns are addressed and you feel more comfortable.

There are many names on the list of reputable casinos, if you suddenly feel uncomfortable with one, try another.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How not to lose your Bitcoin ? New encrypted secured KYC Lock Wallet by SN on: March 25, 2024, 01:37:28 PM
For as far as I am concerned about the matter, I have discovered three different way you can protect your Bitcoin.
There are more than three different ways to protect your Bitcoin, there are multiple safety precautions some that have already been stated and some others we will get to discover with time.

Being cautious with new cryptocurrency applications and services within this period where we are close to the halving and after is another security advice so you do not loose your bitcoins to cybercriminals who are skilled enough to develop cryptocurrency applications with the aim to scam people later.

To newbies especially, now is not the time to try new cryptocurrency applications to invest or store your bitcoins, use applications that have a standing reputation already.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a scam on: March 24, 2024, 11:15:58 PM
It's  so funny  that at this stage and century , some people still believe that Bitcoin  is a scam after it has proven itself  over and over  which has led to it's massive adoption.
It is now no longer just funny but now it is just a pitiable situation because anyone having that kind of believe is clearly outdated with information and is clearly showing an actual absence in the ability to  check and verify whatever they know from the internet.

Do not stress yourself about this sort of individuals because if you have tried talking to them and they shown signs of belligerence you better let them be and focus on your own investment which is more important.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 24, 2024, 09:20:00 PM
What do you think about this one, where is are we heading? And can we still consider crypto casino different from fiat casino?
Things have quickly changed in the world of cryptocurrency, so it has affected gambling with it also as well. When there were no concerns about the illegal activities that were been done with bitcoin like money laundering, Casino's could operate freely without KYC. Now that the authorities know that criminals are exploiting their casino accounts and were using it for some sort of illegal activities, Anti Money Laundering laws were formed to tackle it and that involved Casino KYC that challenges anonymity. These laws will not go away, they may even become stricter, and we may see more policies that will further blow out any hope left for anonymity with gambling with crypto.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ International Football Prediction and Discussion Thread ⚽ on: March 24, 2024, 08:38:01 PM
With a very messy team, Brazil defeated a strong team like England. With Brazil's recent decline in performance and the disarray of this team, as a Brazil fan I wasn't expecting Brazil to win against England, but Brazil did.
I never look at the Brazilian side as a messy team because just as England players have a lot of talented players, the Brazilian side also are not short of talents. They also have some of the best players in the world playing in the best leagues, so to me they were equally matched with England.

In the 80th minute of the match, young up-and-coming star Endrick finished brilliantly with a great pass from Vinicius Jr.  Endrick's lone goal sealed the win for the team.
It was not a pass, it was Vinicius trial at goal, that was pushed in the direction of Endrick by the goalkeeper. He placed it cooly an celebrated loudly his first international goal.

Despite such a team condition against the likes of England, a win will undoubtedly restore the confidence of the team's players and management.
Indeed.

At one time I saw such a discussion where many people said that Brazil will not be able to qualify for this World Cup. If Brazil does not qualify for the World Cup, the World Cup will be incomplete because when the football World Cup starts, Argentina and Brazil are the most talked about.
Brazil were one of the favorite teams predicted to win the competition last time, they did not, so we expect them again in the next competition, they have a talented team that can win it, they just need better management.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is saving screenshots of useful information and BTC transactions? on: March 24, 2024, 08:17:53 PM
* My question is, how safe is it to keep screenshots of Bitcoin/crypto transactions and useful information, on ones device?
Sometimes leaving any clue on your phone that you are involved in Bitcoin transactions can put you at risk especially if you are someone that permits friends and family to use your phone. The gallery is one of the places people will always check on your phone when they have any opportunity to use it, and when they are evidence of these sort of transactions, they can become convinced that there is really something to steal from you.

If they are not the type that can plan to steal from you, they will have more confidence to ask you for financial assistance more regularly because they are convinced that you can provide for them from the evidence of the kind of transactions you make regularly from screenshots. If they regularly ask you for assistance and you are the type that finds it difficult to refuse and turn down people, it can greatly affect your ability to DCA properly and even hodl well the investments that you already have.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always check the deposit address on: March 24, 2024, 07:54:13 PM
I recently made a loan using a casino wallet address,
Unless it is money meant for gambling it is usually a big mistake to receive money meant for other purpose through your gambling account.

Cross-checking of deposit address whenever it is to be made should be a culture of every investor because asides deposits address changing, there is also the possibility of clipboard virus in your device without your knowledge so you must always cross check to be sure so that whenever an address changes you will be prompt to really observe it before you make the mistake of sending.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End Goal or Keep HODLing? on: March 24, 2024, 07:34:38 PM
Should I leave my Bitcoin forever without selling it or set a goal that I have in mind and when it reaches that goal I sell and take my profits?
Nobody on this forum has the right to dictate what you do with your Bitcoin by the time he hits a target that you're okay with. You will Always hear people talk about hodling bitcoins for as long as possible, the "as possible" from that statement means to the point when you are okay with hodling and then decide to sell off some for other purpose.

While hodling your bitcoins, have  a target and a purpose for hodling, having a target or a purpose for hodling can be something to motivate you into hodling more.
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 2030 Assumptions on: March 23, 2024, 11:59:19 PM
BTC 2030, what is your educated opinion on the state of BTC come the end of the decade?
Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will become more of a normal discussion and maybe by then there will be another exciting technology or opportunity for investment that may be taking away the attention or competing with the attention of people against the investing in cryptocurrency particularly bitcoins. We never expected a technology and innovation like cryptocurrency particularly Bitcoin to come out in this decade, so that is that another technology may break out again in this decade. By 2030 also, I see acceptance and adoption among businesses and individuals.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ International Football Prediction and Discussion Thread ⚽ on: March 23, 2024, 11:46:28 PM
There was also an interesting game between France and Germany with the latter team winning it by two goals, one of it scored since the beginning of the game.
It was a friendly game between France and Germany but definitely the results would have counted for something and the press would not have hesitated to backlash Germany if they had lost, and also question the preparedness of the team to host the euro competition. It's a good thing that Germany were able to win against a tough opponent like France and also maintain a clean sheet, to mean that is a clear indication that they are ready to host the other nations of the world in this Euro competition.

Brazil were able to score a goal and win against England. Both teams had top players playing except of their captains.
I do not like that the English coach did not rest Declan Rice in the friendly game, he did not even consider his importance to Arsenal and the series of important games that our club will need him for. That is just bad, I hope the coach rests him in their next game.
211  Other / Meta / Re: Poll: Acceptability of Signature Wearer's Use of Insults and Foul Language on: March 23, 2024, 11:32:37 PM
It is normal in the mode of communication for some people to use foul language in their speech, and while you may see and consider their language foul as offensive, these people may not see anything wrong in it.

A campaign manager should add to the campaign rules that foul languages and use of insulting words are not permitted in the campaign, so that if any member or signature campaign wearer who defaults will understand that they have broken a rule.
It will not be fair to some forum members who speak this way and are wearers of a signature, if they are penalized without warning.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can bring positivity and light into people's lives on: March 23, 2024, 11:02:09 PM
~
Good to focus on the positive sides of gambling, there are just too many negative post about gambling, we need a reminder always that gambling can also be good.

I created a similar topic three years ago on this forum, I will like to quote it, so new forum members can read it to their benefit as well.
Quote
From self evaluation and the evaluation of a few gamblers around me, i have observed that over time due to gambling activity, some characters worthy of emulation have been unconsciously developed by some.

Some of the characters that i have observed from the life of a few core gamblers around me and myself are;

-Development of Risk taking ability; to win big in life, you must be willing to try, and gamblers have so developed their risk taking ability.

-Development of the ability to quickly let go of things and move on; Dwelling on the past and the possibility of "what could have been" is really not healthy and it can weigh you down and distract you from "what can be". Though not so easy, gamblers have developed this ability to easily look ahead from the "near win" of yesterday, to try again today.

-Positive mentality (that is always believing that everyday we gamble, it may just be our lucky day for the big win).

- Consistency/ Not quiting attitude; Always trying regardless of  previous results.

If you see yourself as a gambler, i implore you to put yourself in perspective and please share any positive trait that has been developed in your life as a result of gambling.

213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dangerous insights on bitcoin Investor on: March 23, 2024, 10:47:58 PM
This has to be a great lession to those of us who are not alternated with other source of incomes aside bitcoin or the AltCoins that while we're constantly being seated at home without a scale of going in and out probably like attending to the designated places of where we earns income and yet living comfortably even more better than those who claims to be working classes that eyes are being watching at us and people around would be much sensitive and desperate to know the source of our incomes since they could always have us always being at home.
Let's play this bitcoin investment smartly and save ourselves from insighting dangers.
When you are poor, people are not in a hurry to investigate the source of your poverty, but when you become rich, this same people become curious to know the source of your wealth. You need to be very careful and make changes to your life when you notice that you are doing much better than everyone in your environment. The best thing in this situation will be to change your environment to a place where there are people who are doing really well, much better than you are. Another thing you can do is to try start up a business or something that you can always refer to as your source of income, to avoid people. Because people fear what they do not understand, they will always fear the fact that they do not understand what you do.
214  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Work from home or an office job? on: March 22, 2024, 11:57:55 PM
Working from home came in and most persons are yet to come to terms with it with a misconceived idea that it always has an element of illegality in it. And for the younger once who stay with their parents but are into online business/jobs, some parents tend to term them lazy due to the amount of time spent on their gadgets.
It is because of lack of exposure or poor exposure that people still think that anyone who says that they work online or work remotely are involved in something illegal.

Do you think the office job is over hyped?
Most office jobs are just overhyped because they actually just give you a status in the society but not actually some level of financial freedom and time. If you even carry out an exercise for evaluation, you will discover that most office workers are tired of their job because of the discomfort, and limited time they have to themselves, but they just have to keep going because refusal to do so will mean that they get sacked or fired by their boss.

Is it true that for you to make it big in the online space, you must be involved in an act of illegality?
This is not true, this is just a bad orientation that can spoil your mindset. You need to be careful of anyone who talks this way.

If you give office workers the opportunity to work remotely, I assume that more than half will be interested in working remotely because it eliminated transaportation cost, and gives the opportunity for you to plan your time well and give yourself some breaks in between.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA vs Smart DCA, what do you choose? on: March 22, 2024, 04:35:16 PM
Personally I see a traditional DCA strategy is better.
Traditional DCA does not require any serious knowledge, just requires some level of commitment to achieve success. It will be easier for a new investor to easily adopt the traditional DCA because it requires simple knowledge.

Traditional DCA is okay for me, and will also be my recommendation to a new investor.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: Worldcup qualifiers - CAF. on: March 22, 2024, 03:46:47 PM
Finidi George is a great player, and I believe that he will be able to coach his team with the experience that he has gained throughout his career in football.
He has his first chance today to show that he can handle the job, Nigeria play Ghana in a friendly game, and although it is a friendly game, it will not be a good start for Finidi George if the super eagles loose this first game with him as manager.

Nigeria and Ghana have this rivalry between them, the players will take the game seriously.

I like that the new coach was once a player for the National team, his level of patriotism will be high.
217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I invest to BTC? on: March 22, 2024, 02:12:33 PM
I am a small investor. I have some money to invest. How can I invest this money?
If any personal comes to you with a private referral to sign up to a strange platform where you can buy your bitcoins from, there is a big chance of it being a scam, even if the message is from an account having a high rank.

As you are interested in learning about ways to invest, also learn ways to keep your investment safe too.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 21, 2024, 09:24:05 PM
$10 million dollars seems like a lot to normal people, but to Mike Tyson it is probably very concerning.  Enough so that he's taking this fight...  He doesn't have a day job, so it isn't like he has this regular stream of income.  He has his podcast, which he just shut down, that I'm assuming employs a lot of people and costs him a lot to run.  With all the podcasts nowadays, I'm sure he isn't bringing in the same money he was previously.  So I think it really is a situation where he wants a final payday to retire on while simultaneously doing things like ending his podcast to cut his liabilities and give him a chance to be smart with his money going forward so he has a comfortable end of life scenario.
He is fortunate to still be able to take advantage of the opportunity of making some money through fighting.

This is a good fight that he can win. Francis made so much money from just his two fights even though he lost, shows that there is enough money to be made from boxing.

Tyson is doing the fight for both money and ego.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: Worldcup qualifiers - CAF. on: March 21, 2024, 09:05:37 PM
Who is following up on the ongoing 13th African games that's taking place in Ghana?
Just a run down on the medal table; Egypt is currently taking the load with 167 medals already and Nigeria is at the second position with 90 medals in the bad followed by south africa who currently at the third position.
I am following it up, but this is not the best place to discuss it. @OP

Maybe you did not notice it, but this thread is for discussion involving African football, not just all African sports.

220  Economy / Economics / Re: Farming and it importance to the economy on: March 21, 2024, 05:01:08 PM
Let discuss guys what do you think about farming to economy
Farming is very important but with the new opportunities in cryptocurrency and other fields many young people would not be interested in going into farming when they can get engaged in tech, cryptocurrency and other opportunities in the digital space. This is also a reason why there is also a decline in the number of people delving into agriculture.

It will be difficult to shift the attention of the young people who are supposed to carry on agricultural practice from the new technology and opportunities in the digital space back to agricultural, but it is not impossible if the government can actually make the sector very attractive that it becomes hard to ignore.
