201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 28, 2024, 05:39:55 PM
Ten Hag was given free reign, and he decide to focus on young players, but apparently he did not take into account the fact that they would have little experience to compete with the leaders. Does it make sense to blame anyone now, I think not. Will ten Hag be able to radically change the game of the team with such a squard, I think that the answer will also be no, at least in the near future he will definitely not be able to achieve this.

What has this young players brought to the table since they joined the team, nothing new but few wins and many losses that is unhealthy for the club. He had the chance to sing Haaland but he thought it was expensive, he also has to sign a better goal keeper but instead he settled for Onana, now his shallow tactics has put the club in a very bad state, not in the Champions League, not in the Europa and not in the top 4 this seasons, what a failure.

Out of there 38 matches, only 28 has been played and out of that they won just  15, that's slightly above average and draw only 2 games, the rest are were losses, this is to say that they didn't minimize their loss and this is why  they are were they are right now, it will be difficult for them to make top 4 but if they do, they will earn a lot of fans respect.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 27, 2024, 07:28:41 PM
Crypto has been known for anonymity. During the early stage, we like to promote it using the words "decentralized" and "anonymous ", and it's the main reason why a lot of gamblers have chosen to gamble using crypto to gain full privacy, but it seems like things have really change a lot now as gamblers are looking for a casino that are licensed while some casinos who promotes anonymous gambling eventually act like a fiat casino that requires KYC.

What do you think about this one, where is are we heading? And can we still consider crypto casino different from fiat casino?

By statistic, fiat casino have more population of gamblers than crypto base casino and do you know why they were able to achieve this numbers? That's because they are government approved and also has some offices in region where they are licensed. So the gamblers feel safe using the casino because they know they wouldn't run away with their money since they are governments approved and allow to operate fully but crypto casino doesn't have this privileges even with the business numbers, they feel trapped because of the crypto hate by some group of government, the have no choice but to act like they are like fiat casino even when they have crypto options.

If you check some casino that are crypto based, you will found out that they have option to deposit through your local bank and for this reason, they have to comply with the host country for KYC because of the fiat involved and some doesn't involve fiat but they still asked for this kyc just to avoid problems like money laundering  later in the future. With all these, it will be difficult to have anything decentralized casino unless they want to operate as illegal without making any form of registration and licensing.
203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 27, 2024, 04:18:46 PM
It's time for Mbappe to look for a new challenge to win a prestigious trophy that has never been won in his career. It is very realistic if he chooses to move to Real Madrid rather than stay at PSG which has no chance of winning the UCL trophy. Mbappe is a great player, he also has the chance to win the Ballon D'or if he can win the UCL trophy and several other trophies in the domestic league.

If he continues to chase money then his career will never develop, he must prioritize his career and create personal history by becoming a player capable of winning prestigious trophies. He is still at a very productive age, he has to choose career over money, this opportunity doesn't come twice, he has to take advantage of this opportunity to become the best player in the world.

I want to seriously see him win the Champions League because Mbape is talented to almost win the World Cup twice for France but I don't understand why you think PSG will not win the Champions League. Past years, PSG had Messi, Neymar and Mbape with couple of other good center back and they didn't win the Champions League but now with just minority of the team, they are now in the quarter final and Mbape is among the top players with the highest goal in the Champions League, if they put effort, they might have a chance.

There is nothing here that Mbape is chasing, what I'm seeing is a player that is good and there is demand from many clubs and where there is high demand for a player, there must be a high price for highest bidder, that's what football is all about. PSG has spent a lot of money on him and he is an investment to them which they will make sure they must get back what they have spent and is even the more reason why they never allow him to be a free agent, they want to sell him and not just let him go like that.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 27, 2024, 04:04:38 PM
I'm not doubting that the UEFA Champions League will not be interesting if Real Madrid or Manchester City are knocked out in the quarterfinal. The interest in watching the UEFA Champions League will reduce because Real Madrid and Manchester City supporters will not want to watch the UEFA Champions League again when Real Madrid or Manchester City are knocked out.

You guys are making the Champions League look like the battle is only between Real Madrid and Manchester City. Wasn't Real Madrid kick out last season in the quarter final and yet a lot of people turn up for Inter, In fact a lot of people didn't want Manchester City to win, they want Inter to win so they can shade Manchester City because they feel City has won a lot and deserved to allow another team to win the Champions League and to say that Inter tried their best because they only conceded a single goal after many short on targets by Manchester City.

If Arsenal make it to the Champions League final, a lot of folks are going to turn up more than any of them because for a club that don't use to he consider as one of the best suddenly became an asset and then made a huge place in the Champions League is something many would want to see the end. I am not confidence in them but who knows if football is going to happen.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: March 27, 2024, 03:52:56 PM
The spirit use to come to my mind whenever I want to play a bet and my mind will be telling me to increase the $5 I use to gamble everyday to $10, but I use to ignored such spirit because my daily budget for gambling every day is $5 and the moment the $5 didn't bring good results from the gambling, that is the end of my gambling in that whole day .

This voices from the head is very easy thing to deal with because I think it's normal thing to have your mind giving your some advice. The best way to deal with this is make sure that you use a tight management of risk in gambling. If you have $100 as initial bankroll, let's that be your bankroll and no additional funding should come from anywhere. If from that $100 and $10 will go to each game, let it be that $10. With this strickness and personal rules, even your head wouldn't be able to mess with you.

Most often greed is the reason why here this voices, you probably have $10 with $200 return after making multiple return and despite that having a return of $200 looks more risky, your voice will still be telling you that why not try $40 so that you can round the outcome to $800. If you do and you don't win, you have miss the opportunity to gamble 3 more times and if you don't have nothing in your bankroll, that's all for you for that period.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: March 27, 2024, 03:41:45 PM
Personally, I would consider it fun when my budget is much greater than my losses or when I gamble with someone else's money, and this is something I would not do if I had no benefit in it.

I think there are those who agree with me and those who do not agree with me, but it remains my personal opinion and it's an opportunity to share it with you on this topic.

So where's the fun when you lose your money?

Gambling loss can't be avoided but it can be minimize, thqt should be the main motivation of gambling but I hope you know that even though money is a motivation of gambling, it's not everyone that will win because the system isn't design to favour you and beside not every gambler has the skills to win and understand gambling like everyone. If in a day, the number of people that won in a casino is up to 10, there are 999 people that lost money for that day, not everyone can win in gambling.

Furthermore, like I said, some people are not smart and skill when it comes to gambling. I will give you an instance. In football gambling, do you know that we have some people that play nothing other than straight win when there are plenty of other options that you can explore and make your ways to win. In casino sports, you can play your ways round 200 options and, in fact most the time the big wins comes from big manipulation of options in gambling; this is why I said skills and IQ is very necessary in gambling.
207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A mistake you would surely regret on: March 25, 2024, 02:08:02 PM
Don't let the green you see everywhere confuse you to forget the basis of investment, do your own research and don't follow the crowd that has no knowledge in what they are doing, don't let greed push you into looking for outrageous profits like 100x on new projects and you end up losing your money to scammers.

This is the most difficult part been here especially if you are new here. Seeing market today and then the next day you see everywhere is green, your intuitive sense is telling you to buy but you ignore and then the next day you see another pump, if you are not experienced and descipline with how the market moves, you will be tempted to jump in, that's what memes coins on Solana are doing right now, everyone is seeing it as the next trend but check back in 3 years time, they will be forgotten.

Quote
Avoid rapid investment or aggressive investment by putting money in every project available, take your time to research and make informed decisions, it's better to have only 5 good coins in your portfolio than to have a 100 shit coins there.

Very soon, you will see them everywhere, they are just waiting for the new trend where they can camouflage their plans and then as soon as one of the projects become a success, the rest will follow and later you will start hearing this was scam and how they lost all their investment due to lack of due diligence particularly th newbies.

Quote
Lastly invest what you can afford to lose, or rather stake what you can afford to lose cause I know no matter the advice many read they woudl still invest in shit coins so stake what you can afford to lose.

Another crucial warning, never invest an amount you think you can afford to lose, don't take that money you need for feeding, health and household bills to invest thinking that you will make more as investment, nothing is guaranteed when it comes to crypto investment, you need to know that risk is synonymous to crypto investment.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Less than 80 days until the 4th Ever #Bitcoin Halving on: March 25, 2024, 12:42:52 PM
Ethereum current shifting from PoW to PoS is clear example of its centralisation. It also has unlimited supply of coins which means coins will keep coming with time and already 120 million Ethereum coins are in circulation according to CMC. Such alt coins are very much linked to bitcoin for price moment. You will see them going up mostly when Bitcoin is up and vice versa. They don't have ability to move on there own and that's why they are classified as useless copy of Bitcoin.

Your points are right and at the same time wrong. Ethereum has moved from proof of work to proof of work due to energy consumption challenges which of course they risk centralized, if you look at the number of staked ETH and validators, you will see that the tokens are been concentrated to one which is the coinbase staking platform. However, Ethereum for now has a fixed total supply, the number has not increased nor reduced for some years which means that no additional supply is coming but the maximum supply is not capped like Bitcoin that has Total supply=Max supply, Ethereum can decide to add coins anytime in the future. Bitcoin has a fix maximum supply of 21M while Ether doesn't.

All other altcoins can't grow on their own unless there is a good news that want th growth of that coin like something positive, this is why most coins tend to have more value during the Bitcoin halving, but when they do, they move 2x, 3x or 10x depending on how demanding that altcoins has been with speculators and traders. If Bitcoin crash today, many altcoins will follow and some may even die in the process.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End Goal or Keep HODLing? on: March 24, 2024, 09:05:39 PM
I've been buying Bitcoin since last year when it dipped in December i know it's not long. Since then I have held my bitcoin firmly regardless of the price increase this year I still decided to sit on it. Although I do not have enough Bitcoin because I have little money then if I were to sell my holdings now I would have 3 times of I invested.

Also, I have the belief that Bitcoin will keep breaking new ATH forever. Should I leave my Bitcoin forever without selling it or set a goal that I have in mind and when it reaches that goal I sell and take my profits?

What do you do?

On what principles guide your actions in the realm of Bitcoin (BTC)?

Right within you, there is a voice telling you what you should do, others opinion should just be an additional or perhaps to quantify your own strategy. I'm saying this because some people has blame others for not telling them to sell their coins at the top when Bitcoin was all time high in the last run and the have settle for their loss. If you have 3x of your investment in Bitcoin, maybe you should just sell and then buy back if their is any dip in the future and if there is not, then you stay neutral for a while and then put more money together and buy when you have the chance.

Buying more close to the previous all time high is not a perfect way to buy Bitcoin because you are buying below the resistance. If in the end we cross the all time high after the halving, then you can buy again because I believe then bull run should be fully in by then but don't forget to exit again when you have enough profits because it would be really bad feeling for all these stress without having profits.
210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take Profits! Its important! on: March 24, 2024, 08:48:03 PM
When we are at Extreme Greed you need to be taking some profit off the table. Most people in crypto fail to keep the money they've made. They either sell too late or they selfishly watch all profits fall back to zero.

I've seen this happening each cycle.

We all need to understand that 1st priority in crypto is surviving. Profits are in 2nd place. Yes that sounds counterintuitive, but it's really simple. The real skill is not in making money. The real skill is in keeping it.

I hope you found this useful. Keep up the flow, and may the force be with you.

Sometimes is not greed that doesn't make people sell their coins, it's the experience of the market they don't have, they are blind by the illusion of price going to a level where they can have the life they have always wanted to have, it's a good thing to anticipate but been wishing for impossible is a delusional thing to even think about. I mean, you will see someone that bought Bitcoin at $40k and they are wishing to see Bitcoin to do 10x from that place when they don't even know that Bitcoin need to add like 10T trillion to its market cap in other to achieve such price.

There is nothing bad if you sell as long as you didn't sell at loss but a lot of them will have an outstanding profits and will not sell, there are some that will even have good profits that's enough for them to exit but will watch their profits from green becomes red, some become worthless that even in the next bull run, they don't get investors attention again. Investors should learn that profits is profits and not all potential profits does comes to realization.
211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself on: March 24, 2024, 08:06:55 PM
Also, anyone who tells you that you can become a profitable trader in just two months is a liar. Trading takes time to be acquainted with. It takes 3-4 years before a trader can be seen as a consistent and professional trader.

I will say what you wrote over there is not accurate. I wouldn't say you are wrong, you could be writing from your own experience but don't generalized what you know with what is out there because human are different, we learn different in different ways in different time. There are people thay can learn trading in few months and they will get basic things, it's their experience over time that will be teaching them the rest of trading, time teach us a lot and that's what trading is about especially this crypto trading.

Quote
Let me work you through this step I am using to be a professional trader

1. Learning on YouTube and other PDF resources online
2. Attending conferences and watching trading podcast
3. Find a mentor, whether offline or online. You may not be close to this person but always study his trade
4. Practice always and maintain consistency

In addition to the ones you have mentioned, if you want to go far in trading I think you can't have everything for free, a trader should be ready to invest on himself. You can't have a complete trading videos on a YouTube platform or PDF materials, if you do some be complex to digest but if you try UDEMY videos, the tutors are friendly and the videos are the best. You can use torrents to get some on some web but I guess they are illegal to do so in some jurisdictions but the videos are helpful.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investment a necessity or a want? on: March 24, 2024, 07:38:59 PM
It is am obvious fact there are a lot of coins coming in to the market and Bitcoin halving is so close and alot of people are also diving in to the  market, but some thing actually triggered me creating this thread which is where I got the attention from, some one very close to me has been prioritizing coins involvement other than his health care. What are your option on this?

How do you know that people are not investing on their health care? Did you have any claim to back this up? Before I come back to your subject of discussion, I will love to address your main body of discussion. People buy coins because they believe that in every Bitcoin halving, it usually brings about a new bull run and that's the time coins do pump and that's why you see people buying this coins to get the opportunity of this pumps, it's a risk they are willing to take and not because they don't value their health. Majority of them are always short term investors that pu out of the market as soon as they are done having some profits.

Investment is a necessity, even though you are filthy rich today, you stop need to have a good investment otherwise in some years your money will vanish before your eyes. However, I think some of the wana be crypto investors are doing it for quick gains, they want to use $50 to get $100k so they buy Lamborghini and have a nice holiday in pacific ocean on a yacht which is nothing but show off and want in my opinion.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So Solana is 20x up but Ethereum is dying, yet for years ppl shill Eth why? on: March 24, 2024, 07:23:36 PM
You are doing exactly what the whales want you to do, 2 years ago you guys were guys were trending Solana for it's bad PR that led a lot of people to lose millions, people lost fortune but then because it crashed so hard and because it was a potential coin back then, they restock and now using meme coin to pump it back due to the demand, it's a shame that people no longer care to check perimeters of blockchain such as speed and other basic things we used in comparison. Now, you are here saying ETH is dying because it's not be manipulated like Solana.

The only problem why we are having this subject of discussion and comparisons is because of Ethereum speed and I think the team is no longer giving itself headache concerning that aspect because layer 2 are there for just that, even the Ethereum Dencun upgrade was to make layer 2 to sync faster speed with Ethereum and it's working for them. After the speed, Ethereum chain has everything you need me in any project, the rest of the project are just looking for cheap score and attention when they do the comparism. If you want projects that can 20x in a year, maybe you should try Solana memes since you like Solana so much and it's alive.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme and Alt Coins investors, how do you treat with your conscience? on: March 23, 2024, 07:00:28 PM
To those that invests on MemeCoins and the disreputable highily weaked volatility AltCoins, how do you treat with your conscience? How peacefully do you get your eyes closed when asleep knowing that they are short term investments that can earn you regreted if you don't sell at the right time which you were opportuned to make profit?

It's simple, they invest any money weather it's the money you need right now or later, it doesn't matter how important that money, they buy their favorite coins and then start to imagine how they will use the money to change their life, imagine their dream car and dream house with the life they have always wanted. When the coin dump, they console theirself with the believe that the coin will be valuable in the future and if after waiting for months and probably didn't see any positive result, they go after tweets to spam their favorite coins on Binance and other exchanges particularly the ones that are low caps and are yet to be listed on tier 1 exchanges.

One common thing about men investors is that they believed their investment will grow in multiple fold which is why even if you continue to advice them, they wouldn't accept it. I remember how some of my friends were calling Babydoge to a cent in the last bull run, I laugh so hard with the way they were already having plans for their investment until everything crashed but it seems their was a little recovery, some people were able to get their capital out. You can't save people from this coins, too real for them.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 23, 2024, 06:11:40 PM
The two teams are actually equally strong and if one of them wins it would be very appropriate and that's not only for Real Madrid, because Manchester City will also try not to lose in this match which takes place at Real Madrid's home ground. And even if they lose, Manchester City will try not to lose too much so that they don't have difficulty making a comeback in the second leg when the match takes place at home. So the match will be quite exciting to watch because both of them have extraordinary abilities in the Champions League.

Not in the last 30 years I have seen Manchester City with a record of Champions League until last year and I didn't see any team that has won it repeatedly like Real Madrid and that was during the era of top men that did wonderful in football, I'm not sure Real Madrid are going to be that easy for Manchester City, even if they are easy they wouldn't give them a chance to go past this level, I so much have confidence in Real Madrid going to the semi final than Manchester City.

Real Madrid are going to make it out of the Semi final to the final place, and the only team that I think are worthy of them in t final is going to be Barcelona. People expect less from them and that's why they are going to shock the world by the time they silently crowl to that final and then Real Madrid will beat them in the final. Winning Laliga and then win Champions League is going to be a wonderful result for Real Madrid.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your take? on: March 23, 2024, 05:52:56 PM
Straight to the point most people are afraid of compiling big odds and now decide to go for lower odds with huge staking power which is not even guaranteed to give the predicted results. For example, there could be a match between Newcastle VS Tottenham Hotspur and both teams are having 1.5 and 1.3 odds respectively, a gambler may decide to bet only on Tottenham to straight win by only selecting this one game on his slip, what is your take on this kind of gambling, risking bigger money on some low odds with a small potential win and still the possibility of your pick to win is not even certain.

If betting on a single match with huge amount of money is basically working for the gambler, I don't think there is absolutely nothing wrong with such strategy, the aim and objectives of gambling is predicting this and seeing it goes as you expected it or want it. Multiple odds are good return on bets but you know they have high risk and has probability of loss most often, you can't predict 10 games to go as expected and you will see that, if you bet 10 games for days, you might never have one in that 10 days but a single match can be won 5 times if you are good in making predictions.

If you look the two on their risk aspect, you will think it's faster to lose much money on a single bet but I think it depends on what you are staking, even with multiple odds, their are gambler that stake high amount of money and see it as nothing and we also have people that stake small amount of money on a single bets, it's all about individuality and personal ways of betting what we can afford to lose.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 23, 2024, 05:39:41 PM
Arsenal managed the top position after leading 7 goals difference from Liverpool although both team have the same points awhile, Premier League used goals difference format not head to head. But have many matches left and not really impact with goals difference because three teams have chance to make more difference points on standings position.
Next match, Manchester City won't get draw against Arsenal because three points helping raise to the top position and fight with Liverpool for winning tittle, Arsenal on the same position they need win all matches left if won't get failed like last season after leading the first standings but at the end have dropped and Manchester City won the Premier League.

This is what many people don't understand about team performance, just because a team is good at finishing doesn't mean the team is good at defending and most of the time, analysts has said it many times that if you want to have a good finish of a match, your center back need to be as solid as concrete, the midfield need to be free and connected back and forth and lastly, the center forward need to be fast in converting any chance they get, this is how you win matches and that's what Arsenal has been doing all this while.

I want to see Arsenal worse on that match day, I have said this before and I'm saying it again that If Arsenal mistakenly win Manchester City, there is nothing in the Premier League currently that can stop them from winning the Premier League title, that match will programmed it in their head because going over to Etihad to finish them is like going to hell and then come back unscratched and untampered.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop gambling if you don’t have free time to do it on: March 23, 2024, 05:26:21 PM
The result is I don’t have much energy at work due to insufficient sleep and I lose funds on gambling because I keep playing quick due to my limited time. The effect is very disadvantageous to me since I both lose in these situations. This is the reason why I change my gambling pattern significantly that limit me to play only during weekends when I don’t have job tomorrow.

This is an advice based on my experience, don’t ever insert gambling on your schedule if you really don’t have free time for it because it will always result to disaster in both gambling and your life.

This message is for casino gamers, you can't enjoy playing casino games either online or offline if you don't have the time because of the resident time needed for it but as a sport bettor that love playing for fun, I think most matches are set for Saturdays and Sundays which are weekend for you to relax at home, this is the perfect time for your to bet if you want to gamble, you don't even need to do more research, just look at the matches for that and make your pick after doing their analysis and you will be fine.

I have a question about the gambling affecting your life negatively, is it financial or how you spend your free time gambling? I believe gambling with little money wouldn't do much or any impact in one's life unless you are a heavy gambler that love to wager big amount of money and you know what next when you lose such amount of money to gambling, I advice you gamble responsibly.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 22, 2024, 10:30:17 PM
If Arsenal is given the opportunity and defeats Manchester City, they will most likely claim the league title. However, it will be very difficult to defeat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, but anything can happen in the game, and Arsenal may be lucky and win the match as they did in the first leg. Guadiola will be very preferable for Arsenal on the 30th after the international break, because they still have the opportunity to win the Premier League title this time and make it back to back.

It's going to be a big celebration for Arsenal to win Manchester City but it's likely not, maybe it would have happen if it were in Emirate because of th home advantage but it's the same advantage that Arsenal are going to have in their home that Manchester City are going to use to win them in that match. I know football can happen but I'm just confidence in Manchester City to secure this point especially now that Liverpool has given them opportunity to after losing their second goal of the season.

Quote
But if Arsenal loses to Manchester City, Liverpool will win the league, and I know only Klopp can outperform Guadiola in the league, and Manchester City still has challenging games to play in the league, so it will be extremely difficult for Manchester City to win all of their remaining matches. In my opinion, Saka is not hurt; it's simply that they don't want to risk him in the England deliberate break. I'll say Arteta made a good choice, because without Saka, I don't think they'll be able to fight Guadiola at the Etihad.

If Arsenal should win that match, then we hope they win because that's not the end of the journey yet, we have seen how Big teams play against each other and either one lose or they draw and then later lose to a small team. Whah they should do after winning this match is to make sure that they win the rest of the match otherwise winning Manchester City and losing to other teams is as good as losing to Manchester City because they will win the rest of theit matches for sure.

What do you think about this? Do such people deserve a platform even on Kick?

Some people has zero idea about something but because others are doing, they will want to follow the same path not knowing that some people are doing it for the passion and not the money but they are few though but we have them. Now, when they now start and it doesn't go as they expect, they make loss, they are stuck on that evidence to make back th money, they try and try and in that process addiction kicks in, the game becomes normal until they start to lose. This addiction stage is one of the most dangerous stage of gambling, have seen a guy I know took his own life because of a mistake he made gambling.

I don't know for others but I have seen life so tough and I don't think I can take my life for anything, it's not worth it, even if I don't have the money of the world, I cherish the small moments I have shared with my love ones and how I will put them in a lot of pain if I die prematurely.
