201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 16, 2024, 03:11:05 PM
This little dip is nothing.  I have much bigger problems; the rabbits are eating the tulips we planted last fall so my wife ordered some coyote urine from Amazon and instructed me to spray it over everything.  It's a tiny little spray bottle that you have to pump with your finger much like a bottle of perfume and it comes out in such a fine mist (also just like perfume)... well it went everywhere with the breeze a now I smell like a f@#$ng homeless coyote.  I'm hoping it's not female coyote urine or I'm going to be in big trouble.  I think I'll just skip my nature walk today.

When I look at that little dip and your problem with tulips/rabbits/spray I remember my problem with this crazy climate that has completely changed and from 30+ degrees Celsius since a few days ago, tomorrow morning they say it will be close to 0 degrees Celsius and my tulips, all other flowers and vegetables that are not resistant to low temperatures could be destroyed. I tried with certain covers that protect against low temperatures, but the wind is so strong that unfortunately it doesn't make sense. I hope the meteorologists are wrong this time.

If I deposit $100 or $120 worth of bitcoins per month from here, how much will it benefit me? Is it right for me to invest more $ in Bitcoin than this? And should I invest the whole money in Bitcoin?

If you invest $100 every month, it means that you will have $1200 (in BTC) in one year, and if the price of BTC increases by 100%, it means that you will earn exactly as much as you invested (minus tax if you have to pay it). Considering that you are asking whether you should go "all in", then you probably don't know about the rule that you invest only as much as you are ready to lose.

In addition to the fact that the price of BTC is volatile, take into account other risks such as hacking, phishing, physical robbery and natural disasters. All of the above can result in you losing your investment in the blink of an eye.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Original "Buy Bitcoin" sign for sale at an auction in a couple of days on: April 16, 2024, 02:31:09 PM
Who would forget that event considering that he obviously pissed off aunt Yellen while she was talking about how printing money is the solution to the financial crisis or whatever she was already talking about. I even had that picture as my avatar for a while Smiley

One thing that I just noticed is that as you can see on this photo, the page seems to have been removed from the pad:
---
It can be that the page was simply put on top of the pad to make it look more like the original.

It doesn't seem to me that the original is identical to what is being sold at the auction. Even then, the original paper was apparently in bad condition (somewhat crumpled), and this current one looks brand new without any signs of use. If I had something like that, I would probably keep it for myself and put it on the wall - but obviously it doesn't go very well for a man if he decides to do something like this.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved in Hong Kong on: April 16, 2024, 02:09:33 PM
If I remember correctly, when the ETF in the US was approved, bitcoin did not increase in price immediately after and disappointed many people. But after a while, bitcoin grew strongly and even created a new ATH. It can be seen that the market needs time to absorb news and news like this also takes time to positively impact the market. We cannot expect that everything will react immediately.

Approval does not mean automatic trading, and it is known that trading will only start in about 2 weeks, so obviously the news in itself does not (so far) have any positive effect on the price.

I think China is more afraid of being backward than the US and they need to adjust things so they don't fall behind in the cryptocurrency race. The 2 largest economies in the world have entered the cryptocurrency revolution, I think other countries will also soon start participating because no one wants to be left behind.

Do people still think that China needs cryptocurrencies and wants to compete with the US or anyone else in any way? It is true that people who have been exposed to communist ideas for a long time are a bit lost in space and time, but would the communist party be so stupid as to first ban the trading and mining of cryptocurrencies, and now want to get back into the game?

China's economy is so huge that if 100% BTC mining took place in that country and all CEXs were there, all that profit would be just dust in their annual GDP.
205  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 0.33 BTC Locked in Muhus Wallet or Has Been Hacked. on: April 16, 2024, 01:49:10 PM
Please can you help me out to check the app or the website and if it's working in your country please me to transfer the coins to another wallet. Please. Because the coins are stuck there and there is nothing we can do here because the app and the site is not working in my country. I can send your the details on pm.

Upon searching I found this on Reddit posted last month, they're talking that this wallet is 100% scam.

I think that the legitimacy of that service is quite clear, so one thing that could happen to your friend is that they ask for even more money to "unlock" the account. Unfortunately, this is a classic scam where they constantly try to convince you that you should pay more, and when you refuse, they block your account.
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 15, 2024, 02:39:00 PM
Strong indications of a Trump victory in the fall.

Trump will bury evs and release the fraken (sorry for the pun)

My advice to my fellow americans is lots of canned food on hand.

water on hand.

air filters on hand

water filters on hand.

at least one gun or pistol per person.

ammo

Honestly, you don't have an easy choice (if you have one at all), given that you have to choose between a man who is obviously seriously ill (demented) and one who has already tried to cause a coup in which the blood of innocent people was spilled. It seems that the average American no longer wants someone normal in the White House - so even though it is your internal political matter, the problem is that the re-election of Trump will have consequences for the whole world - of course negative.

By the way, the critics say that the film is "brutally good".

@Yamane_Keto, strange, I couldn't find anything when I searched by keywords - maybe it's the browser, the search engine, or there is some geo-ban on displaying the results for the same... Huh

However, when I look at the design of the site, it reminds me a lot of some scam exchanges that used a similar template. I hope I'm wrong, although it doesn't look legit to me personally.

208  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 0.33 BTC Locked in Muhus Wallet or Has Been Hacked. on: April 15, 2024, 01:08:16 PM
I didn't find any trace of it, it seems that someone made sure that wallet disappeared - at least as far as those who won't use some special skills to try to find some trace that is more difficult or impossible to erase. I can only repeat the same question - did your friend get the opportunity to make a backup in the form of a seed word or anything else (private keys)?

I don't know why anyone even thinks of keeping such a large amount in a wallet that is (at least to me) completely unknown and, as we can see, completely unreliable Roll Eyes

It is possible that the wallet shows a balance that does not actually exist - it is one of the tricks to deceive the victim that the coins are still there, and it is possible that they have been "moved" a long time ago.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved in Hong Kong on: April 15, 2024, 12:51:29 PM
This will probably be good for the price of BTC if the interest in this kind of investing in BTC is approximately the same as in the US - although it is possible that this ETF will be as successful as some others in other parts of the world where investors have not shown much interest in such a way of investing.

What is bad is that China is somehow getting back into the game, and considering its attitudes towards everything that is decentralized, the only question is when it will start attacking Bitcoin again. No matter how you turn it, Bitcoin and communism cannot co-exist together, so in the long term I see only problems in these decisions, of course only if these ETFs are successful in attracting investors.
210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The dangers of AI to us as they can be use for crypto stealing malwares on: April 15, 2024, 10:29:17 AM
Good for you, but you can't deny the fact that AI is the new revolution, every technology that we have seen throughout mankind's history has it's cons and pros, even the most widely used internet. And most likely AI is not for everyone.

I'm not questioning the fact that AI has its application in human society, I'm just expressing my opinion about how inappropriate use and abuse can (and probably will) have extremely bad consequences for people. Even those who started the whole thing at one point expressed their concern regarding the mass abuses that have appeared in the online world thanks to the new technology.

If you consider the majority of sci-fi content that has to do with AI, in most cases this very technology has disastrous effects on the human race. Regardless of what anyone thinks, I am of the opinion that the chances that this technology will turn against us at some point is at least 80%, but it is obvious that people have some kind of self-destruction gene that encourages them to dig a hole in which sooner or later they will fall into.

Nevertheless, this detector is on the list of recommended detectors in this topic. According to my observations more less adequate detector is contentatscale (not advertising).

I don't know why it is on the list (still), because @nutildah surely knows that this detector gives false positive results in most cases. Considering that this detector is the last one on the list, how did you come up with the idea of checking posts with it?

Basically, look at the post from @Odohu, which is just one more in a series of confirmations that only small changes can show completely different results.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: April 10 CPI Print came in hot on: April 14, 2024, 02:37:09 PM
~snip~
Car insurance, rent, and restaurant food were killers according to an article on Yahoo Finance.  Since I am a simple hermit, I have not been hammered as hard by inflation as some people but I've definitely seen the price of food rise to astronomical levels.

It's the same in Europe, although again it depends on each country individually - but food has become more expensive and, at least in my case, it's still rising slightly. Considering that I like to keep receipts from stores, I compared my shopping cart in such a way that I took old receipts from stores and went to buy the same products as before, and I found that I paid from 30% to even 55% more compared to the time before inflation started to run rampant.

However, I have to admit that the transition to EUR has a big part in all of this, considering that we changed our national currency a little more than 1 year ago - which resulted in incredible robbery by traders who raised prices hiding them behind the new currency.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock ETF/Bitcoin will destroy the (new) cryptocurrency industry soon... on: April 14, 2024, 11:02:38 AM
There can only be one conclusion:
Cryptocoins sold to finance break out of war/fight Israel vs Iran.

What kind of war are you talking about? The drone strikes that these two countries have been playing for years are not a war at all, but just maintaining tensions for some completely different purposes. In addition, Israel cannot fight against a group of people who have not had an army for months, and you expect it to fight with a country that has an organized army?

The fact that some have a very poor understanding of geopolitics and the real forces that can be faced on the ground is unfortunately the true picture of the world. I can only say that weak hands are always welcome, cheap coins will pass into the right hands.

Monday price of gold will skyrocket futher.

Is that your personal opinion or are you following some gold bug like Peter Schiff?
214  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] [banned mixer] Signature Campaign | Up to $120/W on: April 14, 2024, 10:40:19 AM
I'll just say that nothing surprises me when it comes to the obvious malice and envy that some forum members have shown publicly (and probably privately) for years when it comes to mixers. I well remember how they "protested" because the participants in the CM campaign had excessive pay rates, up to how they "celebrated" when it was banned - and I have no doubt that some forum members had their share in this with the reports they sent to everyone they could.

And no, I'm not writing any of this for money (I didn't spend a single satoshi from this campaign), but it's unfortunate that some members of the forum are fighting so fiercely against privacy, and it's been proven that mixers were mostly used for this very purpose, and only a small part related to transactions that are disputed.

It's sad to see that the people who should understand such things best are actually working in favor of a system that has been fighting against Bitcoin since its inception.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock ETF/Bitcoin will destroy the (new) cryptocurrency industry soon... on: April 13, 2024, 09:54:12 AM
Well, it took a bit longer than expected, but today 12 to 13 april 2024 the cryptocoin market took a massive hit, many coins 33% down over the last week.
I've been watching this market for at least 8 months now, I've not seen such a big drop in last 8 months.

I don't know which shitcoins you're talking about when you mention the 33% drop (actually it doesn't even matter), but what's happening now has happened at least 3-4 times since the spot BTC ETF (US) was approved. Bitcoin is down about 5% in the last 24 hours, less than 1% in the last 7 days.

The strange thing is bitcoin halving 7 days from now.

Is it written somewhere that the price of shitcoins should explode due to Bitcoin halving? The halving never had an instant effect on the price of BTC, so it is completely irrelevant whether it will happen in 7 or 77 days.

As if it matters why the correction happened, I already wrote to you that this is nothing important that has not already happened several times this year. Maybe the Chinese are to blame and their spot BTC ETF, which could be approved as early as next week (Hong Kong)?

I was exactly using one of the sapling.ai services you listed. I surprise how he showed you that the text was written by a human being. To me, he showed me exactly what is depicted in the picture. I just checked, the result is the same. Here's the link https://sapling.ai/ai-content-detector/6fc838e1ded0328166a01e86611debff (expires after 3 Days).

It is definitely one of the worst AI detectors that I personally had a bad experience with because I accused someone of using AI based on the results of the same. I don't know why it didn't show me the same result yesterday, but that's just another proof that the same detector should not be used.

Here's the link https://sapling.ai/ai I guess the detection algorithm is quite bad. Just to check, I tried it on my own post that I made in this thread. At least it provided a good result in my case. My post is 0.1% fake, meaning 99.9% isn't AI generated.
Lucius is probably a hybrid. Part human, part robot. His most recent post is about 6% AI-generated. Grin The human part of him wrote most of it. Can't help but laugh at that.

@Lucius I think it's the long sentences that make the algorithm classify your post as AI-written. Try to shorten them in meaningful short sentences. You don't have to post them again. Just play around with it if you are interested to see the results.

Perhaps the mission of that detector is to convince us all that our thinking is somewhat already managed by AI - but that does not mean that I will change my habits to avoid his bad detection Wink
217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The dangers of AI to us as they can be use for crypto stealing malwares on: April 13, 2024, 08:50:43 AM
Personally, I'm not fascinated by nor have I ever used any AI tool and I'm glad to be completely out of it.
Same here , i only know that there are some AI / KI Tools but never used one and dont want to use them.
It takes away the humanity sense in the written post
.

Personally, I have nothing against someone using such tools for entertainment or educational purposes, such as some forum members using AI to create fun pictures and post them on the forum - but when we communicate with words, they should be a unique product of our mind, not artificial generated garbage.
218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: April 12, 2024, 03:11:13 PM
I think the title of this topic is a bit clumsily worded, because there should be no doubt that cryptocurrency trading belongs to everyone, and that owning Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency is not limited to only some people. The real question should be "whether all people can/know how to trade?" because statistics say that only about 5% are successful in it, while the rest either lose everything they invested, or end up at positive zero.

My conclusion would be that for the majority it is still more profitable to practice the hold strategy, although everyone can try trading and see how they manage. I cannot say what would have happened if someone had invested $1000 in trading at the beginning of 2017 when 1 BTC was worth exactly that much - but I can say that in the event that he bought 1 BTC and kept it until today, he would have about 70 thousand reasons to be more satisfied than then.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Richest Crypto And Bitcoin Billionaires In The World 2024 on: April 12, 2024, 02:16:41 PM
Isn't Satoshi the richest? he own 1 Million coins which worth $73 Billion right now.
~snip~

Satoshi supposedly mined that much (although it's just speculation), but unlike everyone else who might be on that list, he didn't do it to get rich, but because he was the one who had to start the whole thing. Therefore, I wouldn't associate it with potential wealth at all, and that's exactly what makes it as unique as Bitcoin itself.
220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The dangers of AI to us as they can be use for crypto stealing malwares on: April 12, 2024, 10:32:28 AM
I'm sure majority of us are into AI, at least for me I have been trying to learn a lot of tools, like Mid Journey, Capcut, In-video,  Leonardo AI, Elevenlabs, Runway and others. So when I say this reports, I was taken aback as how cyber criminals is also leveraging AI tools now to steal our crypto credentiasl as most of them are info stealer.
---
I know others will say that we should go and look for the official page and check everything before downloading. But with the recent AI resurgence, including myself joining the picture and taking advantage of it for whatever purpose it may served to me, still there are dangers lurking in the dark specially for us crypto enthusiast and those trying to learn AI.

Personally, I'm not fascinated by nor have I ever used any AI tool and I'm glad to be completely out of it. I understand that people have the need to use such tools in order to be more efficient and save time, but most technology has its negative sides and all those who support all these AI innovations must face the fact that sooner or later a lot of negative things will surface, which this technology produced.

Scammers just use what is available to them, but I don't see how someone can scam me with the help of AI if they couldn't do it in a "stupid way", so to speak.
