201  Economy / Speculation / Re: sub 1000 gone forever on: July 07, 2017, 01:59:24 PM
buyers will come in at 1100-1200 on next dip.  you will never again get the chance to buy a bitcoin for under 1k.

Yeah definitely. I'm waiting for the dump right now and going to buy as much as I can. Although this does resemble a bubble at this stage of the pump i've still got 20-30% of my crypto holdings in bitcoin because i really don't want to miss out on the next pump if there happened to be another one.

I do think that 1,000 is something that we can all agree on being the absolute floor right now. Doubt that it'll drop under 1000 for a long time, probably not in 1 year at least. And if nothing bad happens to bitcoin it'll probably be never broken.

Sub 2k btc is likely history at this stage
This time next year you won't be able to buy 1 btc for $10k... Wink
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: "The price of your bitcoin is 1000 times overvalued" on: July 07, 2017, 01:57:04 PM
how much does a bitcoin worth?
Some say:“Worthless. It’s just a Ponzi scheme.”
Some hail:“Priceless! It’s the future of money.”
A Chinese economist Ou Chengxiao,  often nicknamed”Ou Guru” said yesterday "The price of bitcoin is 1000 times overvalued". He believed that the value of currency is decided by its scale of circulation, or adoption. But now the lack of businesses that accept the digital currency as payment has been holding bitcoin back from wider adoption. not so many people are buying things with btc.
i am a little confused why he is so sure bitcoin price is 1000 times overvalued. why not 100? 10? why exactly 1000? Do you agree with him?

More nonsense FUD
These old people are simply unqualified to make statements about new developments in CryptoCurrencys
I guess he doesn't know how to use the internet and check the insane adoption rates around the world....
Legal currency status  in Japan, India and Russia coming soon etc
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: July 07, 2017, 01:34:36 PM
Thanks, seems like they already have ten times their most optimistic targets!

Have they made any comment about their plans for the funds given such success?  I'm tempted to invest, but not if it's just going to add to a pile of hundreds of millions that they don't have a plan for (that sounds like trouble waiting to happen)

Bigger and more yachts/lambos is my best guess. Don't hold your breath for any sort of comment on anything, they are too busy popping the champagne bottles.  Grin
Holy shit guys, why would you give so many millions to nothing but a shit website? there is literally nothing here worth $10m much less $300m.

What is the total funds collected at this stage?
204  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN Flippening GOLD on: July 07, 2017, 01:21:01 PM
That won't happen until 1BTC equals 1kg or at least one pound of Gold. One Oz is not that much money after all (2500$ is a month's wage in the Western Hemisphere).
1 bitcoin = 1 kg worth of gold will never to be real, It means the bitcoin must be worthed over ten thousand dollars.

OP, Bitcoin is not flipping the gold. My thought if the bitcoin is different with the gold itself. The value of the gold depends on the how many weight of the gold itself. And bitcoin is not.

I would be willing to bet on that, its just a matter of time imo
Gold is not useful money in the digital age

206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: July 07, 2017, 12:58:24 PM
There are another airdrop with btc link like byteball (GBYTE), stellars lumen (XLM), clam (CLAM) or bitcore (BTX) ?

There are actually loads of airdrops all the time but people usually miss them
http://airdropalert.com (this is probably  not even all of them)
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcore - BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - CORE 0.14.1 - 42000+ BTX Claimed on: July 07, 2017, 08:56:17 AM
You can put btx on pape wallets generated by bitaddress.org. I've done that and uninstalled the wallet as it wasn't working.

Thanks so much for that.

So if I print off the page that site generates, then send my BTX to the Bitcoin SHARE address (I guess since the underlying tech is the same it works for Bitcore too?) I can at anytime access the wallet by using the SECRET private key that was generated?

Will my BTX be eligible for (and receive) future airdops if they are parked in the paper wallet?

yes
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: July 07, 2017, 08:54:08 AM
Does anyone know how many more of these sweet airdrops of byteball are going to happen?

probably at least 4+ but it depends on the rate of adoption
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell Bitcoin ahead of 1st Aug Hard Fork on: July 07, 2017, 05:57:51 AM
Only an idiot would sell now, the price is likely to double as soon as we get segwit2x...
Right only those sell bitcoin now who has not know the power of bitcoin, who idoit they sell their bitcoin now because they have no knowledge and no more expert in bitcoin techniques that is they sell before the August. You are right that after the segwit its price will be more increase to it's double.
Haha, because you not see in history you can say that, after have news about hard folk and when near deathline, the price of Bitcoin "usually" fall down and panic seller will happening. Although, I love and still using Bitcoin, but keep safe my money important than invest have more risk Smiley

the worst thing i ever bought with BTC was USD ........
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: July 07, 2017, 05:55:44 AM
My only concern with Byteball is what happens after the last distribution round? I think the frequent high airdrops are the main incentive to hold this coin and have encouraged a lot of Whales to hold in the interim.  It seems a massive selloff after the last round is unavoidable and I wonder where the project/price will go from there.

thats what i thought at the start but after using byteball and seeing how good it is (better than bitcoin ,ethereum and monero combined)
im not worried about that at all

its only a matter of time before its listed at exchanges larger than bittrex and the price will reach bitcoin parity and keep going

ive been buying coins since 2011 and byteball is the most impressive and easy solution to use ive seen yet

also the unit of accounting will be changed from gbyte to mbyte and this will make it appear cheaper to the masses

only an idiot would sell his free gbytes imo and thankfully there are plenty of those so i can buy MOAR !
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block size isn't important on: July 07, 2017, 05:21:28 AM
You are correct. While doubling the blocksize, or even quadrupling it for that matter may help in the short run, down the road it will not make a lick of a difference. It is a very temporary solution to a long-term problem. This is why we need to seriously explore the other options rather than put a bandaid on this open wound. Let's just solve it once and for all, so we no longer need to have these discussions.

It looks bad on the community and Bitcoin as a whole when we become divided like this. We must unite, rather than what we are doing now.

a dynamic blocksize will be fine ,the arguments against solutions like BU are nonsense
no miner will ever attempt to mine a block thats too big for the network to handle

but segwit2x comes with a series of progressional  hardforks to get to a 16MB blocksize by summer 2019

i personally rather a solution that doesnt have segwit but if 90% of the miners and businesses want segwit2x
then we have to go along for the ride

where can we buy this coin ?
213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell Bitcoin ahead of 1st Aug Hard Fork on: July 07, 2017, 04:23:31 AM
There is no guarantee of any price dropping, unbelievable FUD

If you don't buy your btc BEFORE August 1st you won't have a coin on both chains....

If you sell now your just feeding hungry whales who are likely paying trolls to create this FUD

Even the major banks and hedgefunds have been buying in over the last few months because they know the money will pile in when we have a solution that can scale and that's coming soon, one way or another lol Wink
214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else think "long term" hodlers are idiots? on: July 07, 2017, 04:17:01 AM
I don't know many successful CryptoCurrency traders... Most, even the smart ones don't know when to quit while they're ahead and go on to lose it all...

On the other hand, I know plenty of people who are successful hodlers, bought btc at whatever price and stored it securely  over years etc

It just grows and grows and grows....

I put some change money on a few shitcoins with good fundamentals  like xmr, ltc and etc and they're all worth hundreds of % more than I paid years ago...

It DOES pay to hodl, don't listen to the bullshit

so, the funny address splitting party will continue I guess. At least a few whales can throw the bag to each other then when the dumping begins Cheesy

The whales actually have more incentive than anyone else to make the coin valuable

216  Economy / Speculation / Re: price after segwit? on: July 07, 2017, 02:17:56 AM
After segwit, I predict a short term drop in terms of price because some people may not like it being implemented so maybe they will dump their bitcoin stash. Later on it will go up again and the effect of the price drop if it were to happen will only last for few days or weeks. Considering some more users might enter bitcoin again if transactions get fast again, I expect that we would test 3000 $ price again.
The percentage of people who may get panic/dislikes will be in very insignificant numbers hence we cannot expect any dump as solving scalablity issue even for time being may boost bitcoin prices into new level like  $5000 price levels hopefully.

I am expecting $5000 in August and $10k in December, after scalabilty issues I am not seeing any big hurdles bitcoin may face hence we can expect prices start flying again.

easily the price can and will double ,i think some of the eth money will come back into bitcoin if a scaling solution is presented and increased growth from institutional investors who have been staying on the sidelines to see what happens ..........
There will be a decline in bitcoin prices after segwit2x but only for a moment and then there is a rocket that has been prepared to go to the moon. I'm sure $4000 will be achieved or even maybe it could exceed that value, nobody knows for sure but I'm sure about it will come true.
I wouldn't bank on their being any dip at all, it could be already priced in and don't forget that if bitcoin splits into two chains, you need to have bought it before 1st August to own them both

This is added incentive for people to buy before so they can benefit from the big blocks chain and Luke's 1mb chain if it doesn't die immediately  Cheesy

218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: July 07, 2017, 02:01:53 AM
how do you do cold storage for byteball?

i suppose i could just run the byteball software on an air-gapped offline machine to generate keys?

Yes, that's  the easiest solution so far if you don't want your gbytes to touch the internet
Paper wallet is coming soon tho
