1201  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: March 09, 2015, 07:10:48 PM
What people aren't realizing is that if you do become a Millionaire in Bitcoin, the second you cash out you will have to pay a 40% capital gains tax, which will leave you with only $600k. Socialism FTW!

anyone who ends up with over a million  or several million $ worth of btc could easily fly to switzerland or the emirates or  china  etc or wherever there is no or very little tax to be paid

trying to bring the cash back home would be stupid though so i would probably live in an alternative country than give up half my money for tax ..........
1202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BurtW arrested on: March 08, 2015, 05:21:56 PM
what matters most is how the custodians of his life view him, their belief will determine in large part their actions.

I took the liberty of bolding "the custodians of his life" in your quote above. It is such a curious turn of phrase. What exactly do you mean by this? Who are the custodian's of any person's life?

the people with the keys to his jail cell ,or the people who decide whether he ever sees daylight again ............those people kinda rule us all whether you like it or not
1203  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: March 08, 2015, 04:51:03 PM
you need atleast 1 million BTC to become millionaire by 2020

According to some people research Bitcoin price will reach high by the end of the year 2020.
some people think
Having 10 bitcoins, means you are waiting for a 100 000 dollar value which I dont think it will happen any time soon.

absurd ,nobody will need a million btc to be rich by 2020
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: March 08, 2015, 04:42:29 PM
OP sounds like a baby crying .. all of us wish we had gotten into the game in 2009!

think about how many times you probably would have gotten goxxed if you had thousands of coins from 2009 until now

many early whales got fleeced in various scams and had nothing or a small fraction by the time btc went to the moon ($1200)
1205  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: March 08, 2015, 03:56:54 PM
100 btc is the best target, given a probably value of 10k per coin, you will be rich for sure

surely the best proportion, between the amount and the future price

i would prefer 1000 btc ,just to be on the safe side Cheesy
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: March 08, 2015, 03:55:29 PM
seems doubtful he has been arrested. maybe just wishful thinking from the victims.

Exactly which is why I'm asking ferdous to give proof he's been arrested...

If he can not give proof he's arrested I won't believe he's been arrested nor should anyone else...

Ferdous has been dodging the question of proof for a long time now
He got his knickers in a twist a few pages back when i asked him about it

kinda convenient how he can come out of this "smelling of roses" for returning a few worthless shitcoins when all the coins that had any real value are still "lost".........millions of $ worth..(whistles)
1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: March 05, 2015, 12:44:31 AM
Don't spend your time regretting and spend it finding the next best thing, a lot of people don't think the early investor ship has sailed for Bitcoin yet!

We are still the early adopters of cryptocurrency. So there is no need to regret.
Early adopters era is long time gone. I guess early adopters were people who buy/earn/mine  bitcoin under the price of $100.

will you still be saying this when a btc reaches 10k ,50k or 100k ?

you need to step back and look at the bigger picture ,in a couple of  years nobodys
going to care whether you bought at $150 or $200 etc when the coin is worth $10,000
or maybe even more

just as we look at guys now who bought loads in 2010  for under a  penny   each or $0.02c  or $0.05c ,someday new users will look back on these times and be unable to imagine buying whole  bitcoins for only $200 etc Cheesy

1208  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: March 04, 2015, 08:41:18 PM
I think 100 BTC could very well be enough to be a millionaire by that time. Maybe you should try to ride the bigger waves (don't lose everything day-trading on leverage!) but 2020 seems to be a possible timeframe.

For the OP, holding would be the best strategy.
No point in being greedy and losing money by trying to predict short term trends.

But the point is Where to hold these coin? In bter.com or Mt.Gox who scammed people. And they never returened  the btc to them.
Yes holdibg is good. But holding at some places is wrong

hold your own damn coins ,dont ever  leave them in a place like gox

to the op,if you have your heart set on a million by 2020 i would acquire another 50- 100 btc at the current 2xx prices

1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: March 04, 2015, 03:29:29 PM
Bitcoin is still not that expensive.. You can still buy if you want .. ~ $250 bitstamp. Don't regret even more later.

That just went up!
Time to get more depressed to not buy at 250$ Sad

That is super expensive to someone that could have brought in for dollars or less :/ The best a lot of investors are going to get is their money back as it owes the 6-700+ then another group will get double their money and maybe 4 x their investment but if you got in earlier you could have had 100's of x

guys this is still early days and im speaking as someone who bought loads of coins in the early days from 2-6usd and made a killing

ive seen the massive swings and falls first hand and im still willing to collect more coins in 2xx range because i believe that isnt going to be possible in the near future with all the new startups coming online

if you didnt profit from the first gravy train ,please dont make that mistake twice

@stereotype

Lose the accusatory nature of your inquiries, read up on my posts, then ask legitimate questions. I will be happy to answer them. So far, you haven't asked anything that I haven't already addressed (except the one about verification of transactions).

Also, I'm lot more active on twitter than bitcointalk, where I have never been "silent" about Moolah/MintPal etc.

Just return the coins already and stop wasting our time with your babbling excuses ffs
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: March 03, 2015, 11:45:30 AM
Hey guys, Ferdous is for real. My XMR, around a BTC's worth, are in my wallet.

Much appreciate bro,
IAS

steal the entire fucking bakery and return a few worthless crumbs to avoid the real heat  ............sounds about right ........
1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: March 01, 2015, 09:26:23 PM
If anyone should have become an overnight millionaire it should have been me. I've been involved in virtual economies for many years now (mmorpg gold exchanges) and if anyone should have had the foresight to become an early adopter of bitcoin it should have been me but instead I was wasting my time fucking around with virtual gold. I wake up every morning feeling depressed.

It's not about size, but how you use it. Or so my wife says...  Embarrassed

shes just saying that to keep you happy , scientific testing  has proved otherwise , in a recent study women were shown computer generated imagines of men with varying size of equipment and nearly all the women chose the guy with the big cock lol

scientists  think this maybe why humans have  evolved with relatively large penises compared with other primates etc

1214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald’s might start accepting Bitcoin soon on: March 01, 2015, 09:05:58 PM
But it won't be available in my country. McDonald does not even do home delivery when my house is just 15 minutes from the outlet. I want Dominos to start accepting bitcoin as it will be more useful.

I don't think they do home delivery anywhere bro.  Not that I know of anyway.

in thailand every mcdonalds delivers

freephone 1711 or order online http://mcdelivery.mcthai.co.th/menu.php?category=1

im sure they do it in other countries but i try to avoid eating that shit if possible Smiley
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: March 01, 2015, 08:58:58 PM
CoinCidental, I was hinting at the absurdity of your post. I hoped that you'd get the hint. Nothing you wrote in that post makes any sense. For example, I never "sold" MintPal; rather, bought it. It's clear from your post that you don't even have the basic idea of what happened at MintPal. You're either having an emotional fit here over unresolved issues, or you're Mr. Ryan Kennedy himself.

I don't appreciate you coming here trying to discourage our efforts. Why not try and find something productive with your time instead?

I dont care what you appreciate , you are partly or fully responsible for the theft of several  million usd worth of crypto
youself ,ryan and landon should all be in court to answer to depositors that lost everything and work out a repayment plan

if it wasnt for your negligence ,purposely or not ,ryan could never have had any access to the coins so you have proved yourself untrustworthy or dishonest  and returning a few monero doesnt account for the huge theft of everything else

FWIW this is a lot more  productive than the smoke and mirrors you are posting  ,its stating the facts ,although you clearly dont want to hear them and would prefer it was all swept under the rug .....................its not going to happen

do you really think anyone believes youre having secret meetings that cannot be discussed  with the UK "agencies" or any of your bullshit stories ??

if anyone has been arrested for this please show us the link because when you steal that amount it ALWAYS makes the UK news .........even when  the case is ongoing  it will still make the news ,for  example " a man in his 20's has been arrested for the theft of btc in excess of $5 million  etc ,he cannot be named at this stage as the investigation is still underway ......or something of that nature

sometimes the truth hurts ,doesnt it ?

1216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopoulos said Give Bitcoin Two Years on: March 01, 2015, 08:37:15 PM
I think that two years is a little bold. It will take more years than that for mass adoption. It still has to break free from all the negativity from the early years. Then people have to trust it more than gold and cold hard cash and that won't be easy to come by, at least not straight away. I feel even 5-7 years may be needed. Regardless, we are still early adopters.

in all likelyhood he knows more than most of us about the businesses and services and new startups that will be launched inside the next 2 yrs so his predictions maybe more accurate than people think

i thought i knew a fair bit about btc a few years back until i watched a long  video  podcast and A.A was talking about things i didnt know existed back then that are common knowledge now , blockchain voting and multisig security and smart contracts  and many others were among the things i knew nothing about

he may be privvy to info about developments  that havent  been released yet too ,these are exciting times  gentlemen Smiley
1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.10.0 has been released on: March 01, 2015, 08:19:06 PM
Yeah, sometimes it seems like the bitcoin-core developers are focussed on developing bitcoin-core.

Do you not understand that having a functional client is absolutely essential, and that without it the network just doesn't work? We can't all use SPV clients - what would they connect to?

I think where you're going wrong is in thinking that "we" have or are looking for "investors".

Anyway, if there is no demand for bitcoin why is it trading at over $200 per unit?

I think where you are going wrong is thinking the development team of a coin is responsible solely on the core and the wallet, there is more to a coin than just that!

Do you understand the meaning if it aint broke dont fix it, if you have to fix it make sure it works!! ? You had 100 people working on an update and you still have some transaction times between 30 to 120 minutes, (with or without a fee added)so what have they really done? I noticed no change on my end as a user, as a coder I see a lot, but at the end of the rope, users care none about the programming they care about how fast their transactions get processed, if they have to wait 2 hours adaptation and adoption becomes a hard goal to achieve!!!

Bitcoin  needed investors from day one without them bitcoin  would be NOWHERE, investors bought the coins and helped to jump start the block chain, they bought mining hardware and helped secure the chain, without them "you" would have nothing, no transactions to process, no blockchain, and you sill need them, more now than before actually with a difficulty of over 40 billion. So, dont kick the gift horse in the mouth now because you feel you milked that tit dry and dont need it anymore. Because, in todays crytpo industry, attitude like that will bury your precious bitcoin and it will be replaced by a coin with a development team who cares about all the aspects of developing a coin, especially the people who pay the bills (investors)

I can see you are completely uneducated on trading and how it works, let me help you. The only thing bitcoin has is its tradable value, thats why it trades at over 200 bucks a coin ( the investors is why) in all actuality there is no demand for it at all.

Example: When china needs a product from japan they have a demand for the Japanese Yen, thus they buy it, then the value increases.

With bitcoin there is nothing that makes people have a need or a want to buy it "EXCEPT" the fact they can buy a few and sell a few and maybe make a profit doing it. (ITS TRADABLE MARKET) this si not a demand this is a hobby. A demand would be providing a service or a product you can only buy with bitcoins, something we need but you can not buy with cash.
[/b][/i]

there is many things now to buy with bitcoin ,without even counting drugs or porn or gambling which is a legal grey area depending where you live but probably still popular even places its banned   ,people have already  purchased property and vehicles with btc and trips into space with virgin airlines etc and its early days still as btc is in its infancy

then youve got overstock and newegg and microsoft and dell and thousands of smaller  places selling all sorts of things around the world ...........for me the biggest financial liberty is being able to bring my btc  on holiday and use it to get local currency without being raped by the banks or greedy money changers with unfavourable rates....

its also incredibly useful for sending people large amounts with $0.04  fee to the other side of the world regardless of amount  ,migrant workers would be a good representation of this as people who work in "rich" countries often need to send some money back to relatives  and bank transfers are expensive and slow ,western union is a bit faster but its still relatively expensive to use and will eventually go extinct like a  dinosuar when more people learn about saving maybe 5-15 %..........

i dont know how anyone can say  bitcoin is only a hobby for a few people trading coins ..... ?? Shocked

the possibilities are virtually  limitless on what we can do with digital money ,people will look back on this thread in a few years and be blown away in the same fashion we look back in awe at at the 2010 -2012 discussions and the 10k pizza etc

we are witnessing history in the making gentlemen .............Smiley
1218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald’s might start accepting Bitcoin soon on: March 01, 2015, 07:38:41 PM
It would be great for better addoption but i dont think McDonalds will do that anytime soon. Bitcoin must first grow and become more stable price wise before you pay your junk food with it.

price volatility doesnt matter anymore when there are services like bitpay to get the $ rate instantly that merchants could use

the car dealer who sold the lamborghini to goat did it this way IIRC but btc was around $1100+ then so that was a great time to buy a lamborghini for btc lol Smiley

even if hes already sold it he will make an easy couple of  hundred k profit ........

pin the tail of blame  on the ryan whoever ..............you had no gain  from selling him the keys to the "mintpal  vault" and robbing everything worth taking

now you say you didnt profit from the sale of mintpal but actually lost money  ??

come off it ,who do you think youre talking to ?

there might be a lot of idiots on this forum but a  child wouldnt believe the shit youre spouting

were supposed to believe  ,you  took a profitable business and sold it to  a notorious  scammer  for an undisclosed sum who immediately robbed  the customers of millions of  dollars worth of crypto  and were supposed to believe in your own words  you "lost a lot of  money" ..................................even though the sale  was already done and moolah was operating mintpal (your own words) so you would have been up the sale money at the very least even if you got no share of the pilfered coins which is hard to believe ........

theres more holes in your story than a fucking teabag ......

return a few xmr and retire happy on some beach with karpeles  ,it seems like another typically successful exchange scam that will go unpunished  so congratulations lol
lol this is pretty funny stuff.

funny for you and ryan maybe .........
i doubt its as funny for the people that lost their entire savings to you two scumbags
through a combination of negligance or dishonesty or a healthy dose of both .........

at least ryan and landon have the deceny to hide ,you are a snake pretending to be a victim
like everyone else when you are responsible for this entire mess ......like i said ,congrats Smiley
1220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: March 01, 2015, 06:22:13 PM
^ I don't actually have the time, energy, interest or mental capacity for weird agendas like this. I live a public life, and don't hide behind pseudo identities on the internet. My entire life is documented.

No, I didn't make "millions" from this whole fiasco, rather I lost a lot of money, which is pretty clear if you read my account (or those of others involved in this case) of what happened.

As for the missing funds from MintPal, we provided conclusive evidence of the funds being moved from MintPal cold storage wallet to a wallet in Ryan's control and sold off to localbitcoin from there by Ryan himself.

We have all the pieces of the puzzle.

Now we're just waiting for the law enforcement to do their job. So far, they've done rather well.

We are doing our best to mitigate damages and work on recovering any missing funds. Not sure what else you expect me to do. Bang my head against the wall? Because I have done that too.

Regards,
Ferdous
