2001  Other / Off-topic / Re: Oscar Pistorius case on: May 11, 2014, 06:38:52 PM
You would think he wouldn't have to sell his house to pay for legal fees considering he made a lot of money but he probably doesn't want to keep the house anymore

The OJ Simpson Lawyer's Verdict On Pistorius :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1DfpuTHGYg

That is a very interesting comparison. The Pistorius case is basically the OJ Simpson case of the 21st century. In my opinion though OJ was much more obviously guilty than Pistorius, and it seems like the general consensus is that he DID get away with premeditated murder. The lawyer himself is a very smart guy, but I think he knew OJ was guilty. I didn't watch the entire video, but he doesn't really say whether he thinks OP is guilty though; he just seems to talk about all the circumstances and factors that will play out and affect the case.

I don't think it's entirely the same situation though.

OJ is so eloquent and know his case so well :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJtqYyhxhJA

When is the verdict for Pistorius?
2002  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - NEW RATES - RitzGrandCasino.com ★★★ on: May 11, 2014, 10:35:05 AM
PD lost lots of advertising and they wont get new members at the same rate as others meaning more exposure for the other campaigns.

PD is still having new members enrolling, PD3 will be out soon and members advertising PD will earn ref revenue

It has only a very small few sign up nowadays. Most go to Ritz or another deal that pays a set amount for 50 posts. It's logical really as why would people go for the lesser paying option? And PD3 is taking a long time and ref links may never even come or be allowed if your on the sig campaign as well.

He talked about allowing the ref links in the signature when he said ref links will be implement in PD3

PD is only paying a tiny fraction less than RGC

Bumpin up against that $460,-.

Once we break it, we can post train and moon pics.

I can feel all the fiat on the exchanges waiting to buy, it may arrive when we don't except it anymore

Bitstamp is like... 'lol what should we do about all this fiat? I guess post some vague tweets about bitcoin going to the moon'

Yes, I'm not on Bitstamp but on Kraken, but I can see my few fiat waiting on the ground !

The sentiment is very bad on Bitcoin but the same people that tell you they think it is going down are keeping ton of cash on the exchanges; that makes me very bullish

Green big bet pool round 47 bet 2.5BTC for the Crazy Hour grand prize attempt - and WON! Also, it hit x1.

During my logging, I overlooked a 0.001BTC bet by address 1HCTd - don't worry, you got a share out of my pocket!

(edit - I realized that send was supposed to be a fee donation. Oh well.)

Payout tx 5851ea8ee95effcd96b0be491a119aceae6f7419582a87920726b122f4560370

Congratulations to everyone who participated, it was a riot!
I got my fair share for a x1.4 profit. Thanks! Will leave positive trust.

How much did you bet? There was a few big bets
Not much, really. I am not really a gambler and only did this because the profit was pretty much guaranteed. I bet 8mBTC.

There was a positive expectation if not too many players bet 2.5BTC
You can't repeat the bet though, it is a one time thing

90 coins wtf?Huh

Most members that had coins when they were sub 20$ spent/lost/misplaced a lot of coins

When referring to an old post in the thread you can quote it, it's not obvious you are referring to it even if it is the first post in the thread :
Quote
Summer 2012. Diablo 3. I bought in game gold with bitcoin @ $3/btc - Spent 90 coins for 500 million in game gold.

IGG = 35 cents / million now.

I will legitimately do just about anything you could possibly need me to do for 1BTC.  The only skill I have is welding so obviously that doesn't really help me out here but I'm sure one of you will think of something. I've got plenty of time on my hands: if my galaxy s4 is capable of it and you're willing to pay me, consider whatever it may be done. I will also consider taking a lower amount depending on what it is.

Use your phone to post on this forum each and every day, build up to a good activity rank and sell your signature and/or other services here Smiley
Could you elaborate on that a little more?

You can join a signature ad program such as Primedice (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291387.0), and get some bitcoin each month.
Most of these programs require you to be member (60 activity).

So he cannot join a signature ad program such as PD at the moment!

His best shot is to earn fiat and buy btc with it if what he wants is btc but i think what he wants is stuff and he wants the btc to get the fiat to buy the stuff
2013  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: May 10, 2014, 11:05:09 PM
Hi Mem, thanks for dropping by and leaving your honest thoughts.

collusion is something that ST6 & I have discussed at great length.  ST6 has coded many hours of collusion detection scripts and other aggregation techniques to identify and refund collusion.

anonymous bitcoin online poker will certainly have a continuous stream of unscrupulous players trying to cheat.  This is not something that should be thought of as "a few bad players" but more as a small % of total humans.  It is a sad fact but one that must be faced head on - there will always be a steady stream of those that will try and collude.

ST6 has been building while we play.  There has been a 1+ year focus on security and general site hardening.  Collusion has been one of the areas given much, much attention.

as Mem & nioc hinted at, there is no way we can say "here are the tools and exact methodology we use to catch cheaters"  - there is no way would say "here are the attack vectors we are actively scanning, now go try and beat us at it!"    From a security standpoint, I think it's easy to understand why you simply have to believe us when we say "We actively monitor and police our games"

I guess you guys have good points about revealing your proof might be tantamount to opening yourself up to further abuse.  However, I really thought mem's point was solid:

* if you have suspicions you should refuse future service (but not confiscate winnings)
* if you have proof you should do both (refuse future service and confiscate winnings)

In this case, simply saying "you had multiple players on your table from the same ip" could probably be considered proof and wouldn't blow your detection techniques.  Then again, there's probably something more subtle here that I'm missing.

To put it in similar terms to how Mem said it,

* if SwC has reason to suspect collusion we refuse future service until investigation is complete (account closed pending research about the issue)
* if SwC has proof we confiscate and refund to affected players.

2014  Other / Politics & Society / Re: you get Richer as the Older You’ll Get on: May 10, 2014, 11:03:25 PM
It should be easier to get rich when you are young and poor because you are smarter, healthier, stronger, you are ready to work harder for less money and you are more likely to innovate but rules, laws and the state protect those you have at the detriment of those you haven't so the rich get richer and the poor have a harder time to become rich than they would have in a free society

Bulls, believers, traders that think it will go up push the price up

I'm guessing with the Sunlot plan, the clients have a small chance to get back their entire account. At least in a long time.
That is just spin.  They propose to give back (say) 10% of the assets and force clients to invest the other 10% into MtGOX2.0, and will count their share of whatever profit that MtGOX2.0 may make as the payment of the other 90%.  Why is that better than giving clients the full 20%, so that they can invest those same 10% into Apple stock instead?  The clients will surely recover their 90% back much faster this way.

Instead of getting 20% back they might get 10% back and they would get the equivalent of 15% worth of shares of the new company : the reasoning is that there is some added value with mtgox 2.0 and that the traders will have an incentive to do business with the new entity so the new entity will have some profits that will pay back the old clients

But you are right that most clients would chose to get 20% and do whatever they want with it instead of getting 10% back and shares of a company but some judges like to control and they attempt to take the decisions for someone else
