2001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: top industries influenced by blockchain on: July 18, 2019, 06:48:45 AM
I have found an interesting article https://medium.com/altcoin-magazine/top-10-industries-influenced-by-blockchain-c8c2b6a914a1 how blockchain is implemented in different spheres to simplify the job and I must agree it's really great to hear, but why any country hasn't implemented it into its structure yet just other spheres?

Don't have any illusions, blockchain is not widely adopted and used in production, with the recent stackoverflow developer survey results showing that more than 80% developers say that they don't use blockchain and a high amount of developers are skeptical about its future. The article just lists startups that promise to do something with blockchain, but show me how many of those startups have turned into successful and recognized companies.

It's true, blockchain is still not widely used because of various reasons but I think this will change. There are a lot of industries where it could be implemented like finances, healthcare, agriculture and similar and many governments are also interested to see implementaion of blockchain. That is why regulation is changing, some national plans and strategies are being developed, at least in Europe, as far as I know.
2002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest battle for Bitcoin's life is coming on: July 17, 2019, 10:42:41 AM
Honestly, I can't see why such drama, what battle are you talking about? Nothing dramatic is happening. Yes, there is some price correction, again, but nothing we haven't seen before.
And all these stories about Facebook, Libra, Trump and US government doesn't have such significant influence on Bitcoin, so forget about it.
2003  Economy / Economics / Re: Does China Control Bitcoin? on: July 17, 2019, 07:13:16 AM
All the time we claim that Bitcoin is decentralized and independent and that is one of the biggest advantages especialy compared to fiat currencies and theories appear that China or some other country controls Bitcoin. This makes no sense.
I don't believe in conspiracy theories that any country or government is controling Bitcoin as well as I don't believe that wales are so influencial as some claim to be.
2004  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: technical analysis is enough to be successful in trading ???? on: July 16, 2019, 06:31:01 PM
No, it's not enough. You are a human being, not a machine and you have to use your brain, your past experience and your emotions too, pure technical data are not enough.
If things were that simple then everyone could be successful in trading. It's could be very helpful though and you should take it into consideration when making decisions but you can't fully rely only on technical data.
2005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What ease your mind the most about bitcoin on: July 16, 2019, 03:19:53 PM
For me one of the best things about Bitcoin is that I can do finances without banks, I can purchase goods and services without spending fiat money. Also Bitcoin is available to me everywhere I have internet connection and transactions are fast and easy.
And I know that with time, no matter the price dumps and corrections my Bitcoin investment will bring me profit.
2006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you be mad if satoshi sold all coins they own right now? on: July 16, 2019, 11:16:15 AM
I have to say that I don't understand really this question. According to this question the presumption is that you know that Satoshi has some coins but you can't actually now it. Also, he has every right to do what he wants and despite some different opinions he doesn't have any obligations to any of us so why should anyone be angry or even think it has the right to be angry because of his decisions.
2007  Economy / Speculation / Re: This bitcoin news writer wants bitcoin price down on: July 16, 2019, 10:40:54 AM
I can't fully agree with such claim, it's not the way I see it. But I guess everyone interprets news on its own way of understanding. In general I think that many Bitcoin users look at many Bitcoin news like someone wants to harm Bitcoin even when the crticism or opinion is in good intention or shows real issues and problems that Bitcoin and community certainly have.
Don't read and watch such news so much and don't bother so much with other people's opinion, that is my advice.
2008  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful with fake exchanges on: July 15, 2019, 07:33:43 PM
Before you use some new exchange do the due diligence. Check their business, ownership, trustworthy, everything you can. Don't let some fake promises about good profit, low fees and similar misguide you. If anything at all looks suspicious to you, avoid it.
Also, you can find a list of trustworthy exchanges with good references and user experiences. Sometimes it's better to play safe.
2009  Economy / Economics / Re: To be or not to be. What to invest in? on: July 15, 2019, 06:29:59 PM
If you consider to invest in altcoins, don't. To my.opinion too much waisted time and efforts with too much uncertainty and not so good profit.
Invest in Bitcoin. Despite some issues it's still the best investment, especialy on long term.
Real estates and bonds could be very profitable but you have to know the market well and be able to adjust very quickly. Besides you need much larger starting capital compared to Bitcoin.
If I had to mention something else besides Bitcoin to invest and if you have a lot of funds, that would be work of art.
2010  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex account/app problems on: July 15, 2019, 12:41:50 PM
After all issues that I mentioned the app is working fine now. Seems it was all connected with maintainance although I'm not sure I figured well out what are they actually doing and what will be the changes that affect my Euro account.
Anyway, at the moment it's most important for me that cryptocurrencies exchange is working fine, as well as my card.
2011  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin seems to drop faster than rises on: July 14, 2019, 07:14:43 PM
Yes, that is always the feeling and no one doesn't like to see price drop. Still we were in similar situations couple of times recently and by now no one should be surprised. Corrections are part of volatility process.
But we also had pretty sudden and fast pump which very often ends up in corrections that is why I prefere slow and steady rise. But there is no place for panic and selling.
2012  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with goal setting on: July 14, 2019, 05:32:16 PM
I think that it's better not to start trading unless you have some goal that should be realistic and adjusted to your limits.
If you have a goal, you have the focus and it's easier to achieve what you want but all the time you should be aware of risk and you have to listen to the market and what is happening so that you can adjust. And always have enough patience and cool head, that is very important.
2013  Economy / Speculation / Re: prediction charts to help hodlers on when to sell and rebuy bitcoin on: July 13, 2019, 07:45:02 PM
The longer I'm involved with Bitcoin the less I trust prediction charts. To my opinion it's not good to rely on them too much, that might get you the feeling that you know what exactly is going to happen on the market and we know that is not true.
No one can't say you when to sell and when to hold, it's your own decision based on your own estimation.
2014  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin takes aim at $100,000 target on: July 13, 2019, 06:08:56 PM
There are many pointers that tell us we’ll reach a price of over $100,000 per BTC during this cycle. Soeak to HairyMaclairy on this forum if you want in depth, technical analysis. The price should continue to slowly rise overall until the halving (approx 10 months away). What we’ll see 6-18 months after the halving, hopefully, is the parabolic surge that’ll take us to $100,000 per coin.

Honestly, I don't believe that, it's way exaggerated. Nothing is iimpossible when it comes to Bitcoin, I have to say that too, still I don't believe Bitcoin price will go all the way to 100K. No matter that such predictions are made on certain analysis don't forget that analysis is correct as much as the data are and there is always a subjective estimation too so I'm not convinced.
2015  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you like to see Bitcoin prize stable between 10K-20K? on: July 13, 2019, 03:53:54 PM
If the Bitcoin fluctuates between 10K and 20 K then we can't call it stable actually. In fact Bitcoin price is never stable, it's always volatile even when the fluctuations are barely visible. If you ask any trader he would say that doesn't like Bitcoin price staying at one price range much because then there is no profit for them.
2016  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex account/app problems on: July 13, 2019, 11:37:55 AM
It seems that is working now but only after I loged in and loged out several times. Also, for some reason my card disappeared from the dashboard and I only had the option to order new one but now it's visible again. It's strange, I never had such problems before and this is obviously connected with maintainance and some changes they announeced and it's obviously affecting all services although they claim that everything except tranfering fiat currencies to IBAN is working fine. But it isn't.
2017  Economy / Exchanges / Wirex account/app problems on: July 13, 2019, 07:22:44 AM
Yesterday I got the message from Wirex that they are making some changes on the platforme regarding traditional currencies (like Euro) accounts. So IBAN will be changed and similar and this naintainance will take a while.
They also said that all other features like exchange services, cryptocurrencies accounts and Visa cards will be functioning normaly
Still I'm facing problems with exchange, can't exchange Bitcoin to Euro and transfer it to card.
Anyone else maybe having the same problems?
2018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uganda says cryptocurrency is risky on: July 13, 2019, 07:01:00 AM
And they didn't say anything wrong, Bitcoin is risky, everyone who deals with it knows that.
Also, the role of central banks is to watch monetary systems and also to warn citizens about possible monetary and financial risks. That doesn't mean they are against Bitcoin but because of its nature at this moment it's impossibe to be implemented formaly into economy system. And that is not only in Uganda.
2019  Economy / Economics / Re: buying bitcoin is like immigrating to a new country on: July 12, 2019, 07:41:20 PM
It's an interesting comparison but actually I can't see any connection. Bitcoin is not tied to.any country and to be more precise it's not actually a currency so it's not tied to any economy or monetary system of any particular country. Amd that is advantage of Bitcoin and that is why is available to everyone, everywhere.
2020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump is tweeting about Bitcoin O.O thoughts? on: July 12, 2019, 06:28:40 PM
So many threads about Bitcoin and Donald Trump appeared. I don't know why people pay so much attention to that, his statements about Bitcoin are not relevant. Besides he changes his attitude so often that is actually very hard to tell what he thinks.
And it's necessary to make a difference between his attitude and official opinion of US administration about cryptocurrencies because this is not the same thing.
