XDN had one-month halving, this has six months, but six months is still not very long. The coin has been out a month and a half and not much has happened. In another 3.5 months unless something changes half the lifetime supply will be sitting in a few miner wallets.
And this would be bad. I did say better emission curve, not perfect (if that exists). I'm willing to give it another month or three and see if the creator actually delivers some of the projects he has mentioned, and see if that generates some additional interest.

I've had few phone calls from miners who picked my contact on facebook page to ask for more information about Bitcedi. I make sure i tell them to keep Bitcedi and not sell now because Marketing is working something out to increase value which will make them earn more with the same amount of Bitcedi they have. Those who understood keep and those who did not, well...
But my advice, Holding or depositing Bitcedi will be rewarding when the work on the ground starts to bear fruits.
Considering the network hashrate is only 2 kh/s, there can't be more than like 20 people mining now. I'm running a laptop at like 50 h/s, but someone could 51% attack the network with like to nice video cards atm. and why exactly you waste the energy to mine this I like the idea of the coin - digitaldarkducknote with a better emission curve, imo, and the laptop is mostly idle otherwise, but if hashrate doesn't pick up I don't think distribution will be any better than xdn. Also, doing my part to contribute to global warming

Hey also had a question on our XVG choice. Bitcoin is BTC, Ethereum is ETH, The DAO is DAO, Lisk is LSK and others of course.
Just wondering as I know we discussed this when we changed. We went with X because we could be listed on more exchanges, but wondering if that is hurting us in anyway on not being named in line like other larger coins. They seem to all be on more exchanges than us, but we went with the X so we could be on more. Doesn't appear we are there so just wondering why?
Bitcoin also uses XBT to be in accordance with the ISO code on currencies - non-country currencies stay with X, so gold is XAU, Bitcoin is XBT, Monero adopted XMR about two years ago shortly after it launched, and many other cryptos have followed suit. I think Ripple XRP or primecoin XPM may have been first after Bitcoin, not really sure.

crying out loud. i updated my monerogui 0.4 latest and it said it was syncronized and up to date. so i transferred funds and it says it transferred them but it didnt (small amount was unconfirmed). the moneros never reached the target even the address and all are ok. now when i restard monerox it wont load the blockchain beyond 88 days left. I got the wallet backup ofc but still what should i do? discard the monerox? was the transfer done? delete everything and continue with a new GUI?
Yea, this hasn't been updated in a very long time, since way before the hard fork in early spring. If you're desperate for a GUI you can try my lightwallet wrapper, the new version of which should work with post hard fork binaries. https://github.com/jwinterm/LightWallet2See the release tab for binaries. There's also a chrome browser extension that works as a wrapper for simplewallet, and a newly released node is installed for Windows that I think provides a web based interface to simplewallet as well. Node js one https://github.com/JamesCullum/Monero-Installer

The ten crypto commandments:
Rule nombre uno: never let no one know how much, dough you hold, cause you know The cheddar breed jealousy 'specially if that man fucked up, get your ass stuck up
Number two: never let em know your next move Don't you know bit boys move in silence or violence Take it from your highness (uh-huh) I done squeezed mad clips at these cats for they bricks and chips
Number three: never trust no-bo-dy Your moms'll set that ass up, properly gassed up Hoodie to mask up, shit, for that fast buck she be layin in the bushes to light that ass up
Number four: know you heard this before Never buy high, or sell your whole supply
Number five: never sell no coins where you rest at I don't care if they want btc, tell em flee
Number six: that god damn credit, dead it You think a cryptohead payin you back, shit forget it
Seven: this rule is so underrated Keep your family and business completely seperated Money and blood don't mix like two dicks and no bitch Find yourself in serious shit
Number eight: never keep no private keys on you Them cats that squeeze your guns can hold jobs too
Number nine shoulda been number one to me If you ain't gettin bags stay the fuck from police (uh-huh) If niggaz think you snitchin ain't tryin listen They be sittin in your kitchen, waitin to start hittin
Number ten: a strong word called consignment Strictly for live men, not for freshmen If you ain't got the clientele say hell no Cause they gon want they money rain sleet hail snow
Follow these rules you'll have mad bread to break up If not, twenty-four years, on the wake up Slug hit your temple, watch your frame shake up Caretaker did your makeup, when you pass Your girl fucked my man Jake up, heard in three weeks she sniffed a whole half of cake up Heard she suck a good dick, and can hook a steak up Gotta go gotta go, more pasta bake up, word up, uhh

With all the rule changes and merger nonsense, it's hard to win back trust.
Agree. It was hard enough to keep up with shit when it was just protoshares and angelshares, but when they went to 2.0 and had splits and mergers and buyouts and whatever else with play and vote and whatever else it just became so convoluted that I assumed bad faith and scamming through dilution to separate entities controlled by the same people. I still hold like 30k bts cause I'm too lazy to sell them, but it seems like the same group of scam by convoluted dilution folks have moved on to steem a new convoluted scheme to separate fools from their btc.

Good to hear, since I am like the entire buy order book atm

I believe linux monero simplewallet should ask for a password confirmation when creating a wallet. It's not that hard to make a typo on a linux console!
yeah the lack of that is very frustrating. Something that lightwallet actually has that simplewallet does not Shocking!

Solo mined a block on my shitty lappy last night running like 50 h/s I don't think you taking over the coin at this point would be that difficult for anyone, since all you need to do is merge changes from digitaldarkducknote and compile wallets, right? Someone should PM lulworm and see what his intentions are before stepping up as white knight. It's only been like a week or something since he posted. I know that feels like an eternity in cryptopia, but it's really not that long of a time, and he's still running the website and the pool and stuff, so it's not like he just shut his server down and walked away.
|
|
|
Man, network hash down to 2.5 kh/s. Maybe lulworm is just being quiet so he can get diff down and mine some coins himself, or maybe the windows wallet is just a lulworm?
