We have implemented instant withdrawals.
It will cover 95% of withdrawal requests, we will include the big ones later, once the beta phase terminates.

Hope our players find this a good measure and we could get an upgrade from the weak (and unfair on our opinion) C- ..

BetBTC- glad to hear that. I'll wait a little while for customer feedback as well as personal withdrawals as a test. Your thread is always monitored to check on what the players post.
2022  Economy / Exchanges / Re: So coinbase closed my account for gambling... on: October 30, 2015, 06:21:42 AM
coinbase doesn't accept customers from my country so I don't know much about it but it follows American rules and you know that unregulated gambling sites are not allowed in the US
I heard so many people complaining about this problem , maybe you should use an exchanger or something like that cause they are following your addresses

If you are playing anonymously at a bitcoin sportsbook that bans US IPs, a VPN will allow you to get in and use the site.
2023  Economy / Exchanges / Re: So coinbase closed my account for gambling... on: October 30, 2015, 05:32:25 AM
I presume that's why.

I got a warning email a month or so ago...I had done a few withdraws directly to CB from poker sites. Once I got it, I did every single transfer through a middle wallet first.

I'm guessing the transaction behavior was what led to the closure since I never went directly to gambling from CB again (winning poker player...I would keep X amount in CB, when I won that amount in poker, I would sell it on CB and withdraw that amount from the poker site to my other wallet and then to CB)

What other sites can I use that are easy as coinbase? I could sell a bitcoin one day and the money would be in my bank account the next day with very low fees, less than 1%.

Thanks

Based on this,
Quote
Using the Services to make the following types of payments is prohibited, and Circle reserves the right to monitor for payments that relate to:

-snip-
gambling activities including but not limited to sports betting, casino games, horse racing, dog racing, lotteries, games of chance, sweepstakes, games of skill that may be classified as gambling (i.e. poker), or other activities that facilitate any of the foregoing;
We understand that gambling may be legal in your jurisdiction, but unfortunately we cannot allow you to use Circle in connection with these activities.

It's a international(non. US) agreement. They can't allow this either as they are based in US. (CMIIW)

If you use Nitrogen you will be fine since they use multiple wallets for withdrawals and you can change your deposit address up to 5 times a day. For transferring with other books, you can use a mixer such as https://bitmixer.io/

Before closing an account, Circle normally will ask you what type of transactions that you make and with whom. Most just say they buy and sell computer equipment and tell Circle that I would rather keep the names private. It seems to work.

bgerg and gogo- thanks for posting about Cloudbet. Since they were recently downgraded another one won't be given now but Cloudbet is on a very short leash to being downgraded again.

More than 48 hours later and no response in the Cloudbet thread from cs.

Cloudbet just stated that they've increased support and once again they frustrate a player by not responding within a reasonable amount of time.

i have yet to try anonibet but isnt there suppose to be a flexible bet assuming that the odd wont change dramatically? so by a little bit of diff, your bet should be able to go through.

You can click accept higher odds. If the odds change in your favor, the bet with be accepted. It will be rejected if the line changes against you.

I'll look more in depth and update next week.

Is anyone is playing at BetBTC please post experiences.

@Peeps have you got any time to review betbtc during the previous week? What was your opinion?

Interface is phenomenal and very user friendly. Deposits were credited after 3 confirmations as stated on your site. Withdrawal times on 3 different withdrawals were 2 minutes, 20 minutes and 16 hours.

For the bad, there's very little liquidity even for EPL and NFL. There aren't any NCAA markets. In the NFL a ML is listed but not a spread.

I really like the site and hope that there's more liquidity in the near future.

We strive to improve BetBTC everyday. There are still things that can be better, however your D rank is unfair at the moment especially if we take in consideration that there are many books out there with settlement and withdrawal problems with C and B ranks.

All liquidity is placed by our users. We can't be liable if league x or event y "is listed but not a spread", our action towards this is only improving and promoting betbtc so that more people get in and this empty markets don't exist anymore on the future.

What we should be ranked for is about how our platform is solid and secure, how our deposits are credited in time, how our withdrawals are credited in time, how you can make a trading exactly like you do on betfair (cutting liabilities like no other do), how our events are settled in time, how we haven't lost a satoshi in more than 1 year, how we haven't had any complaint in more than 1 year, etc..

About the lack of leagues just one word, we could deploy all leagues and matches on the platform, we pay for all that already. The point is that we prefer to have only the majors for now so that the liquidity could be more concentrated. Maybe on the future if we think it will be positive we could get them back in (as we already had on the beginning).

Cheers

I agree that "D" is too low. The rating is bumped to "C-". In order for it to go any higher the liquidity will have to grow.

Although, I have no problem personally with withdrawals taking up to 24 hours, the community here is much more stringent. A 15 minute withdrawal time limit has been set and books not meeting that requirement cannot be rated higher than "B".

Fair enough.

We are currently working on the withdrawal times (automatising some manual procedures) and soon we will be able to process 90% of withdrawals on that period. The remaining shouldn't take more than 2/3 hours, will that be a problem?
No problem with that at all.

DirectBet lowered from "C+" to "C"

Player placed two bets on Calgary v Vancouver NHL match on October 8, 2015. One bet was for .04 BTC and another for .2 BTC. The bet for .04 lost and the bet for .2 won.

DirectBet confiscated both bets stating:

DirectBet was asked how the player defrauded the system. DirectBet wouldn't share how the claimed fraudulent activity occurred with peepsplace or the player.

When there have been claims of abuse against other books, the book has always shared information asked of them. This is the first time that a book refused to share information disputing a claim. There is no choice other than downgrading DirectBet.

DirectBet -  feel free to reply if you would like.

What were the 2 bets?

The confiscated winning bet was 0.2 BTC @ 1.41 on Vancouver. The losing bet was 0.04 BTC @ 6.2 on Calgary

I told DirectBet that this thread will never be used to extort or strong arm a book.

The amount is irrelevant. A book should never confiscate your funds. DirectBet has given no reason other than a hack and no proof has been provided.

For the above reasons, not only should the amount wagered be refunded but the winnings should be paid.

I have had another problem with Anonibet, the game between Golden State Warriors and L.A Lakers was called off with about 2 minutes left to play in the 3rd quarter. I had 2 live bets, one for over 51.5 points in third quarter and the other on Warriors to win the game, when the match was called off, 40 points had been scored but there was still 2 minutes 16 to play, however, Anonibet have refused to void my bet and they say its a loss, even though at the time I placed my bet, the period and odds were designed for a 12 minute period. Their live customer support has been telling me nothing can be done and so on, but this is clearly stiffing of players.
Shoot me another PM saying that I can look into this and I'll do it. This one is an easy call.

I'll let one of the parties post the exact bets if they want.

DirectBet is claiming they were hacked. Not only were winnings confiscated but the deposit, amount wagered, was confiscated. I assume that this was done as a punishment.

No good book will ever confiscate your deposit.

Betcoin Sports is very excited to announce beta testing of live play by play action for some LIVE sports wagering options in the LIVE section at Betcoin Sports

What's Play by play? I never heard this before, any examples in fiat sportsbooks? Thanks.

I misunderstood it. Using the NFL, I thought it meant that you would be able to bet such things as whether the next play would be a run or pass.

After asking, it's not that but it's still is nice. During a soccer game, the soccer field will be shown and you can see which team is attacking and all the stats of the game will be shown.
