1021  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: April 07, 2019, 09:56:36 PM
It is included under not rated, meaning people have to post their experiences here first,,, before a rating can be applied. Does this not make sense? Why not share your own experience with the book and then after a few people have given ratings, maybe OP can update to include it.

OP, does trust rating apply when people give their ratings? And if trust increases or lowers,,, does this have an effect? Random question:)

Poster experiences and input play a big role in the ratings. If there is negative trust, then that will be verified before affecting a rating. Books are questioned by PM prior to a rating being posted. They must also be receptive to answering questions on problems that posters may have with their book.

Thank you for the reply. It is nice to know the ratings here are all counted against many factors. I think most of us in the gambling scene here are only normal and average people, no bad trust ratings and no good ones. The funny thing is that a lot of the people with opinions who are considered important,,, also have bad trust ratings.

Thank you for keeping an eye out for everyone!

Reminder to keep your money in the top books this weekend. After the NCAA finals, Super Bowl and World Cup are the most popular times for problems to occur.

I think that whole D thing is mainly due to the self exemption clause, they do not really let you go and if you win they just cancel your bet and if they win they just open up your account or keep it closed so they do it the way it works out best for them which is really not the way any sportsbook should go.

If a casino does anything even slightly shady they do get a bad grade here, for example there are sportsbooks at B and C levels that doesn't have any shady business, they are just not as good as the A ones and thats it, it could be timing of withdrawals, it could be bad odds it could be anything related to how it is run but not a shady business, the moment it moves to shady business practices they go down to D and even F, so sportsbet should be even happy about not being F to be honest.
This is a very good summation of the grading process.

Hi Sportsbet,

I wasn't trying to hide your replies. I posted a link on where your answers started since there was more than one reply. Even though I'm in disagreement with what has been said, it's appreciated that you chime in.
1026  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: April 03, 2019, 03:29:21 AM
I see everyone here is rating sportsbet.io as a D book and I try to figure that out. Is it because of their previous problems they had with big withdrawals? Because right now it seems like they are one of the best sportsbook existing offering best available for all kind of sports from multiple countries and they also offer instant withdrawals which not every sportsbook offer. So why is it rated as a D?

There was discussion here where sportsbet chimed in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=717790.3020 . I posted the following:

1. Margins - The margins (odds) at Sportsbet are very high. It's almost impossible for a player to overcome that type of hold with vanilla lines.

2. Self exclusion - When a player asks for self-exclusion, Sportsbet steers the player towards taking a temporary ban.

3. Areezy - Under no circumstances should a book be able to cancel a futures play. Areezy has given me permission to look into his account. If there is something that is missing, please PM.

4. KYC/AML - There are rare cases where KYC may be required. Sportsbet is heavy handed on KYC and confiscated 21.5 BTC form a player of which 15 BTC was from his deposit.

5. Double spend claims - Sportsbet should wait for 1 confirmation if they are going to confiscate funds for an "accused" double spend attempt.

6. Communication - A PM was sent to all books asking if they banned players from the UK or US. Every book replied within a day except Sportsbet.

1028  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: March 30, 2019, 08:25:16 PM
There are speculations about stake/primedice starting a new sportsbook, I know it probably won't be anytime soon but it will certainly happen and that excites me more than any of these websites, even nitrogen where I play most of my games doesn't come close to anything stake/primedice team could put out in my mind.

I hope it will be good on odds because I know the trust and speed and support all will be amazing, all there is left is the odds right now and as long as its not like a premium level I would be even fine with a slight bit of worse odds than nitrogen at this point. Plus fortunejack started a sportsbook if I am not wrong and I do not see them on your list at all, not just at high but not even on low, maybe someone can tell us how they are doing over there and if it is any good or not.

upsidedown - thanks for the information. Fortunejack has been added to NR (not rated). I'll play there to check it out. If anyone else plays there, please post experiences.

Betcoin still has a parlay promotion going on for March Madness. https://www.betcoin.ag/march-madness-over-15-btc-guaranteed-bracket-contest-parlay-promo-100-btc-perfect-bracket

Books - feel free to post or PM me with any March Madness contests.

It's strongly recommended to only play at "A" and "B" books at this time. Fortunately no books went under after the Super Bowl. The second most popular time for a book to run is after the NCAA March Madness.

Nitrogen has a free 1.3 BTC NCAA bracket contest https://blog.nitrogensports.eu/brackets/march-madness-2019/

any more NCAA brackets?

I just checked betbtc. There are few things that caught my eye from the first moment I saw it. First of all it takes a while to load the main page, not huge time but like 10-15 seconds at most so do not be worried but after that whatever you click just opens up really fast, no loading time, no page turning, just pure instant result. That fast pace is really good to be honest.

Design seems sleek but too simple, being minimalistic and being too simple are two very different things, if you are going for minimalistic this isn't the way. Odds are not horrible I will give you that. I think with time and more and more people gambling there it will show how the withdrawal times are, if they have a decent withdrawal time on top of all of this I would give them a C+.
Thanks fullhdpixel, it's appreciated.

BetBTC is now a Sportsbook. Maybe it may be interesting for you to check the updates.

Parlays and Live Betting are some the new features. Navigation was also highly optimised
I've quickly checked it and it seems pretty good, at least for someone who is betting on the winning team or on goals. The problem is they don't have enough sports, events and especially enough betting options. For Europe League today you can find bets available only on goals, spread and winning team which is OK, but for an experienced bettor its definitely not the best option he has. Of course, they are just at the beginning so I am not judging them but they could definitely improve some things on their sportsbook

Thanks MakeMoneyBtc. If anyone would like to share input on BetBTC, along with payout times/experiences that existed with the exchange, please do so.

Peeps, I know you think any promotion is promotion so march madness seems like a good deal but 8th seed or lower team ain't winning a ring on ncaa, it almost never happens (except 2014). Also, I would like to point out you need a bit of help and people seems to be not supporting it enough because this place is one of the best places to find whats good or whats wrong for a sportsbook in all honesty and objectivity, you are not making any profit from any of this.

Maybe you can start writing up a post and post it both here and on each not rated websites main topic so people could provide proofs of how good or how bad a sportsbook is.

Yeah, maybe you do not need help with nitrogen but there are so many not rated places and there are so many very rarely rated places that if we had like 10+ more people gambling and providing proof of good or bad (getting bad is easy, getting good is hard) this ranking would have been so much better.
You are 100% right that getting bad is easy, but getting good is very difficult. I'm not 100% sure what you mean to get more input from others? I agree that it's best to get as many write ups and personal experiences as possible, but I don't know how to go about getting more input. From the amount of views, many people read this thread but they aren't giving opinions that would help us all, including rating's adjustments.

What type of reduced juice nitrogensports offer?
When I go shopping for the best odds,  I always end up with Fairlay or Bitcoinrush.  Nitrogensports odds are generally not competitive lately. Because of that I only use their site to play small poker tournaments occasionally.
You make valid points although the odds at Nitrogen aren't all that bad and Nitrogen is beatable. Reduced juice, for rating's purposes, means that the odds are better than -110 (1.91) on each side in major markets. Unless lines are off, it's almost impossible to beat books that aren't reduced under the definition above.

NR is not recommended ? Honestly you are doing way more than what people probably realize Cheesy I just realized you did more than just the alphabetical stuff Cheesy I was looking only at the A/B/C/D sportsbooks, I never realized you had exchanges, you had "F" rated which I had no idea it existed at all, prediction markets and of course one and only lovable onehash.

What is the difference between F and NR? I can see plenty of places that says "closed" there and dunno the reason why a closed sportsbook would be listed anyway, feel like could be removed but honestly doesn't bother anyone so could stay too.

I feel like those things are listed a bit too close to each other, the exchanges and prediction markets and onehash should be closer to A/B/C/D list than closer to NR things, it feels like you are warning people instead of suggesting anything. Maybe right under the list would be much better instead of way down there.

sana - thanks for the suggestions. I'll move some of it around based upon your suggestions in a day or two. "NR" stands for not rated. I will clarify that. If you or anyone else is playing at NR books, please post a review.
1040  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of BITCOIN SPORTSBOOKS : poster book discussion on: March 02, 2019, 12:56:44 AM
Add 1bettor.com to NR. I don't know for sure but it looks like a poster using agent software to take bets.

edit- a thread from 2013 was bumped and the OP last posted in 2013 so the poster may not even take wagers. 1bettor will be deleted from the ratings if there isn't a reply to the bumped post.
