2042  Other / Meta / Re: Remove Merit.. Its beyond the control? on: April 27, 2018, 08:52:01 PM
Here is a very broad generalisation.

Bounty hunters don't like the merit system, as they don't seem to be able to earn merits. This means they can't rank up to scrounge cash from the efforts of the genuine forum members.

Established Bitcoiners think the merit system is great, as it helps them to talk about Bitcoin without being swamped with spam.

Ultimately the merit system will get rid of the spammy and scammy bounty programmes, and allow Bitcoin Talk to return to being the great resource that it used to be.

Conclusion - the merit system is working, and it's a great innovation that could save Bitcoin Talk from the cesspit.
While a generalization, I wouldn't say that this is far from the truth. The merit system is effective in preventing new accounts from ranking up just by making posts. This leaves many people unsatisfied and the rush of new users in this forum coincides with the introduction of the merit system.

I don't however think that bounty hunters are necessarily worried about such matters. Bounties, excluding signature campaigns, are not dependent on forum rank. In fact, many bounty tasks are done outside of the forum. Bitcointalk is only used for reporting on completed tasks by bounty managers that don't utilize an automated tracking system and in so a bitcointalk account is a necessity.

Don't bother with this, it's a dead coin.

I don't know why this thread was bumped...

2045  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: April 27, 2018, 10:22:01 AM

I think you can delete Revolut now, or at least put it on hold.

They are banning all accounts
Any proof for that claim?

I have noticed some comments about this as well, since one or two weeks. I didn't pay attention as people didn't really explain what happened exactly. And often people avoid telling the embarrassing point for their matter
Aw, that's pretty sad. Revolut made press released in my country a few weeks ago announcing an official Release of services in our region (Greece).
2046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for loan - Estabilished EU company on: April 27, 2018, 09:35:30 AM
Seriously, why not go to a bank for a loan? Inerest rates in Europe are far from predatory. If you were to start something innovative and had a good track record you could even enlist on one of the many programs for subsidies and get a no interest loan or grant. I'm sure you'd know all that if you were a businessman.

Do you have a bad track record with actual loans? Then why should we trust you?

And why would anybody trust you when you're self admittedly so irresponsible with personal funds? Missing a 500 USD invoide? Aren't any of those businesses you claim to have profitable?

You might ask, why i need to fund, when stores are good. Here's a thing what happened to me. I've got screwed several times this year.

1) My investment manager lost my portfolio in forex (currently dealing with police)
2) I've ordered adverts from czech company in printed magazines, but i didn't noticed catch in contract. If i pay my inovice late, i will loose right for discounts (which i didn't know there was some discount). Anyway now i will have arbitrage court with that company because they want 14000 usd (original invoice was 500usd). And there is a chance that i will loose it, so i need to use my money for this. I've paid invoice late, because my grandmother died and i was the only one who was able to pay funeral costs etc. and obviously i was devasted from this. I've made a call with manager from that company, explained situation and gave my word i will pay it. They didn't wait and starting their demand of paying 14k instead 0.5k.

500 USD... DO you know what running capital is? How can you run ANY business if you don't have 500 USD on the side? This is like economic management 101.

I find this loan request very, very suspicious.
2047  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-26]Wikipedia Warned Writers Owning Cryptocurrency of Conflict of Intere on: April 26, 2018, 09:42:48 PM
So long as the information is fact based I don't care who writes it or what the incentive is. It's currently hard to find information on coins that isn't fluff or just baseless marketing. If Wikipedia manages to build a strong base for factual cryptocurrency information it shouldn't pay much attention to who puts the effort into writing it as long as its sourced. I've seen entirely Wikipedia articles removed on the basis that they might be "promotional". Well, so what if they are promotional... Someone abided by your standards to write a highly specialized technical articled sourced from outside sources and you remove it because it's promotional? Some wikipedia editors are just a bit salty about the crypto scene.
2048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [LUNABOT]|[Crypto Trading Bot]❗Limited Offer for Sr./Hero/Legendary members❗ on: April 26, 2018, 06:02:35 PM
LunaBot's double up feature allows it to weight it's bags to a reasonable price and come out of market slumps with great profits. This helps profit through all market situstions:
On normal days, the usual volatility bof crypto has the bot completing many trades.
On bearish days the bot might double up several times with reserves on its bags but as soon as the market goes to the slightest green the bot can quickly trade bagged coins for big profits.

Here is my progression so far. As you can see. Yesterday's mini "bloodbath" ended up turning in decent profits for what I am trading with.
2049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DEAD] GARLICOIN - Reddit's Garlic Bread Worshiping Currency on: April 25, 2018, 10:06:22 PM
It makes sense to just lock the thread and point to the other thread if one doesn't want to deal with it. Labeling the thread Dead will just confuse people.
That thread is dreader than the one here. It might make sense to lock both.
2050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to short DCR on: April 25, 2018, 09:27:44 PM
Decred might be innovative but today it was pumped by many innexperienced crypto users being lead into buying it. It's quite a weird sentiment, the one in Korea. I like how that guy even lead those people to buy in a non-Korean exchange. Many must have lost money there in an instant, yet he told them that it's a good investment for the following 2 or 3 years. We'll see about that...

Decred is pretty decent altcoin. They have a solid roadmap and good technology.
I usually dont like altcoins, but decred is one of those that i like. Good team also. It may be pumped at the moment but i think over long term it is going up

Y'know, the only reason I keep being reminded of this thread is because people keep bumping it. Tongue

2053  Local / Altcoins (Ελληνικά) / Re: Faircoin η αλλιώς η παπάτζα μάντολες on: April 25, 2018, 08:40:03 AM

2059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pump & Dump is "no longer" an acceptable term in crypto currency on: April 23, 2018, 02:37:40 PM
Pumps and dumps happen every day in crypto. There are several exchanges trading the same pairs and nobody can impose the same rules on all of them. Instances of painting the tape have been even observed. Pumps and dumps are even easier to facilitate with only volumes required. Just look at how many upward and downward spikes there have been in USDBTC markets over the last few weeks pushing the price up and down $200 at a time with a single order.

The 22nd was a crazy day for me in LunaBot. Double up really did... double up for me. Grin

Remember, I'm only trading with 0.1 BTC deposited in my Binance account from Apr. 19 onwards. The bot seems to be averaging On a good daily % in profits.

Bonus trade with more than 8% profit. Posted on LunaBot's telegram.
