2061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 28, 2023, 06:15:55 PM
Lots of games on the docket tonight have some early ones in.

Knicks on the road +2 against the Nets.  Almost like a home game and knicks owe the Nets a good beating

Timberwolves at home +2 against kings.

Lakers +9 against the Celtics.  Prime time game on ABC and AD coming back.  I might actually take the Lakers ML here at these odds.

Jazz -7.5 at home against Dallas with no Luka.  Dallas sukcs without Luka thos should be an easy win for jazz.

If this will happen, offered Jerami Grant his maximum four year, $112 million extension...

Quote
Thave offered Jerami Grant his maximum four year, $112 million extension but the versatile forward is yet to accept the deal, reports Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer. Grant became eligible for the deal earlier this month.

Do you think he is deserving of this huge contract? or will help accept it or decline it?

The final decision should have a very serious approach.

Expecting a much higher contract extension in the free agency is a good option but how sure he was that it will be offered by the Blazers? The original offer was already good and I can't blame him expecting for more but that was a risky move. Surely, he was thinking that overnight.

I hope Jerami Grant, if ever really pushes to decline the 4-year $112M contract extension but is, unfortunately, unable to get what he's expected in the free agency in the postseason, won't turn into a Dennis Schroder 2.0.

The difference here is Dennis Schroeder and Jerami Grant are 2 completely separate players.  Any team would take on Jeremy if they had cap space.  He can get that same contract from multiple teams.  Dennis Schroeder is easily replaceable with a player coming out of the draft for much cheaper.

Two of the 49ers' four losses this season have come against dual-threat QBs, QBs who can run the ball well: Fields in Week 1 and Mariota in Week 6. I know it was early in the season and under different circumstances, but still... The 49ers have the league's best run defense, but they'll have their hands full with Hurts' ability to run and his designed Redzone runs, which are difficult to defend/scheme against.

I also like AJ Brown's matchup against the 49ers' secondary, which i believe is their weakest link. Metcalf played well on the outside in the wild-card game.

Purdy vs. Eagles pass rush is also something to watch, Cowboys' defense was Purdy's first real test, and despite not throwing a touchdown, he didn't give the ball away either, no turnovers. The Eagles' pass rush ranks second in pressure rate and first in sacks, making this another difficult matchup for him.

I got the Eagles and Bengals making it to the owl. Excited to watch both games... Smiley

I have been thinking about this all week and I can't make heads or tails about it.  My guilt says to go with San Fran but I don't know how the pressure of Philly against a real good eagles defense Brock will do.  If they can get McCaffrey going it will relieve the stress but if they stack the box all game daring them to air it out It can be a rough day for San Fran.  Going with SF though
2064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Power Slap League on: January 27, 2023, 09:10:36 PM
Who didn’t hear or watch at least one video about Dana white’s latest show which called The Power Slap League that started this new year of 2023, the rules of this sport are easy and simple where both competitors taking turns trying to knock each other out in order to win
There is a lot of talking about it lately about the low payout of Ufc boss to the participants of this tournament which goes to only 3200£ a Fight while he might be generating millions of dollars of it, But my topic here i want it to be about betting on this new sport and tournament which i still didn’t see any bookmaker announcing anything about this matter, And in my opinion it’s a lot of fan and as any fighting sport there is always bookmakers that will eventually include Power Slap League and allow people to bet on their favorite fighters.

Dumbest sport ever, honestly.  Talk about cte and brain issues.  Just constantly taking professional hits with no chance to defend yourself.  No real tactic either.  Just slap the shit out of someone until someone gets knocked out lol.  I mean people will definitely bet on it though because that's what we do 😆
2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When was your last Royal Fush? on: January 27, 2023, 09:01:15 PM
In holdem I've landed one once but I was only holding 1 of the cards, the other 4 came on the flop and river.  I've never in all the years playing was in a hand where even the other player had a royal flush with 2 of theor hole cards used in the flush.
2066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 27, 2023, 08:30:51 PM
0 point
7 assists
1 rebound
19 minutes played

That was Ben Simmon's stats against the Pistons hehe. It just doesn't make sense for a big PG not to make more shot attempts on a league that mostly favors offense now. It was less than 10 tries per game in their last four or five outings. This guy would be very lucky to have a contract extension that's close to his current salary if he keeps playing like this.

Simmons' fear of shooting the ball doesn't surprise me anymore, and I highly doubt the Nets will want to take a risk and offer him a contract extension. I'd rather believe the Nets will get rid of him before his current contract expires. By the way, I'm amused by the fact that even Shaq had a better free throw percentage in his career than Simmons has this season.

Yeah he isn't getting an extension he will probably end up buried on a non contender who will take a flyer on him.  He was a solid player but mental health looks like it got the best of him.  Maybe he just walks away from the game who knows, either way it's a shame and hope the dude gets better mentally for his posy basketball.life.
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 27, 2023, 08:28:35 PM
Yes, I also believe that the number of participants can affect the quality of the world cup, not to the detriment of other teams, but unfortunately if a country has not participated in previous world cups, it means that it has neither the capacity nor the quality to be a eligible team to participate in the world cup.

I imagine that the main reason the world cup is such a rare and prestigious event is because it takes place every 4 years.

I don't agree. According to the most probable system, the teams that qualify for the knock out stages will play one additional match only, while they could face weaker teams in the group stages. Therefore, their performance won't change a lot in my opinion. On the other hand, increasing the number will give more opportunities for the theoretically weak teams and their fans to appear in the World Cup. However, the decision to increase the number of participants was taken for pure financial reasons.

You're right it was purely financial not for competitive reasons.  It's like adding new teams to a particular league.  It dilutes the competition and quality.  Same amount of possible players spread over more teams in this case countries on the lower end of talent.  If you can't qualify that should just be it, you don't qualify.
2068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shiba inu coin, now ranked 13th in cmc on: January 24, 2023, 10:22:18 PM
lately I always buy shiba inu coins in installments using the dca system and in my opinion shiba inu coins will have good potential in the future because looking at the rankings on cmc, what do you think about shiba inu coins, will they have the potential to increase in the future, or not? I want to hear an explanation from all of you?...

Your explanation of their ranking on cmc is not very good.  I can go year by year and show you that doesn't mean anything.  Shib rose from meme fame on the heels of doge.  It's a useless token amd ran up from the fad.  Next bull run will be another fad and all these meme coins will slowly fade as people one by one exit theor bag holding position.

Took the day off after getting burned pretty bad last week.  But that was last week!  Lol

Here's what I like today, knicks at home getting 3.5.  Home getting points I like it without spida in the lineup.

Bulls over the Pacers-3.5. Bulls are better than theor record I think they win this one easily with no one running the point in pacerland.

With kristaps out and rui on the move I like Dallas at home giving 7 points. Beal could blow it for me but he just came back recently hopefully he isn't game fitness ready lol.

Good luck tonight everyone!
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 24, 2023, 10:16:21 PM
Honestly, Rui is not a good enough player just for the three second round picks, let alone Nunn, and I agree that Nunn is not good neither, if it was a straight up trade then I would say they are good, but three second round picks? That has to be terrible man, that's really not a good trade. Lakers basically do not have any picks left, they are trusting this team to either work very well and get a title next year (can't get one this year lets be realistic) or they will just suck for another 5-6 years in a row, not even tanking because they have no picks, they will just suck and that's it, end of story, don't even have a plan to get better.

They are trying to hit gold.  Rui is being somewhat misused in Washington and Lakers need to strike gold right now.  They can't wait to draft players with lebron and AD in house right now.  I agree it's not worth the trade but it is what it is they are trying anything they can to move up.  They know for dam sure the squad they throw out there now isn't good enough.
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 22, 2023, 10:23:15 PM
Today a good mix of home and away teams I like.

Knicks +1.5 at Toronto.  These 2 teams always play tight.  Like the Knicks on the road here.
Denver -5.5 at home
Suns +8.5 I know it's against the Grizzlies but think Suns can backdoor cover.
Last I like Warriors at home against the Nets-7.5 that's a tough travel for the Nets without Durant gonna be tough.

Good luck everyone.
2072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The truth about Terra Luna Classic on: January 22, 2023, 10:19:11 PM
Hello,
Is Terra Luna Classic recovering?
I doubt that it's entirety will recover.

Why does TrustWallet pay 15% profit to staking it?
CZ isn't even delisting it on Binance so, I think that he's still keeping the one that he's got from the team and they're in total loss with this project. A 15% is attracting more people to stake it but it's useless because it's not going to go up unless you still got a lot of it and you've taken that before the debacle because you can't sell it due to big losses.

As long as people are buying and selling it and he can make a percentage on the trade then why not.  It amazes me how much people are willing to put into luna at this point.  It's a complete gamble that will eventually fade away.  Lunacy if you ask me.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 22, 2023, 10:17:15 PM
Take Mike Evans, he's a hugely underrated wr.
And he is very conditioned by the current situation of the bucs.
Being a lifelong bucs you see just how his season depends on how he throws the wind for the team.
The two years with Brady prior to this have been flawless, this year has been a disappointment along with the whole team.  Prior to Brady he too had up and down seasons depending on his team.
Then, by the law of large numbers, if you evaluate his entire career, a Mr. wr still emerges, with the highest number of tds ever in his team.
But season by season it always depends on the whole context

these are my 2 cents

There might be a communication barrier here.  Don't know what you are getting at bucs along with Mike Evans are probably on some island on vacation right now.

With being said so are my giants.  What a terrible game that was.  Worst playoff game overall I've seen in a long time.  Boring end to end.  Backing the Bengals from here on out.
2074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 22, 2023, 10:12:34 PM
Sacramento Kings are 3rd in Western Conference! Just let it sink in guys because this is a real achievement from a small team that have been working hard in silence for all this years and finally they are having a great season. This small club really deserves more as we see people are back in the court when team is playing and if we take a look 2 years ago on Sacramento games , we will have saw empty seats over empty seats but it's not the case anymore.

Even if they lost last night , they still scored 127 points without having a great defense game because hey , no one is playing defense anymore this season ...

Glad to see teams like Sacramento step up it gets tiring to see the same teams at the top.  Sacramento crowd was awesome years ago when they had a competitive squad with Mike Bibby, c web, stojacovich, etc.  They have a fun team to watch but like you said zero defense.
2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge can it go 1$ on: January 21, 2023, 10:57:27 PM
the meme coin that is most likely to have a high value in the next 4 year cycle, I believe Dogecoin can be more than $ 1, therefore I have continued to buy it since last year because I believe in the Dogecoin community, which is always loyal to support it, especially since Elon is behind it

Not moving much when bitcoin did doesn't bode well for doge.  Usd of course it will go up if bitcoin does because most everything is pegged against bitcoin.  I don't think it will outperform bitcoin in the long run so I see no point in buying any at this price.
2076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Playoffs on: January 21, 2023, 10:54:52 PM
I went with the Jags with the points here as well as the kc ML.  With mahomes out (don't know if he is coming back in) could be a closer game.  And then I had to take the giants, Homer fan but they got the whole 2007 vibe going on.  In Philly is gonna be a tough game but I like theor chances.
2077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: January 21, 2023, 08:33:41 PM
Cowboys was the clear winner of the matchup last night as now the Buccs are out.
They couldn't come up with any offense in the first half with Dallas being up 18-0. Second half they managed to get something together but at that point it was too late.
It was a shame for Brady as I think father time has finally caught up with him.
I was hoping their defense would step up since I had Dak to throw an INT prop in my bet builder but their defense is just as bad and can't force a turnover.  Tongue
Looking at the games next week I might go with the Jags spread if it goes up even further. The Chiefs' offense can easily put up at least 30 points but their defense won't probably stop the Jags' offense unless Trevor Lawrence throws several picks again.
Think alot of people are going to bet on the Jaguars match or include it in their acca for this weekend.
Jags quarterback doesn't seem to nervous about facing Mahomes when he gave a reporter the other day his order from the wafflehouse he was eating at with his team mates. https://twitter.com/Jaguars/status/1615438986821918726
Interesting statistic though he is 37-0 on Saturdays:
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/18/trevor-lawrence-on-37-0-saturday-record-i-dont-really-think-about-that

Lawrence threw four interceptions in the first half which probably was a record for a post season game.
https://www.sbnation.com/2023/1/14/23555713/trevor-lawrence-interceptions-nfl-playoffs-chargers-jaguars

Jags might have that underdog feel but let's not forget that the cheifs been here plenty of times.  I actually like the cheifs in this one as the road ends for the Jags.  I'm hoping for all good games but I think this one might be the widest margin game of the weekend.
2078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 21, 2023, 08:31:27 PM
Today I got the cheifs by a field goal and the giants 27-23.  Yep I know I'm a giant fan but just feeling it.  Hurts might have healed a little more but he could do little to nothing against the giants practice squad a couple weeks ago.  Tomorrow I got the Bengals and the 49ers.  I actually thing the 9ers and cowboys game is going to be a high scoring game.  Should be a fun weekend
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 21, 2023, 03:20:14 PM

We still don't know where his son is going to play, what the rumor that we have been hearing and it seems to be true, that Lebron is going to play still and wait for his son to be drafted in the NBA so that they can make another record of father and son.

And who knows, maybe his son will be traded to the Lakers just to make his wishes come true.

There are a lot of scenarios right now, but we will have to wait. First Lebron will have to break Abdul-Jabbar's record this season, that's his motivation for sure.

He keeps doing well and I think to secure breaking that record, the team needs to extend their chance for the next round. If they will be eliminated, it might pause for a while.

Almost and if they will make it to the play in or if they will get that chance to play in the playoff
he will be able to break that record this season. We really can't accurately predict his next journey
and what he will bring to his fans.

He is only 283 points away from Jabbar, that record is gonna is going to be broke before we even break for the all star game possibly.  I think there is around 13 more games or so to the all star game.  So if Bron averages around 25 a game he will.  Never thought anyone would run down that record.  As a high level scorer Bron took 20 years with little to no injuries to break it.  He might hold this for a long time.  I could see Luka one day challenging that record if he has the length and injury free career Bron has had.  Dude can fill up a stat sheet.
2080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? on: January 20, 2023, 10:54:54 PM
right now it might seems to be the case but of course there's always possibilities that the market could turn the tides again after all we are in the middle of economic crisis in which brings so many uncertainty.
even though currently we aren't even recovering fraction of what we've lost from the previous corrections, I guess seeing the market is getting better is a relief, after all what could've been better than seeing our investments increase in value.

It will take more than a one week positive movement.  Lots of factors need to persist to start considering the bear market is over.  I can easily see this sliding right back to 17k with the slightest bad news.  Fools gold, and there will be plenty of profit taking which will apply lots of sell pressure on the price.  It's been awhile since people booked profits.  Small leg up but I expect it to dip back.
