2061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wrong? on: April 29, 2021, 04:49:29 PM
Does it matter who is wrong and who is right? Are you forgetting bitcoin is a decentralized coin? Bill Gates doesn't decide what's the future of bitcoin. Elon doesn't decide what's the future of bitcoin. They can only decide if you let them to. Bill Gates was praising bitcoin back then, and now is against bitcoin. Next day he will again do the same. If you keep on listening to them, you will just create confusion among yourself and others. You trust the system? You believe in it? Then go ahead. Invest and use it. There will always be people skeptical about new technologies.
2062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't bitcoin go up higher percentages like altcoins? on: April 29, 2021, 12:10:27 PM
Because it's not easy to "pump" the price of bitcoin like you can with altcoins. Look at the trade volume of altcoins. They are low. Low volume means, it can be easily pumped (also manipulated). But bitcoin has high trade volume. Hence, it is not as easy as you think. Too many buy and sell orders of the same volume getting completed almost instantly every second, hence making it difficult to pump it. If it pumps a lot in short term, someone will dump it to take the profit, keeping the % of increase low. Look at most of those shitty altcoins getting pumped 10x and then dumped instantly. It's a good thing bitcoin doesn't get pumped like this. Shows healthy sign of the market.
2063  Other / Archival / Re: The difference between the Martingale system and One-Time-Bet on: April 28, 2021, 10:22:43 PM
In fact, many now use the Martingale system instead of doing one stroke of luck, and the strange thing is that it is also liable to lose the same "chance" if it plays one betting with all the amount, and the question here is, why do gamblers prefer this system to a single roll?
Slows down your loss, but in the long term, you will get the same result. People think martingale will give them profit slowly. What they don't realize is that the how will always win due to the house edge. They think strategies will give them better chance of winning. Little do they know that game of chances doesn't depend on strategies. It depends on pure luck. No matter what strategy you apply, you will have the same outcome if you were playing for a long term. Martingale just gives you a chance to stop when you have made some profit. A single bet will either help you take the maximum profit or make the maximum loss.
2064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I hope others will learn from this on: April 28, 2021, 09:59:13 PM
Holding coins and tokens and not looking back until you start hearing how big crypto market is will leave you in a very bad mood, I'm sure this must have happened to some people here as well, this is my new sad story, I have some moozicore and nxps in holding and I just heard that they swapped to new coins leaving my tokens useless

MZI swapped to MZG
NXPS swapped to PUNdiX

I hope others will learn from this
Isn't that how you should be holding your coins? Invest in bitcoin, ETH and other well known coins. Keep holding. Don't think about it. Don't obsessively look at your portfolio. Don't look at the value of your portfolio. And when time comes, and the media goes crazy about the bull run, have a look at it and decide if you want to sell or not.
But this is the first time I am hearing that coin/tokens can swap to some other tokens/coins. I mean, why and how? Aren't you able to claim the new tokens as long as you hold the old one? That would be so stupid if you can't.
2065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Killed Bitcoin?? Greed? Government? Fraud? Idiocy? on: April 28, 2021, 09:13:41 PM
Lol how did you come up with all these bullshits? Lmao, I really laughed reading most of the things you just said. You should stop reading conspiracy theories. Not good for people like you. Messes with your brain.
Greed - It goes without saying that the original satoshi-btc, was about privacy, anonymity, and being your own bank. Today BTC (core old farts) have sold us out, and bent over to every request by GOV to track bitcoin, and make it into a 'chain', be your own bank my ass. Why did they sell us out, because they got rich, they were promised riches BTC to the moon, if you cooperate with the FBI, CIA, IRS, FATCA, ...
Uhh.. what? You make no sense at all. You do realize that bitcoin was always trackable? It was never meant to keep us anonymous.

But BTC is dead, its just the King of All Shit-Coins, and its utility by the people who created it, no longer need it, now they're desperate to get the other 9,000 alt-cryptos under control. The early logical move was to get all the 'sheep' in one place say 'bitcoin' that has failed, while lots of people are dumb, lots of people made side bets on real alt-privacy coins.
In the recent years the alt-privacy coins have made much more ROI than BTC, but these are things that go unsaid in the world of BTC bullshit.
Then what are you doing over here? Trying to shill for altcoins? So according to you, coins that make "much more ROI" is a good coin? Then what about those shit coins that gets manipulated and pumped 100x in a day? They all better than bitcoin?
2066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many scammers have you funded by putting your money in? on: April 28, 2021, 07:16:57 PM
I don't think there's no shame admitting that we make mistakes, that's where you learn from. Sometimes even with DYOR, legit looking projects turn out to be scams. And sometimes we just want to risk it.

During last bullrun ico frency 2017-2018 many people were saying that ICO scams are now over and next time people will be smarter. However now there are more scams then ever, especially rug pulls in uniswap and pancakeswap. We just don't call them ICOs anymore.

My failures of judgement contain 2 icos from many years ago which were obvious scams in hindsight : Swiss Alps Mining, Envion and one latest where Dev disappeared after i aped in to some BSC shittoken for the hopes of 2x-10 flip (i can't even remember the name of it).

Luckily i haven't invested anything i couldn't lose (to scams anyway), and i have even made money with investing to something that turned out to be scam later on. But still they are obviously annoying.

So i would like to hear your stories on how did you get scammed. Was it because you aped in without research or something else?
I guess most of the people are aware that the project will likely scam. They just do it because they hope that they will get rich real quick. Like you said, they take risk. They know it won't end up well in the long run. Hence they try their luck. They put some money in, hopes a hype is going to be created (and they shill for it too) and exit as soon as possible. They do succeed most of the time, while others suffer. Or sometimes, altogether everyone loses when the developer decides to make a early exist scam. People who does this actually encourages those scammers. And because of them others also fall for those scams.
2067  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Table] Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos on: April 27, 2021, 11:49:09 PM
Minimum withdrawal fees on CryptoGames has been updated. It is currently 0.0005 BTC which is ~ 27 USD. Altcoins also has the same (equivalent to 0.0005 BTC) minimum withdrawal limit.

Not to discriminate but it sucks when Withdrawal fee's on stake doesnt really change no matter what the network condition is. It do remain $10 when the network is just having $2 in maximum.
Dont have experience with other gambling sites though about having static fees but it would be good if they would always refer on having dynamics.
Having static fee is actually a very bad idea. Users should be given choice on how much they wish to pay for their withdrawal. It isn't that hard to implement something like this. I wonder why they don't do that...
2068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what you worst experience on crypto on: April 27, 2021, 11:39:47 PM
It looks like most of the peoples worst experience is getting scammed by someone or losing coins in an exchange. In case of getting scammed, it's actually your (partially) fault that you got scammed. You should have been more careful. Everyone is aware of all those common scams. You probably fell for a scam because you got greedy! Even those who lost their coins in an exchange should have known better. People keeps on warning each other about the dangers of storing coins in exchanges.
I never got scammed. My worst experience sometimes is the delay and the absurd fees that we have to pay when the network is congested.
My worst experience is storing tokens on the exchange, I have 157,000 mvl of tokens on the CoinBene exchange, which recently cost $ 10,000, but I can't withdraw them for two and a half years because the wallet is currently under maintenance . Do not keep tokens on exchanges.
You won't get it back. Probably the wallet and the project is dead. You invested on a shit coin/token.
2069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Musk doesn't tweet Dogecoin, can it still soar? on: April 27, 2021, 07:44:09 PM
Dogecoin is a coin without team and core technology, but Musk made it appear in the general public. Many people who are not cryptocurrency traders are buying Dogecoin, just like buying BTC. Why does it succeed? Is it just because of Musk? Dogira, Shibi, HOGE, who will be the next Dogecoin?

Or is there only only one unique Dogecoin?
Doge coin needs no real reason for the price to get pumped. A group of people decides to pump it, everyone will follow and do the same. The coin only needs to be "hyped" a little for it to get pumped. So if Elon doesn't tweet, someone else eventually will create a hype. This is how the coin has been forever. It gets pumped when anyone hypes it. The pump is short lived and gets dumped really quick. Don't forget, it's a "Meme" coin with no actual use case. People use it for the lulz.
Not sure what you mean by succeed. Do you think the price is the only factor that shows if a coin "succeeded" or not?
2070  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Scalping even viable in Cryptocurrencies? on: April 27, 2021, 07:29:08 PM
Hello Everyone. I currently trade on Foreign Exchange Market and my preferred style is always "Scalping" which involves fast execution, and gaining advantage from short price changes. Thus, I highly rely on technical analysis rather than fundamental. I just want to know if scalping is practical in the crypto world.
You should keep in mind that the Foreign Exchange Market and the crypto market isn't the same at all. The foreign exchange market is more stable that the of crypto market. Hence your method works better over there. The crypto market is very volatile. Not just very, extremely. You make think you bought at the lowest price, but within seconds you may see other sell orders with even lower price. There are bots that automatically grabs the lowest sell order. You may try those if you are willing to take risk. Good profit, but also comes with very high risk.
2071  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am doomed on trading on: April 27, 2021, 12:56:32 AM
After purchasing my first coin on binance. I had over $400 worth of Bitcoin. Been a single mother of one promising child I decided to trade my coin so as to afford to feed my family without touching the $400 I have been able to save over the years. Everything went smooth not until I decided to place a buy order. I have never traded before this happens to be my first experience and it turned against me. How do I cope with this and how do I feed my son?

I haven't spent enough time with binance app. I was trying to study the app when I came across the trading aspect of binance app and been so desperate to start earning so I can feed my son I had to take the risk. Currently I am doomed and I don't have a job to fall back to. I do I explain to my baby I have lost our hope of survival.

I wish I can upload my binance screenshot on the forum for proof currently I'm helpless and I need full assistance at this point. I am sorry if I am not supposed to post this on this forum. But I just have to device an alternate means to cover up my lapses before things get out of hands and beyond what I can afford to control. I wish I can get help or suggestions on how to go about this considering the fact I have gone hopeless
So you risked your (only?) money that you had on trading and lost everything? You do know the golden rule right? Trade what you can afford to lose. You couldn't afford to lose the $400, then why did you even think about trading it? Think about it as a lesson that you have learned. You paid $400 for it.
Now there is nothing you can do. Move on. Make no such mistakes in the future. Try earning back those $400. Work a little extra till you have earned those losses back.
2072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are females welcomed in gambling thread? on: April 27, 2021, 12:46:50 AM
I have been here for quite a while studying the gambling thread to understand if there are restrictions to female posters on gambling although I haven't found limitations on the forum so I guess this is inverably giving me the open slot to do my predictions and engage in spots betting as well as casino game discussions without been any form of negative trust.

I so much value my participation on the forum and I dream of utilizing this noble forum to get proper knowledge about the world that revolves around me. I believe this forum is a better avenue to explore every continent as well as the games mostly played in such areas.

Gambling most especially on casino games sych as poker, blackjack, monopoly and a few others where i would love to engage more in getting invloved in interesting thread on this area as well as create interesting thread as well . Hope I'm welcome to the world of open gambling and games discuss

It's weird that you are asking something like this. What does gender has to do with gambling? Why wouldn't females be allowed in gambling thread? How would someone even know if the original poster is a guy or a girl or some other gender?
You can open a thread (I guess this is what you meant by "slot"?) and make your own prediction. No one is going to stop you (unless you break forum rules). The worst that could happen is no would participate on your thread and it will eventually get buried. Give it a try!
2073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy Dogecoin run 100x in 2 years on: April 27, 2021, 12:19:11 AM
And it has already ended in a day. Wait for next pump. Let the price drop. Stock up as much as doge you can. Let the hype begin (or wait for Elon to say something about doge, moon, hold, bark or anything related to doge), and start selling when the price has reached its peak. And then it will drop again.
This coin has been like this forever. Dogecoin has no real use case. It's a meme coin. People pump it and then dump it. Some make huge profit, other joins the hype late (FOMO) and loses everything. Why not hold a better coin?
2074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Dogecoin still worth to invest? on: April 24, 2021, 03:57:09 PM
Dogecoin has dropped after a huge breakout. Many hk people think that the bull market of Dogecoin is over. But some people think that Dogecoin still has a chance to go up. However, there’re very few information about Dogecoin in most investing forum in hk. It’s because hk people are more keen on investing stocks and bonds. Most people in this forum are professional in investing crypto. Could you tell me whether Dogecoin still worth to invest? Or the bull market of Dogecoin is over?
You mean is the price still being pumped and manipulated? Nope, I think it's over and will slowly crash and go back to the price they used to be. A common phenomena that has been happening forever and more quite often recently. Don't invest in Dogecoin now. Quite risky. Highly likely you will lose everything if you do now since the price is slowly dropping. Wait for another trend/hype, and then invest. Or maybe invest when the price has dropped significantly and keep holding for another joke to take place.
2075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we use Bitcoin for regular transaction now? on: April 24, 2021, 12:56:47 AM
That depends on how much you can afford the fees. You think you can wait a bit longer for a  network confirmation? Then pay small transaction fee. But I have seen people complaining that paying less fee is causing their transaction to get stuck for more than few days right now! So, be prepared. If you are making a huge transaction and when comparing to the amount of fee you are going to be paying, if its negligible, then go ahead, use it.
By regular transaction, if you mean making small transaction, lets say to buy a gift card, then I doubt it's worth paying the network fee right now. Even if you pay small fees, it's not worth waiting for few days (unless you really can wait). So no, not good for regular transaction when the network load is very high.
2076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: April is the real alt season on: April 24, 2021, 12:45:06 AM
Why are people so obsessed with "altcoin season"? What actually is that? I see people saying every month that "this" month is the altcoin season. I don't think anything such as altcoin season exists. I have seen the price of altcoins being directly related to bitcoin. When bitcoin starts to rise, altcoin slowly follows. When bitcoin starts to dump, altcoins does that too. The only exception is during hypes. Trends and hypes usually causes some coins to get pumped. When trend ends, the price gets dumped. Trends are usually temporary and happens mostly with coins that you will no longer hear about lol. And yeah, there are those shit coins that get pumped and dumped regularly. Don't invest in those if you wish not to lose your life savings.
2077  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why risk management is so important for Every Trader. on: April 23, 2021, 08:22:55 PM
It is very important. Without risk management you will be "careless". And being careless never ends up being good. Trading is very risky. You can't always expect to make profit. And when you trade, you may make profit or a loss. Risk management won't increase your profit, but it will in most of the cases help you to reduce your loss. Without risk management you might lose everything you have. Risk management helps you to think about the future and what you wish to achieve. So if you don't have any risk management, it's like you don't even know what your end goal is.
2078  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoins kill Central Banks? on: April 23, 2021, 07:54:32 PM
It is not going to happen. It's never going to happen (unless a huge revolution takes place after few decades and freedom is actually a thing). Think about it. A decentralized coin taking over the central bank. A coin that government has no control over. Can you imagine that? Nope, you can't. Because the government like to keep power and control its citizen. And with the help of central banks they are even able to indirectly control bitcoin. This has both bad and good bad sides. So no, bitcoin won't kill central banks, but maybe a centralized coin controlled by the government by change how a central bank works.
2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the developments currently trending in crypto? on: April 22, 2021, 11:34:37 PM
Right now I see a lot of people who enter Crypto forums to be able to get profit through some cryptocurency.
Are virtual assets like BTC still promising even though the years have changed?
What do you mean by saying "is BTC still promising"? Lol, look at the charts. It is still dominating the crypto market. The currency is still very promising after years.  In fact it is more promising than ever since big players like Tesla and Paypal has entered the market. Hold it for long term and you will be likely be making some hefty profit.
Not sure what you mean by making profit through the forum. Are you saying are people still able to earn crypto currencies through the forum? Yes you can, but don't expect to pay your rents and bills with it. And it's very competitive.
2080  Economy / Economics / Re: First UK Bank Bans Businesses Accepting Bitcoin on: April 22, 2021, 08:01:28 PM
Came across this potentially damaging development for Bitcoin today:

https://capital.com/natwest-bans-business-cryptocurrency-transactions

NatWest, a relatively well known UK bank (out of roughly 20) has decided to ban any businesses from using its accounts for any Bitcoin related transactions. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come, if I remember correctly this bank has been caught up in a money laundering scandal in the recent past and maybe it is getting jittery - even if the general trend is towards opening up cryptocurrency related services. Banks can also be "on the hook" if companies using their facilities have not performed proper checks on their customers transactions and you could say there is a lot of hard to trace funds floating around. Do you think other banks will follow suit? If they do, will we see the Bitcoin price sink in future or can institutional money overcome these obstacles?
Ouch. That's not what we all wanted to hear right now. Any particular reason why they did this? Maybe a temporary ban or something until they come up with a better solution to integrate business that accepts bitcoin? Things doesn't sound any good right now. Even Turkey issued some sort of ban on crypto currencies recently. And here I was thinking Europe is much better and advanced when it comes to accepting new technologies. We might see a little sinking of the price which will eventually balance out. Nothing to worry about. Just one single bank can't cause a huge havoc on the price.
