2061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin WiFi T-shirt on: September 14, 2016, 10:43:53 AM
It would be really nice to buy a T-shirt that says "Bitcoin" so people would know that you do Bitcoin stuffs and also to low-key look for another person in your area that does bitcoin stuffs, too. I agree with people in here that the WiFi has nothing to do with Bitcoin. It's pretty common sense that you need WiFi in order to interact with the Bitcoin community. Maybe a simple Bitcoin logo is better.

OP hasn't been around for weeks now so I don't think this project is still ongoing. I would love to buy one, though.
2062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Italy Wants to Treat Bitcoin as Currency And Tax It on: September 14, 2016, 10:30:43 AM
Bitcoin is 100% decentralized, there's no way anyone would be able to put a tax in it. But for the sake of discussion, let's just suppose that Italy successfully have put tax in every Bitcoin user in their country. Since you're already here on the Internet, might as well find a way to hide your identity, right? It's not that hard to look for a modded elite version of Hotspot shield or maybe even buy it if you want to.
2063  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: September 14, 2016, 10:22:13 AM
~snip~
Always check the latest table for I update it once a day (sometimes even twice).

Fatanut, you made a really tiny minor mistake - for CoinMixer.se, you marked the escrow status as a simple Y, but based on previous campaigns[1], it should be bold
Code:
[b]Y[/b]
I really didn't know what to put when the escrow is just "Yes". I sort of forgot, thanks for reminding me!
I even posted it 2 days ago with
Code:
[color=orange][b]Y[/b][/color]

2064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Keep or sell? on: September 13, 2016, 11:58:32 AM
Hold as long as you can. You don't wanna die of hunger just because you held on to your Bitcoins. Keep in mind that you can't use any of your Bitcoins once you're dead. You could also just trust people in this place, it'll be very obvious if it's time to sell because threads are popping out about dumping the coins.

We haven't had any major increase ever since pre-halving. Once we had a major increase and you think that the price is starting to get down, it's time to sell your coins. Now you have some fiat, once everybody has dumped their coin and there's a major dump, then you can buy bitcoins again to get ready for the next major increase. Rinse and repeat. Wink
2065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pokemon GO and Bitcoin would be a killer combo on: September 13, 2016, 11:45:31 AM
Pokemon Go and Bitcoin would surely be a killer combo. People would be able to earn money while playing their favorite game since childhood. The only problem in this is the funds and the fact that it'll be spammed by a lot of users. Who will fund it? The PokemonGo company? I don't think so, they made this app to earn money that's why there's an in-App purchases.

Let's just say that somebody, let's call him "Mr. X", funded this project, users would surely find a trick to bug this. Even now, there's already a Bot in pokemonGo. People would just either use a Bot or a fake GPS to earn money. Mr X surely did just donated his money to whoever knows how to use a bot or a fake GPS, this people basically is everyone.
2066  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is cloud mining worth it? on: September 13, 2016, 11:22:22 AM
Cloud mining is definitely not worth it. Each and every coin that you've sent to any cloud mining site should be considered as a donation to them. Some people might have earned money out of cloud mining or HYIP sites, but that doesn't mean that cloud mining sites should have a good name. After numerous big cloud mining companies have used the "I got hacked" excuse, no HYIP site or whatnot can atone their negative name.
2067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in everyday life on: September 13, 2016, 11:18:20 AM
It would be really helpful for the majority of people to have a credit card that's for Bitcoin. Not only the consumers would be the beneficiary of this but also those companies that would implement this. If that happens, we will not need to convert our Bitcoin first into fiat before we can use in the real world.

It's quite unlikely that they will implement it right now, but we do have a certain bank which is called Security Bank that accepts cardless withdrawal using the website coins.ph. The procedure is pretty easy. The website will give you a code to withdraw the money. You will just select cardless withdrawal in the ATM and then enter the code given to you, and voila! You got your money. If most banks would level up their ATMs into something like this, not only we will be able to withdraw our coins out of an ATM but we're also not needing any card to do so.
2068  Economy / Speculation / Re: When can we expect sub $350 price? on: September 13, 2016, 11:03:42 AM
We just entered the "ber-months" and people are expected to release a huge amount of money. People will spend a lot of money especially on December. So it's pretty clear that we can't expect a 350$ range anytime soon. Maybe if 3 to 5 exchange websites gets hacked and the hackers dumped their bitcoins altogether, then 350$ will be at reach. However, that many exchange sites getting hacked consecutively just seems unrealistic.
2069  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: September 12, 2016, 11:20:10 AM
The halving is bad for miners, obviously, because halving doubles up the difficulty to mine. The halving is said that it is good for everyone because it helps the value of Bitcoin increase over time. Even though we can't just see the effect of the latest halving just yet, halving surely will have a major effect in bitcoin price years from now when the difficulty to mine is too high.
2070  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Thoughts on signature campaigns - helping or hurting? on: September 12, 2016, 10:48:24 AM
Signature campaign isn't the problem in this place. Signature campaigns actually helped us connect to legit websites and get a job to promote their website. The problem is signature spamming, people are posting 1 to 2 sentence without giving the post much thought just to get paid at the end of the week. Signature campaign is just a force that drives people to do signature spamming. I guess if the detected signature spammers get banned right away, this place will have a better discussion and people would get the fear of posting nonsense.
2071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Food industry and cryptocurrency on: September 12, 2016, 10:38:12 AM
I think OP's idea is not that far from reality. It's not that hard to make an altcoin based on how frequent a new altcoin occurs. I just don't think farmers would do such a thing because most of them and the people around them aren't into Internet things like Bitcoin. Maybe if a company like McDonald's, then the possibility is much higher. The altcoin will serve as a token to buy things.

It's a cool idea but I don't think they will fund this project. Not that much people knows about Bitcoin, let alone altcoins. And also, why do that much effort to get an altcoin just to buy your burger when you can pay directly using your fiat.
2072  Economy / Speculation / Re: We would be 1000+ if bitfinex didn't happen on: September 12, 2016, 10:32:08 AM
Let's make a timeline:
800$ range, Bitfinex got hacked price goes to 560$ range, Bitcoin didn't move that much, Bitcoin moved to 620$ (60$ difference).

Removing the Bitfinex from the set of events will result into an 800$ range, no significant movement for a while, +60$, we will be at 860$. There are flaws in this logic but you get the gist -- it will not touch 1000$ even if Bitfinex didn't get hacked. With the 800$ range, whales might have even dumped out some of their coins which would result for an even lower range. Nevertheless, none of us can do anything about these events. All we can do is wait for the next major price increase for we are all just speculators right now.
2073  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to be an escrow? on: September 12, 2016, 10:24:55 AM
To be an escrow, you have to be a known trader/buyer/seller in this forum and your trust wall will be the proof of how well did the transactions go. OP's got 3 negative feedback and 2 positive identical feedback which I think was accidentally clicked twice. People wouldn't trust you with a feedback like this. You might be a Sr. Member but what matters more is your feedback history. I suggest that OP clears his past issues and prove that he's a trustworthy member of the community.
2074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A teen is given $1K to invest into Bitcoin - what would you recommend for them? on: September 11, 2016, 12:41:37 PM
I would recommend that he just keep that 1000USD in his bitcoin wallet untouched. Leaving the coins untouched = getting the whole potential earning. All he will do is wait. In the meantime, he can focus on whatever he wants to do in his life. Let him do his thing. Once he got excellent at that thing (whatever that is), he can then withdraw the Bitcoin he has been holding for a long time. He will use that money to step up his game in whatever he has been working on.
2075  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: September 11, 2016, 12:29:54 PM
Of course, the price of Bitcoin would always matter. The inflation of Bitcoin's price is what most people are waiting for. On the other hand, plenty of people are also waiting for the price of Bitcoin to deflate. In addition, since the Bitcoin is a currency, the price of it determines its value. Too much deflation would mean that people don't value Bitcoin anymore and too much inflation would mean that the majority of people prefer Bitcoin over fiat.
2076  Other / Off-topic / Re: Average Age of Bitcoin users on: September 11, 2016, 12:27:20 PM
In my experience, most Bitcoin users that I talked to were either has the same age as me (around 18 years old) or somebody who already has a family to support. Unlike in online games, never have I seen people younger than me in this place. I might've stumbled upon some of them, but all of them are just in the newbie phase and never get out of that phase. Maybe the age has a factor that created that fact, maybe their minds aren't matured enough to understand the gist of Bitcoin.
2077  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: September 11, 2016, 08:31:26 AM
The safety of your Bitcoins would depend on how secure your account is and the bitcoin wallet website that you're using. Your coins surely will not be safe if the website that you're using is not secure in the first place.

Your password is the next thing to look at, are they secure or is it just your name + date of birth? If so, change your password immediately. A random combination of numbers and letters would be great even though it will be hard to memorize.

Do you have 2FA? If not, then activate it right away. Download Authy from PlayStore and go to your wallet website, then look for the activation of 2FA. If the wallet website doesn't have this feature, then that website surely is late with the trend. Use a different wallet website then.
2078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WORST decision about BTC on: September 11, 2016, 08:13:41 AM
The worst decision I is not buying when the price is still low bitcoin
If you don't buy right now, at this moment, you will say that exact same thing a year or two from now. That's a loop that a lot of people are stuck in. In the future, if you don't buy at that moment too, you will regret it again after a year or two.

Bitcoin's price will always increase over time because of the halving, new investors joining, more and more companies are starting to accept Bitcoin, and more and more people are starting to like using Bitcoin. So invest now, or you'll regret it again later.
2079  Other / Off-topic / Re: Save you Bitcoin for your (grand) child / children? on: September 10, 2016, 10:16:32 AM
Saving Bitcoins for the future offspring of your future offspring means that you really care about your family. You care so much that you even care about people who don't even exist yet. Saving Bitcoins right now and passing it by 2 generations will surely make your grand kids wealthy. Having money when you aren't even born yet would be a good thing. It's nice living a rich life.

But I personally wouldn't do that. Getting born with a silver spoon in your mouth just makes your entire life boring. You don't have to grind or anything because there's no point, you're already rich. I will let my grand kids experience a life with not that much money, I want them to persevere to get to the top not be on the top ever since they were born.
2080  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: September 10, 2016, 10:10:34 AM
My prediction about Bitcoin is that somebody would finally fund Bitcoin ATM which unlocks a lot of doors for us. You can easily withdraw your Bitcoins, in that note, you can also buy something easily. Having a Bitcoin ATM will attract a lot more users. More users means more investors in bitcoin, we can even get a new group of whales because of that. More investors means there will be scarcity in Bitcoin. Scarcity means increase of value in Bitcoin.
