2061  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Someone bloats the blockchain? on: October 24, 2012, 07:20:01 AM

Those are deepbit's payments to miners.
A search for the address on the forum or even google would tell you that.

I have the old satoshi client and NOWHERE it says sign message or anything similar. Do you have any other suggestion? Cheers.

Yes, update it.
2063  Other / Off-topic / Re: [SELLING] My Old Dirty Wallet.dat (Serious Bidders Please) on: October 24, 2012, 12:11:14 AM
Ok, how about someone sends me any amount of BTC and ill send them back to you.

Loup, what it means is that I am part of the bitcoin history, like a cornerstone almost. It means that when you look at the blockchain, the early links that hold the chain together were created by me. It means many other things but myopic point of view is a myopic point of view.

Just got a bid on skype for 50 BTC!

Maria Simple.

Sign a message with that address you said was yours on the other thread. No need to send you BTC.
The sign message menu is there for something, you know?

Surely George Zimmerman doesn't have a cousin in Texas, or does he?

I don't know who George Zimmerman is.

If you're going to mine on a pool you don't need the bitcoin client installed at all.
You just need to provide the pool with one address where they should send your earnings.

Trolls from that place should not be allowed to besmirch the good name of Rarity.

2072  Other / Meta / Re: Censorship on Bitcointalk on: October 22, 2012, 07:35:29 PM
You have zero evidence Rarity is a troll, only speculation.  Rarity appears to me to be a fan of Bitcoin and a long time member here who never trolled.   This "Something Awful" site is behind a paywall, the only way you could possibly see what is happening there is if you yourself are a member.

Members of that forum are trolling with Rarity as their target, and you have just revealed yourself to be one of them.

No shit, Sherlock... Roll Eyes
If it wasn't for you telling us Raize is a goon we would never suspect...

The better SA goons that actually do their own research and discovery have just accepted Bitcoin for what it is and moved on, or like me, are sometimes finding active scammers.

I love SA, been a member there for over a decade

Oh sure ... law enforcement trying to entrap someone?   Like what you see on TV?  That doesn't really happen, does it?

Hey, have you tried this RPM here: http://www.openmamba.org/distribution/distromatic.html?tag=devel&pkg=bitcoin.i586 ?
It even has links to all the dependencies RPM's, so you should be safe it runs, even if you have to install every dependency seperately.
2079  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [FREE 0.5 BTC FOR ALL] Help me find a suitable website! on: October 22, 2012, 10:54:02 AM
Hi everybody.

Are you looking to earn 0.5 BTC quickly?

You can do this right now, by helping me with a small task. I'm looking for a site where I can check whether a Moneypak card is valid or fake. I'm also looking for a site that can display the balance.

There are no tools that provide the validity and balance, so I will have to find it manually. For example, you can find a shop that accepts Moneypak. When you enter a valid code, it will say the balance of the card, and ask if the user wants to continue. If the code is not real, it will display an error.

This is the kind of website I can look for. Of course, it does not have to be a shop. I just need a way to find the validity and balance if possible.

A useful list to start looking in:
https://www.moneypak.com/WhoAccepts.aspx

Anyone who posts something that is useful earns 0.5 BTC. Good luck!

If you have paypal, go on your paypal and click on the tab send funds by moneypak.

then they ask you to write the MP# and then theyll show you how much is in it or how much $$ u want to spend

address: 1Ci1esLA72WMNYz7byFsmZvBEfA1mWvCmd

Thanks, do you know if it will block you if you put in too many bad ones, or just too many?

no idea, sorry

Can you punch in some random 14 digit numbers for a while?

I'll send the 0.5 after getting results.

That condition was not described in the OP.
He did find what you asked for. Pay up, dude.
If you get banned from Paypal for inserting too many stolen MoneyPak codes that's your problem.
2080  Other / Meta / Re: Dealing with Signature spam ? (Here's my today's irrevelant post) on: October 21, 2012, 09:31:10 PM
I think max-height: 3em should normally match 3 lines. For some reason, 4em seems to come closer to exactly three lines in this case. Might be a good idea to test in a few different browsers to make sure it's consistent. But whatever the em value is, it should automatically scale to match the overall font size in use.

3em should be 3 lines of text, the extra 1em is for the line spacing probably.

Or not... Tongue
