Probably a pretty common name?

Better watch out Gage might tie you into this somehow.  Wink

I'll do even better than that.
AndrewBUD is Phinnaeus Gage.

Just do a search for the word bud by the user Phinnaeus Gage and see how many hits you get. (hint: 73)

he was running a ponzi from day one.
I still don't believe this. He simply got in over his head, after it grew exponentially with PPT offerings.

I have to agree with bitlane. bitcoinmax was his downfall, the GLBSE PPT's not so much, as they kept his BTC supply fairly stable/predictable.

Stop it.

The question is: who are the proper authorities?
The authorities that enforce US law. (i.e. Law Enforcement / Police)

Yes, but are they proper?

Assim:
50
25
12,5
6,25
3,125
etc.

Tem umas tabelas explicando isso nessa página: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Controlled_Currency_Supply

How did people fall for this Pirate scam?

It was very easy. pirateat40 gave each one a bitcoin address and people sent their coins there.

Wink

I've always had good experiences with BitInstant, it actually surprised me to see a negative review about it (even though you obviously fixed it now :p)

Judging by your scammer tag, is a pitty your customers can's say the same about you.

You better do good on your bet, you fucker. I will not pay if you pull this shit.

Atlas? Are you threatened?

I am not your fucktarded buddy. Take a look at your bet thread and take a guess.

Taking into account that the only 2 persons who ever used the word renigging on this board were MNW himself and FreeMoney I would say you are FreeMoney. lol

2656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did I just lose $200 worth of BTC? on: August 31, 2012, 02:24:37 AM
Don't worry. No bitcoins are lost.

Go to your home dir and press CTRL+H to show hidden folders and go to the folder named .bitcoin.
IMPORTANT Take a backup of the .bitcoin folder contents to another location.
Now delete all files EXCEPT the one named wallet.dat.
Start bitcoin-qt again and see if it works.

It will download the blockchain again, so it will take time.

You sir are a fucking genius!!! Thank you so much that worked!

You didn't touch the wallet.dat file, right?
Also, it worked because you had some corrupted database files in there. You better check your filesystem for problems.
And don't forget to backup the wallet.dat file regularly to avoid losing your bitcoins Wink

Aslong as you have a file named Wallet.dat
You have not lost your coins Yet.

I was assuming he didn't mess with the datadir.

Delete EVERY file/folder in Home or JUST the hidden files?

every file/folder inside the folder called .bitcoin, except for the file named wallet.dat <--- this one has your bitcoins.
Don't forget to make a backup of the files before you delete them. Take special care of the file named wallet.dat.
