2081  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: October 18, 2014, 02:00:21 AM
Again, I'm not certain what problems you are seeing, but if I were to hazard a guess, it's P2Pool related issues ? I don't mine there, which might explain why I'm not seeing potential issues.
No, it's when all pool and network related settings rolling back to some defaults, not my settings... And I am forced to connect to 192.168.1.99 again, set my pools/workers/passwords, enable DHCP...
2082  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Antminer S1 solo mining, how? on: October 17, 2014, 04:25:46 PM

http://www.kano.is

CKPool software developed and supported by ckolivas and myself (Kano)
Cool. Please, PLEASE, make a firmware for Antminer S2, with new cgminer and FW which will save settings on reboot...

I've PMed you a couple monthes ago.
2084  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 【ACTIVE】AntMiner S2 Tech Support- 4300 units powering a stable 4Peta GHS on: October 17, 2014, 03:58:05 PM
If we OC to 1.1TH, can we still utilize the current fan and psu?
You better replace stock PSU with something like Corsair AX1200i. Sure you can use stock fans if the noise is not important for you (it will not work much louder when OCed), otherwise maybe Noctua NF-A14 PWM will be better choose. But be ready that the noise will not be reduced very much (but S2 will be quieter anyway), but the temperature will be 2-3 degrees higher.
2085  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITCRANE ANNOUNCES BITCOIN MINER T-110 (Batch II available now $1299) on: October 17, 2014, 10:06:59 AM
So what's the differense between S and simple 110? Less hashrate, less power consumption - is that all?..

p.s. oh, it should be silent now, why not cheaper?..
2086  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN‘s Liquid Cooled Miner C1: It is not only cool, but it is cool on: October 17, 2014, 09:34:26 AM
I would like to buy this, just out of curiosity, if only I could use S2 buyer's coupon...  Embarrassed

Воттафак? on: October 17, 2014, 09:09:39 AM

2090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sgminer v5 - new unified multi-algorithm on-the-fly kernel switching miner on: October 17, 2014, 04:32:18 AM
I made, and released, miners that were several times faster than the best public one for XMR. I barely got anything in donations. Making the same mistake twice is called stupidity.
If you are so mercantile, why don't you insert a liiiitle donation percent in your optimized miners? Not 5% like Claymore do. 0.5 as maximum. That's all. You have your donations, miners has their hashrates. You better look at ckolivas' behavior. He doesn't whining... But I made a donation to him for S3's cgminer update.  Roll Eyes

p.s. oh, I see, you have answered to such ideas already...
2091  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: October 17, 2014, 12:46:31 AM
Where did you see it?
2092  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN‘s Liquid Cooled Miner C1: It is not only cool, but it is cool on: October 17, 2014, 12:45:50 AM
Well, if C1 price is 1 BTC then I would like to buy S4 for 2-2.2 BTC. Bitmain?.. My coupon will burn out soon and I can't use it to buy an expensive S4...
2093  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: October 16, 2014, 04:00:41 PM
re: Issues with S2 firmware, have you considered running Kano's firmware ? I've been running it since shortly after taking delivery and haven't had any issues with my S2's.
My S2 with kano's FW doesn't save settings on reboot. If you know how to fix it - please share this knowledge with the community.

What are the problems you are seeing with your S2 ?
Hmmm... Even kano's firmware contains old cgminer (I said about settings above). Do you need any comment on it?  Roll Eyes

2095  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 【ACTIVE】AntMiner S2 Tech Support- 4300 units powering a stable 4Peta GHS on: October 16, 2014, 04:13:22 AM
My S2, overclocked to 1.1 Th running on kano's firmware, found a block. For about 2.5 monthes... If only I could know...  Undecided

I'm afraid that if I try to mine in solo now - it will not find any blocks for next 2-3 years....
2096  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S2 Setup [HD] on: October 12, 2014, 04:10:43 PM
Then why are you in the hardware subform?

Because I own a few miners from Bitmain.

2098  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BITMAIN has horrible customer service on: October 10, 2014, 07:24:26 AM
I like Bitmain, they make very reliable units. Never really had to deal with their CS, but ...
But the firmware on your S2s (if you have some) contains not up-to-date cgminer, and Bitmain only promises to correct it and provide new FW over 2 monthes already. It could not take 2 monthes!.. They just doesn't care.
2099  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BITMAIN has horrible customer service on: October 10, 2014, 03:53:11 AM
What should they write?  Chocolate Chip Cookies?

This has been discussed at length on the forum.  Bitmain is doing what they are required to.  Please stop blaming them for the shitty import rules of your godforsaken Country.

Computer hardware. Server. Home theater PC. Calculations accelerator. Anything else, not Bitcoin miner, Cryptographical equipment or something like this...
2100  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S2 Setup [HD] on: October 09, 2014, 04:22:24 PM
Well, one thing is clear - better not to buy HW from Bitmain (and mining HW at all, btw), because firmware on that HW will be buggy (as in S4), semi-tuned and will contain not up-to-date software. And they doesn't care about it - equipment is sold already, so no need to do something. Is it called "customer support"?.. Nope.
