The bulls are behind the train trying to push-start it again.

Yeah, this doesn't make sense to me. The "bulls" should already own bitcoin. And its hard to get money into the exchanges, so the "bulls" aren't buying new coins.

That's why I think this is short covering. I think shorts were taking profits as quickly as they could.

Unlike the rally last week, there is no selling pressure, no dumping. Its like the sell function on Houbi has been turned off.

About 1000BTC of shorts have covered on Finex as well but I think  a lot more of them could be covered if this continues.

It is not hard to get money to bitstamp or buy with localbitcoins for exemple

Ça suffit avec Ripple. Vous embrouillez les nouveaux pour rien.

"A River Runs Through It" is excellent
2104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Canada Exchange place? on: May 08, 2014, 11:58:18 AM
I think carvitex is the biggest one, the fees will be way cheaper than localbitcoins's or atm's

I tried morrex but the liquidity is very low there
2105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the FED already control Bitcoin? on: May 08, 2014, 11:56:51 AM
Most people at the FED don't believe in Bitcoin so don't think it is a threat, they are busy hiding the real state of the US economy

Today is the second day since I have lost 90 mBTC( milli Bitcoin) . I have not fretted much over my loss, preferring to take it more as a lesson.

Haha it is a very dramatic start

Some don't remember last time they lost 10k$ or even last time they lost 100k$, everything is relative
2107  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I have 3 Million USD to invest into Crypto Currency - How should I do it? on: May 08, 2014, 11:53:29 AM
If you want to get into mining you have to understand it is very hard to be among the best so you better invest a lot of time and get a lot of human capital to go with your 3m to be profitable

Buying bitcoins and securing them well is a good way to profit from the future adoption of Bitcoin and its development; you can invest in bitcoins websites or create one if you can as well.

Reminds me of the Concorde. When it was launched there was so much of hype and celebration. Yet, later it turned out as an expensive and environmentally harmful option. I just hope that this venture will fare better than the Concorde.

It will be a private venture compared to public investments and there has been a lot of innovation that will keep the project costs lower

You need 0.23 or you need 0.13? Either way you will use the money in your wallet so it is not a collateral

Can I suggest trying to borrow from a trusted friend or family member and next time don't drink&smoke as much, I can't help you but good luck

Quite irrelevant as he admitted he didn't understand it in the video and simply dismissed it as 'flaky'

Exactly, if you say I don't know much about it and I am 90 years old but it is dangerous, you are just trying to show you know something about when you admittedly don't
2116  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your Wish? on: May 08, 2014, 11:17:00 AM
Problem is that after one wish there is always something that goes wrong. You wish for a lot of cash - you can die next day. You wish for eternal life - you live in poverty and you are sick. You wish for love - you get it and then lose it. I am just contend I don't need to pick my wish.

Great point: Being happy with what you have now is the first step to a better life.

So maybe we should wish for being happy and to be able to appreciate the little things Wink

2 wishes so none will came true Wink

I wish to be happy
2117  Other / Off-topic / Re: Oscar Pistorius case on: May 08, 2014, 11:16:08 AM
I wouldnt expect the trial to finish any time soon. He's clearly guilty of shooting someone through a closed door without ascertaining who it was, bearing in mind his gf was no longer lying next to him. If it was anyone else they would be in jail by now. I will wait to see what the court says before passing a final judgment but his arguments are moronic.
Looks like a history of abuse, and there's a girlfriend in a locked bathroom, and a guy explaining that his logic was, "Hey, who's in the bathroom? Better fire off a few shots." Not looking good for the guy.

The defence has a few arguments but his actions defy the standard logic when he fired without knowing who was behind the door

Scam attempt, it is nice to see it wasn't successful

He has 8 positive trust ratings from untrusted members but 7 have a negative trust and one is a newbie

Unlike the rally last week, there is no selling pressure, no dumping. Its like the sell function on Houbi has been turned off.

The bulls are still buying and they are bringing new players in the market that buy as well

There are 3800 new BTC / day though

and daily exchange volume Stamp, Finex and BTCE is still over 25,000 a day.  Supply is still being absorbed.
And the numbers above ignore any off-exchange trades, such as between secondmarket and the large mining pools.

25,000 is the volume but there is a lot of pure trading and it can be manipulated

Hopefully all the BTC mined are not sold

The point is that they're trying to kick-start the train and that's not how you start a train.

Most bulls are very emotionally involved with Bitcoin
