Do you mean to QUOTE "Ex-Works"...which is "price without shipment"...price at your factory...correct...?
Yes. Arrange the shipment yourself from our DC after one day burning-in test, or from the factory after Flextronics QMS tests

Ouch guys, I was finally ready to pull the trigger on the SP10 pair, but I can't justify the $800 shipping cost. It would have been better if you'd priced the set at $8499 with $300 shipping. Too big a sticker shock for me, I ended up just letting the order expire.
Fast shipment of 2 X 14KG is expensive. We'll be happy to ship Ex-Works and charge only for the miners, not the shipping.

Amusingly, the noise level did not change much.
In quite mode, the noise happens because of the PSU firmware. We're working towards a fix with Emerson. Getting much better results with other vendor and the same vendor different model.

What are the max temperature the sp10 can operate in? I bought a AC today but it wont get installed before tomorrow. Its about 28-32 celsius in the the room. HOT!
Much higher. We've tested over 45C

Received my sp10 just now, that was fast delivery ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Thanks spondoolies! I hope you will continue in this fashion. Enjoy your miner. We're ready to support if needed.

Spondoolies-Tech, I'll suggest again to you, that, as an official representative of a commercial competitor you would be better served staying in your own thread and conducting yourselves more professionally. You are not doing yourselves any favours with this line of attack.
I'm not hiding the fact that I'm competition. I'm sharing well known data in the industry.

They also didn't answer my question about whether their VC's are getting a few hundred/thousand units to set up a private farm. Who, with cheap access to hardware, wouldn't?
No private farm

Neil you deserve that machine, your minepeon is AWESOME!
So true

For the last time: We're manufacturing of mining equipment. Not farmers. It doesn't make sense to mine in Israel - uneconomical. We're good at ASIC and board design. The operational aspects involved with large scale mining is out of our expertise.

Read it. dogie is unbiased. He tells it all, good and bad.

How about this.... you mining companies
We're not a mining company

Besides, what better marketing for more 20nm business if they can tell their other potential customers they have gotten the 20nm manufacturing time down to 8 weeks or less.
Can't be done. DPT takes time. Beside, When you go to TO you know the exact day you'll get samples. Was that date published ? Only 'Plan B' was published. Why ?
|
|
|
Maybe KnC have very good relations and they can get it faster. They do chips for 10 years. Can't be all in vain.
It was ORSoC first ASIC. They had FPGA code, ALCHIP did all the job. Relations won't help here. Double Patterning takes times. 4-5 months to samples.

Any industry data you can provide to back up this claim? The burden of proof is actually on you if you are making the claims
Common knowledge in the Silicon industry. Ask any vendor about TSMC 20nm cycle time. Dig around, it's easy to find.

From tapeout to mass production can be done within seven weeks if everything goes OK
TO - beginning of March. Tapeout to samples: 40nm, 28nm - 8 weeks 20nm - 4-5 months Prove me wrong.
