Guy,

Sorry for being an ass again but 48 hours have passed and still no reply to my e-mail.

Guy,

I have received no reply regarding the refund yet...
Please be patient. If you don't get a reply within 48 hours, ping again.

Guy

Anyway, your refund is being processed. Due to the Jewish New Year Holiday, it will take up to 7 business days for you to see the refund in your account.

Does anyone here know when SP30 September batch are supposed to be hosted or shipped?

It's almost October.  Should be called October batch instead and the October batch are really November batch in reality.   It's off by a month.

Its the same with all manurfactuers , August batch shipped around 25-28 0f aug , why would sept batch be any different.
Incorrect. We're building, testing and shipping (or hosting) each day.

...Bitmain, and they're in between batches. It shouldn't be more than a few days before the next batch is open.
I have a feeling that with current BTC price, next batch won't be open soon  Grin

But with Discuss Fish rising (bye bye Bitfury & Ghash.io) and China's economical and technological blooming, I naturally tend to believe the latest.
...
2 mistakes in one sentence. Most of BitFury own machines are currently not at Ghash.io
China won't be relevant in 2015. Way too expensive electricity and inability to compete on cutting edge ASICs technologies.

People, this thread is out of control. I'm tempted to split off about 100 pages of it for being offtopic, but the ST team have graciously allowed it so far despite it being a self moderated thread. Can we please stick to the topic as the signal to noise ratio for a spondoolies tech hardware thread is far too low and mostly speculation and scam accusations and name calling and other unrelated nonsense.  Stay on topic please. Splitting the various discussions that go on will be impossible so I'm just going to start deleting offtopic posts.

Less posts means the topic starts to float to the bottom. SP-TECH won't let that happen.

No. Our policy isn't to censor. The amount of posts I've deleted myself is practically zero.
Some people are taking advantage of it. I would prefer, very much, that the thread will remain technical.

Why do I have to wait until October? When in October (received no precise date, even)? Why is S-T planning to hold this refund for so long?

I guess I can safely say that all people which are going to receive a refund, got the same email from SPT .. (I'm part of Roadstress' GB, and got one too). That is, compensation for all the units which qualify for one is going to happen in October. 10-20 days away is not that long now.  If you wanted a coupon, you could get that as soon as they create them based on your option.
This is not a group buy but new purchase for October SP31s which I paid for a week ago (I ordered them before they were out of stock on their website).
Then I received e-mail saying that they ran out of stock for SP31s so they offered me SP35s for November instead.
I refused and requested the refund and got another mail saying that suddenly they have got SP31s in stock (allegedly magic happened and someone cancelled an order for 3 x SP31s) and if I prefer them instead of the refund. I said I won't take them now because I already cancelled the planned hosting for October.

Also, because they haven't (purposely) precised what "refund in October" means I could receive it on 31st October if they feel like it.

They can pay their compensation for my SP30s in October as they mentioned before but they should refund me my current transaction right away. Basically, last week they borrowed about 10k from me until October.
It's a great deal. Free loan with no interest and I didn't even write down the terms of a loan.
I'm probably the best bank which has ever existed.

Basically, lets face the truth. I'm dumb

I'm too tired to get all the details at this hour. but it seems like a mistake. Please emails sales@ again.

...but others (especially large operations) sell.
From my trip to China, I heard the following repeatedly:
Lots of large farms using inefficient miners, placed at 6-10 cents (or above), creating constant downward pressure on the Bitcoin price when converting daily to pay electricity bill.

Guy,

Is S-T planning to compete with Cointerra's AIRE Bitcoin Miner and release their next generation miner?
The question is unclear. As I posted few pages ago, I can't comment on Cointerra's plans due to mutual NDA between the companies.
If you're asking if we intend to release more advance products in 2015 then the answer is yes.

I've noticed a pattern, you do your catch up (and venting) usually during the weekend.

You avoid reading the forum during the week?

Can someone else who is having the SP30 hosted at Spond tell me if they have remote access to their machine?
I was always under the impression I would be able to make my own changes to pool info etc, but alas it appears that I have to use email and ask Spond techies to do it (when they can/have time/feel like it). Not the most ideal situation IMHO.

neX:)
If the customer insists, we're giving VPN and VLAN access to his/her machines. We don't monitor the machines afterwards.
Configuring remote access is an hassle for us and we try to avoid it. We don't simply do NAT forwarding, to protect other customers machines in case of unknown security breach in the firmware (eg heartbleed which we had and solved)

It's not an ideal solution.
We lack the resources to solve it in a better way (for example, cloud mirroring of the machines UI)

Guy

Spondoolies tech solved heartbleed? wow I'm impressed. Thank you for securing all ecommerce. Did the ssl developers thank you?
Probably not worth a reply, but nevertheless.
Our firmware had the heartbleed bug, due to the use of OpenSSL. I gave an example why we decided early on not to give access not through separates VLANs, in order to prevent rogue miner from taking control of the entire DC.
Change "solved" to "patched".

Happy trolling,
Guy

Hi Guy,

Could you, please let Barbara know that I'm waiting for her response about the order number #2666.
The weekend's almost up and I don't want to wait until Monday for the banks to start processing their transactions again.

Cheers,
P
It's the weekend in Israel.

Come on Guy, put everybody out of their misery by letting us know what you'll have to ship in January, or at least where you think the market will be in early 2015.
Do you want to join RawDog deal?

I'll share my predictions about the market with you afterwards.
