why is the branch address for your bank in the Czech Republic ?

Initially, we've opened an additional account in the Czech Republic, since the attitude of Israeli banks towards Bitcoin business is a bit problematic (this problem happens in other countries as well).
This is something we're working very hard to change with moderate level of success. We have two additional accounts in Israel largest banks, Poalim and Leumi.

Since we've opened the account in the Czech Republic we've discovered two additional benefits:

- BitPay can't work with Israeli account, so the Bitcoin payments are converted to Euro and sent to our account in Prague
- Faster and cheaper wire transfers from EU zone

Authorization from the bank in Prague (Česká Spořitelna, part of ERSTE Corporate Banking) about our account

I highly recommend this bank for other Bitcoin businesses. It's the second largest retail bank and the first largest corporate bank in Czech Republic.

What is the depth of the SP10 case?

475mm x 430mm x 53.63mm

"If something will happen" - it's more or less weighted binary outcome.
There is very high probability that we'll deliver on time and on spec. The project is on track, we know with very high certainty what will be the product spec and delivery time.
There is very low probability that something will go wrong. If something will go wrong, it will be a catastrophic event in which no protection in the ToS will help you. It was discussed many times in the thread before.

We're trying to be honest and open in our communications. Promising the world without real cover is simply a lie.

Not everything can be put in a contract. We intend to keep our customers happy.

So back on subject:

1. hosted SP10 will go online on 16 may?
2. When do we start to pay. Bank transfer take 2-3 days to show up...

1. I don't have anything official, but my assumption is between 15 and 17 Smiley
2. You should receive an e-mail by tomorrow max. If you don't, then either contact me or directly SP-Tech.

We'll start hosting around the 16 or a bit before, first come first serve, per our daily production and the queue.
Tomorrow is weekend in Israel, you'll get first emails on Sunday. Our sales admin was under the weather today.

Spondoolies Tech. This came up in another thread.  It is in regards to not solving enough blocks during testing.  FYI link below.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=49417.new;topicseen#new

Funny. We have less than 5 miners at our possession for SW testing now.
Unfortunately, we didn't sell enough miners to make a difference.

We're hearing other rumors about concentrated block withholds attacks on the public pools.

you only need one to test with correct?  can you explain your test cases?

Incorrect. We're doing long tests with various firmwares versions under various power consumption scenarios.
One miner is definitely not enough.

So what are the odds of the first tape out having a design flaw that will make us have to wait through a second fab?

All ready discussed at length. We'll ship on time and on spec.
1788  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ***Spondoolies Tech SP10 - Shipping May 16 - 1.5Th/s - $3,200*** on: May 07, 2014, 10:47:36 AM
You said, "Maximum number of units is 500 and the deadline is 20 May 23:59 CEST time!"

You will ship on May 16?

Spondoolies Tech will start shipping on May 16 based on the reservation queue.

When can we begin to pay (in btc)?

Once paid and should the number of units reach another level, how will you account for the difference? a refund? i.e. pay $3400 on the 15th, shipped on the 16th, 17th we reach 201 units and the price drops to $3300. $100 refund?

Let's see how the sale progress. Previous sale also had slow start and picked up speed after several days.
Your place in the shipping queue is determined by the txid.

We'll start to collect $3,200 in few days, not to delay shipping.

We're working hard to sell all August in advance.

Will post this once again: http://bitcoin.sipa.be/growth.png

With current hardware capabilities, the hash-rate growth is slowing down.
1790  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech launches a new line of ASIC miners - Best W/GH/s ratio on: May 06, 2014, 10:23:31 AM
I wouldn't recommend anyone to do a DYI immersion cooling with 3M Novec. Too complex and too dangerous.
Arguably, it might make sense on large scale.

Find cheap hosting deal instead. There are a lot of options available online. Our miners software is suitable for remote management via HTTPS.

How and when will we be able to arrange hosting for the SP30 GB units? I emailed you a few days ago but I haven't received a response.
The deal with the DC in WA state was already arranged. The units will be shipped and hosted as soon as we'll produce them in August.
Bulk shipment every day.

We're a bit overwhelmed with emails.

Edit: We'll contact all the GB customers well before August to check if they're interested in the hosting plan.

Oh and forgot to add this...

Are you sending anyone to this event to represent Spondoolies-Tech?

Gadi, Stas and Guy will be at Amsterdam. Looking forward

How does one update the SP10 to latest cgminer (4.3.2)?  Is it bundled with the firmware?
No need to manually update, it's part of the firmware

Can anyone who has a hosted unit in spondoolies datacenter tell me what his typical intake temperature is?

I am quite sure it will be better than the datacenter i am currently hosting a unit at.

22-25 degrees Celsius

Some actual customers units in the DC below

We need to update the web site to 1.5 THs

Can we run miners hosted at the Spondoolies data center in TURBO mode?
Yes

Is the SP10 May batch shipment still starting next week?

Earlier today Spondoolies said: If you'll order SP10 now, it will be shipped between May 10 and May 15

I also have orders ... so we should be smiling soon.  :-)

Good news. Does anyone know approximate cost of shipping an sp10 to the states? I couldn't seem to get this information from the website without entering complete shipping information. $4495 + shipping for 1.4th to begin mining in a couple weeks(1.5+ difficulty adjustments) sounds like a positive roi is well into the future.

Email a proof of ordering a miner from other manufacturer or us to sales@spondoolies-tech.com, and you'll get 10% coupon.
Order the 2 X SP10: http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/2-units-of-sp10-dawson-may-batch and apply the coupon
The shipping cost for two units is 386$
1797  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSED] Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order - Specs: 0.69$/GH + 0.46W/GH on: May 03, 2014, 09:01:30 PM
I am really glad to see mining companies dedicating to miners rather than trying to mine for themselves.  I of course, attribute this mostly to a depressed bitcoin price, but this depression has been really good getting people into mining.

I fear this next boom will be unstoppable Smiley.

Our choice not to self-mine is unrelated to the Bitcoin price.
We believe that self-mining by ASIC companies harms the eco-system.
1798  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech launches a new line of ASIC miners - Best W/GH/s ratio on: May 03, 2014, 07:44:10 AM
You guys have DIY kits along with your 187 gh/s chips and your third gen pickaxe ones? If you don't have the kits, how much for the chips in bulk? I'm thinking around 10-1000 chips. Could you pm me the price for em? Thanks.

RockerBox (our 2nd gen ASIC) brief is attached: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c65ebuvoh5sek2f/rockerbox_brief.pdf
We're TO in a week. The following data is based on final postLO Engine results:

Voltage                                      0.63 V
Total Engines                              193
Max frequency at TT corner           984 MHz
Performance                               190 GHs
Power                                        66 W
Power/performance                      0.35 W/GHs

(At the SP30 system level we're at 0.43 W/GHs)

We don't have DIY kits. Please contact sales@spondoolies-tech.com for ASIC or SP30 boards bulk purchases.
We'll release SP30 files to allow quick custom development.

PickAxe (our 3rd gen ASIC) is still in development. It will be available in Q4. Our design goals are much more aggressive than RockerBox.

I contacted spondoolies regarding my view on the groupbuy vs early bundle offer and they have worked with me to make me happy.

Please excuse my cluttering of the thread with arguments, i felt very strongly about the topic at the time.

I think the guys at spondoolies are very sensible and hard-working, having the satisfaction of every customer in their minds.

Thank you for your kind words.
We're trying our best.

You are welcome to follow this thread, then , and get updated.

Thanks, I do understand the site's mechanics. I have loosely followed this thread, but not having seen a direct answer to my question I chose to inquire. Somebody mentioned a gen 3 product as the point in which spondoolies will hopefully provide in hand equipment rather than pre-order or built to order gear, I'll check back at that time.

What question wasn't answered ?

If you'll order SP10 now, it will be shipped between May 10 and May 15
Apply for 10% coupon (show a previous order from other manufacturer or even us) by email sales@spondoolies-tech.com
You can get ~3TH/s in less than two weeks for $7,200: http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/2-units-of-sp10-dawson-may-batch
It's 2.4$/GHs for the most efficient machine in the market.
