I have always had a soft spot for the 928s but don’t know a lot about them. What does the S4 badge mean?
S4 is the later model 928 from 87 onward. 32 valve engine, bigger brakes, really nice performance, more creature comforts. The 4 refers to 4 valves per cylinder. It does have a lot of pick up from 4,000 to redline.

And rather inexpensive since it's not a 911 (which really is a rickety car) however parts, fit, and finish were all top line quality (expensive to maintain).

(Edited slightly)

let me just HODL and when there are oppertunitie's increase the BTC stack size , nothing more nothing less

Some-time, mid-2022-ish, we should find some ludicrously overpriced private-location, and host a massive WO-party, only accessible by private jet.

EDIT: Helicopter access will also be an acceptable alternative for party-travel.
Sure, keep me on the list. I might need a head start since I'll take the turbo-prop....

Right. It was overflowing the buffers, and no amount of coding fixed it. Finally figured out why while working on the GarlicCoin thing.

N=11 though.... works.

Also sold to pick up a Porsche, but that's about it.

What did you get if you don’t mind my asking?  I keep looking at the used ads but I’m not pulling the trigger yet.
Late model 928S4 (91). It's a pretty good car, complex but still fix-able if you know what you're doing. Good 340 or so HP, so enough to get underway and reasonably priced. Excellent suspension for the turns, and at 100mph it cruises on the highway well.

With these super low prices we may need to shut down the blockchain.

Fortunately they released Satoshi's alert key.

Time to trigger the shutdown switch? Or might things turn around?

I'm scared.

Help.
Here is the message that should be sent out using the emergency Satoshi key:

HODL!!!

Pretty much. I've sold a bit to cover business expenses, shipping, and of course my new flamethrower (every bitcoin company needs a flamethrower and this is fucking amazing!). Also sold to pick up a Porsche, but that's about it.

And sold a few at 1200 to trade for gold, worst idea ever but hey them's the breaks. So you sell it when you need to and don't go bananas about it.

Meantime I'm off to Vegas and to test drive some Lambos. Anyone else out there this coming week?

I doubt that peeps in the mood, currently, to talk about lambos.
True, however I did buy the Porsche (an older one, so not that much B) at 2k a bitcoin, so there is that. Felt a bit dumb with it hit 19k, would still like it a bit more than 7.

Maybe when it hits 20k again. Meantime got to plan and prepare for these sorts of things, they can happen quickly.

Eh, you sell it when you need it. Not before. Happy 21k posts everyone!

Bought bitcoin at $370.

Didn't sell at $1200 top. Also didn't sell at $19K top.

*Looks at current price*

#stillfuckingwinning

Will still buy bitcoin today and in the future

Hi all,

Has anyone found were the temperature circuit is at?

Thanks in advance

Not sure if there is one. I think the software reads the temps on the chips and reports the high chip or something.

I like this pool because it was the only one where you got the payouts with no input addresses even if you have small hashpower.

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/af670170a853e4247ea9fe8e9074e7c12a123bc430ff83509ddebb959425c9c9

a tx with "No Inputs (Newly Generated Coins)" leads to untainted coins.

but if I be the only miner on this pool then I can go for solomining too
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. p2pool would do it as well, that's why I mined both eligus and p2pool.

Sadly though I think this pool is dead and my shelved shares are forever on the mighty shelf. So it goes.

Rose:

Who gives a fuck?

Well, there seems to me be some weak sort of correlation between what shitcoins do and what we do, and when. Whales jerking off in the ocean, and all that. Idk. Giving a fuck is a sliding scale.
True, there are different kinds of fucks. So this is more of an SAE fuck as opposed to a metric fuck.

Waiting for it to go over 9,000.....

But that's impossible.
2134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 24, 2018, 11:56:48 AM
Indeed. I woke up early this morning, watched the buy/sell right around 8,000 (with a 8 coin wall to boot) then fell asleep. Open my eyes again, more money!

I like this.

Damn dude, everyone knows redheads are serious trouble. Sure they're hot, but my insurance agent warned me that my rates would go up if I continued doing a redhead....
2136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modifying KNC Titans To Work with Scrypt N=20 on: July 20, 2018, 01:47:29 AM
Yours for better science. However at N=20, mining with anything less than a 8gb video card is kind of pointless.
2137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modifying KNC Titans To Work with Scrypt N=20 on: July 19, 2018, 10:24:24 PM
Hi!

I tried to do this. The short answer is no.

The longer answer I found after dealing with the GarlicCoin insanity: Titans can handle larger N factors because they have memory on each cell processor, that's why the chips are so damn big. An increase in N factor means that you either need memory or CPU to work. N=10 works super fast on Titans not just because the chips are fast (they really are only about the speed of Neptunes) but because they have so much memory per cell they can use that to speed up.

When you go to N=11, you need more memory so it slows down. By N=16 the speed of the Titan is about the speed of a 8gb graphics card. By N=17, a 4gb card. By N=19 you need too much memory to do the work, and thus N=20 can't be done on chip.

Which moots the whole thing. Even if you could, a 2gb graphics card would probably outrun you.

USA intelligence is the thing you distrust the most of anything.

No, I distrust Putin more than the USA intelligence. Just move the White House to Moscow already.
Don't worry, I'm sure the KGB will send over election "observers" to help out in November.....
2139  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Attic Exhausting on: July 17, 2018, 02:21:29 AM
Just stick them in a window, exhaust pointing out. 100% dump heat outside and if you run AC inside you should be good.

I do this with 6 old Titans, works fine.
2140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 11, 2018, 04:46:28 PM
OMG it went to 70 on BTCe (on this documentary). You can see who owns Lambos now.

Man this really put the "waaah, it's stuck at 6,000" in perspective. If you could have told these guys that people would bitch about 6k they would be too busy burning down the town with joy.......

Edit: Now they are singing the Bitcoin song. Fuck were we that bad?

Yep.
