Wolves have sacked manager Bruno Lage as a result of a disappointing start to the season. I think he was well deservedly fired. What makes this man think he is going to get results by selling all his defenders? After losing four out of eight games this season, Wolves placed 18th with just six points.
Well i guess we could say it was coming, Wolves have been utterly disappointing this season, and sometimes it is not just about losing, but how you lose, they have been playing like a team that would struggle to win any game, so it is pretty much better a change occurs now, so the club can try a new manager and see if they will do much better, out of 8 games, they have lost 4, won 1 and drawn 3, and they have a -6 GD on the table, definitely a change was needed.

Having said that, i think this makes Bruno Lage the third manager in the EPL to be fired this season, after the dismissal of Scott Parker of Bournemouth and Thomas Tuchel of Chelsea, so who is next? My mind tells me it is Brendan Rodgers of Leicester City, who currently has his team stuck in rock bottom.
2122  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: October 03, 2022, 04:34:54 PM
My pipo I greet una. Abeg I wan ask this question wey dey my mind. Between our local P2P(the one wey we dey run with our paddy wey we know dey into buying and selling of biticon and other cryptocurrency) and using the P2P trade option for Binance, Remitano or Paxful, or any other exchange which one we feel say dey better? In terms of convenience, security and assurance, user experience?
It depends on you the user, many things are to be put into consideration, things like anonymity, security, rates, speed and a lot of other things, you can even use the both of them, what i mean is, you can trade with a local P2P vendor on some days and use an exchange P2P option on some other days, depending on your mood that day and what you are actually looking for.

Having said that, the first thing is if the vendor is trusted (the issue of security), that is only when the comparison can start, thus if you have a trusted local vendor you can decide between using either of the option based on some reasons like:
1)Rates, i think exchange p2p option offers better rates that most local P2P vendors, i stand to be corrected, but from my experience i think i am correct.
2)Speed, on this very one, i still think exchange P2P option is as well faster, most times you can reach out to your local vendor either on whatsapp or whatever platform you communicate in, and they are either busy with something else and cannot attend to you at the moment. Or for some of them that aren't so big, you'll have to wait some minutes for them to trade what you sent to them, before you either get your cash or crypto, because they do not always have it regularly available.
3)Anonymity/privacy, submitting KYC documents on exchanges is a no-no for some people, so if you are that person who doesn't want to do that, you should stick with your local P2P vendor, at least chatting the person over TG or Whatsapp somewhat protects your identity, or else you decide to reveal it to the vendor, so in this case, i guess you local vendor might be a much better option in terms of privacy/anonymity.
4)Supporting a friend or brothers business, if your friend or colleague prolly sells and buys cryptocurrency, you can look above all the cons and stick with trading with them, afterall them they talk say we rise by lifting others.
2123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's alright to lose and learn on: October 03, 2022, 03:38:41 PM
Of course learning from a mistake is good, it is more like making the most out of an already bad situation, but you know it's pretty much better if you had learnt without making that mistake, that way you'd still have learnt, but the difference is you'd not have suffered any loss in the process, but i guess it is what it is.

Having said that, i think it has become quite common for newcomers to learn the hard way, whilst i feel sorry for their losses, i think most of these losses were simply self induced, and if quite a lot of them hadn't thought about cryptocurrency as a get-rich-quck scheme i'm pretty sure they wouldn't have had to endure losses in their learning process. Well i hope you've truly learnt your lessons because in this network people hardly do that, there are investors who jump on every new project and investment, despite the fact that they have lost so much money to pump and dump coins, but they still jump an any new one that's released, just blatant rinse and repeat.
2124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 02, 2022, 09:38:49 PM
Everyone is talking about the goals scored by some players. Yes, this is one of the things to talk about. But I want to talk about the state of Manchester United. They make Manchester United look like a small team. Who is behind this failure? Was it Ferguson who kept this team at the top? The other team may be stronger than you, but you are Manchester United. Yes, you can be defeated, but you can't be defeated like this. If they continue to be defeated in this way, the greatness of the Manchester United name will disappear. And this is very sad for me.
Well Manchester United have had quite a lot of embarrassing results in the past couple of years, they were indeed humilated today, but tbh many of their fans have seen many days like this in recent years and they'll prolly not be too surprised, the real disappointment today is that they came into this game on the back of some pretty decent results, and it looked like they were resurgent under their new manager, and ready to go toe to toe with any team, but i guess City brought them back to reality.

Having said that, i don't quite understand why you mentioned Fergie in your post, he has nothing to do with what the state of the club is at the moment, he gave them all of his best, and i know when a great manager leaves a team, the club struggles quite a lot, but in this case with United that struggle has lasted too long, they have tried too many managers afterwards and nothing seems to be working, it somewhat feels like Manchester United will never return to their elite status in English football.
2125  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The most ridiculous rules for female teachers on: October 02, 2022, 05:48:51 AM
Well that was in the past, and no set of rules like this exists for female teachers anymore, i know that in some places of the world women are still restricted by rules (not the ones listed in the OP), but these sort of places/areas are quite few, and sooner rather than later those restrictions will be squashed. Having said that, i think the feminist movement from all over the world has come a long way in providing awareness and ensuring that women are treated somewhat equally, right now women are leaders in different departments in schools and even in government, thus these days i don't hear or see too many complaints from women being unfairly treated at work or social gatherings.

I just don't like Tottenham's style of play. They are very good in attack against teams like leicester, southampton or fulham but against teams like arsenal or chelsea or teams that attack often you can see during the season that they often "park the bus" at 5-4-1. it's just my opinion
I second that, Conte really has to rethink his footballing philosophies, he has quality players in his team, for how long will he continue to limit them, he is killing their confidence, take a look at Son for example, a very exciting player that loves to be on the front foot, now limited to getting behind the ball throughout the game and only hoping for a counter attack to show his quality. Arsenal put them to the sword today because they had the confidence, believe and freedom to express themselves on the field; Spurs are definitely not winning the league playing the way they did today, and if they are to adopt this strategy for the long term, they'd prolly start to lose players that hate to be absolutely restricted by their manager.
2128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: determine a good project on: October 01, 2022, 08:49:55 PM
In the current bear market conditions, we can see which projects are able to survive and maximize the coins that have been launched without losing their value.  Usually their strong team and developers are able to deal with any situation by carrying out marketing strategies or promoting coins that have been created so as not to lose the interest of investors and trading activities in them will not die.  what do you think about the benefits of a bear market besides taking the opportunity to make a purchase?
Mind you that you can't see which project will survive and which will go extinct, it is extremely difficult to do that, there are quite a lot of altcoins, many of which are pump and dump coins and scam coins, imo, i take most, if not all altcoins to be short term projects that shouldn't be held for the long term.

Having said that, there have been numerous projects in the past with the so called strong team and developers, but those projects are dead as i write this, if a project has an actual utility, the developers wouldn't have to continually promote it to investors, if the project is good, its community of investors will grow effortlessly, but projects that are hyped to investors can't last for the long term. In a bear market, patience is required, but with the right coin like Bitcoin, and then with a strategy for accumulation you'd have a good porfolio when the bull run comes, coupled with good ROI.

I'm sorry to hijack the thread, but I was wondering.
You are welcome here, and your questions are too, anytime, you aren't hijacking the thread in any way with these questions.
Which crypto exchange is the most popular in Nigeria?
The most popular crypto exchange in Nigeria is obviously Binance
What's the preferred exchange method?
If you do not know, our government has banned our commercial banks from facilitating cryptocurrency transactions directly from exchanges, so our most preferred method of exchange is P2P.
What are the FEEs they are taking from you?
Since we use P2P we do not pay any fees for it.

Are you guys still doubting the title credentials/potentials of the gunners, quite a lot of people thought they were definitely going down this weekend, and that they would prolly struggle to even get a point from the North London Derby, but can we talk about that performance from Arsenal, complete dominance from start to finish, except for a short time after Spurs got the equalizer in the first half.

Having said that, Arsenal are brimming with absolute confidence, they are playing like they know they can challenge for the title this season, and tbh i think they can. Conte needs to take a look at his tactics of basically parking the bus and hitting on the counter attack, it prolly works sometimes, but when you come up against a good team that can move the ball well, you'd definitely struggle, and again Spurs have the quality of players that should be coming out to dominate games, not sitting back for most of it.

Well, Arsenal are top of the table for another weekend, how long will it last!
2131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 30, 2022, 11:55:15 AM
James Maddison and Youri Tielemans both are under their radar at the moment. As Leicester are having a terrible season and under the threat of relegation, Newcastle must be thinking that it would be easier for them to convince them. However I'm pretty confident that there would be some bigger teams to try to sign them as well.
Those are two very talented players, and with the current situation in their club it would make sense to believe that sooner rather than later they might prolly leave for another club, if true then it is smart for Newcastle to be monitoring their situation, like you said there would prolly be other clubs doing the same thing, but Newcastle can prolly give them a big contract to further convince them to make the switch to the St James' park, we'd see how things pan out.

Having said that, another thing is that even if these players would leave, i doubt it'd be in January, it would prolly be by the next summer transfer window, but despite that, it still makes sense to start putting plans in place, that's how club's with a vision operate, they look at the long term and start making purposeful plans.

Sha all na win for African but you think say Ghana fit overthrown Nigeria for the cryptocurrency industry? No dey biased oh una well-done.
As i bin they read your post, na this bolded part been they my mind to comment on, thank God say you touch on am, imo i don't see anything bad if Ghana come up wella for crypto adoption, i no know if i go like make them overtake Naija for that aspect, but if their numbers do go up, it is not only good for Africa, but for the crypto network generally.

Having said that, i don't think competition in these sort of things is bad for the leading country, it is a healthy competition, and wetin e show be say people don they enter the network, e choke, lol. If Ghana catch up with Nigeria based on that way, e no bad at all, network go they grow, same with the respective countries, all the better.

The problem is that Mbappe has got a taste of higher power. It will be really hard for him to let it go. I am quite sure that if he does go to Real Madrid he will have to take a pay cut. I am also not sure that he is going to agree to that as well. But right now I don't believe that going to Real Madrid is a necessity for him. Because PSG is doing quite well right now. The team is performing well together and under the authority of the new coach, they are performing well. But if this time they cannot win the Champions League title I think not only him but also other players like Neymar and Messi also will take moving into serious consideration.
Mbappe is committed to PSG, and i expect him to see out his contract with them. Real Madrid really wanted him and at one point it looked like they were going to get their desired man, but after quite a lot of pressure from some prominent people in France, Mbappe accepted to stay, and according to rumors he was rewarded with a big role in the club, asides his role/job on the pitch. Florentino Perez openly criticized PSG as a club as well as Mbappe, i don't know if he will still be interested in him in the future, after all that furore.

Having said that, as for Messi and Neymar leaving PSG if they don't win the Champions League this season, i don't think so, the both of them are former CL winners, and if they are to leave PSG, it will be for other reasons and not a failure to win the CL, they also have a huge wage/salary, and are both above 30, definitely it would prolly be impossible to get a club that will maintain that salary structure, except they willingly take paycuts.
2134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 29, 2022, 08:11:07 PM
The bigger they become the better they will be and that’s going to really impact the way they get players and get better as well. So, these type of games are a must win for them, there is no way they could afford to lose this game and needs to win for sure.
Of course they want to win, but so do Fulham too, Grin and this season when it comes to winning games, Fulham know how to do it better than them, thus far at least. That isn't to say that Fulham are going to win, but it is an open game, there are no favorites imo, and my prediction for this game is a draw, i don't think a winner will emerge, if my prediction happens then Newcastle would have drawn 6 games this season already,  Cheesy that wouldn't be how they expected to start their season.

Having said that, i second it when you say Newcastle will continue to get better, yes they will, as long as their current owners remain, for now they'll not be able to allure really top quality players, for now they can only get decent players, but the better they get and higher they go, coupled with huge investments coming from the owners, in some years to come they might start alluring top players to their club.
2135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 29, 2022, 03:18:40 PM
Fulham will face an opponent who is in their 5 matches without a win, Newcastle. This should be a match that Fulham can win if you look at the trend of this opponent. Another advantage is that they will play this match at their own home which will make Fulham more confident in front of their own supporters. Fulham themselves have not been consistent and they have had ups and downs in every game, but this week it looks like they will give me the advantage.
I don't think either of the teams has any advantage in this match, it is anybody's to lose, and win too. Fulham themselves haven't done that much better than Newcastle this season, though they have won more games, but if you look at the difference in points, you'd see it is just three points between the two teams, and despite the fact that Newcastle have only won once this season, they have also lost only once and drawn all of the remaining five games, picking up a point in each of them. Whilst Fulham have won thrice, drawn twice and lost twice too, that's 11 points in total for them, while Newcastle have 8 points for themselves.

Having said that, it is going to be a good one to watch, Fulham have a striker that is in very fine form and that's Mitrovic, he would definitely cause Newcastle quite a lot of problems, but if you ask me, i think the game has the feeling of a draw written all over it.
2136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 28, 2022, 09:26:43 PM
I personally would be pleased if Arsenal could at least return some revenge on Tottenham, and I would prefer it if they did it shamefully with a score of 4-0, if that would be possible.
Lol, that sort of scoreline isn't possible, this is a North London Derby, and the two of them are currently in good form, so i'd expect the game to be very close, it would prolly be decided on fine margins.
The goals should come after halftime, but I'm not sure if Arsenal can wear down Tottenham players that much and keep them on edge, given that they have never previously defeated Tottenham, but perhaps this time they can.
What exactly do you mean by Arsenal haven't defeated Spurs previously, could that prolly be a typo/mistake or what, Arsenal have beaten Spurs more times than they have lost to them, the records are there for you to check.
2137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do Your Own Research - What Does it really mean on: September 28, 2022, 05:47:26 PM
Though DYOR has become a crypto slang but it's the most necessary thing to make profit in crypto. But we have to learn the proper way about researching any project. We should follow all their activities, team works and roadmap to judge a project properly.
Doing your own research doesn't mean you will make profit. The particular coin/project you are doing your research on is absolutely important, you can follow the 'activities', 'team work' and 'roadmap' of a worthless/pump and dump coin/project all you want, and even if it prolly looked good at the beginning of your research, that won't stop the coin from dumping sooner rather than later, because that is what pump and dump coins do. Thus imo, first things first is to do a mini research about coins that are sustainable/long term, before selecting and then doing your full research on it before investing.
2138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 28, 2022, 05:20:57 PM
Using the most energy at the start of the season is not a problem, but maintaining the tempo for a longer period of time is, and this is where Manchester City edges out Arsenal.
I might have to agree with you on this point, i mean, we have known City to be very consistent in the Premier League, especially when they find themselves in a winning streak, they usually run away with the title in situations like that, except for the fact that Liverpool are always breathing down their necks, but lucky City, this season Liverpool are yet to show up, and before they prolly do City might already have run clear of them.

Having said that, i think all City fans would be happy with a title battle with Arsenal, we will be very confident that the North London side wouldn't be able to keep up with us, and sooner rather than later, it would be our title to lose. But we'd have to wait and see how things pan out with other teams, like you said, Spurs look dangerous, and Manchester United are resurgent. Grin
2139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 27, 2022, 09:51:18 PM
I mean, being top of the league doesn't always make one better than the other; since the beginning of the season, Manchester has only dropped two points in a game they played well but were unlucky not to pick up the full points, and since then they have been riding every fixture with a big goal margin, whereas Arsenal's early fixtures were somehow better than the other top four teams' fixtures and they struggle in most of these games but were lucky enough to get result.  Angry
I have watched all City's games this season, i don't know if you know, but i am a City supporter, and i can tell you categorically that we haven't been at our fluid best in many games in the Premier League this season, our outstanding games were against West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth, but you see our games against teams like Newcastle were we had to come from two goals down to get a 3-3 draw, mind you that Newcastle were somewhat the better team that day, or against Crystal Palace were we had to come back from two goals down to win 4-2, we had a pretty bad first half, but an excellent second half.

Having said that, the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa wasn't impressive too, City struggled quite a lot in that game, and even in our last outing against Wolves, for someone who didn't watch the game, you could prolly think since the scoreline was 3-0 in favor of City, that they dominated the game, but no, City were sluggish throughout that game, and we were lucky to score three goals without having to be on our best form. So my point is basically that City haven't really been excellent as you think, and they have also had their own fair share of luck like Arsenal, prolly even more, thus i think Arsenal might actually be the best team thus far in the league, but it might not last too long.
2140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 27, 2022, 04:54:41 PM
Perhaps this week of interest is Man United against Man City. If you compare Man City and Arsenal, it is certainly different. I think Man City is stronger at the moment.
Is City really stronger than Arsenal at the moment, i mean, Arsenal are on top of the table, so doesn't that technically mean that they are the best team thus far this season, i don't mean they have a better squad/players than City, of course not, City has a better group of players than Arsenal, but i think right now in the premier league, Arsenal are the best team, at least until they relinquish their League Leader position.

Having said that, it doesn't mean Manchester United are going to beat City, i don't think that's going to happen, imo City are the favorites, but games after the international break is usually tricky, a lot will depend on how the players return, coupled with those that will return with injuries, so i will be waiting a little longer to give my final predictation on this game, i think the players will return to their respective clubs tomorrow and begin training as soon as possible, then i'd be able to give my thoughts on this one.
