2121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What holds you back from investing in Altcoins ? on: March 15, 2023, 04:33:52 PM
-cut-
I am sorry but bitcoin was a dollar, and now it is over 25k, do you really think that the coin you are trying to shill could end up with 25k+ increase? I really do not think so, it's impossible. This is why it's hard to take them seriously as well.
I have invested twice in 2 different projects that made me over 1000x, and several times to projects that have made over 100x. Some of them actually paid 50x my investment back just with free airdrops later on. Those add up.

While it's given that you would have to find right ones and most of them are just going to ground, you most definitely can hit gold with those. Comparing them to eth and btc is a pipe dream, but sometimes it's better to gamble and buy some low caps. I speak it from experience from someone who has missed some serious boats and stiil found new ones.

I made most of my money from selling pumped coins that don't exist any more but also sold my eth when it was $12 because i listened to bitcoin maxis and thought it was overpriced and bnb when it was around $1 so i know something about regret.
2122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still a good invest? on: March 15, 2023, 04:24:21 PM
Do you think that meme coins still have a chance to do well in the next bull market? Would you still invest on projects like shiba inu and floki inu.
Short answer: Definitely yes. Most of the smaller ones die and rug though.

And i wouldn't recommend anyone buying shiba or doge, you can just watch the chart history and make your own conclusions. They pump with the other market. In fact some of them could pre-pump before altseason, and by doing so sort of signaling the altseaseon is near. People saying that those would die don't understand the power of memes.

Young people invest in something exciting and in something suits won't. Not in boomer stocks just because they have "real value". Some see even btc as a boring boomercoin. And there's ton of trend makers in youngsters and lots and lots of stupid money from rich kids.
2123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A new fan token to make your dreams come true! on: March 14, 2023, 09:17:21 PM
So your dream is to make token named after a serial killer to rise in charts so that you would get money? Starting with a sob story is begging and against forum rules. Also what's wrong with you? That guy is already too famous, and every time someone speaks his name he gets what he wanted; a legacy.

Don't give it to him.
2124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Shouldn’t Regulate Crypto Stablecoins, Says Circle CEO on: March 14, 2023, 09:09:21 PM
-cut-
The SEC claims all crypto assets other than bitcoin are securities. Circle's CEO claims that they should be regulated under the banking industry or congress. And that Congress must officially label assets securities before they can be treated as such.

There is a long story and history behind all of these events. Currently the united states has proposals on the table to expand the powers of the SEC and grant it greater authority.

BTW does anyone remember who circle is said to function as a subsidiary of?
I refuse to think that in SEC they wouldn't understand how anything works so i am assuming that at some point someone misunderstood something and printed it out. Because what logic that even has? Do they mean all the coins that had an ICO or sale and do they think that every coin out there but bitcoin had a sale at some point?

I am baffled about this and would like to read from an actual source rather then outbursts from annoyed exchange ceos because nothing on this doesn't make any sense.
2125  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. Lawmakers Reintroduce Bill to Force Crypto Miners to Disclose Emissions on: March 14, 2023, 09:02:51 PM

Banks use 56 times more energy than Bitcoin energy consumption.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/why-banking-uses-at-least-56-times-more-energy-than-bitcoin/amp
Wouldn't it makes sense that this wouldn't affect only to crypto and every energy user out there would need to disclose emissions? I honestly don't understand why this wouldn't be counted directly to the electricity bill so it would affect everyone. It's just weird and most likely unconstitutional if some activities are targetted and some not because made up reasons.
2126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NYAG declares ETH as a Security on: March 14, 2023, 08:32:06 PM
Does it matter what grading the coin is? In other words, if Bitcoin were classified as valueless, would this make a difference?
The real problem with Ethereum is the centralization of the network at some point, as long as there is centralization then the government can make changes such as banning people from using it and so on.
But personally, I don't really care about classifing.
Oh it matters. Like ton of investors and devs would avoid participating in the ethereum ecosystem and by doing so would reduce liquidity.
And most likely only biggest most regulated exchanges could even list it. Reducing the number significally.

Developers would think twice using it as a platform, and if eth is security, how layer 2 tokens wouldn't be as they are part of the same system? And it would be just a matter of time until this would affect on every coin and token out there. And that's probably only a surface as i am not an expert.
2127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoGPT on: March 14, 2023, 07:05:13 PM
Be careful investing your money on any project that has GPT add to it's name, some are half backed and others are completely scam projects, I invested in one openai and I got scammed, I bought the tokens on BSC and I was unable to sell later, I later found out that no one was able to sell their tokens on the open market.

Well sadly it's most likely bouncing soon as investors are idiots and there's GPT-4 openai developer livestream staring in 1 hour.
This version will most likely create insane hype and people will buy in to every AI altcoin out there, and having a GTP in the name helps.
Even if Generative Pretrained Transformer as a concept isn't exclusive to openai
2128  Economy / Economics / Re: How SVB fall going to affect bitcoin, crypto in general? on: March 14, 2023, 06:58:09 PM
Some people say it's not gonna affect bitcoin price because the fallen banks were only bitcoin supports. But USDC was also having big stash of cash in these banks.
I am still looking for a clear idea of what it's really gonna be
Regulators already promised to bail out customers. So it's not going to affect anything. Except panic sales all over the board that could technically unpeg the coin a lot temporarily. Also there's a problem if enough people cash out fast, because the possible lack of reserves. That would be a bigger problem.

Moreover, they also tweeted about their upcoming new features that include NFTs Staking within their platform that I haven't seen in another platform yet, such a WoW for me personally.
-cut-
So this feature exists already?

I've just seen one other Solana based casino planning for such feature and thought it would be original. I guess they got their idea from here.
They also don't have any sports and seem to be focusing on using the meme/SPL tokens. So i definitely check this out to see how far this is ahead.

But in this casino you need to connect your wallet it seems. I am uncertain if that's a good or a bad thing. What's the catch on that? In most casinos i have played you don't need to do that.
2130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A guy traded worth $2M of crypto for $0.05 USDT on: March 14, 2023, 03:06:15 PM
I don’t understand how he could be so dumb. What an awful mistake, I hope he can recover mentally from tgis if it was a large % of his net worth. It’s such a schoolboy error, I just can’t fathom how somebody could make a mistake like that, even under pressure.

Always be of clear mind when transacting with large amounts of money. Ignore market noise, volatility & execute orders confidently.

Once again I hope this guy is OK.
You don't need to even be dumb to make a mistake. Everyone does mistakes. And this is the main issue that has been in between governments and blockchain adoption. The fact that people are responsible for their own wallets doesn't sit well with regulations in where you can't "lose" money or take it from someone because they made a technical error.

There's a reason why same self-responsibility idea is not applied to elsewhere in the net, because if people would be responsible of their own data. Hacking accounts would be semi-legal because you would be solely responsible of your security anyway.
2131  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which is more paying? on: March 14, 2023, 02:49:59 PM
A Bitcointalk forum or a White-Collar job?
On this day I and my friends had a lengthy discussion on this case, and many ideas were coming up in the course of the discussion. Also, I noticed that a few of my friends do not believe in all these online jobs and they were throwing hotful words about they said a Government job is more 10x better than this nonsense forum you have been talking about all day they also call me a fool and I told them I know they are more things in this so-called government job like retirement pay and all that, but I said to them this forum is 100x better than that white collar job and also told them about Bounty and Signature and one can learn about crypto trading and I told them sometimes is not about the money is what we gain in the future form this forum, and I also told them that almost all the retired people I no today have nothing to show for it no money and the fucking government are still owning some retired old men some die and they they not get a piece coin from the government, I told them that all my household will ever be in this forum in the future.
Guys, what did you think?
I am not sure what kind of white-collar jobs are you talking about if you think bitcointalk would pay more or would be more secure? I have a paying job and this is a hobby to me. If i would rely purely on the bounties, i would be soon homeless.

If you want to trade or hold cryptos then by all means do, we all do. But relying 100% something so volatile as crypto is just irresponsible. I am hoping if you do that, then you are only responsive of yourself, because if you are relying in crypto with your money that you need every day, and you need to provide for your family. Then as a someone who has seen few huge bear runs, some point you are going to be in trouble. Because you can't calculate volatility as huge as this for your budjet

2132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Being drunk while trading what was your experience on: March 14, 2023, 02:21:48 AM

The question is, can you trade while you are already drunk?
-cut-
I can i am just not that good with it. Sometimes confidence i get fron it helps but being too confident and risk seeker can be bad combination.

I have a same rule with gambling, and that is,: don't trade/gamble when you are drunk. Because being under The influence lowers my ability to make wise decisions.

And don't get me wrong, it's fun to trade while drunk but hangovers are the worst when you have lost ton of money and have only vague memory what happened
2133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some of my big losses (Gamble Responsibly) on: March 13, 2023, 08:19:53 PM
Thank you for being transparent. I often get greedy when i see posts or videos winning insane amount of money. At that moment all i see is the winnings and completely forget that most people don't get those. In fact many people lose a lot while pursuing jackpots.

I see this mentality especially people who play lottery. Changes are astronomically high. When changes are one to too high numbers for people to comprehend. They tend to forget the odds and just think what they would buy with the jackpot. In fact that could be the best part of the game i suppose.

If people would posted all their losses, most games bets with low changes of winning would seem unattractive.
2134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Test on: March 13, 2023, 08:10:33 PM
I got "Little or No Indication of Gambling Addiction". I thought i would be at least mild case but i think that investing into crypto is flling a lots of my gambling needs these days. As it's hard to crash zero doing that and it lasts longer then my weekly slots fund.

I am not sure if i was completely honest to myself on that test and maybe my closest friends would see my answers differently, but i tried to be honest and i still rather believe that i have a mild addiction that's under control at the moment then live in denial and not do anything to control my addiction because it's little.
2135  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Demands All Jan 6 Detainees Be Released From Prison After Tucker Carlson.. on: March 13, 2023, 07:47:41 PM
Referring to Tucker Carlson's edited videos is just nonsensical.

If there are footage of people not committing crimes, that isn't a proof of people being innocent. Serial killers can have footage of them being calm and not committing crimes because no one commits crimes 24/7. That footage doesn't cancel any crimes and it would be laughed out from any court if someone tried to use it as some sort of weird "evidence".

Not to mention that Tucker Carlson is a proven liar.
2136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUSD Future on: March 13, 2023, 07:39:34 PM
Are you talking about binance swapping BUSD Stablecoin to btc, eth and bnb? Or have i missed some news where the founder, that is Charles Cascarilla to my knowledge has said about BUSD? Because last i heard he said we will fight the issue in the court.

But i think that this issue could move to the future as at the moment regulators have their hands full when there seems to be ironically real banks falling in US more then crypto exchanges.

I once did a slot game without looking at the RTP and the results were satisfactory, around 2000x. but when I play slots, look at the RTP before playing, the results are very bad.
-cut-
I never look at RTP, and for a longest time i didn't even know how. I maybe should given the amount that i play slots and i mainly play them. But one thing i don't get is why the slot devs need to hide it under info small print. One would think that really good RTP would be pretty good selling point if it shows up right after you start the slot machine.

Or is there something i am missing here? Would people only play slots with highest rtp then? I would think that just higher jackpots would counter any potential high RTP only chasers.
2138  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you know who you are? on: March 12, 2023, 11:58:12 PM
Sorry to say most of us are struggling to answer this question when someone approaches asking if we know who we truly are or who you really are. I believe the lack of knowing yourself is one of the major problems ⚠️
It is a responsibility of a person to know how to live. Without knowing the true identity will lead man astray heading toward Poverty and the most important in the life of man.
What do you think?
I know perfectly who i am. Among many things i am a father, geek, neurodiverse, crypto enthusiast, ethical sadist, hedonist, feminist, social democrat, pacifist, self defence enthusiast, free thinker, satanist, happy, kind, in love and alive. I have a strong code of ethics and i am what i think and what i do.
2139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What if its falls! Will altcoin survive? on: March 12, 2023, 11:46:21 PM
It looks total crabs that without btc altcoin has no value streaming on its own. I observed several occasions when btc experience downtime, it affects the rest of the altcoin and when it pumps altcoin experience likewise.  I classified bitcoin as 🚜 tractors that levels prices of altcoins. ETH is second world best crypto that occupied core ria marketcap in the crypto market but yet it cannot survive without btc.

That's mean alternatively, if btc falls flat altcoin will dies off. What their deep relationship? Why btc important to altcoin, what's the connection in between? Will altcoins really survive without btc?
If btc would fall it most likely would mean it would be forced out of the markets. And the whole gimmick of crypto is that decentralization makes it resistant to censorship.
Now if BTC would fall, that would mean something has gone wrong and only thing making it strong in the first place somehow failed.

And if that's the case, and decentralization wouldn't work anymore, i can't see any other cryptos surviving, because they would not be needed anymore if they somehow wouldn't fix the problem bitcoin failed in.
2140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fear of KYC requirements on: March 12, 2023, 11:36:44 PM
Have you ever seen a online casino website that displays, No kYC requirements or KYC requirement for **** amount of withdrawal before? And why won't any online casinos do something like this? I believe this is suppose to boost users and players confidence when they are about to try out new gambling platforms for the first time.

I believe this is still affecting online gambling platforms because this is one of the most common issues that online gamblers are still facing.
Because sometimes you would need to kyc some accounts that have potentially created multiple accounts so that they can withdraw that $**** multiple times and prevent them use it as a loophole. Things wouldn't be that simple, or that you suddenly accidentally used ip from your home country that's under sanctions. You would also need to prove that you are not from that country.

If it would be only matter of how much can be withdrawed from casino no questions asked your question would be valid but it's more complex than that.
