1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free NFTs real or fake? on: August 12, 2023, 10:19:35 PM

As you can see from the screenshot today I checked my app and I noticed I was gift a free NFTs which is showing right inside my wallet. Actually within myself I had two things; this could be either is spam NFTs or a trap that whenever I try to connect my wallet in an opensea I may quickly get sweep off with my real money. But to my notice does NFTs got release in such manner without one buying them or possibly got associated with their airdrop?

If this is scam nfts please be very mindful if you come across something like this. I just shared this so that those who are desperate of airdrop won't rush to swap in other to receive 1.5 ETH on the picture above as I believe is another smart way to get airdrop participate or users got trapped.
It's a spammy advertisement. They used to do this with erc20 and bep20 tokens. I mean thet airdropped tokens that have url in their name just to get attention to urls. Now they are going it with nfts as you can use pics with those ads. Just ignore every free nft you get, i got several of them. Url has a web page where you can "claim" something, but in reality it just empties your wallet.
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Binance indirectly manipulative by promoting Tokens? on: August 12, 2023, 09:51:36 AM
Hello there,

I don't know how exactly to phrase it, nor do I know if what I say is accurate; it's just how I see it. Binance has been frequently indirectly promoting newly launched tokens on their platform, either by airdropping them, by completing quizzes, through pre-sales, or by farming them through their Launchpad. What are your thoughts on this? Could we claim that it's some sort of manipulation since a large number of these tokens that are listed through one of the previously mentioned ways are pumped the moment they are launched in the market and start being traded? I don't have many examples right now because I've stopped tracking how many new tokens are being added on a weekly basis, but for instance, Binance is now offering to farm CyberConnect and SEI, which I'm also farming myself. There's no information about their price, nor can they be traded on the platform yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're hyped the moment they're launched.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you believe that it's a kind of manipulation and/or some sort of reward for Binance for promoting newly created tokens?
You get airdropped tokens because team is airdropping them to wallets that are holding some other specific tokens. Cexes are not even distributing every airdrops, just the most anticipated ones. It used to be so that not every exchange even bothered to do the airdrops and kept the tokens airdropped themselves.

Farming is more complicated issue and i can't figure out how is that still legal in cexes. It's not price manipulation imho, and while i am not legal expert, it could break some other laws on securities and marketing. It might just be because regulations haven't catched up. And "staking", when it's not real staking is problematic.

Quizzes at least to my knowledge is part of dev team sponsored marketing to bring awareness about the coin, and the things that it's supposed to solve.

I see trading competitions, that are just volume competitions more blatant market manipulation and i don't know why that hasn't been dealt with yet by regulators
1143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal launches an Ethereum-based Stablecoin! on: August 11, 2023, 10:53:32 PM
Paypal launches an Ethereum-based Stablecoin!  Here's the low-down:

Pros:
1) Adoption potential for crypto among "normies"
2) Interact with Ethereum DeFi
3) Can be used at Paypal checkout window of websites
I am not sure how permissionless this will actually be, so that they can keep it regulatory compliant in eu. I think they must have same issues that why they haven't released BTC payments in eu yet (at least not in all eu countries).

Cons:
1) Very centralized
2) Similar to a CBDC
Not similar to CBDC. This is a pegged to fiat money, while CBDC doesn't need to be pegged to anything but to itself, as it IS fiat money. You won't need to convert to money, it will be money, usable in everywhere.
1144  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: August 11, 2023, 10:46:13 PM
You are correct that previously Elon Musk was engaged in development of AI technology but later he decided to quit it due to unknown reasons. It is also true that AI was not so popular in the past, the  phenomenon of AI has suddenly captured the attention of general public and businesses involved in IT technology worldwide, after the success of CHATgpt as an effective and powerful tool with numerous capabilities. Therefore, it is possible that to maintain his competitive edge in industry, he might change his stance and rejoin it.
Probably because Grimes (his ex) was generative AI enthusiast and now he doesn't want anything to do with either of them and think ai is dangerous. Most likely because he has issue with his ex. And i honestly feel more safe if that man doesn't buy anything related to AI as if he wants to micro manage things like in twitter he could make things worse. I believe there are people in existing companies who are putting themselves between engineers and him to prevent him from making things worse.

This summarizes my feelings about recent events:

-cut-
But the EU's economy is not much better, if not worse, than Russia's. If the ruble is a scam, then all currencies in this world are government sponsored scam schemes.
Hold on. Can you elaborate on where you get your data from. Let's start from the fact that EU has actual trading partners from developed countries and get supplies shipped without any problems. While Russia is being sanctioned by majority of civilized world. So do you really think they are that self sufficient. They weren't doing that well before the war.

My ex who lived there used to talk to me about the little differences. This was long before the war, and still after Soviet union became Russia. One thing that stuck to my mind was corruption, even back then. People who live whole lives in corrupted countries, have hard time believing that something actually works in elsewhere. Like government actually fixes infra that's broken, very efficiently and fast. And no one is taking bribes.

Here's some data about economy. Can you point out how and where we are doing worse?

1146  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 11, 2023, 10:18:11 PM
We live in a society where people have different views about something and these views could be drawn based on different constituent like personal sentiment, religion, ideology and experience. And speaking of gamble there are those that view it as an irresponsible activity to embark on and whoever is into it is tag as irresponsible guy, for some it beyond being irresponsible but a sin something that is evil,  while some others out of an ugly experience of a loved one that got ruined by it due to extreme addiction.

These factors has made a number of gamblers to keep their gambling habit a secret doing all they could not to let friends and family  know they gamble. And it does seem like they ain't proud of what they're doing.

But why continue in what you're not proud of by keeping it secret cause maybe you're worried about what people may say, how their thoughts about your person might change. Or how you might loose ties with someone you hold dear to. And many other reasons that follows.

Those that keep their gambling habit a secret is it that they're not proud of what they are doing?.
I don't talk about it to anyone. Not because i would be shamed or it would be about religion or anything like that. I just find that it's private and thing i do that i enjoy, just for myself. It's my money and my business what i do with my spare time.

I wouldn't even know what to talk about it, because for me it's about relaxation, not tactics. And i doub't it would be relaxing to talk about it either.
Most likely the talk would consist people either judging me, warning me about something i know better then they. Or they would be out of their depth, or even more enthusiasts then i am.
1147  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♠️ betzus.com ♠️ - Crypto+Fiat Online Casino, Sportsbook, Slots, Games on: August 11, 2023, 10:07:54 PM
Hi, i was looking for restricted terrorities from your terms and conditions and you don't have a section for that. Which would be odd for a regulatory compliant casino (which i assume you should be as you are asking for KYC).

So i am not registering until i have a list of restricted countries, because there seems to be trend on less regulated casinos adding EU countries to that list sooner or later.

And while i am on it, your FAQ seems incomplete.

It just stops in the middle of sentence under "Making a bet and calculation" to "2. What are the types?"

1148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin F*cking ETF on: August 11, 2023, 09:50:26 PM
It has always been easy to buy BTC, if you don't care about your privacy, you can buy it in a centralized exchange, but if you do care, then there are enough decentralized exchanges to buy BTC, as for storing it, open source self custody wallets like Electrum, Sparrow and BlueWallet is great to use. I think even institutional investors should learn the right way to buy and store BTC, because not their keys, is not their coins.
Self custody is a thing that's valuable for people that are tech savvy and organized enough to keep their privatekeys safe, that i agree with.

But i am not sure how much more privacy dex has over cex. I mean you have to buy the original crypto you are using to trade it to btc in the first place. And at least in EU, you need to reveal your id at some point for that. Even btc atms are using kyc these days, or when you are using bank card to buy it. Only semi-private way is to buy with cash from some random person p2p. And even then you could end up in trouble at some point when you need to cash out, and you don't have the proof of origin of that btc to provide.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 11, 2023, 09:28:48 PM
I had thought that this fight between Elon Musk and Mark of the meta has taken place. Why the so much hype and the long run and the delay in this fight? I did not even understand what Elon wants to gain from this fight and the publicity. I think the Elon's image in the media is higher than that of Mark. Although Elon Musk is someone that likes hypng and playing with the crowd as we saw in his time of cryptocurrency, bitcoin and dodge coin. So, I am not surprised about the whole thing and mentioning the city of Rome as the venue of their alleged celebrity fight.
Because Elon doesn't want to fight. He would need to believe that he can win first , and i don't think he is there yet. One thing that is very telling about his insecurity was that he said he is bringing weights to the work, because he doesn't have time to train. He does have time to tweet and read tweets all the time but some reason doesn't have time to train. And may i add that lifting weights isn't training for MMA fight. It's just lifting weights.

He just enjoys attention and mentioning the fight brings him attention. He will probably end up making an excuse why he can't do the fight, but in the meantime he will milk all the attention he can get from this.
1150  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 BINOBI - BEST ONLINE CASINO |🚀BINOBI Affiliate Program| 💸Earn with RevShare on: August 10, 2023, 08:15:46 PM
Hello, KYC is not needed for depositing and withdrawing money. Players can play from anywhere in the world where the gaming business is allowed. At the moment we have a restriction on the United States of America.

Your Terms and Conditions provide a much wider list of restricted territories:

Quote
For various legal or commercial reasons, we do not permit accounts to be opened or used by customers resident in certain jurisdictions, including but not limited to: Afghanistan, Algeria, Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bahrain, Belgium, Bhutan, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Central African Republic, Chad, Côte d'Ivoire, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, Eritrea, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Guinea-Bissau, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Iceland, Israel, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Myanmar, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles (Curacao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba, Aruba), Norway, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Republic of the Congo, Reunion, Romania, Russia, Saint Martin, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Somalia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syrian Arab Republic, Sudan, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, United States (and its dependencies, military bases and territories i.e. U.S. Minor Outlying Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands), Vanuatu, Yemen. or other restricted jurisdictions ("Restricted Jurisdiction") that are reported by us from time to time.
Hello, that's right, this is a ban from the provider.

I wonder what countries are left to join to your site.

Also if you don't do KYC, how can you confirm that person is not from the restricted country? That doesn't seem to make sense unless you are just lying to regulators that you are complying with their blacklists.
I don't know, nothing really strikes as "reputable" to me. Eveb the gambling stats are not updating or no one is playing. Timestamp doesn't really make sense to me. Top players in your high roller list are playing with $0.20
1151  Economy / Gambling / Re: JackpotInsight.com - online review guide on: August 10, 2023, 08:04:03 PM
I am confused about the rating system. Users can rate it but do those affect the rating in the site or what? BitStarz has 9.5 and zero user reviews.

And how new this site is? It looks good but as there are only 5 casinos and all of them have nearly five stars, it's pointless so far, as everyone needs to know about the bad sites, and maybe some transparency on who does the ranking. Do you take requests what sites should be added or are you already too overloaded with the amount of sites. Also do you want compensation from the casino before releasing the review?
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top IDO maker project. on: August 10, 2023, 07:48:39 PM

The only sense thing to participate in the IDO launched through DAO maker. I don't even think if participated in the IDO launched through another IDO platform is a good idea. It's caused by another IDO platform never gave good ROI to the investors.
People shall be more careful when investing in the IDO. IEO is much more profitable compared with IDO. So many projects were losing their value once they traded on the dex.

IDO is not a good platform to participate as an investor. I prefer to use IEO rather than IDO at this moment due to the how bad ROI being made by IDO platforms.

source: https://cryptorank.io/ido-platforms-roi
That's some hilarious stats. And i agree with you, either IEO or Private sales, where you need to know about the company and it isn't targetting noobs for their money, but actually people who are interested. But those are harder to find.

And ideally CEXes should weed out scammers from IEOs they host, while IDOs are for anyone with photoshop skills. Or these days you only need AI to build a convincing generic IDO.
1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto investment analysis: Crypto market capital will reach $3 trillion by 2025 on: August 10, 2023, 07:40:36 PM
“Chart patterns of Crypto analysis give a significant outlook that Crypto market cap. will going to reach all time high at $3 trillion by 2025”

Crypto market cap. now standing around $1.148 trillion and the capital of crypto industry has fallen below $2 trillion on April 2022. After that the rally of falling down continues and yet not recovered. Although some crypto experts are showing positive intent and believe that crypto market cap. will reclaim the previous level in next few month and touch the $2 trillion level. Very few of them are over confident that this rise will continue during the rally of 2025 and it might hit all time high recorded $3 trillion.

https://www.cryptocrit.xyz/2023/08/crypto-investment-analysis-crypto.html
Site you linked almost crashed my browser with all those popups. And i needed to change browser. What's wrong using medium.com from blog posts?

But there's no analysis, nor there are any links to any "Chart patterns", just a pic of a total marketcap chart with meaningless drawings. If anyone can see any TA from those, please explain that to me. But i doubt anyone does.
1154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I understand meme coin good or bad position? on: August 10, 2023, 07:30:42 PM
Actually collecting profit from meme coin is a surprising phenomenon because some number of people get good profit from this meme coin but most people take loss here. If a meme coin enters the best exchange then you can trust it. But if they don't do any development activities then you have to understand that they are scammers. Many meme coins are operating staking system and they charge big money as reward which is really tempting risk.
This is because when they see the successful stories of those people that invested in the Doge coins, they thought the same when some of these new meme coins were first introduced to the public and money people are aware of their existence and also the cheap price helps a lot to gather huge numbers of investors at that time that's why the price suddenly rise, and many people are also successfully gain a decent amount of income because of it. You can even judge the coin by its usage because sometimes meme coins like these are in huge advantage compared to some coins that have a real purpose in the world.
You can see the same effect with lottery winners. When people hear interviews of every lottery winner, they lose the sight, that most of the people who play that game haven't won anything. And if you interviewed those losers, you couldn't probably watch 1% of those interviews in your lifetime because of the time it would take.

There can be only so many people who buy the bottom before the price starts to rise and you will be part the rest of the people who did invest during the peak, and can now only hope for new peak.

-cut-
Mainly because we don't have to care or worry anymore and democrats can move to building the country. Right wing republicans might be lunatics, but adults are in charge, and now we have just to wait. Things take time to go trough proper channels. Trump is most likely going to jail and your disinformation links can't do anything about that. I know that you must be fired up about that as you need to make new conspiracy theories how Trump is still in charge of his prison block.
1156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is FLUX the next 100x project ? on: August 10, 2023, 07:02:24 PM
Just came across a comment that made me aware of FLUX. I had never heard of this project up to that point ( they were comparing it to Helium in that it has real world utility ) and I'm a pretty informed investor, so I realized this could be one of the best plays for the next bull run. I think it did something like 11,000 % gains late last year so that should get your attention. Of course you can expect it to be super volatile, but that's what you get with such an explosive token. I know there are a lot of great projects at incredible prices these days, but one thing I look at is token performance. Algorand for instance, one of the most clever, most innovative projects out there, with big partnerships and amazing technology, has had really mediocre token performance... even in the past bull run. It didn't show me anything, other than great potential. With FLUX the technology is great, but token performance it's right up there with the best I've ever seen.
It already has marketcap of 135 million. Going 100x would take it in this market over ADA and Doge, making it highest layer 2 token in coinmarketcap (if you don't indclude stablecoins, which you shouldn't).

Now, since you consider your self as pretty informed investor, why would it go there? It was made in 2018? It's listed in binance, but what does it have to offer that others don't? Just that "technology is great" doesn't really sell it to me. Not that you would need to sell it, i am just interested.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: August 10, 2023, 05:46:59 PM
-cut-
A gambler who saves himself from greediness can survive in this market.
In general, at bear market that might save us, but i don't think it applies in gambling. As you don't get rich with gambling by settling less. You need certain amount of greed and to set a high bar (aka being greedy) on the amount you are satisfied to retire. And to do that if you don't dream big. Same applies on investing in the volatile markets.

Obviously there's a downside that you could lose everything with that tactic.
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NFTs last forever? on: August 09, 2023, 09:09:37 PM
Yeah...in the beginning the development was sketchy.  They certainly took advantage of NFT hype and got out ahead of their skies.  They have several years worth of development under their belt now and have a whole new team, including Chris Clay, former Game Director for MTG: Arena. The difference between a game like Hearthstone and a game like Gods Unchained is the NFT, true ownership of game assets secured by a blockchain. In Hearthstone, the platform controls the cards....In Gods Unchained, the user owns the cards, and they can trade them on the decentralized markets, permissionlessly.

I'm not trying to endorse Gods Unchained, it's just an example of a usecase for NFTs other than goofy ape jpegs and pfps.  It's also a good example of how the various layers of abstraction add utility to the NFTs, while maintaining the same level of security, without bloating the main blockchain. Anyway, I'm just saying....I don't think NFTs are going away --> they're just becoming more utilitarian.  It's exciting stuff.
I got excited of the Chris Clay as well. But i didn't see any impact, that could radically change anything. Maybe he managed to balance some things i didn't see.
And i agree that idea behing Gods Unchained was juicy. I spend so much money on those packs that at some point those cards were all the crypto i had. I just had to hope that i got to sell them in profit. At the day when they landed to market i managed to get some eth and i got myself a list of good cards in the game that i would buy if they were cheap enough, and i indeed got to flip some seriously good cards. That was a good day.

And after they introduced the new L2, i managed to sell even my cheap ones. It was a slow process but sort of fun.

And yeah, i definitely see an exciting future with NFTs
1159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that you trust most on: August 09, 2023, 09:00:32 PM
There are thousands of altcoins in crypto market and each of coin has investors! Cause people have different choice from one to another.  People even invest in shitcoin to get rich quickly. So what are the names of your most 5 invested altcoins that you are holding or would like to invest soon?? Those are my choice
1. ETH
2. BNB
3. Arbitrum
4. Cake
5. ApeCoin
I am not sure how valuable Arb would be as it's mostly for voting. Unless everyone votes for a new tokenomics that makes it valuable
That being said, my list would be.

ETH, Matic (because of reddit), Dusk (if they ever get to release mainnet) and UNU SED LEO (because of the tokenomics). That's it really. I don't need 5. I might play with some microcaps with the fifth of my holdings.

1.  Why is Satoshi Nakamoto hiding???
A: He wants bitcoin to be centralized and not about him
B: he is dead
There's no C

2 . Can Satoshi Nakamoto ever shut down Bitcoin?Huh
Even if he would be alive, how could he do it when govenrments can't do it. Even if someone came out from hiding and sign the message as him, bitcoin is standing on its own. People also probably change their views about Satoshi and stopped glorifying him/her/them, because no one could live up to expectations people have of him.

3. On second thought most people presume "NICK SZABO"  is the real man behind the picture of cryptocurrency is this truth
