1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: July 29, 2023, 11:07:39 PM
I am not actually how does it differ from gambling your money for rent etc. In both cases, gambling your rent money and gambling borrowed money you are gambling away money that is budgeted for someone else as in both cases you owe that money. Even if you borrowed directly to gambling, i see using rent money for gambling is perfectly similar to me.

In other case you either lose you collateral, or you might get loan sharks after you. And in other one you might lose your apartment.
1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: July 29, 2023, 10:20:11 PM
There's this scene I witnessed today at a local sport betting house  and I found it very funny and unbelievably true at same time. A certain young man after making his predictions placed his bet and his betting slip was printed to him then another gambler in the house approached him and asked to make a rebet of his games for himself but I was shocked when the young man refused with the excuse that he doesn't share his predictions that sharing it will make him lose his bet. More like having his luck to win reduce or changed maybe because the person he shared his games with could be someone with a bad luck on that day.

Although I have heard of behaviors like this with some gamblers  but I never believe it not until I witnessed it myself today and it was weird to me imagining how you will get to lose your bet by allowing someone else rebet it. In all my years of gambling I believe that a game prediction that will play as predicted will definitely play not regarding the number of people that bet on same prediction.

So why this belief or do you think it could be true? Or is it one of those superstitious belief among gamblers?
Do you feel cool sharing your predictions with other people and how has the outcome been looking at all the times you have shared your predictions with others?
What do you mean if it could be true? Why would it be true? I mean it could be true that he believed what he said, but other than that, it has no basis on reality.
And i am not sure what's the issue here. Guy was most likely superstitious. Everyone of us sort of have magical thinking as we are playing against better odds to win more.

Or it could be that he didn't want to be the cause of someone else losing, this is the reason i am not giving any advices for my friends about what they should invest in cryptos. Because i don't want to be the cause and have that awkward conversation when they lose everything.
And there's always a change for that he was so sure about his winning but he didn't want to anyone else to win.
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time for bounties and airdrops as we near bull season on: July 29, 2023, 10:05:54 PM
Current condition from airdrop campaign project is limited participants for receiving reward or coins, I don't think worth nowadays joining an airdrop project because we have fight with thousand hundred participants for receiving coins. Difference last three years ago when filling form and few hour later payment received in our wallet without waiting too long with current airdrop condition right now.
Its not matter want to join airdrop but don't make your main job because can't guarantee to earn coins and worth when distributing, as side job is not problem because received or not you have still income from main job than huge expected with airdrop never promising bigger higher reward payment due many coins airdrop not listed yet on market exchange.
When airdrops were relatively new thing, you could make money with those.
For example XLM and idena turned out to be were profitable for early users, and people who used new protocols and weren't waiting for money got loads.

These days if you want to join to an airdrop that you know before it's happening, you can bet all your money that it will be botted out like what happened with ARB. You might have a change to make money if you play your cards just right but without spending a lot of money using the system of the company that's airdropping, you are not getting anything.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Tether crash to $0? on: July 29, 2023, 09:55:31 PM
If they play by the rules, there should be nothing to worry about. But I have a feeling people will trust CBDCs more than stablecoins, because they will be backed by the government. Tether's been known to have a shady past, so I'd proceed with caution.

If you want something reliable (sort of), then I'd advise you sell your crypto to Fiat (especially the USD). Ultimately, the market will determine the fate of stablecoins like Tether and USD Coin. Who knows if they're eventually replaced by CBDCs? Just my thoughts Grin
I wouldn't really compare them. USDT is just pegged to fiat money, backed by fiat money, while CBDC is a platform to move actual fiat money in a new way.
But i am not following your logic why people should sell their crypto for Fiat. Sure, if you don't want volatility, you can keep your money in usd which will slowly lose value. Plus side for it is that it won't probably crash in a day, and even if it would, so would everything else.
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who else uses move to earn apps for the same reasons I do? on: July 29, 2023, 09:46:23 PM
I was using the app named sweatcoin for over 3 months, and was doing some exercises to get the coins on the app. When I reached at most of the coins, then I found the app is not working in my country. So, there are many apps that are not working more better according to their roadmap and functions.
I am pretty sure you can hack those phones to think you are constantly moving, which takes the whole point from those apps. I mean it's always good if people get moving but i don't understand where's the game theory here. Why would sweat coins or any other such coins would have value, unless they have a real utility.

And i am pretty sure that those apps collect all sort of info about you to sell to third parties. I can't believe they are popular.
1206  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💸Buy-Sell BFG on BetFury | 🔥Fury Pharaoh - New In-house Slot on: July 29, 2023, 09:23:14 PM
-cut-
Streamers can bring in new people to the site as the most popular streamers got +100,000 views on every video they upload. This is a trend that has been going on since a while but seems that Betfury now also started with it.
-cut-
I think that's their goal. and technically exposure is always good and i wouldn't want to be skeptic but i wonder how many of those influencer views and comments are from paid engagement. I mean they are often doing giveaways for people who interact in chats. That would mean that most of the people chatting and needing pocket change might not be a right target group for ads. NAturally it drives those videos higher as algorithms think they are worth watching. And i guess is the whole point.
1207  Economy / Gambling / Re: Exploring the Math Behind Crash on: July 28, 2023, 07:15:48 PM
For my fellow math nerds,

I have found a very useful video which explains the mathematics and probabilities behind the game Crash and why beating the game with a low multiplier strategy in the long term is almost impossible. Anyone who has played on the Roobet Cryptocurrency Casino should know about it since their code is open source, which is available to everyone but you would need to understand the code itself to make any sense of how it works.

However, there is a youtube video which explains it from a simple mathematical standpoint, so even if you do not have the necessary coding knowledge, it is still easy to understand.

Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1HA7e3acSI
Thanks. I've always tried to explain to people how you can't beat this with tactics as you should beat math behind it. But i've always encountered people who say that i don't just get their tactic. It has annoyed me because i can't mathematically prove my point as i am not a mathematician. So i've shared wikipedia articles about gambler's fallacies and probability illusions, but they don't have time to check them out.

Now i have a video answer so maybe that fits to their attention span. I just hope that allmost 9 minute video isn't too much.
1208  Economy / Economics / Re: Federal Reserve launches FedNow instant payment service on: July 28, 2023, 07:08:30 PM
Weird how much governments are dragging so far behind on payment systems that this only happens now. Paypal has existed 24 or so years. Mobilepay in Finland has existed 10 years and banks still keep fighting each other and it might take more than a day to move money between banks in here. Unless you do it with mobilepay which is instant. It's like big players don't even care.

This is definitely a step up from them, at least in US. I still find it weird how this wasn't happening 10 years ago.
1209  Other / Off-topic / Re: elon musk changed twitter Logo and he want to buy a twitter account for $69.42M on: July 28, 2023, 07:00:33 PM
Now this may look like it is a funny post. However, it is true that Elon Musk took the username name x from its previous owner (now the owner is using username (x1234567898765). It was all over the platform and people were asking if Elon bought the username yet the previous username owner never answered. The attached photo from op can be found on the reply on of the previous owner's recent tweets.
Part where he took the account is true. Owner of @x account got zero dollars for it, which seems like an abusive move from elon. Imagine building your twitter account 16 years and then comes a billionaire and just takes it, and gives you nothing for it. But it doesn't surprise me at all, that's elon for you. How would you feel about the twitter after that? And yes i keep calling it a twitter and tweets tweets.

Priivate Message you are referring to came from a parody account pretending to be elon. Why would he pay if he can just take stuff?
1210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find new meme coins early? on: July 28, 2023, 06:43:37 PM
Define early? If you want to be one of the first with microcaps go to dextools and pick a winner. Changes are that there are no winners at that time and everything you choose is a rug. I've found some interesting projects from there that weren't scams and made 100x and over to me. But changes to find them require luck and lots of work to study them all.

Or just pick randomly stuff that people are shilling to you. Good luck with the hunting
1211  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: July 27, 2023, 11:59:01 PM
The "X" rebranding is one of the dumbest things I have seen from a company. The brand name is part of the network effect that has made Twitter into one of the largest social media platforms. He is trying to turn it into an app that does more than just social media but if the core part of what attracted people in the first place is being run so poorly how can we really expect X to have success building on top of the current foundation. Twitter is already losing a lot of money and they will lose more by adding new features nobody really asked for.

Imagine how pissed off he will be when people keep using old name and old terms. He literally managed to kill twitter. It's a brand that took 16-17 years to build. Changed it to brand name and to logo X, that he can't most likely even own as it's from a font pack and microsoft owns the rights for brand "X" in social media context.

He really should have kept more staff preventing him to do what ever. I am guessing that his most successful firms are running because there are people buffering between him and actual engineers.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT Project Help on: July 27, 2023, 11:05:00 PM
Random but if you don't ask you don't get

Im looking for a little help on my NFT for the following

I need a nice one page website

Promo, twitter, insta etc

Game development

https://opensea.io/collection/trotbb
How are you splitting profits for that if your workload is like 0.05% of the whole concept?
You have generated some bunnies with midjourney and minted them. Now you need everything else done by someone else? Including game development.

But did you know you can use various AI:s to create rest of the stuff? I mean it doesn't sound like you would mind that AI would be building the rest as you relied in it at your nfts
1213  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: July 27, 2023, 07:47:11 PM
I am out of the loop. But i needed to check as everyone was talking about RLB. What happened between January-February this year that made RLB grow 1496% in 3 days? And even more after that? That doesn't seem normal especially when it didn't correct enough. It would almost seem it wasn't trading at all before that but there's some volume and price changes before it took off.

I can't see any exciting news pumping it so either i am now finding because i am looking from a wrong place or something else is happening. Is this for a rumor or something?
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: July 26, 2023, 11:49:21 PM
I say something, at least when I play in a casino and I see that I am losing my money, there is an internal stop that does not let me continue playing, because I know that I will continue to lose, at least those things happened before, now I no longer feel that, because when I'm going to play I always leave a part of my balance to spend, if I lose it that's fine with me, I have no regrets, because it's what I'm willing to lose, so my way of controlling the plays could be said to be as if I would put a lock or something similar, and really if a person tends to have a good diction I would like them to copy my method.

Of course, as far as I'm concerned about this method , it's because I invented it, and although it looks very safe, and looks somewhat conserved and quite efficient, and in the end I think that's what really matters to me, because when seeing that there are so many addiction problems and other types of things always arise when generating more emcoins in the casinos, this including contests, bonuses, all this makes a player become more emcoined and want to play and play , without measuring any Type of money , he only cares about playing and in his mind there is only the word Winning , but we must be realistic , we must know that in a Casino the Safest thing is to lose than to win , if we as players have that clear there is no Problem.

When we take control of our money as an option , things can happen in a great way, because that way we get rid of having a very bad time , and that is the main advantage of my Method.
That's cool. Sounds like you have coded your brain to believe your method. You stop before it really begins, and by it i mean losing. As it's often a spiral, because more you lose, more your instinct is to risk it all as the feeling of gambler's fallacy kicks in to justify playing your whole budget.

My method has 2 major points:
One is budget. It's really has nothing to the fact if i am losing or not. If i ran out of budget i quit.
Second is the fact that if i want to keep on spending more, my build in autistic feature kicks in and in this case it's the fact that when i feel strong need to gamble and my brain is telling me that i would enjoy gambling, i do the opposite and refuse to do it out of spite. At the same time it's my rebellion against authority (authority as being my need to gamble). And need for structure and rules (my method).

I know it must sound weird but in gambling it works for me.
1215  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: July 26, 2023, 11:27:14 PM
My own experience clearly shows that using demo accounts and practicing your actions on a demo account is not just a waste of time, but also a completely harmful activity for the simple reason that it takes your time and does not allow you to really develop the necessary skills.  It is much better and more correct to use not a demo version in trading and games, but very small real deposits in cryptocurrency.  For example, a few dollars, losing which is almost imperceptible to your budget.
Thus, you will develop the necessary skills much faster and more correctly.
I guess it depends on your definition of harmful. I use demo games often for fun, to reset my head. To relax my brain when i don't have to think anything. Just look at the screen and enjoy. I do that with mobile games that have nothing to do with casinos as well. Of course i know i am not gaining any skills or building anything useful but that's the whole point.

I don't think everything should be measured on how productive and efficient things are. And even if they would be measured by that, sometimes brains overloaded with expectations and work and when everything is circulating around profitability and productivity, you sometimes need to just relax and think of nothing. Obviously you could do that without any screen, but not all brains are wired in same way and people have different ways to relax. I am using demo games for that these days.
1216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: crEx token on: July 26, 2023, 11:16:00 PM
not all people using people btc either, you cant control people https://poocoin.app/tokens/0x622ee5bd460bdb9f87e4a5bc1674bf046ef301ba i will to sell for liquidity

You cannot answer the main question that I have already asked several times - what is the purpose of issuing the crEx token and why should investors buy it? Just do not write that you released it in order to earn millions of dollars at the expense of stupid investors who will hope that you pump the token up to $5.

see the result. . . im going to put  liquidity. i will start $0.01 to $0.03, you can swap this coin to another coin

my purpose is to create financial stability. fiat and crypto currency.
No, you want to pump up the generic token you made without using your own money. Why would anyone agree to do this? I mean you made zero effort. Not even a home page (not that it would help your case in any way as there are no development, community and one single address holding the tokens. Why would anyone else do any work for this if you only made the token that ANYONE can make?

I don't even mean to diss you, it's a honest question. I am baffled about how you thought this would work.
1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layerzero Speculation airdrop on: July 26, 2023, 11:00:36 PM
As far as the layer 0 goes. The project seems taking a lot of traction lately. Plus there are rumors of the confirmed airdrop since the founder confirmed via twitter that in order to be not in sybil the value of bridge value to their project stargate and most likely to others should be more than $ 100 or at least $455.

Well thats an expensive figure and not for all. But since they arent confirming any info about it yet. The speculations remain mysterious.

For everyone doing or interacting with layerzero found this useful tool or checkin to see your transaction and volume and even ranking on the layerzero race.

https://nftcopilot.com/layer-zero-rank-check
I am intrigued. Can you link to the tweet that confirms something? Their telegram pinned message says that there's no airdrop, snapshot or token coming. And if someone keeps hinting about it they will get banned for misleading info. So i am not sure if there's anything worth speculate. Why would i believe speculators if devs are denying everything so hard.

I had to google LayerZero because i never heard about it before, i thought you were talking about Layer 0 protocol as an infrastructure. But now i know more so thanks for introducing me to this.
1218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1k - 100k Challenge ✅ on: July 26, 2023, 10:45:33 PM
good one, made it from 2k to 20k
Oh wow that's a big profit you earned there. Can you provide proofs to back your claims? Also some strategies that you used in our current market scenario. It could be a big help to many members here especially on newbies and forum members can also help you in giving you merit if they find it helpful. It's a win - win situation. It's a great challenge that to be honest, I myself don't think I can achieve that with that kind of money.

That's a fake user and in 3 post history of Wander.Genz contains the same ads and too shill posts.
For any newb reading this post, this is just another self hyped scam. And you should stay away from paid premium "trading" or P & D groups that claim they make profit. If they would make profit they wouldn't need your money in the first place.
1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: World coin, distinguishing humans from AI online while preserving privacy on: July 26, 2023, 10:23:32 PM
And now even Vitalik has voiced his concerns about the privacy issues in privacy, accessibility, centralization and security.
https://vitalik.eth.limo/general/2023/07/24/biometric.html

I understand that exchanges see this purely as income because of the trading volume, but surely CZ should be aware about the issues with world coin and i am honestly bummed out that they want to push this heavily overpriced coin for newcomers. They should be more responsible.

I even get the pepe token more than this, at least it isn't pretending to change everything. This is smoke and mirrors decieving and definitely does down harder then ICP.
I stopped trusting exchanges a long time again since it doesn't take long for them to go back on their words and promises. CZ once said he doesn't like Projects that raises so much funding yet he goes ahead to list WorldCoin despite knowing that there were no public funding rounds and majority of the tokens are held by big players. I respect Vitalik dor always keeping it at 100%. I'm pretty sure WorldCoin hasn't been open enough with the concerns mentioned by Vitalik.
I find it semi hilarious that some people are afraid of CBDC are welcoming this Orwellian dystopia with open arms. There are so many questions and issues with this that are unanswered but last thing i would do is to give any data to these guys. Whole idea of proof of person sounds like false problem. How could you possibly use it to anything worth using? Are they actually thinking banks are chooding to use this instead of their own kycs? That's insane.

1220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For newbies and plebs who want to self-study to become "traders" on: July 26, 2023, 04:54:37 PM
My advice - BE CAREFUL

Investment and trading books, articles and videos are made by people who might not actually be winning traders. They make their money by writing "investment materials" and sell it to us, the plebs.

Plus "as traders", most of you will lose money and leave. Some of you might return and lose more money. Some might have learned their lesson the hard way and just HODL Bitcoin. The few who actually put in the most time, effort and who are well-capitalized might make it.
Most of the people claiming they are winning traders are not. They are removing their losses from any feed etc. You can find out what kind of traders influencers truly are from tradingview.

In there you can't remove your bad calls. Everything stays in your history after you publish them, even the embarrassing fails. In there you can see that most loudest and proudest are failing all the time. Just like people who are getting relatively good results.

After spending a while to find a good trader and even when following it, it gets pretty clear why you need a such thing as a stop limit. Because traders are wrong a lot more then they would like to admit.
