1181  Economy / Economics / Re: Im owner of wealth club and here is my forecast about global economy on: August 05, 2023, 09:27:53 PM
Im Wealth Club 777 owner and here is forecast for econoy
The many years back UK banks LIBOR scandal and SWAP deals to Europe Banks and many other indicators can tell us only one thing that euro is about decouple from much more from other Western world fiat currencies.

Get ready for weaker euro off course it has quite good economic stimulus factor we can can expecting boom and bullish european construction and real estate markets.
Once again europe Will be good vacation destination becouse of weaker euro specially by usa and british tourists.

Thanks and enjoy the Reading Smiley

How is a scandal from 10+ years ago in a key factor in weakening euro? Maybe you want to elaborate why that specific scandal is meaningful today, when in camparison EU has actual war next to them.

And if european construction and real estate markets would be be booming, wouldn't it mean that euro might be doing well too? I mean those fields are making a lot of jobs, and people with jobs consume keeping the economy happy. And you didn't add any links or reveal how you came up with your forecast, so i don't see any reason just to believe you.

1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need a privacy coin that can only hide transaction amounts ? on: August 05, 2023, 09:15:09 PM
There are already some privacy coins, such as Monero, but they don't seem to be widely popular. At least not as popular as ETH, LTC.
Is it because privacy is not a necessary requirement? Or are existing privacy coins not good enough?
Or is it because of regulation? Or is it that privacy coins make the public feel that they are always connected to criminal activities?

If a coin only hides the transaction amount, will it be popular?

When I was using Monero, I found that for offline cold wallets, it is a troublesome thing to check the balance. You have to wait for the wallet client to scan a large number of blocks to find all transactions associated with the account. If only the transaction amount is hidden, this problem will be solved.
Of course, this semi-privacy coin is also more friendly to supervision.
Will anyone be willing to use this kind of coin ?
There are so many questions that this raises... To whom this is for? Who would need it? Why hide just a transaction amount? Who exactly is gaining from this? If just amounts would be hidden, what it would help?

With zero knowledge proof, you can technically hide only the amount, as you can pick and choose what you need to reveal or hide, or if you just want to confirm something without revealing it and that would help the regulators. Because i don't get what regulators would get from just hiding the amounts.
1183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal for a Satoshi-sign on: August 04, 2023, 05:47:22 PM
Hi all,

there are several proposals for Sat/Satoshi-symbols.

My girlfriend - she's a graphic designer - just sent me this one:

Let me know your thoughts.
I am often against these sort of things but your gf is on to something with last one. tiny b and those 2 strokes are very fitting. I wouldn't mind if this catched on, but i doubt it. Bitcoin maximalists seem to be very much against any kind of change. Although this wouldn't be a change but an addon, and not to code but to visual "brand".

And there's the fact that people have hard time to grasp the whole bitcoin idea, so we have to be careful not to introduce too many new ideas in a row.
1184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are crypto currency exchanges doing to foster crypto adoption? on: August 04, 2023, 05:39:50 PM
-Security concerns: Fear of getting hacked or scammed.
Many CEXes have several layers for protection. Major one is demanding 2FA authorization. They also notice if you have suspicious ip activity and you have a freeze option in your account if you suspect something is wrong.

The volatile nature of cryptocurrencies: Losing funds due to the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies.
CEXes can't and shouldn't be doing anything about the valuation. It would be illegal price manipulation. Volatility doesn''t have anything to do with the fact it's crypto. Crypto prices just often is volatile

-Regulatory concerns.
What's the concern here? Many of them follow regulations.

-Poor user experience but to name a few.
That's a tricky question. We have come so far but we have so far to go. There was a time when users needed to understand what's happening under metamask, and before metamask, everything was so much harder. I am not sure how much we can dumb this down or if we could dumb this down enough when people are getting scammed with normal credit card scams as well.
1185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tokens or coins, which one is better or gives more profits? on: August 04, 2023, 05:08:56 PM
I was doing some research on types of cryptocurency and discovered that we have tokens and coins. For those that don't know the difference here's a simple explanation, coins has their own blockchain while tokens rely on others blockchain to operate just like we have many top cryptocurency relying on ethereum blockchain to operate. My question now is which of this cryptocurrency is more profitable to trade or do you not put into consideration if the project you're about to invest into or trade is a coin or a token.
Why I'm asking this question is because tokens has a variety of exchange options to trade them on like DEX and CEX but coins can only be traded when they're listed on centralized exchange  and when trade are halted you can't buy or sell that coin that you're holding.
Why would it make any difference? There are garbage L1 projects (coins) almost as many as garbage L2 projects (tokens). Some coins even start as placeholder tokens that are swapped with coins after mainnet comes

But it doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the product. And if you are trading, you should maybe focus on hunting volatile coins or tokens, regardless their fundamentals, they are moving a lot and are a gold mine for skilled traders. Or if you want to trade low frequency, choose something that does have room to grow and reason to glrow.
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Potential Threat to XRP on: August 04, 2023, 05:03:30 PM
-cut-
Please enlighten me, if I'm missing something.
XRP holders have been delusional from the start, and there are so many holders that their echo chamber carries sort feeling of legitimacy, even if their ideas are delusional.

By the way, i didn't catch why any of this would be "potential threat to XRP". XRP was never going to replace Swift and no-one expect hardcore fans would even think that. XRP doesn't meet the regulatory standards for such a platform, and i am honestly baffled why they think it would replace SWIFT.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweat coin. Is this real? on: August 04, 2023, 04:54:53 PM
So am not all that into airdrop but some of my guys have been disturbing like hell to take part saying of these airdrop do actually pay so I later let me send me some airdrop link and I tried this one particular one {sweat coin} but for some time I have not done anything with this but I do get lots of notification on my telegram. And I saw an interesting message which I said I should ask the community how real is it about the message sent to me by sweat coin.
Here is a sample

Getting a random message from unknown user in telegram or whatever social media is with 99.9% certainty a scam. Some times someone wants to talk to you about the specific thing you said in the channel, but these chats are never about giving or sending money/airdrops.

When the message says confirm, or you need to click any kind of link or "send eth to:" like this one does, it's a 100% scam. Not even a good scam. But apparently people still fall for them, which is the main reason these still keep happening.

1189  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation overpowers the value of money on: August 03, 2023, 03:51:42 PM
fiat money by default is always inflationary by design
fiat money by default is always loses value by design

its not a concept of "inflation overpowers the value of money"
its instead simply: "inflation powers the devaluation of money"

the rich/elites know money devalues. which is why they hoard soo much instead of spending it. because they know if they hoard enough then even after long periods of devaluation they will still have enough to live/retire on.. they do not fear higher inflation periods becasue they can afford it
-cut-
I disagree with this on many levels. Rich don't hoard fiat money for long time periods. Most of their wealth are tied to land, stocks and other valuables. Some assets are more illiquid than others. Every rich person knows that it wouldn't make sense to hold majority of it as in fiat money.

Because, while you are correct that it loses value and is inflationary by design, it hasn't designed to hold value in a same way other assets like gold. There's a reason why US moved out of gold standard... Because it was easier to control the economy during crisis when they have buffer to do it. However fiat money is excellent tool for commerce and economy. It's highly liquid and people can use it to transfer or hold it from large to small sums for a medium period of time and the value of it stays rather stable no matter how much you are dumping it. Even if you liquidate all your holdings to fiat money. Same can't be said about stocks or other assets. If you dump large amounts of them, it affects the value instantly.

IMHO fiat money is a misunderstood tool and if you would get rid of it, it would be way harder to run economies of any country.
1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: De-Fi Regulation on: August 03, 2023, 03:35:08 PM
I've read somewhere that the US proposed regulating "De-Fi" protocols. It wants to treat them as "Ce-Fi" by requiring developers to implement KYC/AML rules. This means you as a user will be forced to verify your ID to use a decentralized lending protocol, staking service, or even an exchange such as Uniswap or Pancakeswap. Would you imagine this becoming a reality in the near future? It would be disastrous! This would greatly defeat "De-Fi's" true value proposition which is eliminating the middleman from the system.

With the way "De-Fi" was designed, I hardly doubt the US government will be able to succeed in its efforts to regulate it for good. But knowing that they did sanction a decentralized mixing software like Tornado.Cash, tells me that we should not underestimate the government.

What are your thoughts? Huh
It's unavoidable, but it isn't going to be as simple as everyone seems to think, where regulators control everything. Regulated Decentralized Finance can be build on even on decentralized permissionless ZK blockchain where we don't have to share everything with regulators. All they need is that we need to prove something they require. And with zero knowledge proofs we can provide the proof without revealing anything we want to keep secret.

Assets can be issued on top of that blockchain and while native coin itself can be permissionless, assets can be issued on L2 and have some qualities that regulators want, like transactions being reversable, private and instant.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's safe to say - gambling is a guy thing. on: August 03, 2023, 03:25:08 PM
Hey y'all...Seriously, I've been having this running through my mind.. maybe it's been discussed but this is on a diverse objective.
Why is it that we tend to have alot of men inclined and addicted to gambling than women? Is there any mystery guiding that?
I mean, You ain't gonna telme that everyone isn't roofed by this economic crises - both gender to speak of - so what's so special about men gambling?? Alot of cases has been reported several times too - and y'all end up realizing that MEN are usually involved in very many critical cases... What's that validating? That men are really taking the whole thing personal??

Sandra 🧑‍🦰
What are you basing this on? Every study i've seen seen is  that women dominate gamblinconfirming that when it comes to slots, majority of users are women and slots are proving most income to casinos. Even online casinos. And amount of women participating to it has just been constantly rising.

The fact that men are dominating sports betting is another issue. That has always seem to be a a guy thing, and that could be because only recently people have been taking women sports seriously. And naturally it's hard to be interested / enthusiast about something where your whole gender has traditionally not been taken seriously.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why this Altcoin called Worldcoin could have a huge potential? on: August 03, 2023, 02:52:53 PM
Worldcoin has a massive budget behind it and has been all over the news recently so it wouldn’t surprise me to see its valuation grow for a period of time. The project is pretty creepy though. The way they seem to be going after regular people to get lots of folks on board with small investments reminds me of the approach of Safemoon. I expect a similar result.
Except they could end up sued and every company using it as they are disregarding privacy laws like GPDR in EU. At that point their fund goes to lawyers, fighting a fight that they can't win. And after they lose, investors might sue for being deceived by a sales pitch. I rarely have been so sure about a fraud but this has it written all over it.

I am sincerely baffled how in earth would i know more about privacy laws and their upcoming troubles with regulaltors. Surely they have consulted lawyers before and they have warned them. Or i am completely misunderstanding something essential. But i doubt it.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 billion from Paramount movies on: August 03, 2023, 01:12:56 PM
Hey there. Uhm, I haven't posted in a while, and I want to say I think that Cryptos will probably be a Hollywood refund and not free money.
-
There's also a difference between the two, as free money would have been more promising as the other is not, and that's funny and bogus and laughable.
-
In light of the recent pump in Dogecoin, trying to decide when to return is only a cold shoulder to the community in the future because it was a Hollywood refund.
-
Opinion.
Since some of you are actually answering to this text like you would understand it, so i would like someone to explan what the op is saying. Because nothing in this make any sense to me. I tried to to use AI to explain this post to me and even that got me vert iffy answer.

Op, can you start by explaining what do you mean about Hollywood refund"? And what is "1 billion from Paramount movies" referring to? And who told you there would be free money? Everyone in here is basically saying that you can't know if markets are going up or down. And if some random person is promising profits for holding, you can just choose not believe everyone.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I’ve created a tg channel with trading calls (signals) on: August 03, 2023, 12:43:03 PM
Hello world!

I have created a telegram channel providing trading signals. Its free) the name is 5min calls.
Link to join https://t.me/fivemincalls
I welcome everyone there. You can come and see the statistics. It would be nice if you stay:)
I don’t know ways to promote a channel, so I decided to try it here)

Everyone have a great day! Smiley Smiley Smiley
Here's a tip for you. Create a tradinview account to prove your track record. If that confirms that your signals are making profit, you could just charge people for that service. Right now only reason for such a channel to exist is an attempt to have a crowd to pump your bags. AKA illegal manipulation tactic called pump & dump.

If you however would have a tradingview trackrecord where you can't just erase your bad signals from the history, you would be taken seriously. If you have a system that works, you would be mad not to advertise it via tradinview account. Unless your system doesn't work, which is more plausible.

1195  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💸Buy-Sell BFG on BetFury | 🔥Fury Pharaoh - New In-house Slot on: August 03, 2023, 12:20:14 PM
Maybe that could be the reason why the price didn't go up that much, because not so many tokens were burned it might be very good to reduce the amount of supply available so that it is possible to increase the value and scarcity of the price of BFG tokens, I don't know much about how this BFG token works , as far as I'm concerned I only have a few gambling tokens in my possession as well.

But somehow BFG is able to gain the trust of investors and traders so that the trading volume remains active every day so they can maintain the value of their tokens, I don't know how their team works whether they only focus on the gambling business and not on their tokens which are only given to users for free and others.
Also one reason could be the fact that BFG token is build on centralized entity, and future of this centralized entity is very much in doubt. The one greatest utility of this token was the fact it paid dividends, which have been constantly going down from the start. And so have the amount of users, that are eligible to use their site.

I personally can't see any reason or plan why volume/proits should go up again. One of the mechanisms for volume was mining, but there was not any real game plan on tokenomics or where the volume would come after the era of mining those tokens was over.

1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OGG from $0.01 will reach $1 on: August 02, 2023, 01:52:51 PM
Ok, what's the point of this? Am i supposed to find some information from here what this project is about? I know it's a coin but what's the goal? How is a website or "social media" linked to this coin. How is it powering it? The site has few vague posts in english and interface is something else, maybe spanish?

If you have a whitepaper i would like to read it. What i gathered from this this far is that you are somehow building a new social media, that might or might not be linked to the coin.

Edit: also claiming that you are going to list on bitmex is a lie. They have NDA on that. So even if that would be true, just by saying that you are violating their NDA and not permitted to list.
1197  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you will never become rich on: August 02, 2023, 01:36:49 PM
The first reason why you can never be rich is too much  responsibilities, carrying family problems on your head which we all know family problems are always around the corners and can't be totally eliminated. The best help to offer family is to put yourself in a better financial position,  don't struggle to help family,  struggle to put yourself in a better financial position then take away your from dependency. How do you take them away from dependency? If you have a company or business you are running or a connection,  you can connect your family members to your friends let them work for them so that they can earn their own money or you have a business you are running, they can work for you to earn their own money.  As long as their is still dependency they will continue to depend on you and demand from you.

The second reason why you can never become rich is not knowing how to use money. There are several ways money can be use :  spending,  savings,  and investing.  Many of us already know about spending and even when we spend we spend on things that are not really needed but just to impress people who don't care about you.

Buying liabilities,  things that doesn't have value five years from now.  Many save but even when money is saved,  it is done to spend and not to invest and the only way to become rich is to invest and not by savings.  So , invest in assets and not liabilities.
Investing isn't a magic bullet that makes you rich. And it all depends what kind of life is worth living to you. Because avoiding your liabilities, just because you want to be rich isn't going to sit well with your relationships. If you want to blame your family that you are not rich, then you can do it by all means, but don't be surprised and blame your kids if they won't talk to you when you are old.

Investing time to my family has been way more healthy for me then investing to cryptos back in time. I mean sure, more than enough money was cool, but i was still investing time to my friends and girldfriends. Just because i am broke now, that has nothing to do with by responsibilities, but all to do with bad decisions i made with my investments. I am man enough not blaming anyone else for that.

And i know i can rise from this as have done few times now. All it takes is correct timing, passion and patience.

https://www.reuters.com/technology/german-data-watchdog-probing-worldcoin-crypto-project-official-says-2023-07-31/

More countries will be coming soon. Worldcoin will not able to leave from the regulators. Those who involved in the shady pratices may be jailed in the future, there's no point in collecting irish data.

Regulators are coming to the world coin. You will be seeing so many countries sued world coin. Those people are so dumb exchanging their personal data for 70 bucks.
Yep, it'e like they forgot The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and even if they somehow managed to shuffle trough regulations. Who would want to sell their data to these people? For something that's most likely worth pennies.

I rarely point to book 1984, as it's now just a meme as everything is so 1984, but this is so dystopian i want to. Selling this data to corporations is pointless. There's no real use case for POP that would be allowed by regulators. Everyone involved and enabling their tech would possible be involved in criminal activity so who wants that? What's the upside of logging in to some irrelevant site with that?
1199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets Discuss All Casino/Gambling Related Movies Here on: July 31, 2023, 07:40:41 PM
There's a movie about a group of MIT students that was assembled by their teacher and it's called "21". It seems inspired by a true story. It's basically about card counting and operating as a group in beating the dealer in Blackjack. What added more color to the movie was the casino's head security trying to catch the student's teacher which was his target for the longest time.
Sometimes in these kind of movies, you don't see of the trick is done, it's like stupid magic trick and gamblers are shown some sort of geniuses that don't have any human errors. That i hate. But the fact that this one was based on real events made it so much interesting. The way they were using signals and how casino were spotting signals was interesting. Top tier cast made it so much more enjoyable too.

Sometimes I see a clip of young Matt Damon playing poker against the owner of a small gambling hub. I don't know the title and haven't seen the full movie but I remember that owner keeps eating oreo or whatever cookie that is.
It's called Rounders.

I loved it. Most realistic poker movie i've ever seen. There were some actually good poker playing involved. I would absolutely recommend anyone interested in poker to watch this. Poker playing scenes made sense and i am betting that they were designed by actual pros. Matt Damon analysing hands in the game by narrating his thought prorcess at the background was brilliant to watch. And it wasn't talking down to viewers in condescending way. At least it wasn't to me.

Where are the video games? I only found 30 seconds and it's very short.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCeP29qppfY
Yeah there's not much to review. Browser says that "Your connection isn't private" on the homepage. Even the lores in the medium seem like something i tried to do with chatgpt for a fictional game. Airdrop needs my phonenumber and email which is a big no-no.

I guess we'll just have to wait for the product. I mean no one should buy anything or register to any sort of airdrop when there's only a videoclip about a game, that actually could be a little bit interesting. Not enough for adoption unless they have something out of this world, and original game design.
