2141  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A newbie with 100$ on: September 18, 2022, 01:11:04 PM
100$ on a new promising altcoin in this bear market will make a big difference, not on ETH not on BTC but a new altcoin with good utility for example Router protocol that allows different chain bridging on it's platform, the max supply is just 10 million and it's 3$ right now, this can easily turn 40$ on day.
'Router protocol', for real? Mind you that it could easily turn $0 on a day too, and the chances of that happening is very high, as a matter of fact, higher than the chances of it appreciating to $40, which seems more like a mere dream to me. Whatever Router protocol is, i am pretty sure i ain't the only one hearing about it for the first time, but that doesn't change anything, we don't need to know it well to know it would prolly be no more than its pump and dump likes that we have seen in the past, if i have $100, i'd definitely put it where i am pretty sure my money won't vanish, and if it's gonna be in crypto, i'm afraid it would have to be Bitcoin.
2142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is always one step behind the competition on: September 18, 2022, 08:12:30 AM
I'd say ethereum is as valuable as it is now because it has a large community of investors, one that is far greater than any other altcoin in the market, most of those altcoins that implement new features earlier than Ethereum are relatively unknown, and even if they have made a good implementation to their network, nobody talks about it, and thus if Ethereum makes that same move/implementation, it breaks the news, and thus most people erroneously think Ethereum was the first to make the implementation. But it is what it is, they have the trust of a large community, so these are the advantages they receive in return.
2143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Few crypto thoughts of the day on: September 18, 2022, 07:53:07 AM
Your thread is more about Bitcoin than Altcoins, so it should be in the Bitcoin discussion or speculation board.

1. The minimum deep that BTC dived to was 17,500$ do you still think we are going below 13,000$? If yes please explain.
Whilst i don't think that $13k is possible right now, nothing can be ruled out in this Bitcoin network, it is absolutely unpredictable, but $13k or even below wouldn't matter too much to long term investors who are hodling, they would pretty much just accumulate more.
2. Does it matter if you build a crypto portfolio at 15k per BTC or 10k per BTC.
It doesn't. If you are waiting for a desired price to invest, what happens when you never get to see Bitcoin in that price, let's say $10k for example, so you should build your Bitcoin portfolio now or whenever you are ready financially.
3. In 2020 covid was the reason why BTC crumbled to 3,500$ what will happen in 2023 that will bring the same deep dive to crypto market.
Are you certain Covid was the reason? Well nobody can see 2023 from now, so obviously there can't be an answer to this question.
4. Crypto keeps looking stronger every year, it's getting more recognised and big players of the world are saying BTC is a better store of value than the dollar for long term, are they right.
Yes they are prolly right!

Weti make di Merge come dey necessary?
Enviromentalists don they complain say mining they affect/destroy the enviroment, you know say this miners they use better sophisticated machines wey they consume quite a lot of energy/electricity wey community suppose use, so na the reason why ethereum comot from the POW consensus mechanism wey be say miners dy 'rugged' themselves so them go get Eth reward, and for them to be the winners of it more often than not, they gats buy better machines and run sophisticated mining farms wey people they complain about, that is why they don move go POS wey no require all of that, but just users staking their ethereum so them go fit participate for the ethereum network, though that one get im own cons sha.

Having said that, so the reason for the merge is just because them wan try an eco-friendly method to they create new ethereum. People don dy para say make Bitcoin too follow that same direction, but me i no believe say Bitcoin developers go leave POW to POS, rather than that ehn, miners go just reason better alternatives wey fit reduce the effect of POW on the enviroment.

[At the start of the season I had some doubts about how Pep Guardiola would use Haaland for the team, but he successfully installed Haaland (classic number 9) in the position played by Gabriel Jesus (fake number 9) last year and was able to push Manchester City's pace of play to a higher level.
Oh, so you were one of the doubters, Grin well your doubt and that of so many others around the world didn't age too well because Haaland is absolutely firing on all cylinders and tbh, i can't see any end in sight to his magnificent start to life at the Etihad, except of course if he is stopped by an injury, and that is something we do not hope for.

Having said that, City were not at their perfect fluid best today, they looked a little bit tired after the game in midweek in the CL, but the most important thing was they got the victory, three goals and three points, now it's time for the international break for them, and when they return, it is the Manchestee Derby, a huge test for flying City and a resurgent Manchester United, we'll see how that one pans out in a few weeks time.
2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GREENPEACE INTENSIFIES CAMPAIGN AGAINST BITCOIN FOLLOWING ETHEREUM'S MERGE on: September 17, 2022, 10:09:08 PM
I'd say it is what it is, whilst a lot of energy is consumed in mining Bitcoin, i don't think it is at the level the government and anti-Bitcoin people are placing it at, you can prolly talk about other things that affect the enviroment, but that wouldn't even be an argument in favor of Bitcoin, as you cannot say that because one thing is destructive, then adding another one isn't bad, but then that takes us back to the initial argument, and that is: Bitcoin isn't even close to being destructive to the enviroment.

Having said that, the Bitcoin network/technology is a net positive for the society, for obvious reasons actually. I'd say there are tons of things to blame for enviromental destruction and Bitcoin would hardly make the list, yes Bitcoin mining uses a lot of energy no doubt, but definitely not at the level of it being enviromentally destructive as some of these propagandas make it seem, and definitely changing from pow to pos is extremely improbable.

Chelsea still has enough chances to qualify for the next round.
Of course after two matches every club still has a chance of qualifying Grin, but Chelsea are slowly putting themselves into a precarious situation, their qualification for the RO16 will depend a whole lot on their next two games, both of which are against the Italian Champions AC Milan, Chelsea are definitely strong enough to win both legs, but then again, with their current form it might be pretty difficult.

The Chelsea board i'm sure cannot even imagine a situation were they fail to quality from this 'weak' group, even after sacking their manager, it is going to be comical Grin and disastrous; i don't think it can happen anyway, because the group isn't a strong one, if Chelsea happened to be in a group of at least three strong teams, they would have been punished for their repeated slip ups.
2148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 15, 2022, 06:24:16 PM
Leicester is not the Leicester I have seen performances in the last few seasons. Yes, their decline is very clear after being without a win in the Premier League until week 6. Their achievement was only able to play a draw and the rest ended in defeat, which caused them to occupy the bottom of the standings. Not only that, they are one of the two teams that have conceded the most goals.
Quite right, and all of these stems from their very bad transfer business for a couple of years now, and with this summer's being the worst i think, they might think they still have ample time to recover, and definitely they do, but it is something they have to do fast, if a team has a diminished morale and they sit bottom of the table, it becomes extremely difficult to overcome that sitiation, Everton were very lucky to escape relegation last season, Leicester have started in similar fashion as they did last season and if they can't come up with solutions pretty fast, thus Leicester might be playing in the Championship next season, except they end up as lucky as Everton was last season in the final few matches.

Having said that, all eyes would be on the Leicester manager right now, he'd know it that he is lucky to still be in the job, but he'd also know the patience of the board can run out any short time from now, prolly this weekend, if the lose to Spurs which they likely will, i think Brendan Rodgers could be fired.
2149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 14, 2022, 01:10:51 PM
It's relevant for me the start of the season is not bad but Liverpool is still a good standard even with 2 wins and 1 draw in the last 3 games for me it's still quite good even though the standings are in 7th place but I believe Liverpool can still rise in the UCL and EPL .
Whilst Liverpool will definitely get better as the games come, without mincing words it has been a very far from good start for Liverpool, i think they are five points behind City already, now imagine a situation were that gap widens, that prolly means Liverpool can forget about the title, so there is no question of that, Liverpool have started badly in the EPL. It has been them and City going hammer and tongs for the title for the past couple of seasons now, but if they don't improve, and fast, then it might be City and Arsenal, or some other team competing for the title this season.

  • anyone that is claiming to be someone on this forum but that he is not
Well you might be correct because impersonators more often than not take up the identity of someone else for the purpose of scamming people, so yes i know impersonation is worthy of a negative feedback, what i was trying to do earlier is prolly point out why those who gave neutral feedbacks did so.
I will award BitcoinMoses a red trust, I will remove it once he signed a message with an address that  Satoshi used to receive the mining reward from the genesis block in the past.
Lol, in other words your negative feedback is going to last forever. Grin
2151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 14, 2022, 10:57:37 AM
Liverpool made a very awful decision. I never knew they underrated that super star because of his kind of person, because of his humility and calmness they failed to understand the level of his work rate.
Mate i think you are absolutely blowing things out of proportion here, to say Liverpool underrated Sadio Mane because he is 'kind' and 'humble' does not make too much sense if you ask me, Mane was respected by all of Liverpool, from the manager to the fans, and they never wanted him to go, it was Sadio Mane that told the club he wanted to try out a different challenge somewhere else, and mind you that when a player has helped a club achieve so much, the club can hardly hold them back against their will, that was why Liverpool let Mane go.

Having said that, i find it funny that people are constantly connecting Liverpool's poor run of form at the start of the season to Mane's departure, i mean, they miss Mane quite alright, but that is definitely not why the team has started poorly, Mane was just a single player, this problem right here is a collective one, and Mane has not even been at his excellent best in Munich, yeah he scored a couple of goals at the start of the season, but he is yet to be a game changer for Bayern Munich or cement his place in their team.

33 is not too bad for a striker, the likes of Benzema and Lewandowski are still performing.
Of course 33 isn't too old for a striker, like you rightly mentioned Lewandowski, Benzema, and many other strikers, and infact players above 30 are still performing quite well, but then again you need to take a closer look at the teams these players play for, Benzema is currently playing for the European champions, quite a lot of the players above and around that age that are still firing on all cylinders are in top clubs, Diego Costa i'm afraid hasn't moved to a top club btw, so you can't expect too much from him in Wolves, he will do his best for sure, but a club can never be a one man party.
2154  Economy / Reputation / Re: See this irrelevant Faketoshi on: September 14, 2022, 09:17:17 AM
Don’t know why people are putting neutral tag here. It’s a clear negative tag IMO.
I think users are leaving neutral feedbacks because they prolly want to use the trust system in the 'correctest' way possible, which is for trade and commerce risk, @BitcoinMoses is a blatant troll, and definitely we don't want users coming here impersonating Satoshi, but since there is no way we can stop that, maybe a neutral tag to tell people more about the user and their antics is very appropriate, since neither of the feedback is related to commerce/trade.
2155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Scam Tokens in the name of late Queen Elizabeth on: September 14, 2022, 05:26:02 AM
Thanks for the heads up OP, i expected this sort of thing to happen, i mean, for anybody who has been in the network for sometime now, they will know that scammers are always pretty quick and inventive to use whatsoever is trending to deceive people pretty fast, and before the warnings and awareness starts to spread, some people would already have fallen victims. There are quite a lot of scam tokens out there, it doesn't even matter the name they are in, most of these tokens are to no good, thus people should avoid them completely and choose coins that have utility and is sustainable for the long period.

There wasn't any way in which Ajax was going to beat Liverpool.
Well we can say that now that the game is over and Liverpool won, but as that game went on at 1-1, it was very open imo, Ajax were always looking threatening on the break, and they had a couple of half chances, and tbh anything could have happened, then even if most people didn't give them any chance to win, they should have earned themselves a point, they almost did get that, but in the final few minutes their resistance was broken, and i am pretty sure the players and the manager will be feeling the disappointment of that game for a while. Having said that, things are very far from being certain in that group, Liverpool have to be very careful, they are not playing to the best of their ability, and a group stage exit (though unlikely) will be a disaster.
2157  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: September 13, 2022, 10:22:59 PM
Wetin we go need understand be say the major bull go happen when btc don half again, but before then make we dey careful dey invest or better still we go longterm with DCA.
Na true wey you talk bro, for now Bitcoin price no go too they give joy, but as every disappointment be blessing, e mean say person go fit accumulate Bitcoin as the thing they somehow cheap, but make person no buy Bitcoin now they expect am to pump in the short term, if you go fit hodl am for the next 24 months or so, you go certainly see better ROI, as for altcoins, now no be better time at all to buy am say you wan hodl am, the best time to buy altcoins for that purpose go be when Bitcoin start to pump well well.

Tbh i feel very sorry for Ajax tonight, i felt they played very well, they had a game plan and they executed it expertly, they deserve to come out of that game with a point, but i guess it is what it is, and that's football. Liverpool were the better team of course, but they found it extremely difficult to break down Ajax and create clear cut scoring chances, the header from Matip made the difference in the end, and boy did Liverpool need that goal, had they drawn this game, they surely would have been in a precarious situation in the group. The group is still very tight, but that win gives Liverpool something to build on.
2159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 12, 2022, 04:00:42 PM
Erling Haaland, the Ronaldo & Messi replacement. Maybe each of us can imagine the new Ballon d'Or nomination and if Haaland continues and he will successful in the Premier League and Champions League, he will win this. There is only one who stands in his way and that is Lewandoski. But Haaland is over 10 years younger and hopefully he will get better from year to year. Now 6 Matches an 10 goals, ohyes.
Haaland can only get better in Manchester City, i mean, look at the quality of players in the team, and to put the icing on the cake they have arguably the best manager in the world, it is the dream of most young talents to work with Pep Guardiola, and definitely Haaland is going to learn quite a lot from him, which will result in him scoring so many goals in a Manchester City shirt. Having said that, as for the Ballon d'Or, i don't think Haaland can be thinking too much about that now, it is quite early, what he has to do is concentrate on his game, take care of his body, maintain this blistering form, win titles for and with City, and then see what happens with the personal awards and accolades.

Initial negotiations over an extension have been carried out with Kante and he wants a three-year extension commitment from Chelsea, whose previous regime was notoriously worried about awarding an aging player long contracts.
I do not think Chelsea will budge, they usually do not give players above thirty anything more than a year or two contract extension, and i don't think Kante's case will be different, but then there is a new management in charge like you said and we would see how they handle this situation, Kante has served the club very well since his move from Leicester, and a three-year extension might be no more than what he deserves. Having said that, i am pretty sure various other clubs will be monitoring this situation right now, and if there is a breakdown in negotiations, some of them will not fail to offer Kante a contract he might not be able to say no to.
