2141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin and the games industry? on: November 20, 2019, 11:59:59 PM
It's in favor with us 'cause I'm a gamer and very happy that some gaming platform or online website that is related to gaming are already accepting bitcoin as a payment. There's also a gambling site where you can bet about your favorite games which is LoL, Dota2 and other popular games.

Some platforms are already accepting and engaged to cryptocurrency.
2142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still bother to engage non Bitcoiners? on: November 20, 2019, 11:54:29 PM
So far, I haven't done it lately. I think its already announced and broadcasted on the television and the internet. Its already about 8 or 10 years or more that it existed. And its all up to non Bitcoiners to decide. Well, I guess we can engage those who really need money or to have additional income. It will serve as a motivation to share and somehow help them in their financial need in a manner that you teach them to work for money not just to simply borrow from you.
And this is what bothers me, what else do they need before they begin to invest in bitcoin? Bitcoin has already existed for 10 years, there is a forum like this one where you can find all the information that you may like about it and that is even part of the history of bitcoin since it was created by Satoshi himself, you'll find many articles all over the Internet about bitcoin and how likely it is that it will be a lot more valuable in the future and if that is not enough to convince them then nothing will.
I think the process should be discussed to them 'cause not all of the people are techy enough to done it by themselves. There are complex softwares and applications that's existing today because of advanced technology so I think that's the reason why they're not engaging bitcoin and need help for the knowledged one.
2143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The release of Satoshi's personal data on: November 20, 2019, 11:47:46 PM
So, Satoshi is only one person? And it is Amaure Sechet? Is he bragging some popularity here?? Or is this some kind of a joke? Suddenly admits that he is Satoshi Nakamoto after several years. Unbelievable really. Why now? I don't get it.

Its a joke. Every time somebody claims to be Satoshi (or claims they know Satoshi), its always a joke, even if its not very funny or they don't know its a joke.
Yes, I'm just thinking that satoshi is already on his own and he's happy for the success of bitcoin. It's very risky to the part that when you reveal yourself to the public. Many people will target you especially the government because you're holding the rest of the bitcoin. For those future claimants of being satoshi, you'll be always a joke for me.
2144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: November 20, 2019, 11:39:23 PM
@FrankNoland, instead of making multiple post on this thread why don't you just make it in one post only? In that case you should quote multiple posts because the other might get deleted.
From my last post about Bitcoin investment,  following the valuable contributions of members of the forum,  I learnt that Bitcoin investment is not just something that blossoms in a few days,  rather it takes patience.

That gave rise to my new topic.
Bitcoin isn't just an investment, but it is the future...

Let's all share our thoughts about this, in order to encourage ourselves and build a stronger community of users.
bitcoin does exist for the future, bitcoin is 10 years now so it hasn't really died yet, honestly i'm concerned that many people hold bitcoin in their wallets but they don't introduce bitcoin to people around it, i think bitcoin will get a lot of adoptions if bitcoin continues being introduced in public spaces or people closest to you, so don't expect bitcoin to be the future if the above is not done and holding bitcoin in the bag won't help anything

We are already aware that Bitcoin is the future currency, not only in Bitcoin but also all other cryptocurrency, and because of this fact people begun to invest in the crypto world especially in Bitcoin as they know that the value of this will eventually go up beyond our expectation especially now that we know that the adoption is there.
We cant say that for sure because I heard a lot of her says that Facebook Libra will have a mass adoption by storm and when that happens then it could be that it will greatly affect bitcoin’s price but on the bright side bitcoin was here first and stayed long so I guess it will stand it’s ground and prove everyone wrong.
I agree with rather, rather we say it was the 1st currency to be created and introduced blockchain technology, I understand that it is still standing strong but we don't know what the future has for us or bitcoin itself
Facebook's libra is an altcoin and also depends on bitcoin and it's investors. I don't think it will really affect the bitcoin's market price. Even the bitcoin is vulnerable, no one can surpass it even the other assets reach its peak. I really hoping that bitcoin will stay more longer because it's the future for everyone.
2145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: November 20, 2019, 11:25:50 PM
Correct. gamblers who knows how to control are possible to earned out from this activities. It can be done with the right preparations and
the right games that you'll going to play. Different strategies will work if the gambler itself have a good self discipline while playing, emotions
are very important since it's the key to keep surviving and not to lose your bankroll completely.
Control is a basic strategy or we can say that its a must for every gambler, but it doesn't mean a gambler would be profitable easily.

It will take time before he master and become consistent in gambling but this also needs skills and knowledge because their are people who are even trying hard but they can't find the right strategy to win, they are just like wasting their money for a goal that they don't even have a chance.

Maybe discipline is the best term, it's a general term than control. It's not easy to control a game, you need massive experience before you reached the peak of having thr ability to control. Discipline is the best and basic strategy we should apply. A gambler must have it especially to those beginner who wants profit by playing.
2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in High School Syllabus on: November 20, 2019, 11:22:10 PM
According to the cryptocrunch: https://cryptocrunchapp.com/news/bitcoin-officially-included-in-french-high-school-syllabus/

Bitcoin cryptocurrency education will be implemented to French High School Syllabus. It is a new way to introduce money to students.

They are focusing on four Video questions:
1. Can bitcoin be a replacement to Euro?
2. Is bitcoin the currency of the future?
3. Is bitcoin is a currency like others?
4. Do you have to trust your currency?

Regarding this, it would be a good start to educate students about money and trust.

What's your opinion about this? Should cryptocurrency as a whole and blockchain be in schools curriculum?
I support this topic very sincerely. With this, everyone will know about digital currency. However, it is especially necessary for students in Commerce or Commerce background. All the development of the country becomes dependent on the students. Therefore, it will be very important for them to gain knowledge of the currency.
I think it's better to study the technology behind it which is blockchain. If the students in high school are exposed too much in bitcoin, they will have access to it and use it to something we didn't know. That's the reason why some syllabus aren't being taught on secondary education. Each students have different perspective on things. Blockchain is a good start of learning cryptpcurrency, and try to make crypto as an application only 'cause blockchain can be done to a lot of things.
2147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: November 20, 2019, 11:15:02 PM
No. Even though Ethereum is the best Altcoin at the moment, Ethereum still won't be able to replace Bitcoin in the top coin rankings. For me, it was very impossible.
well eth is one of the popular coins  in CMC but with many issue .like token creation that can use to make an ICO and raised funds from investors. Before thats not a problem but now more people has been victim of a scam project created by eth platform. Thats why its hard for them to replaced btc because eth has thier own issue.
Strongly agree with you. The ethereum-based token sold at ICO is the biggest problem because it is often used to do scam projects. I have 5 times invested in scam projects and decided to no longer buy ICO coins which made me lose a lot of money.
Many users also invested time and money for ICOs that can be considered scam as of now. During 2017, I participated a lot of ICO and earned a lot but now it's worst than I expected. Other assets that is eth-based are not profitable and should be disregarded in the community. That's the reason why bitcoin is still on the top.
2148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: November 20, 2019, 11:08:55 PM
There's no secret on gambling because the main factor on this is luck. Probably every game, luck is existing and not all of the players have luck on their side. Gambling is very mysterious and it's very difficult to predict every game.

Having a discipline is also a factor but I can't say it's a secret on gambling because it's a character we should apply on ourselves.
I agree with you. Maybe only for safe bets we can take a little profit from our bets. For example we want to bet in football when the position has reached 3-0 between a strong team with a weak team. this will most likely be profitable. So all that's left is to prepare a balance to wait for a match like this. So in this case the gambling secret is to provide a rather large balance to place a bet on the match.

To be honest, there's no specific secret on gambling because it really depends on our movement if we will win or not. Just be patient, calm and think wisely during gambling. Good character can lead you to success and may win you a lot of games. Information now can be gathered easily so I think there's no reason now for you to lose.
2149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: November 20, 2019, 10:39:14 PM
Ok you are gambling just for fun, -snip-

The reason of gambling just for fun, it's not a bad thing so I choose not to stop from gambling.
Usually if gambling activities are not due to addiction many people also consider it normal because out there are many who also gamble just for fun.
When start a campaign means that there will be days to be passed with a busy schedule that can add stress so gambling can relieve stress a little.

I know a lot of people do gambling because it's fun and entertaining, there's nothing wrong with that. Change your mindset and perspective on gambling, yes it really risks money but the fact that you're enjoying and challenging you to think, it's an effective way to entertain
and be a stress reliever to yourself.

So I think there's nothing wrong if you're thinking of it as a fun activity.
2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: November 20, 2019, 10:24:19 PM
Hard situation but if you really love gambling and it's one of your passion then you shouldn't accept the position of being a councilor. Probably, there will be a lot of issues that will pop up regarding you. If you really insist on that position, I'm telling you that you'll gonna lie many times. You will also hide when you want to play especially when you don't want to brought your friends on the issue. It's a very difficult situation but not worth it thing.
2151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scams and new Bitcoin users on: November 20, 2019, 08:30:21 PM
Scams are everywhere here and we cannot remove it, what we can do is to escape and prevent ourselves from it. Beginners are the one who are more likely to be scammed since they're still lacking knowledge and they are still exploring the world of crypto. That's why they still need someone who will guide them. Being aware of these kind of scams are a good factor to prevent yourself from those scammers...
I believe that asking here in forum will help a lot of beginners to learn various information. And this forum is a good place to ask advices.
We can now avoid it because we experienced that already. That is the good thing experiencing something so that we will never regret the things that happen year ago. There will be a lot of scam in this era , but the thing is dont become a fool again so that we will not suffer too much. We should learn from our mistakes and never do it again.

If there are precautionary measures then we can prevent scam and be safe from it. It is true that scam is everywhere but if you have the learnings not to be a fool again and be an observant user then your safe. In the bitcoin community, there's a lot of scammers here and their targets are those beginners. So if you are a concerned user of this community, try to create a thread that will distinguish scam and legit.

2153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that governments might one day ban Cryptos? on: November 20, 2019, 01:58:41 PM
It's already happening now, there's a massive banning of cryptocurrency in some countries because it literally affects the economy. But there are countries that need a lot of requirements before allowing cryptocurrency like the US. the U.S. In 2013, they defined Bitcoin as a virtual currency distributed convertible.
Quote
If money services businesses, including cryptocurrency exchanges, money transmitters, and anonymizing services (known as "mixers" or "tumblers") do a substantial amount of business in the U.S., they are required to

register with the U.S.FinCEN as a money services business
design and enforce an anti-money laundering (AML) program, and
keep appropriate records and make reports to FinCEN, including Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs)[29]

Also in Colombia, they did not allow cryptocurrency. The Financiera Superintendencia warned financial institutions not to "secure, invest, broker, or control virtual money operations". So most of the finance department is the one who contradicts the use of bitcoin in any countries which means, it really affects the flow and stock market in the economy.
2154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do people decide to create Cryptocurrencies? on: November 18, 2019, 11:56:01 PM
If they saw an opportunity they will start a business but they have a lot to consider first. You need to create a community as well for you to have instant crowd that will support you. A unique idea will also be a great help for you and will eager you to do business in cryptocurrency. If you have smart agenda then that's the thing why people create crypto. It's an opportunity for us since it's a new technology that can grow more.

2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: November 13, 2019, 11:47:28 PM

I'm jealous of them because gambling is truly for them and they have it with their luck and also with applied experience. It's true, it's like a dream job of others.

You don't have to work from 9am to 5pm but we all know how huge the risk is.
don't worry buddy because the topic stands not only for gamblers but also to those people who works in Gambling businesses or even the owner of gambling itself.because they also got fortune in gambling as a profession .

but like yu?yeah sometimes i have got to think of being jealous why i am not awarded with gamblers luck and skills to get easy money lol  Grin Grin Grin
Gambling is all for those who know how to play it and how to get benefit from gambling. There are so many gamblers who are earning only with gambling and they have become so professional as the example we have... to become professional in gambling just need a sharp mind and good luck. If you are lucky and you have gambling skills trust me then you don’t need any other way to get money but if you are not lucky then it’s risky to rely only on gambling.

If you're earning money on gambling, it doesn't mean you're a professional gambler. Most likely, being a professional means you're applying it to something like there's an application of gambling. Maybe in terms of playing in a tournament and already proved you've risk a lot with other gamblers. If the definition of being a professional gambler is by earning money, then we can say all of us are professional even we're winning with luck.

So therefore, being a professional means you're gaining a massive experience playing with other pros or hard level gambling games.
2157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: November 13, 2019, 11:33:04 PM

2158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: November 13, 2019, 10:59:30 PM
Bitcoin is very unique and the kings of all the assets, no one can easily replaced it. The fact that Satoshi created the blockchain, It's another feature they're considering why a lot of users are still using it and investing on it.

Bitcoin and altcoin has a lot of difference so we can't compare it easily. Even other assets have LN in their chain, bitcoin is still the best of them all.
2159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: November 13, 2019, 10:49:51 PM
As the OP said, bitcoin it's more than being an investment, it's also can be used as an international crypto in the whole world in the future, as we know now that most of people around the world using the internet and they want like fast transactions using cryptos instead of paying using credit cards or PayPal, I think it's easier and also more safe and secure.

That is why it's important to learn other applications in bitcoin and blockchain because we can do a lot of things on it. It's very useful in our society and I'm trusting blockchain that it will be the future of technology. I've already started learning the blockchain and its application, it's a good thing to learn and we can formulate a lot of applications through a lot of concepts and ideas.

Bitcoin will not typically stay as for transactions only, it will be a worldwide asset soon used for everything.
2160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in High School Syllabus on: November 13, 2019, 10:39:23 PM
Bitcoin knowledge probably will be under ICT course since bitcoin is part of the technology in the computer. I think it's very complex to have a seperate course that only tackles bitcoin.

High school subjects are very general unlike in college where you have specific subjects only on the course you prefer. It's also impossible for them to complete the whole outline and there are various things should be understand before learning bitcoin.
