1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Patience above all will be rewarded here on: August 27, 2020, 10:42:04 PM

Patience is very beneficial, but we also have to know the right investment strategy so that our patience in investing can pay off.

Exactly. While patience is certanily a factor, once you invest in crypto you should improve your competence at least to make that patience less stressful and be more confident with your decisions
Agree, if you are having a difficult time making investment decisions, there is a chance that you can fail it. Investment in cryptocurrency is not a normal activity, it requires a lot of studies to master the flow of market and have confidence in your investment.

Also, you must have faith in investing in cryptocurrency, it'll just make you paranoid on the investment you've made. Patience will be always the key to paradise.
1202  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 26, 2020, 06:33:29 PM
The Philippine government should pass a law to immediately deport Chinese who will do that, they should also require Chinese that will enter the Philippines to take a quiz so they will know that Philippines is a sovereign country and should not be treated a province of any country.
They should know where they are and belong, we can't deny that many businesses are owned by Chinese that makes them think this way but it's not enough to let them publish things just because they want or own what is not from them. The locals should avoid using the products they produce, locals better support the locals first before the other nation to not be treated this way. Fipinos should learn from this issue to strive harder in life to be the owner of a company or not a forever worker of other nation.

Not buying thier products is not possible. All products in the world are made in China even the phones and computers you are using today are made in China.

I wouldn't be upset if what they claim is not true though. Its not china that claimed Philippines as their province but just the companies owned by Filipinos too. History says that China had been owning places in the Philippines long before the Spanish came here but they didn't resist when Spain colonized Philipines.

Yeah all of their products are already on the whole world, and even hardware that is commonly used came from them. China has a lot and good manufacturers in the electronics industry so I doubt that we can avoid their products, even west countries are buying some hardware from China.

Chinese people are very brilliant, they are good at innovating and remodelling things to make another one that can be a trend in the market. According to WIPO, they have a lot of patents recently because of their innovations so definitely all of the markets existing in the world have Chinese products.
1203  Economy / Economics / Re: China is winning the Economy Wars on: August 26, 2020, 06:13:29 PM
As per the Coronavirus. Isn’t it clear that they were the ones who created the virus as a way to lure these developing countries to take loans from them and then fall into their trap, since most of them will be unable to pay back?

I don’t think people were lying when they said the virus was created by China. Every move they have been taking since the Coronavirus says a lot about them being behind the Coronavirus, like they seem to be more prepared ahead of the time for the breakout than every other country. And when the pandemic started, they have been acting nice to these developing countries and sending doctors and nurses to them, then they are also buying companies that failed, and giving out loans lol.
Yeah and they're denying that the virus which is COVID-19 came from their country. It's their strategy to conquer other third world countries because they can't sustain their economy.

Try to read this article: https://abc7.com/lab-bioweapon-wuhan-coronavirus-update/6107891/

They made a fast recovery to the pandemic and of course, they have the facilities and good health care system and it seems that they are super prepared on this.
1204  Economy / Economics / Re: China is winning the Economy Wars on: August 21, 2020, 08:31:00 PM

China had been in a battle for centuries, the country had experienced it all since time of the Xang to Qin Dynasty and then once again crumble and back up again to what they are now. The time of war is over for China. They won't engage in war the first unless you provoke them in the contested borders.

They are going to build roads for easy access to countries from east to west. Chinese are not into wars, they are businessmen and any country can grow with them.

I agree with you Electronicash, Chinese seems as business oriented, they have done
son much in the last centuries, they build huge empire with big labor force, cheap
product affordable by anyone. We can criticize them, but they are doing their job
and they are getting richer. They are aware that wars can ruin everything they did
and war can just slow down their economic rise.
That's the reason why they're avoiding war and just starting a different war that maintains their foundation. Once a military war started, they're finished and all of the countries will definitely start from scratch. If a huge reset has begun, other countries will adopt those strategies of those leading countries to develop their economy.

So instead of starting a military war, they're conquering some of the countries to build their economy and make the other countries vow to them. This situation we are facing right now is their chance to make their economy bigger and it does really happen right now. They became more powerful and the relationships of each country are getting worst.

Bio war is also a brilliant move and looked what happened right now, most of the countries right now are vulnerable and stunned, they can't even bring their economy go up anymore.
1205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might never reach it's ATH anymore on: August 21, 2020, 08:15:11 PM
Now people are more educated regarding crypto. So if they invest into crypto means crypto is drawing attention. People are greedy and they bought btc at insane price. It also happened to other stocks. May be this will not happen easily in future. But btc will grow and we expect btc to be ATH in future for the potential. No hype, no bubble just pure tech.
So you want people to invest on bitcoin so that it can easily reach the all time high once again? Aren't "you" being the greedy one?
Statements like your are what discourages people from buying bitcoin. If the price is high, according to you, we shouldn't invest because that is "insane" price? Then how would you expect the price to increase further? How do you expect people to enter the market when the price is high?
There's nothing wrong with what particular range of time you invest, even they invested on a time where it is high, it's fine as long as BTC is still growing and they're gaining profit on it.

People's investment isn't the key to a new ATH, if you want to grow your own BTC, better do trading than forcing other people to adopt the usage of BTC for a new ATH. No one can predict when a new ATH will happen, well there's a lot of factors to consider but it's just minimal and prices are still unpredictable.
1206  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 'Know Bitcoin' app is live! on: August 21, 2020, 07:58:10 PM
Honestly speaking, nice effort bud but why is bounty hunting on the front page of the app?

I suggest that the app should have a lot of complex explanations or definitions about cryptocurrency instead of teaching a user on bounty hunting.

I mean, there's nothing wrong with bounty hunting but for me, cryptocurrency for bounty hunting is a wrong perspective. An application like this should taught a user how does market works and when is the right time to invest in cryptocurrency.

1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO Says Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Must Evolve to Reach Mass Adoption on: August 21, 2020, 07:45:17 PM
This idea is as old as the world.
Obviously, the main difficulty in using bitcoin is its convenience according to several criteria. This is also a brake on its scalability.

Gold is also not very convenient to use, but it exists and continues to grow in value. It's the same with bitcoin.
Not everyone uses Bitcoin, but almost everyone knows about it. Thus scalability is inherently one step away from its leap.

It's not that yet convenient because only few adopt the usage of cryptocurrency payment in different stores. What if it's implemented? Definitely, it will be one of the most used asset on payment transactions. People barely use digital money as payment and still prefer fiat on their businesses so it'll be difficult before it happens.

People are always suggesting massive adoption but the only thing they prioritize is the profit on it, nothing new. We need the government to step up on creating an environment where we adopt the usage of cryptocurrency. I guess that decentralized and centralized assets will definitely put too good for economic growth.
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make old people understand Bitcoin? on: August 21, 2020, 07:29:24 PM
I'm looking for the easiest way to make old people understand Bitcoin more thoroughly. I want to let the elderly know about the "Bitcoin revolution", yet I find it quite challenging to explain it to them in a way they can understand how it all works. There are some wallets that have a "user-friendly" interface, but even the basics of sending/receiving Bitcoin can have a steep learning curve for the older people. A Bitcoin wallet with built-in accessibility features, could help even elder people with vision or hearing problems to use the pioneer cryptocurrency in their daily lives.

If you happen to know of a way to make old people understand Bitcoin easily, please let me know. Any suggestions or recommendations will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
Its never been easy to make these old people do learn about Bitcoin or even telling them the basics would really be pain in the ass.I cant think of any other way or basics of the basics trying to explain on what bitcoin is all about. Most of them doesnt really tend to hear out nor accept new innovation on todays generation and rather do stick out with that traditional fiat system. Trying to explain something that is out of their grasp would really be
challenging. It depends on a certain elderly if he/she's open with these stuffs because there are still some who still get curios when someone do introduce new things to them. Why not just letting them see some
youtube video? I think this is much better rather than explaining it verbally and it do save up time and hard work on doing so.
Agree, especially if the old people are not that good at using a technology device like smartphones, it would be very difficult. But if you really want to explain how to understand Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, try to explain how digital money works and I guess they will understand it as money stored on the internet. Explaining blockchain will be useless because it's already a complex term and I doubt that they will remember any term or explanation about it.

If they're using smartphones and aware of online banking, it's similar but the difference is bitcoin has its different market and it's decentralized where no one controls it. Don't be specific on explaining some terms, just mentioned those easy-to-understand terms.
1209  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we must study Economics at University? on: August 21, 2020, 07:13:17 PM
We use economics on our everyday life. It affects almost everything. A good example of this is our daily spending or how much we will pay for a particular goods or services depending on its demand. Economics also gives us idea about how our economy runs, inflation rates, job opportunities, etc.
Economics has good scope if you study economics you can get a good job easily. In other marketing jobs to become a creator an investor you must have ideas how much amount need to spend and how much to save then you will know the profit ratio. In this way economics has important role in every businessman’s Life. Economics teaches us financial controls and help us to improve our profit making skills by giving you ideas about business and profit making so economics is a good subject to study in universities.
Studying economics in universities is important especially right now where we still experiencing pandemic, many people are wondering why the essential items right now like face masks, face shield, ppes and other more equipments and materials are now expensive. If we understand the whole concept of economics, not only the demand and the supply we can understand but the major concepts of it. We can use it not only in job application related but to become entrepreneur.
The main concept of economics is what happening to our society, the exchange of goods of each individual, that's economics. So obviously, having an economics subject in universities is necessary for them to understand how does market works and to know the value of your work soon.

Our economics is very different because we're taking Engineering Economy, which is kinda more difficult than the normal one. And because of economics, I learned a lot about market and applied those learnings in this forum too. One of the basics is supply and demand and even a simple circle of friends, it does happen when you're selling something limited.
1210  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 vắc xin và tăng trưởng kinh tế? on: August 21, 2020, 06:59:11 PM
I think 2020 is a failed year for the world economy. By the end of this year, there will be a lot of people going bankrupt. Facing the stressful epidemic situation, I have faith that the fact that Russia has successfully tested the vaccine and put it into production is a sign of joy. In 2020, maybe the world economy will be better. Currently, because of the epidemic, people can only spend money, not make money. It also means that the poor get poorer and the rich get richer. There are many more billionaires in this pandemic. They hold stocks and their value increases rapidly.
As for the free trial of the vaccine I don't think it should be because it poses a risk to your health. You should wait for official vaccines from such manufacturers to be safer.
2020 is a failed year for 3rd world countries, all of those holes have been revealed that we aren't capable of handling things like this pandemic especially when you have corrupt politicians. China after 6 months of downfall, their economy is already speeding up. But I hope that all of the countries have the ability to recover very fast.

An official vaccine is better than using a vaccine without any trials, we are gonna be a lab rat if that happens.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos Scared of Lawsuits on: August 21, 2020, 05:49:39 PM

Places here in our province are so strict the reason why the people are really following the procedures, they are even requiring now people to wear face shields. Strict protocols might decrease their increasing cases, though this is still a casino, bars are available here so there are a lot of people influenced by alcohol, not following rules is really inevitable at these places.

Face shields are ok and highly recommended but that doesn't guaranty that you are 100% safe because we are against an invisible enemy so this kind of case in court will not have a chance because people will have a hard time proving where they contacted the virus, is it really in the casinos or when they are travelling or a store, there is no exact place to pin point.

This is true and at this point of time only thing is that we can do is to take extra precaution and try to maintain the distance wherever possible. Now one must be extra careful as lockdown has started to open so people are everywhere and thus the chances of spreading the virus has increased more than before.
Face shiels aren't really 100% protection for the COVID-19. In some studies, if a person is not very organized on his/her things, getting contact with COVID from those shields is still possible.

Your safety doesn't depend on what you wear, it depends on how you manage yourselves on things that can be easily contacted by the virus.

1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 21, 2020, 05:21:10 PM
Agree, kids nowadays can do what they want and can access their parents' cards secretly and buy a lot of games and battle passes for the game. So even a gambling platform, kids can definitely play even they are prohibited because it's easy to use someone's details on a specific platform and I bet that kids can do it too by using their parent's identity.

KYC isn't the solution to this, parents' guidance are needed in this kind of situation.

It's also the same when it comes to pornographic you only need to press the "Yes" button when someone wants to watch porno videos. The button line is, they don't really care who the audience is, as long as their put warnings on it. Gambling however has different strategies but the same as that. They don't know who actually playing the dad or his kids.
Yeah, additional to it, VPN is now accessible and easy to use and techy kids are aware of it.

Actually, the new Opera GX which is a gaming browser that will definitely attract kids, have a VPN, they can easily access those pornsites as long as VPN exists. Platforms are already aware of it but they do not care because the only thing they care about is the profit.
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You have to prove that you can take the loss on: August 21, 2020, 04:55:49 PM
Gamblers from UK are the one who should worry because this report is coming out from UK OP did not mentioned in his article whose government implemented this rule, gamblers operator should worry too because they will have less profit and many will not play frequently than they used to be, UK people are to much into gambling that the government have to intervene, and this is not a good intervention.

There are two sides that will be affected actually.

1-Gambling operation is going to reduce their profit significantly.  (bad for operators, bad or good for government)

2-Gamblers (bad or good), bad for high roller gamblers, good for addicted gamblers.

well when that happens, the government will control the gambling place because in fact the government cannot control the gambling place, because it is a private business, in several gambling places in Las Vegas and others I see the government does not dare to do this.
They can't control but they can regulate as long as the business is legally operating, so it's still the same because if they will not follow the regulation, they will lose their license and they will operate illegally which is risky for them even if you say they are private.

I agree with you, they can do anything they want but they should also be ready in facing the consequences of their action as they will break the law.

Even in Vegas and other popular casinos, as long as the authorities are strictly enforcing the law, everyone is treated fairly.
I think a gambler is pre_aware about his loss and profit in gambling So he must know how to handle it. No one is playing for free so instead of making tough rules for them government should understand people invest their money to earn something. It is all the gambler’s own skill if he lose all or all something from gambling. I think Good gamblers won’t feel free if government Will interfere their consequences.
As long as the gamblers are not disobeying the law, they are free to do what they want. If they want to spend gambling in full time, let them be, it's their choice and their life. I doubt that the government will focus on this kind of person because obviously, there are more people we should think more and should be prioritized.

Gamblers are probably adults, they can manage themselves, if they did something wrong, they should face the consequences of those actions. Simple as that. If they choose to be broke, then let them be, it's their life, the higher-ups don't have time to help them on each individual problems. Their priority is to focus on the problems that affect the economy.
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 21, 2020, 04:45:59 PM
I am one of the persons that looking forward to see it in person. The new ideas is great , can we know what kind of gambling games is already available to play?  I cant imagine how gamblers will play it using VR.

Exactly, we should see it in person to know how good it is. I always support new ideas but I like to see in reality how it works. There will be some gamblers who will not be so delighted with such idea and, yes, it's hard to imagine how the playing using VR would look like. Although we should give it a try

Indeed. Presenting a unique and interesting idea is one thing, but the execution and operation of the ideas is crucial to put it into reality. I am really looking forward to this concept, who knows it might become a new trend.
VR already exists in some consoles like the PS VR, there are amazing games on that platform which you can experience virtual reality. So I guess it's not hard to implement a VR online casino games because you'll just put it on VR. It's not that hard unlike those online games where devs put a lot of effort to make it more 3D/4D.

The execution will be difficult but not because it's just a concept, take note that it already existed since then but the only problem is, it's very expensive.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess on Sports/eSports betting on: August 21, 2020, 03:07:41 PM
I'm curious about where we can find a chess tournament I think there's some ongoing online tournaments about chess due to Covid-19 but how do we know that the two players are  fair like not using a computer chess to counter the other, also I was thinking which crypto casino or bookmaker that has a chess on their website.

On https://chess24.com/en they are playing the Magnus Carlsen Invitational tournament. They check with three webcams if the players are playing fair. One of the webcams is placed on the screen.

But I think those top20 players won't cheat. If they do their career is over and they won't earn that much anymore.

Well, never say never. There will always be players that want to beat the system and try to cheat.
Found this article from 2019 where a grandmaster (top50) cheats in a tournament by using his phone in the toilet  Grin
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2019/jul/13/igors-rausis-cheating-phone-tournament-scandal

It's such a disgrace if you cheat on game that is obviously requiring a huge brain so if I am him, he better show himself using with his/her only brain. I agree that chess isn't for everyone and some doesn't like it for having complex mechanics but for some, it's a good game.

Therefore, chess still has its potential to be a leading game agad and both gambling and chess platforms will benefit a lot.

Gonna close the thread, I have read a lot of your replies and some really doesn't agree to be listed on a gambling platform. Thanks for the discussion.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: August 21, 2020, 01:33:16 PM
The best welcome offer for me that can offer a casino to me is 100% bonus on my first deposit.
This would allow me to have more bets in my first use of the casino and it is good for the casino as it gives me a chance to be more familiar with the casino as I bet more on the platform.
100% is mostly the choice of all.

But in reality, only few are taking this kind of bonus because the requirements are that much. You will choose something else instead of 100% bonus.

It looks better but most of the time requirements are far harder than the normal welcome bonus.

Any site if offers 10% or mor eon deposit is really a welcome thing for any new users to create account on any site. This will help people to play some and even if lose they would be less worried as there is a bonus amount which is extra what they have got it. Then also having free spins is the good thing.
Some of the gamblers wouldn't mind taking that bonus if they don't have any plans to play on that casino again. But for real is that most of the eligible gamblers who have the bonus, it will make them back again.

Free spins is also one of the best welcome bonus.
I disagree, some are using those benefits they got from a platform to bet on again. Some of the gamblers are always looking for a win so definitely they will make a move using those. Bonuses are the one who make gamblers stay at a specific gambling platform, it is the main key. That's why having a lot of benefits will definitely the leading platform in gambling, one of the feature you should look in a casino. Free spins are also good too, gamblers can use it for betting on the platform.
1217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 21, 2020, 11:54:46 AM
The only problem with KYC is our privacy and our reputation that someone could hack their system and steal someone's information to used it in their illegal activities, that is why bounty hunters and investors don't trust KYC in new projects nowadays because it might turned out to be a scam project. But if there are minors that has an interest to gamble in a crypto casino, maybe requiring a KYC should be implemented, and parents should always monitor their children if they are getting involved in gambling sites.

With the scams that has happened in past and privacy issue, people just differ whenever there is a KYC formality needs to be completed and consider it as a high risk of data breach. Thus, this does not suit it and there is no other way as such to identify if the minors are gambling or not. Onus lies on parents at large to check what their kid is doing it.
KYC wouldn't stop these kids from gambling.

We are not even talking about KYC but there are a lot of kids that can actually buy games online that is not suitable with their age, how can they do that? They use their parent's card and account. It is impossible to accurately pinpoint a kid gambling unless they are showing it to everyone. Parents should really control their children, that is the only way. If they really wanted, they could start a seminar for these parents.

1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What sports do you think that can resume amid Covid-19 scare. on: August 21, 2020, 11:13:08 AM
After over 5 months we have set up a protocol on how to avoid this pandemic and because of this protocol any business and industries and sports events can go back as long as they can follow the protocol laid out by the experts of course it only applies to sports participants but not audiences or viewers.

Best would be to keep focusing on sports that are played outdoor like football or sports that are done with a few people, like boxing or billiard, where only 2 opponents are needed. The biggest risk to be spreading the corona virus with sports is the not by the participants, but the viewers. Crowding thousands of people closely together in stadiums seems like a huge risk in my opinion. The first step would be to resume all the major sports again and only be able to watch them on TV, as is already be done with football tournaments.
Agree, the lesser participants in a sports tournament, the lesser risk in COVID-19. But I know that athletes have a good immune system even though they're getting positive of COVID-19, there is less risk but we should remember that risk is still a risk. This shouldn't be the protocol only, they should implement a lot of protocols that will secure the safety of all the participants.

Here, look at Presidential Spokesperson's and Manila Mayor's statement regarding the issue and try to compare

See? A simple act of courage means a lot. I hope you now get what I mean.
Mate, try to translate those statements since we're in the international section so they can understand and differentiate it.

Well, that's what I'm pointing on every discussion in social media, locals are more competent than in the national, this is only my opinion.
It's a good move for the Mayor of Manila to shut down the business and send them back to China, another fragrance in his name. (lol)

Even in my city, all of those taxes we paid are so worth it, all of certified voters got their allowance to survive the first month of quarantine.
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 21, 2020, 03:03:02 AM
This post should be a warning to those countries that have debts in China because it could happen to your country as well.
Nah, I don't think so. Only the Philippines is the country China can bully and it's so embarassing. They are disgracing us in our own land without even fighting back and it s*cks! And what I hate the lost is that our government only doing gentle response on all of the issues probably because they don't want a conflict but at what cost? They continue abusing us. Don't get me wrong, I'm not promoting war against them because I don't want it either. Obviously, we're on the losing side. But I just hope we can also do like what Vietnam (take this as reference) did, they stand for their rights and not afraid to resist despite of knowing that they're a third world country as well Sad.
I've read a lot and there's a lot of countries that have been bullied and abused by China, even 2nd world countries are included. It is so embarrassing that a country which is the leading in Asia on the past but now at the bottom because of these corrupt politicians.
I still believe that we Filipinos can manage to build our economy without relying on others
Hmm actually there's nothing wrong with strengthening our relationship with foreign countries. It's beneficial for both parties because it creates more employment and open trades. It just so happened that our current president pick a a wrong ally Undecided.
Yeah there's nothing wrong with having a relationship on other countries, but as much as possible we shouldn't rely huge matters on the other countries especially China. They will just take it as their stepping stone to conquer some of our islands and the worst part is what happening right now, disrespecting us face to face.

Looking at the situation, I think we should not take this issue in general.

The product owner involved should be the only one to be questioned. There is no way China government will treat PH as a province, I mean if they do, we should have seen several cases like that in all Chinese products in Divisoria and Chinatown Binondo. Maybe those owners looked down at PH to the point that they listed it as a province on their product.

Fortunately, the stores are now shut down and owners will be deported back to their country according to the City Mayor.
It all interconnects mate. That's why Nograles said, it's very hard to dismiss that kind of insult as a simple error, meaning, there's a chance that news about our country being a province of china are already spreading across the chinese media. Did you remember in the year 2018 where they put a banner of "Welcome to the Philippines, province of China" in QC? This thing isn't new anymore and the issue is still going on and will become worst in the next few days.
