2181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon | see a preview here on: May 12, 2016, 01:59:46 AM
He is definitely not RealSolid. The way he communicates with people and his ability to maintain his temper is just the opposite of RealSolid. The word cunt hasn't been mentioned even once. But then again maybe people change.  Grin

Well, since I was and still am the biggest holder of mcxnow fees beside owner I was always looking what Realsolid might be about (once in a year he'd appear) and I had a chance to chat with him on mcxnow chat once few weeks ago and believe it or not, he looked like a normal guy. Really normal guy. It was bit of shock as he was obviously the biggest dickhead the Universe have seen before.

Enlightened or Realsolid, can't believe you 100% yet that you're not him, sorry, I obviously have big interest in this coming online and being successful so I hope you pull this out, it would be very nice gift.

Some nice move is coiling, I guess. It's flat as Bitcoin.

2188  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ANX: Your Ultimate Crypto Trading Platform on: June 02, 2015, 11:46:30 AM
I have loaded card on 25.05 and got mail from you that money is available on the card on 27.05 but since then nothing - my card is still very empty.

I've loaded ANX card twice before and haven't had this problem, this time I'm getting worried, it's a week since I have sent bitcoins to my card. It's not a great feeling to see these kind of problems, I might need money urgent at some time and not being able to have them because of these delays.

If it is same guy, Norwegian one or something like that, his coins are surely not being worth 900k now, they were worth that around the top, it's an old story.

Correlation coefficient between daily close of BTC/USD and DXY, over a rolling 365 day window (right click for full resolution)

To my (untrained) eyes, it does look like there could be evidence for an inverse relationship between the two currencies (we're approaching a coefficient of -1), however:

(1) BTC/USD itself is measured against the dollar, our second variable. The effect we see could (mostly) be the dollar appreciating and everything else depreciating. Which wouldn't be a particularly interesting observation, for the purpose of prediction.

(2) Before 2014, there's evidence for a positive relationship between the two (strong positive coefficient). It's only since the beginning of the 2014/2015/... bear market that the coefficient turned negative.

Those two points together, i.e. during bull market, positive relation, during bear market, negative relation, makes me think that, at least by the superficial analysis I can do, I don't have much reason to assume the two are correlated in a meaningful way.

Thanks.  I'm sure it will negatively correlate until it doesnt.  I agree in that correlation may not be useful here.  The dollar has not gained 200x or had a 90% drop in the past few years like bitcoin has.

This! While Bitcoin was rallying from zero to 1200, dollar surely wasn't being dropped to stone age.

Such indecision.

I was very bullish few days ago but few days of chop and price dropping slowly kinda killed that very part. Still think support is strong enough and hope we'll bounce up from 220s.

Just to post that I got my withdrawal with pretty good rate, much better than deposit.

I've sent a mail to promotions, not sure what should I write to that mail to you (letting you know who I am), I don't intend to date you  Grin
2196  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forex Broker - Trader's Way - Accepts US Clients, Bitcoin Deposit/Withdrawal on: May 13, 2015, 10:34:44 PM
And what price inside those 24 hours you take, the one when withdrawal is made, average, one when you process it?

This should be more clear, Bitcoin is volatile instrument and 24 hours time span can make big difference.
2197  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forex Broker - Trader's Way - Accepts US Clients, Bitcoin Deposit/Withdrawal on: May 13, 2015, 10:23:22 PM
I've signed up and traded some oil today. Are those bonuses still active, I've deposited more than 5k in Bitcoins. And how long do I have to wait for Bitcoin withdrawal?

BTW, your Bitcoin deposit rate is pretty bad, 235 today when Bitcoin was 244

DXY looks corrective, will see how low it goes. Everything else going up, commodities reacting too. Stockpile btc while it's still lagging Smiley

Yeah, gold reacted well, from 2105 to 1180 Tongue

I am interested as well in what your thoughts are about price movements.  From the charts it looks like it could go either way but somehow I just don't believe it will drop given the imminent release to the public of the Bitcoin ETF next week.

It doesn't really change anything imo because people who knew about bitcoin had the chance to buy bitcoin way before the ETF, and people who don't know about bitcoin won't know about bitcoin because there is an ETF in their brokerage account out of the millions of other funds.  I mean, someone eager to buy bitcoin isn't counting down to the day the ETF will launch so he can buy BTC's.  He would have bought already via circle, coinbase, lbc, stamp, etc a lot earlier.  The big money could buy at anytime via 2nd trust or I believe there is another fund that has huge minimums.

And for us speculators, well we already knew about the ETF a long time ago.

I concur with most of what you wrote however I think there is a very large class of potential investors who would not consider buying anything unless they can do so through their brokerage accounts.  Those same people have been hearing about Bitcoin for a long time now but had no channel to invest, a channel which is acceptable to them.

That ETF could eventually cause some short term rise but overall it's bearish as fuck as it finally gives a chance for all those investors who bought at 600-800 to cut their loses which they were not able to do so far.
