2181  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Luckynumber.me has holes in their provably fair system, allows for manipulation on: April 24, 2014, 04:33:20 PM
Something I also noticed:

Quote from: stunna
Another ridiculous detail is that the server time on site is different to actual server time as it uses javascript to calc individual server times. I have both my laptops open on luckynumber and the time is off by 2 sec. So effectively he can choose between the best few server times (with ease)

Given that they offer 60 coin payouts for individual bets with a very small bank it makes this possibility more concerning. This all goes without saying that giftcoins was unethical in stealing actual design files from PD that were unreleased, not just images. I will post more about that in the near future.
2182  Economy / Gambling / Re: UpDown.bt — Binary Options — BTC | Instant bets | Payouts in 60 sec. on: April 24, 2014, 02:10:00 AM
Site looks pretty slick, any plans to extend/adjust the period beyond 60 seconds? Like can I place a bet that gold will move higher over the next 24 hours rather than 60 seconds.

Cheers

Winner still not announced? That's strange...

Sorry for not posting here,

MedUSA , BDT_michael and were chosen as winners and contacted via PM. Prize was split between them. Great work and thanks to everyone who entered.

I'm having them make a few changes tonight to finalize their concepts to better fit us and will post the final ones here when complete.

Are you aware how stupid this is, what you just said? Get yourself together. Even if you do have a proof how much you paid design you can't put negative feedback on third person, again just because you said so, why should anyone believe you here? Negative feedback you could put on that "design" firm if any of this is true

I've sent you a PM answering your question. He himself has no interest in arguing with me as we are both personally aware of what he has done.

Also your logic is horribly distorted. I posted my reply below, if you'd like to reply with more off-topic posts I will not respond to them further, my PM is open to continue discussion regarding this as I've stated many times.

Let me paint this in a very simple and easy to understand manner. Let's say I run a shop that sells power tools and we hire a security firm to manage our security. A robber bribes our security guards with free doughnuts to leave his post. Said robber then goes and steals the design for an unreleased power tool and then uses that design to create his own. Did the robber not act unethically, is this only the security guards fault?

LOL @ Stunna being angry at someone "stealing" intellectual property.

You don't understand the situation, he bribed a designer who worked for the firm I hired to hand over our physical design files. This isn't a case of copying but rather theft. I enjoy competition, I do not appreciate being scammed for the money and time I put into those files though.

but how he knew, you hired that designer, so he gave him bribe and copy your PD3 design.

He knew because that same firm had designed the website Giftcoins for him and he is related to one of the firm's designers. That is why I was so confused when he posted a thread titled PD 3! I thought it was our designer posting a teaser, not a thief.

Anyways, I'd like to keep conversation on-topic. The most important thing I can do is stay focused on perfecting PD3 rather than trying to shame someone.

I really think you should blame that firm not him coz if its your design then that firm cheated you not him. and giving negative trust is not good coz of this.

It absolutely is the firm's fault for not securing the files properly and allowing untrustworthy people to access the files. That doesn't change the fact that he abused the situation to his advantage through bribery or coercion. It is important to note that these files weren't just leaked to the public, only a small group of designers had access to them.

I will be ignoring further comments regarding this as I don't want to give them further attention. If you want to discuss this feel free to send me a PM.

Oh Stunna, to me without any proof of what you are saying all this sounds like a fairytale.

And I see now, giving Giftcoins a negative trust based on this fairytale is just wrong, you trusted them with 20BTC, putting false claims into trust feedback. How did you exactly risk 20BTC with Giftcoins, did they fraud you for 20BTC, please elaborate, and no fairytales please. I doubt you did any business with Giftcoins so I don't understand how you risked those 20BTC

The ~20 BTC is for the money I had paid the firm for design work, he stole 20BTC worth of files. There is zero motivation for me to needlessly sling around mud, new dice sites appear daily and I applaud many of them. If you want to continue this conversation you can do so with me via PM.

Stunna, you have a great site but what you are doing is simply not cool at all. LN is currently better site then PD you like it or not so do something about it, release PD3 if this even exist as you are promising it for the last 3 months.

If you had both paid for a design and spent a significant of time working with designers on it and someone was able to bribe said designers for the ACTUAL physical design files and make use of them, how would you feel? I'm happy that you made a nice profit, that doesn't change the fact that what they did to me was unethical and pretty much downright scamming as I had paid significant amounts and put significant effort into those files. I had messaged the owner as far as a month ago asking him to kindly not use the stolen files which he did not listen to, these types of people are relentless and driven by greed and shouldn't be trusted in my opinion. When he posted this thread originally titled "PD3!" I originally thought it was our designer posting it as a joke and was confused at first, I did not expect this though.

As you said, I have a great site and we have many fantastic competitors such as ED,JD,CR,SD who push us to innovate and work harder and many people who have ripped off our design which is perfectly fine as I understand that you can't keep someone from stealing your released content. The fact that they managed to steal private files that did not belong to them and make use of it is just extremely unethical, you cannot deny that fact.

I'm not interested in debating this fact further and giving them further attention, I've reached out to the owner many times in the past about ceasing this and was ignored. I am just sharing my experience, take it as you will. I have shared what I wanted to and will stop posting here regarding this and giving them further undeserved attention.
2189  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyNumber.me | 5000 Satoshi Faucet | Instant Cashouts | 1% House Edge on: April 23, 2014, 11:11:16 PM
the site is cool, but the verification is fishy. the time on the roll is different from the time when i bet. could be due to lag, but it seems that the owner could be scamming us by selecting specific timestamps. I do not believe this provably fair system. no one else uses a timestamp. very suspicious.

It probably isn't, I doubt someone who abuses trust and steals files would make an ethical decision regarding provably fair. Given a short exchange with the owner, he thinks it is also alright to operate on a max profit of 60 coins with what appears to be personal holdings of 100 coins or less (maybe less than 60). If you want to mess around with their faucet, it seems like a pretty solid deal, I wouldn't trust them with my own money though.

when does pd3 come out? are you going to keep the same counter?

Yeah counters will stay the same.

We will probably not reset accounts either, but we're not sure at this current moment.

We just keep coming up and implementing more and more ideas (Without over complicated the simple aspect of dicing) to ensure a completely new, unique and superior experience for PD users!

I was reading where your a little upset with your new design getting out there. perfect solution is to release PD 3 today.

stop tinking with it. it's your baby but its time time to take market share. we can works out the little bugs. every day it no out there it's like  a week going by.

right now is like 1998 with the internet.

Since everyone has been waiting so long it would be wrong of me to release something that wasn't up to the standards I've set for this.

Anyone named jake(rs) + Bitcoin industry = not to be trusted.

Also, i find that gif image highly suspect. I bet you can replicate it in Chrome with the elements toolbar quite easily.

The point I'm getting at is this isn't just suspicious/shady behavior in itself. The reason why I posted this was because 999Dice claimed to have a bank of 3000 coins and was taking large bets and then left bitcointalk when myself and tomatocage asked for proof. If people choose to use the site I won't stop you, but it is important to warn others to prevent a potential future scam.

4 @ 1.8

This bid is void unless you've Pm'd theymos in advance as he noted to you in the last auction.

Regardless, 3 @ 1.8

2196  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auctioning coinstart.io on: April 22, 2014, 06:26:02 AM
starting bid that was

Ill wait for TF to reply then I can re-open the auction.

Please don't do business with that scammer TF. I am sorry for being a douche but this kid stole $4.1 MILLION! We need to exile him from this community.

He never actually stole anything from me. Im fine with his presence.

Ohhhh so when affects you then you will care, well I didn't lose any money but scammers hurt the community. That is very sad and upsetting. I will never do business with you and now I must ignore you.

People please don't do business with these people we must make scammers see that they can't come back to the community and cancer people can't help them do that.

People who scam others are a passive issue to me. People who scam me are active issues to me.

First thing you said reminds me of:

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me."

I'm not going to give you advice who you should and should not deal with, but if you have this attitude nobody will have any sympathy for you if you get scammed. It is insulting to the people who did get scammed when you act this way.
2197  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 999Dice is a scam on: April 22, 2014, 06:02:50 AM
I was over 999dice.com and found this link in the chat. My name on 999dice.com is TomFoolery (750897).
Not sure how this site is added to the scam list, but it's one of the only BTC sites that I've played and made BTC on.
Well i would like to say something here i dun know about others here as i am new but i have used 999dice and also the bot made by justin and i can tell both are legit the bot is not fake to increase stats or something ...  as i have used it personally so just gotta say haters gona hate always .. good luck others who are having fun on 999dice

Devil
its not a scam 100% working vouch from me clio

3 Brand new accounts with zero previous posts defending the site all at once. Do you expect me to value your opinion? The fact of the matter is the owner lied about having a large amount of funds and then left bitcointalk after being exposed, is that the sort of operation people should trust? The owner lied about having funds he did not possess and used these to try and artificially boost his reputation. We also have reason to believe that he is a persistent scammer from this community named jake.

Two of those accounts right above this post were created within 1 minute of eachother today, the other within 10-15 mins of the others. This only makes you look worse. Thanks for reminding us all how much of a scam you are.
2198  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 21, 2014, 09:23:19 PM
I know one solution that would stop people from jumping sig trains now and then, so I thought I'd share it here and if Stunna likes it, he can think about it.

Reward Loyality

Give members that have continued to support PD sigs an extra satoshi per post or a fixed % extra in payment for each month they have continued to stay with said campaign. This would give people who respect Stunna and PD an edge over those who keep switching for a higher cashout whenever something else changes their payouts. This would also meam that Stunna would not need to update current payouts/post each time as people have started accumulating months within the same sig campaign and are already gaining more than what other sites offer.

This all wouldn't even br hard to do, just write down all names of thr ones that get paid and see if they decide to stick with PD again next month.

My sig as been reserved for PD ever since I joined the forum and I plan on keeping it that way. Smiley

Sorry for typos, wrote this in my phone.
This is a great idea and I sure Stunna must think about this and then he can stop this switch and many members will be loyal with him

Certainly not a bad idea, keeping track of this could be a bit difficult though.

We've been encountering quite a few bugs particularly with PVP that we are working on ironing out before launching. Something I'm thinking about adding is a "Streak" feature on the auto-bet tool. I've noticed tons of players that will bet 0BTC many times until they reach a loss streak of 3-5 in a row or so. With the streak option this could be done automatically. This doesn't quite change the odds but I know a lot of people still feel more comfortable by fulfilling certain superstitions.

On another note, there's been a massive delay on launching this. I firmly believed it would have been ready for late January. please bear with us while we try and perfect this for your enjoyment!

I voiced my concerns on their previous thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=573939.msg6268679#msg6268679

The design change is an improvement but I still recommend proceeding with caution with regards to investments, I haven't spoken up in the past on other sites which I now regret.
