0.1BTC or her for the night?

I wouldn't even touch her if you paid me. I guess we have a totally different sense of beauty. To me, this woman looks UGLY as hell. Those lips... So abnormally large, almost like a deformity-causing mutation. Yuck!

Not a joke, I'm serious.

She was just chasing parked cars.  The swelling will go down in a few weeks.

EDIT: Oh, and someone postulated earlier that I use Kraken. This is not the case. I did for one sale of $100k USD, and found it to be a complete nightmare, to extract the funds.

Why was it a nightmare? How long did it eventually take?

Years ago I read a complaint that they promise unlimited withdrawals, but in reality only allow $50k a year. When I recently checked their site it says they allow $100+ million a year for their top tier. However I haven't had a chance to ask anyone about their experience of a really big withdrawal yet.

Possibly an international complication, but I've been doing sub-10k from Kraken regularly this year, and getting average 3 day transfers.  When I was doing bigger ones ~2016 and prior it was 3-4 weeks.  It was no different than bitstamp or Canadian exchanges in that regard, so I took it as normal.  Banks suck, what can I say.  If they want records of where I bought my BTC, they can dig for an exchange 7 years defunct, I guess.  So far, (2013? KYC done) no questions, just delays.

good to know your life is not just 24/7 daytrading on paypal.  Tongue

As I noted earlier, I feel gross buying BitcoinPP. Don't think I'm going to do it any more, until they start offering a way of transferring out.

If they end up keeping it entirely within their system in a custodial fashion, that's, like, not cool, dude.

Ain't gonna support that long-term.

Another addiction  Grin   Kick it Bob!  Kick it!

How high will BTC go when ETH screws up again and all those BTC on eth are lost/burnt?

   Fuel for this fire?
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 10, 2020, 09:03:09 PM
XMRBTC chart looking more and more like a quadruple bottom or a 5x bottom.

Feels like April-May 2016 currently.

   Multi-bottom.  That's a weird picture.

The floor is hot to touch.  We recoil instantly, every time.  I think if this bottom breaks down, it will be from a huge BTC gap-up.  Would surprise me less though, if XMR just clung to BTC's pant-leg and crawled up it at the same time.  Let's get on with it.

A thought I'd like WO opinions on:

How many BTC have been lost/burned thus far?  It's easy enough to do.  What does that do to the supply side of the FOMO equation?  Like a card game with fewer and fewer dealt cards, you just don't know what's in play.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: December 09, 2020, 11:06:30 PM
Call it "arbitary", maths and sciences with the "quotes", or even "chart-voodoo", but it does actually show that there's a pattern.

Traders sometimes say "the trend is your friend, until it ends." The point being that all trends do eventually end. You can only expect to ride them for so long.

In this case, I wonder if people are overestimating their ability to keep selling the top of that logarithmic channel. Everyone thinks they can sell $80K or $100K but........what if the mass adoption scenario happens? We could be looking at $500K or $1M in the next cycle if you think about it.

Selling at 80k or 100k is a no brainer.  Doing that and having that be near the top, and then also buying again at the bottom of what dip may or may not come...  the complexity of those additional factors can wreck a plan damn fast.  Sell at 80k.  great. OOps, the top shot to 500k, and the crash to a spike low of 140k, back to 1000k+ ... Oops.  Think it can't happen?

Don't bother getting out your credit card to pay, fiat is not accepted.
You should post prices in Bitcoin, even more so as fiat is not accepted.
If Bitcoin cannot be the unit of account on MS Satoshi, I don’t know where it can be.

Actually that’s true, if fiat isn’t excepted.... then don’t bother to say anything fiat-related....

Cheers, I hope te be on it one day :-)

I think that's the Tether price  Cheesy

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still fighting for $19k... currently $18885USD/$26190CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Was over 25k a week ago, but has been under for days now.  I have yet to see 26k, but I typically only watch Kraken for CAD...  Barely hanging on to 24k right now.
232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 08, 2020, 10:28:57 PM
The dynamics are currently interesting, and not like what we have seen in the past.  I am going to speculate what might be happening under the hood at this time.

-The retail exchange volumes are up, but not much yet.
-At the same time we are becoming aware of a likely large increase in OTC market volumes.  Does anyone have access to ANY of the OTC trading desk volumes?

I speculate that the OTC market is most likely fairly lit up.  And if I was a player with big money I would do the following:  I would make large purchases on the OTC markets as often as I could, and I would be strategically market dumping portions of these purchases on the retail platforms to suppress retail price, and therefore also control the OTC price since I would imagine it is connected.

Done well this could create a stable price at which to load up as much OTC bitcoin as I possibly could.

If this is being done, then it is going to multiply the fuel in the eventual rocket by bottling up all the momentum that the OTC purchases were not making in real time.  Effectively it is hedging big purchases with a short on the retail platforms.  It ends up being levered to a degree by the fact that retail volumes (at least for trade sizes) are smaller and it would not take much to move, or suppress the market.

Even if that strategy is just a paranoid fantasy, the rest about the retail and OTC markets is true without a doubt.  And even if the big players are not manipulating the whole market by the retail shops, then we will STILL see the eventual intersection of demand with supply in a magnitude never seen before.  But the fuse is lit.  And the smart money can see this (MSTR LOL).  Don;t you think they are going to do everything in their power to delay the inevitable?

And by my back of the napkin calculations there is no way for this particular market to sustain it's current course for very much longer.  Eventually the early whales will be done selling.  I wonder what Chamath is doing.  I think he is too smart to sell much.  On other other hand he's definitely in the green on his purchase.

Personally I think a drop to 14k is not very likely unless it is purposefully dumped there by the biggest players.  And though the motivation to do so is outlined as well as I can above, I just do not think that strategy is going to be able to last much longer.  The only thing that scares me are the big Central Banks and their pet governments.  They will have an incentive to use regulatory powers to crush the market while they do their late accumulation, and then "come around" loosening those regs once they have loaded up.

Interesting times.

Actually, this idea came to me last week, but i wasn't focused enough to write it down in a transparent, logical way.
I deleted the draft after the second attempt. Blame it on the weed  Tongue
Anyway, when bitcoin count in circulation decreases far enough, the OTC's will likely follow the shooting retail price, and fomo surge will probably eat up huge sell-offs just like that. Also, if regulation continues, these kind of market manipulations will go bust and therefore vanish sooner or later.

This scenario is pretty much a given, IMO.

IIRC Saylor had his bought on exchange.  Coinbase and others will handle the bids for your firm, and according to them, they have been doing so at below average price, and without moving the market.  That just means it will move all at once, later  Shocked Cool
233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top 20 days for Bitcoin on: December 08, 2020, 10:07:13 PM
OMG. JPY is is actually higher ranked than CAD.

Who'da thunk it?

At least we're all still top 10.

Look at it as JPY passing CAD in the race to the bottom.  Interesting race, with USD shitting the bed.

Looks like it's swelling up, getting ready to throw out a green shoot.

Shitty gun..
“Grenades” don’t even explode..

Apparently the thing can pierce 2 inches of hardened steel armor. That's kind of impressive but a bit much for deer season.

We got some big deer.  Now hand it over.

Bob, can we heli-hunt pigs with it at your ranch?

I just found out that there exists a belt fed automatic grenade machine gun. My life has changed.....

Merry Christmas! Smiley

Thank you, what a beauty, now if I could only get a real claymore as well.

Astonishing.
I thought that 20mm sniper rifle, which' ammo basically rips bodies apart, would be the top for decades. I was wrong  Cool

I have shot a 20 mm cannon in the marines in the 80s, that was fun. They are unfortunately decommissioned now.

360rpm.  Shocked
A different beast.
I would prefer lurking and invisibly take out my enemies, one by one. Meditative action.

You don't have to shoot full auto, you can shoot single shots as well

A grenade sniper.  whooda thunkit.

It would have to be 19.5mm and non-explosive in Canada.  Hmmm.  What could the socialist government be afraid of, I wonder?  Oh right.  Drive-by grenading.  Silly me, I forgot how prevalent that is.

Well it was going up there for a moment.. then... poof. Smiley  I must have jinxed it.

Not supposed to light them.  they melt.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 06, 2020, 10:53:29 PM
Agree with cAPSLOCK on the XMR/BTC - the USD price is nice to see, but it's the price against BTC that matters - an asset that rises against BTC means you're better off than being in BTC itself.

This looks like a solid bottom to me - it's been thoroughly tested - around the 0063 mark - I think it won't break down from here.  In Spring we should be spiking up to around the .013 mark.  Our patience will be rewarded.

YOUR LINE IS TOO DAMN LOW. (insert Samuel L Jackson meme here)  Grin Grin Grin

Because of their delirium classic trust?

Think of the average American. 50% of them are dumber than that.

I don't really like this American bashing that is displayd every now and then, even by Americans themselves. I have lived in Colorado and the people I met were no dumber than the average Swede.

Western Average holds.  It's not a high bar...
