ZERO.........
You mean infinity? Huh

and then you wonder why other posters call you a troll?

BTW, can you guess how many months and pages later devs will fight through DPOS? Huh

ZERO.........  What do I win?

Have a quick look the exchange, why the price is crashing and there is almost no bug order?
Not crashing, just not enough buy interest. This may change after DAPPs.
As we've said from day one, we won't focus on the price or any of those external factors during development.

Take a look at the Notices box on the right side of the Poloniex XCR page:

https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_xcr

"XCR Frozen at Dev request. - Posted by GeezUp at 2015-04-09 17:17:27"

I've been thinking about this some more.  If this is all some kind of snafu where Polo misinterpreted a temporary shutdown of withdrawals as a true coin freeze, then it's not enough for Polo to just say in their Notices box, "XCR unfrozen."  May I suggest:

"XCR unfrozen, devs announce successful changeover to new 0.2.0 DPoS blockchain".

Polo is not frozen, they are just too lazy to post a correction.  I have been trading on Polo for several days.

I sent in a support ticket.  You might as well.

Great news. I'm remembering NHZ, it was just Nxt clone, but they've got lots of people running nodes for rewards. I think it would make a lot of sense to reward the first batch of users who want to register a delegate. Later there most likely will be a competition between people who want to be a delegate, but at the very beginning you'd need to encourage people somehow.

Delegates get a share of the registration fees of all later delegates.  That's one reward.  We have been discussing that and many other ways of involving the community, and rewarding their support.

There are great things in the planning and programing stages.  So, hang in there.  It gets better.

We would like to show you previews of things we are working on but our ideas have already been copied by NXT and NODE prior to our official release.

I would appreciate it, and so will you IF YOU DONT REGISTER ANY MORE DELEGATES for the time being.

We are having an update scheduled for Friday.  I cannot give any more information, so dont ask........... PLEASE.

This is in response to the community and discussion in the foundation.

Wulf,

Your uptime is still 100%...... what are you using to host the delegate?

I would like to say while some people think that starik69 is troll, he always finds all the little bugs and bring light to all dark corners that others prefer to ignore.

Yes, its true...... the cockroaches show you where to clean.

Starik69 has had some posts that contributed to the community.  He has a delegate on standby status.  He has only 590000 votes.  half are mine.

He needs more votes.

Yes, this is correct. These past 2 days I have been closely monitoring my delegate node and have seen it drop down from 100% towards 75%. For now I've switched forging from the virtual servers towards my home computer to try and pinpoint the problem. I'll be working on fixing this all day. I'm also currently running it on a Windows Server Instance, which could be causing some problems.

We have found that the closer the hosts to the internet backbone, the less the latency.

We started with delegates on hosts in Amsterdam, which resulted in low % for the stasDelegates.

Matt moved his to servers near the Google servers in Georgia.  He is on the 90s now.

The 10s blocks are just not home computer connection friendly.

PM Eric (samsmith16) at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=303285 and he can help you set up a $5 a month hosted delegate like mine.

Today is the staff meeting..... an API to see the delegate votes and the node votes is in the discussion list.

Uptimes are not ideal....... we are learning much this way.  The uptime is never reset, so runs from the beginning of a delegates entry into the 101 Club.  My delegate, Litoshi, was running on a home computer with a DSL connection, and had really bad latency and thus low forging %.  Then we switched to a hosted server, but it was down for 12 hrs.  That really lowered my % up time.  Now i am hitting 100% of all blocks, but it will take months of 100% to raise my low of 25% to the 90 area.

Two of the newest nodes had latency problems when they were first graduated to the 101 Club.  We watched the delegates go from 100 to 33 to 25 and then up to the 50s.  They seem to have settled in the 75% area, but again, t will take lots of 100% to bring it to the 90s.

I have the same dry sense of humor....... can be hard to tone it down sometimes, especially when the issue is something you are passionate about.

As for your English....... In the US, we are not critical of how foreigners use the language, and actually find it cute and charming at times.  An american will never laugh at your misuse of the language.  Other cultures are not so forgiving.  BTW, "english" is a language in transition to a new language, due to the exposure to the international community and the incorporation of new foreign words, news speak, and acronym usage (CPU, GPU, MPH, DSL).  The new language that is forming from this melding is called TERRAN.

When you guys form a delegate, you need to enable FORGING. so that when you are graduated to 101 status, you are forging.

right now we have 2 new delegates, with 0% uptime.

EDIT:  this was fixed.  Please enable forging as soon as you form a delegate.

Looking in logs found the reason for abnormal traffic pattern:

Got very many lines like this

Where is your node running from?  Is it a home computer behind a NAT?

The 10 second blocks are not friendly to home or work computers on DSL lines.  You need to be a s close to the internet backbone as you can.

I started with my delegate on my GPU miner, connected to a DSL line.  The altency was to long, and my percentage of successfully forged blocks dropped to 25%.  Now I am on a hosted server, for $5 a month, and my delegate has forged 100% f the blocks since then.  My uptime still shows as 52%, because it takes a lot of 100% to raise 25% to 90%.  The uptime is counted since the delegate first became one of the 101 top delegates, and is never reset.  This may change in future releases.

Do you plan to update OP ?

What's going on?

By the way, am I right that nobody can't be voted as a delegate, even if the guy with 8 410 009 XCR (the third wallet) will vote for starik69, it doesn't matter, cause the foundation controlling the majority votes FOREVER Huh

Check out few last pages, this question was answered several times.

Ok. I have reread the last posts. I've found two answers, each of which is not answering my quistion: Will the foundation be forever the only force, who will decide to whom to be a delegate?

Quote from: Litoshi
The Delegate Reward Peogram will be started after we fix a few issues, and have a stable network.  The foundation delegates will also to voted down so others can forge.  It was necesary to have delegates with votes higher than what the largest XCR holder could produce.  HINT: Bter has 26 Million XCR still.

This poster just says that if foundation wants it would vote down its delegates. And if it doesn't want it can (HAS AN ABILITY) to be the only power who deciedes.

Theoretically community voting power is 89% compared to the foundation 11%, so everything depends on us.

Yep, as far as I know that's correct

Yes, look at the top accounts........ Bter still has 18.9 million in the cold wallet, and 3.9 million in the hot wallet.  If you guys would get your XCR out of Bter, there would be more voting power.

The 11 million wallet is the foundation.

The delegates have 31 million votes because that is the combined XCR of all of the devs.  15 million of that was purchased from Bter and Polo since the IPO.  There is still additional XCR we have on the exchanges, bc we are still buying.

Did you notice that the recent created delegates have been voted up.  Last night, Matt, Eric and I changed our votes to vote for the new guys and down voted the foundation spare nodes.  Our plan is for community involvement.

The public has nearly 70 million votes, and can push every dev delegate out.

We would like to see more community involvement.

If you look at the list of accounts Mal posted a few pages back, you will see that half the accounts have 1 XCR or less.  Another 250 have 50 XCR only, from the faucet.  Most of the public voting power is tied up in Bter with a few whales and minnows that dont keep up with the changes in XCR; and are just checking the price daily.

How can these 71 of the 0.2.0 launch Delegates have balances of 89-546 XCR yet be listed as not receiving anything from the Genesis block?  I'm not saying there's a problem, I'm just curious.

If they bought IPO from Bter they would get their coins from Bter instead of the genesis.

I think it's funds from forging as an active delegate since the launch of 0.2.0. The accounts could have started with 0 but have earned fees from any transfers as well as registrations since launch. I don't believe these earned fees are showing up in the transaction history on the blockchain explorer. This might be something we want to look at trying to show, or at least have a spot on the blockchain explorer within a single account that shows career earnings or something to that effect.

The transaction history on my wallet shows my transfers but not the fees earned. The balance on the transaction history is correct, and includes the fees earned.

The forging page is the only place to see the total fees earned.  Only the past 20 forged blocks are listed on the forging page. There is not an option to scroll back.  Perhaps a future feature needed here.

Wulf,

Perhaps we also need to inform the public that the delegate may not show up in the delegate list until the completion of the 101 forging cycle.  SO if you register a delegate, and then you dont see it right away, wait 20 mins.

Wulf may have been tying to spend the 10K before the forging and confirmation was completed.  We have 10 secnd transactions, but need 6 confirms, and with the failed forgings from many delegates, it is more like 1-1/2 mins to complete rather that 1 min.

Hey guys

Is there a minimum transaction amount needed register to become a Delegate or enforce a second password on your account?

I've tried to create a new account for forging only (for security reasons I didn't use my own current account), and sent 10 000 XCR to it, and attempted to register to become a Delegate, but I got an error saying : "Invalid transaction amount." I've created around 10 more transactions (just sending 10-25 XCR back and forth between accounts), but still the same error occurs.

What is the minimum transaction amount needed to become a Delegate (if any)?

10,000 XCR in your 0.2 version wallet.  Make sure you are not using 0.1.9.  If so, you are on the wrong block chain.

100 XCR for second pass word.

Delegate can forge with 0 balance if there are enough votes to place in the top 101.

If you are 10228249788283002226C, you have 12000 in the node, and should be able to register the delegate.

Mal,

Delegates do not carry balances; nodes do.  A delegate is just the forging tab to a node.  The balance you see is the XCR balance in the wallet/node.

As for the genesis block... the genesis delegates were created as part of the original programing.  The existing wallets of the foundation and devs were used for this.  The 30million total votes is the combined votes of all the foundation and dev wallets, that are not stored on exchanges.

All 101 delegates were needed to kick-start the blockchain. thus, we were not able to register delegates in the same manner as the users now.
Its the chicken and egg thing..... we needed the delegates to start the blockchain and to forge the delegate registrations, but need the blockchain to start the delegate registrations.  The delegates were formed prior to the snapshot of the old block chain.

As for Matts one delegate that is a little different, this happened at the final configuration when we snapshot the bc and tested the nodes.  We were making last second changes to the ownership of the delegates.  Matts additional delegate was an add after the snapshot, as I remember, cuz we were one short.

I'm not sure where to post this so I will just leave it here. After a few troubleshoot tips given by Passion_LTC (Very Helpful ^^), my installation of the Crypti 0.2.0 in Windows 8.1 x64 is still hanging. The steps we took to try and fix the problem were:

1) Uninstall any trace of 0.1.9g, and installed a fresh 0.2.0
2) "Run as administrator" on the shortcut
3) Tried to run it compatible to Windows 7
4) Waited around 15-30mins for loading

Here is a pastebin of my log file: http://pastebin.com/84BWBb1c

And here is a screenshot of the program hanging:

If there are any more recommendations from the Crypti community I will gladly try them out. Thanks in advanced.

You may have gotten started on your own fork, it has happened to me as well.

The solution is to delete the blockchain.db file in the directory, and restart the node.

How is this mitigated? If there is no financial incentive to secure the network, it will then be financially beneficial to ATTACK it, no?

I think if you have a real business on Crypti, you will have the motivation to be a delegate to secure the network because you make profit and living on your business, not necessary to make profit by being a forger.

YES!  My point exactly from six months ago!

I talked previously about a dual Bitcoin / Crypti box, but for vendor access in accepting both coins for transactions, not mining.  Vendors would buy the box to process Bitcoin, and stay for the use of Crypti once Bitcoin crashes.  As it will.

A desire to Mine / forge is a get-rich-quick attitude that must be transcended to implement a cryptocoin commerce system where vendors run nodes only to process transactions and the network is "formed" and "strengthened" from that motivation alone....

We gotta go BEYOND Bitcoin....

Yes, Mal, I agree with you.  Bitcoin is the "Ford Model T" of the cybercoin universe.  Unfortunately, ground breaking inventions are rarely all inclusive and perfectly functional, but they are revolutionary enough and being first, tend to stick around for a long time.

The Model T was still a a large percentage of cars on the road until the early 1950s. A 30 year run!

Bitcoin will be THE major player for at least another year, and A major player for many years after that.  Our goal is to make XCR one of the Bitcoin replacements.  Perhaps the "Chevy Corvette" of the crypto world?
