221  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CAN I BUY CRYPTO ON EBAY? on: February 27, 2024, 06:40:06 PM
Wow, buying crypto on eBay? That takes me back! My first attempt getting into crypto was on eBay too, did not go so well though.  Taught me real quick you need reputable sources in crypto.  Nowadays there are safer ways to get into it and  ebay seems so old school compared to centralized exchanges and DeFi platforms.  At least I have learned from those early days.

LeezHamilton.. aka bitcoinmoses.. shut up and disappear again for a few months.. come up with something actually worthy of posting

You shouldn't give that troll the time of day or react to his nonsense.

Responding to troll often just makes the problem worse since trolls feed off the attention.  Instead, the best way is usually to just ignore him, and with no reaction from others, he will lose interest and go away.
223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the challenges of developed nations nation? on: February 25, 2024, 07:58:33 PM
Yeah, I get that it is simple to read the news and see stuff about voting or sanctions in developed countries, but they got their own big issues too, just not the same kinds.   I mean take the growing gap between the rich and poor, climate change messing stuff up more every year, populations getting older...  and things like that.

So Id say while the specific issues might not be exactly the same there is still very real challenges these countries have to figure out.  The world is complicated, and every place has its own unique situation happening.
224  Economy / Reputation / Re: What Sort of Signature is "FUCK Royse777"? on: February 25, 2024, 07:07:19 PM
I rarely participate actively in the forum because I have other jobs and businesses.
I just want to know why you chose to cheat on the review campaigns if you have other jobs and businesses?

For fun. Trust me.
~

Wait. Are you saying that you cheated in bounty campaigns with multiple alt accounts for fun? Not for the money? Then I assume you have no problem returning the money that you unfairly received?
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of gambling sites are scams ! on: February 24, 2024, 09:47:24 PM
Finding a trustworthy gambling site these days can really be a roll of the dice.  You gotta sift through a bunch of shiny ads and promos to find the truly upstanding establishments.  Of course, instincts serve a fella well in that regard and  if something is too flashy or makes promises that ring hollow, best keep walking.

Now Im not saying all these gambling sites are trying to pull wool over eyes, but healthy skepticism kept many of us from losing our hats.  Do some poking around check reputations, see what other folks are saying.  Most times it pays to be cautious and do homework before throwing coin at anything, especially in gambling.

At end of day, finding a good gambling site comes down to gut checks and due diligence.  Take time to sniff out some of the places, and dont let greed or impatience cloud better judgment.  Do that and your odds look pretty favorable.  Just remember – the house always has a slight edge.  Play smart, play safe, and know when to walk away.  Thats how you come out ahead.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help with bitcoin storage on: February 24, 2024, 09:23:13 PM
Ok, and then how do you get the money out of your wallet? Just click on the "send" option and enter my exchange address and then withdraw?

You asked how to buy and store Bitcoin, so I assume that you want to receive coins to your wallet, and not send them out of your wallet, right?

If you bought bitcoins in a centralized exchange (Coinbase, Binance, OKX,...) then you should have the option to withdraw coins from the exchange to your personal wallet. However, the withdrawal process may vary slightly depending on the specific exchange. I recommend checking the instructions directly on your chosen exchange's website for detailed guidance.
227  Other / Meta / Re: There should be a keyword report and keyword ban option to reduce spam on: February 24, 2024, 07:44:00 PM
I have also noticed a whole bunch more spam posts with those keywords popping up lately, over the past few days.  And, I have reported some of them to moderators myself.  But, I couldnt help but see that some of those topics got deleted super quick, like within minutes even.  So I am thinking at least one of the mods is keeping real close tabs on new posts as they go up and taking out the trash before anybody even reports anything.

I think that creating a keyword reporting option would introduce new problems for moderators and probably cause false positive reports. For example, what if someone creates a scam accusation against that project?
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the highest amount of money you've ever bet in a single game? on: February 24, 2024, 07:15:40 PM
It's a pretty forward and simple question, which is...
1. What is the highest amount of money you've bet on a single game in the past?

It was a long time ago, so I cannot remember the exact amount. I think it was a few hundred dollars worth in btc.

Quote
2. Did you win or lose that game?

I actually did win. That was my biggest online gambling win ever.

Quote
3. Was it an amount you were actually ready to comfortably lose?

Actually, that was a mistake. I was playing the Martingale strategy on a classic dice game at a crypto casino, and instead of doubling the bet amount, I accidentally clicked on MAX BET. This happened at a time when the casino did not have a pop-up warning before going all-in on a bet.
229  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are most scammers from Nigeria? on: February 23, 2024, 07:20:52 PM

Out population is much and economy isn't all that strong to carter for some of or people but an average Nigerian is an hard working person that can survive in the midst of a hard and tough economy.

But maybe thats not the only problem here.  What about education? I saw you mention somewhere else that you dont care much for formal schooling - you just focus on making money.  Frankly that comment struck me as misguided.  Seems like something only someone without much education would say.  So could that be part of the problem in your country? Like, people dont get enough general education or training?

Im just thinking out loud and  it is probably more complicated than that.  There is likely bigger forces at work shaping how hard people work and what opportunities they have.  But education seems like one piece of the puzzle that we shouldnt ignore.  An educated population tends to contribute more to an economy overall.  What do you think - does lack of education play any role here, or is it almost all down to each persons character and initiative? Curious to hear what you think.

Isn't it all about money?
~

Money isnt everything when it comes to being successful or happy in life.  No doubt having enough dough in the bank takes care of a lotta worries, but only chasing the almighty dollar can lead to a hollow and unfulfilling life.  I get wanting a flashy lifestyle on the quick, but skipping the boring fundamentals is like building a mansion on quicksand - looks nice til life's storms hit and knock it down flat.

I get that some folks wonder what the heck we really learn in school.  Does it seem like stuff like math and science dont apply to the real world at all? And foreign languages - yeah, I get you dont technically need them if you are never planning to talk to anyone outside your country.  But keeping yourself boxed in like that leaves you pretty limited in life, right?  No harm in keeping an open mind rather than writing things off as useless just because they don't seem obviously practical at first glance.

most of us have missed the opportunity to buy bitcoin when the price  was very low and we kept on saying that it will come down .

I am just curious where you got the idea that most of us thought bitcoin would come down? Got any stats or something showing people expected that? Cause I'd be interested to take a look if you do.

But anyway, no use crying over spilt milk now - bemoaning what might have been wont make prices drop again.  Better to buckle down, do your homework, figure your plan going forward know what risks you can stomach.  No one ever said this investing stuff was easy.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Updates from the COPA v Craig Wright trial on: February 20, 2024, 10:12:11 PM
Copa's and core lawyers don't even dispute that he was the one that provided firewalls and other solutions for big companies in australia , how a fraud can do that ? Did you know that ?

The kind of security expert whose personal computer systems get hacked all the time. Every time someone exposes his lies with concrete evidence: "Someone else gained access to my PC!" Did you know that?
233  Economy / Lending / Re: Small loan request on: February 20, 2024, 09:14:03 PM
Yes I will give money, if I get interest and get people like me

Money doesnt just fall from the sky. Most people have to work hard for it. But it seems you just want to cut corners by taking something that doesnt belong to you. That wouldnt be fair, would it?
234  Economy / Lending / Re: Small loan request on: February 19, 2024, 10:30:21 PM
Absolutely not. I want to take risk with my own money. But want to limited into only 40 USDT. If I get much money in hand then there may be chance of losing all. For this reason I want to start with limited fund and will backup with by my salary.

In that case, I suggest you only deposit as much money as you want to risk, and do not deposit more than that if you lose. Im not sure how much self-control you have, but its the only way to keep yourself from going too deep.

Absolutely getting tired to express my requirement.

Right. Where did you even get the idea that you can get someone else's money without any effort? Would you give your money to some random dude you meet on the internet just like that?
235  Economy / Lending / Re: Small loan request on: February 19, 2024, 09:03:32 PM
What type of collateral do you want to get for 30 usdt?

I see that you havent even glanced at the pinned topic I shared in my previous response.

Here you go:

What is considered collateral?

Collateral is something that can easily be resold to cover the loan value plus interest should the loaner default on the loan.

- The best collateral is another crypto-currency, such as Ethereum (also written as ETH).  Coins must be moderately traded on multiple exchanges.
- Some digital wares such as domain names can be considered as long as the user cannot recover it.
- Small valuable items that can be shipped though the mail - i.e. gold, silver, iphones, etc.
- Large items, such as a motorcycle or guitar can be used if you live close to the person giving you the loan.  Try localbitcoins.com

These are just some examples. Of course, you can also offer something else of value.

I want to just check my performance with real fund but small. If I wait for the pay day, I may loose all my salary.  So I want to trade now. If I loose I will make my mind refresh. I will pay back 40 USDT only and stop forex trading forever. By this way I may keep myself protected from big loss.

Sorry, but that makes absolutely no sense.  You say you are unsure of your abilities and dont want to risk your own funds. So why would you risk someone elses money?
236  Economy / Lending / Re: Small loan request on: February 19, 2024, 08:39:42 PM
I am asking small loan as i am not finding any way from my family and friends. You are also new. Please do not post or comment if you do not want to give me loan

You have no right to ask for other people's money without offering something in return. In the case of loans, it is usually proper collateral.

Read here what proper collateral means:

The rule of "No Collateral, No Loan" means that in order to get a loan you must give collateral that is equal, or preferably higher to the amount you are being loaned.

NB: I will talk to lender personally submitting proper documents. I will not share everything publicly. Please stop from unwanted commenting

Personal documents do not serve as proper collateral because they lack intrinsic value to the lender in the case of a loan default.

Btw, you have no right to limit what people can and cant comment on because this is a public discussion platform. Of course, you can start a self-moderating thread, but if you do that in the Lending board I will tag your account with negative trust. So, good luck with that.
237  Economy / Lending / Re: cryptocurrency loan on: February 19, 2024, 07:46:28 PM
Can anyone lend 20 dollars in bitcoin?, I have no guarantees, I can pay 25 on Friday this week

I could, but why would I?

You are brand new who registered 5 minutes before posting this request. I have no reason to trust your honest intentions, and you have done nothing to convince me otherwise.
238  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Can't boot umbrelOS on: February 19, 2024, 04:26:25 PM
I've tried everything and I think the problem is that it doesn't recognize the microSD, I'll try with a different SD and I'll update you. Thank you

How did you format your SD card?
Out of the box, most new cards just have one big FAT32 partition, which works fine for basic data storage under Linux.  But if you want to actually boot and run Linux off the card, you need to set up two partitions - a small FAT32 partition for bootloader and a larger EXT4 partition for the root filesystem.
239  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are newbies afraid to comment on threads of highly ranked members? on: February 18, 2024, 09:08:34 PM
The reason why you feel scared to contribute to threads that are started by high-rank members is because you may lack the right content to contribute on the topic that can be qualify as an on-topic reply, and the reason may because of your low level of knowledge is that area of discussion so my advice is that, you should keep building your knowledge to be able to have what to add to the discussion and having that knowledge os what will eradicate that fear from your heart and build that confidence in you to be able to meet the standard.
Although I never had such fear and if I didn't have what to contribute to the discussion but find the topic interesting, I would rather read others' comments on such topics and if possible I would make extra effort to search to know more about the topic.

You make a good point.  Not knowing much about something can make folks afraid to join conversations, particularly with high-ranking members.  Reading up is always smart.  Though sometimes it aint just a lack of know-how, but worrying about being judged for not having it fully formed.  Sometimes, even if I got worthwhile stuff to say, feeling like I gotta come across perfect-like makes me clam right up.

But that is my personal problem that I still have to work on. The main point is that on a platform like this we can all contribute to a discussion by sharing what we know, asking questions, and building on each other's ideas.  Even if we dont have all the answers, we can still participate meaningfully and learn from each other.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling between the past and nowadays on: February 18, 2024, 07:47:27 PM
Just consider how computers, smartphones, and the internet have provided unprecedented access and convenience - allowing people to play from virtually anywhere at any time.

As for whats next, I agree the future looks incredibly intriguing.  Some possibilities that come to mind: virtual reality casinos could enable remarkably immersive experiences, making players feel like they are right on the floor of a Vegas casino.  Biometric security like fingerprint or facial recognition could greatly bolster fraud prevention and streamline ID verification,  and artificial intelligence may pave the way for all kinds of creative gaming innovations like dynamically adjusting the difficulty to sustain excitement.

Beyond those ideas, networked gaming could bring multi-player experiences to new levels.  Integrating cryptocurrency and blockchain technology could also facilitate secure, instantaneous payments around real-money games.  But who knows - we likely cant even envision some of the most trailblazing advancements still to emerge! This industry has always been hugely innovative, so the skys truly the limit moving forward.

What other game-changing developments do you envision technology might make possible down the road?
