1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to run a bounty campaign? on: February 21, 2023, 08:11:19 PM
~
Can a newbie become a bounty manager? now, to go from newbie to junior member, you must need to get merit and getting merit is really very difficult. I don't know the rules about bounty managers, but if newbies are allowed, why not?
~

Well , if you ask me, bounty managers typically require experience and knowledge in the field, as well as familiarity with the rules and regulations of the forum. As for newbies being able to become a bounty manager, I do not think there is any rule prohibiting it but considering that a newbie probably does not have much experience or knowledge in this field, they might not be as effective bounty managers as someone who has been on the forum for a while.
1162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to run a bounty campaign? on: February 19, 2023, 06:52:44 PM
What can I do to become a manager, please tell me

Running bounty campaigns as a newbie could be a bit challenging. Firstly, being a newbie means your forum rank has certain limitations as compared to other ranks. You can learn more about this in this topic: Forum ranks/positions/badges
Secondly, since you have a non-existent forum reputation, it might be tough to get many project owners to work with you. Perhaps you could start by actively participating in the forum and building your rank, and then consider running bounty campaigns? I hope this suggestion helps.
1163  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has anyone heard of the crypto paymet processor rocketfuelblockchain.com? on: February 19, 2023, 06:43:43 PM
I was looking for crypto payment processors for a project a few years ago, but I was not aware of their existence until today.  I am surprised that I had never heard of them before, especially since they have been in operation for at least the last five years.

From what I can tell, there is only one mention of them on this forum, in this thread from last year: What crypto payment gate is the best?
1164  Economy / Reputation / Re: What a moment?!! on: February 19, 2023, 06:02:22 PM
I am very glad and can't express my feeling as I have reached my desired level (Legendary).
Thanks to all the community.
~

Congratulations on your well-deserved new rank, shasan! Although it took you a bit longer, it is great to see you finally achieve it!
1165  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto casino project - bug hunt & feature ideas on: February 18, 2023, 11:14:40 PM
My original idea was to start with a base and gradually turn it into 100% my own thing. It's much easier to start when you have a base, no matter what it is.

Well, there is nothing inherently problematic about that approach, as it is a common practice among developers. However, I do have some reservations about your ethical stance.

The problem is people in this forum would rather argue. That's fine by me as I know what my final goal is
Their fixation on the fact I managed to sell a couple of these is making it impossible to talk to them about the bigger picture and the point I wanted to make.

The problem is that you seem unwilling to acknowledge and attribute credit to those who rightfully deserve it, while simultaneously attempting to take ownership of something that is not yours. Essentially, this behavior could be considered a form of theft.

People need and deserve better casino software - at least better than what is currently being sold for $2k by you-know-who.

While it may indeed be true, but do you not believe that it is equally important to acknowledge and give some credit to the original developers for their work? After all, you are still utilizing their code, correct? Besides, if you believe that people deserve better software, why not adhere to the principles of Open Source and publicly release the source code along with your modifications and bug fixes, just like others do? That is how Open Source should work.
1166  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The Fraud company Localbitcoins is closing on: February 18, 2023, 10:19:17 PM
LBC has my bitcoins, but put me on forced holiday? Is this they way the get away with their scam?
https://localbitcoins.com/service_closure/

Does anybody knows where the main scammer Vladislav Alimpiev is hiding?

When I try to withdrawal my BTC, LBC is saying I can send maximum: 0 BTC

Have you reached out to LocalBitcoins customer support regarding the frozen funds in your account? It seems like there may be more to the story than you are sharing. As some users have noted, LocalBitcoins reserves the right to terminate accounts for illegal or fraudulent activity on their platform.
1167  Other / Archival / Re: What is the easiest way to explain bitcoin to a regular person? on: February 18, 2023, 09:59:56 PM
Has anyone here had troubles explaining bitcoin or crypto to a normal person?

Yes, many times. But I define "normal" very loosely in this context.  Wink

If bitcoin is supposed to be the future of finance, then the whole world will need to know at one point or another. Basically bitcoin and crypto education is borderline mandatory in our honest opinion.

What do you all think?

To put it simply, as the use of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency becomes more widespread, it is likely that more people will need to understand these concepts. In a world that is increasingly digitized, digital currencies may become more common and even necessary in some situations. So, it is good to familiarize yourself with these terms. But not everyone needs to know all the technical details. Just like millions of people use card payments and ATMs without knowing how they work, many may use cryptocurrencies without understanding all the details.
1168  Economy / Reputation / Re: I have been subjected to harassment on: February 18, 2023, 09:04:49 PM
@MikeJ_NpC I suggest you stop with these fucking walls of text without explaining or proving anything. There is no doubt that this wallet was never yours to begin with, so please stop harassing the guy since he did not steal anything from you.

https://twitter.com/tokenview2018/status/1595631118694260736

@NotATether, I do not believe albert0bsd needs to prove anything here. Even if we assume that he was able to crack the wallet somehow and transfer the coins, it is highly unlikely that someone sitting on almost a quarter of a billion dollars would be wasting their time responding to this crap. With that kind of money, you can easily pull a Houdini - change your place of residence, assume a new identity, and vanish off the face of the planet without a trace.  Grin

It is obvious that this guy is trolling and blackmailing him with his bullshit stories and threats.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helped my neighbor to purchase some Bitcoins on: February 17, 2023, 10:44:25 PM
I think it is actually quite common for people to first learn about cryptocurrency through ads, especially when they talk about the potential for huge profits. If you are not well-versed in finance or economics, these ads can be very enticing. In fact, a lot of people buy into crypto because they see other people doing it and they want to get a piece of the action. But the problem with this is that if you don’t understand what you are investing in, then you could easily lose a lot of money. Having someone you can trust to guide you through the process can definitely help.
1170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All newbies are welcome to this forum on: February 17, 2023, 10:05:33 PM
If you don't mind, I want to know and learn more about this form. I am new here. I want to talk with people but can't find people with my same interest here. I even don't know which topic is not allowed to talk.

Can you help please?

Great that you want to learn more and connect with like-minded people. It is always a good idea to find people with similar interests. And do not worry, there are tons of topics to explore - you will find your niche in no time! If you cannot find a topic that interests you, consider starting a new discussion.

As for the no-no's, just avoid being a spammer, personal attacks, plagiarism or selling any illegal stuff. But honestly, that should be a no-brainer, right? Be sure to read these tips:: Newbies - Read before posting

If you have any other burning questions, feel free to ask.
1171  Other / Meta / Re: [Request] Temp lock Bitvest.io thread (prevent spam) on: February 15, 2023, 10:42:31 PM
but my suggestions is - that those threads get locked, until further resolutions.

But why? There are other threads that do not have an active casino representative on the forum. Why should we treat Bitvest thread differently? I think it is important to have consistency in how moderatos manage different threads, and spam should be treated on a post-by-post basis.

Regarding LightLord's health, it is important to respect people's privacy and not discuss personal matters unless they directly affect the operation of the service. While he may have declared an illness in the past, he resumed posting on the forum months later, so it is reasonable to assume that his health has improved since then. And, apart from that, there is also Zodiac1233.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need some help in uderstnating how an NFT is priced? on: February 15, 2023, 06:57:47 PM
There is this NFT

Bored Ape Yacht club, what is its price? I`m looking at it on the https://coinmarketcap.com site.
Estimated Market cap is 755,111.3 ETH, so the NFT is worth 755.000 ETherums or 755.000x1500= 1,132,500,000$
Did I understand this correctly?

No. The Bored Ape Yacht Club is a collection of 10000 unique Bored Ape NFTs (coinmarketcap actually shows a total of 9,998 assets). The Estimated Market cap of 755,111.3 ETH is the sum of the price of all individual assets from the collection, not just one NFT. An NFT's price generally varies, but the average price for one NFT from that collection is around 75.9 ETH.
1173  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Recovering funds arbitrator request on: February 15, 2023, 06:13:31 PM
Provide some links, where and how did this happened? Did anyone warn you? Who is this member?
~

Check his trust. I believe this is related to this case: I have been subjected to harassment

Basically, he asked user albert0bsd for assistance in cracking the wallet, and later accused him of stealing the funds even though he had no concrete evidence for it. As I said, whoever was right, cases like this should be solved through legal means and not through threats and bullying online.
1174  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help on: February 14, 2023, 11:12:54 PM
Does anyone a mining app called Bitcoin Miner just want to know if they pay out after the 90 days??
Thanks

There is no such thing as a Bitcoin mining app. In the best case scenario you will be left with nothing, in the worst case scenario you will install malware on your device. Any app claiming to offer Bitcoin mining capabilities is likely a scam and should be avoided.
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have always wanted to ask this about bitcoin on: February 14, 2023, 10:04:51 PM
I think Bitcoin was designed to be used primarily as a way to make payments without relying on a central authority like a bank. Personally, I believe that Bitcoin's decentralized and secure network is one of its greatest strengths, and I would continue to use it for transactions even if there was no potential for price appreciation.
1176  Other / Off-topic / Re: What happens if server side password manager goes puff? on: February 14, 2023, 09:44:18 PM
Recently moved from LastPass to bitwarden. Question remains same, what about users data if these services go offline for whatever reason?

I am not sure about LastPass, but Bitwarden uses a distributed server architecture to ensure that even if one server goes offline, users' data is still accessible from another server. But, both LastPass and Bitwarden allow you to access your data even if the service goes offline temporarily or even for an extended period of time. Besides, both services let you export your data in various formats so that you can always have a backup copy of your information.
1177  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Recovering funds arbitrator request on: February 14, 2023, 09:22:15 PM
I have had a wallet stolen by a forum member,  10,000 btc which they had no right to move. The wallet was claimed and based on my data. i need a arbitrator to be involved and resolve the low life theft.

I am sorry to hear about your situation, if it is true, but I must remind you that making threats or harassing someone is not an appropriate or legal way to handle this matter. That will only make things worse for you in the long run. If you believe that you have been the victim of theft, you should file a police report and seek legal counsel.

Mods why is a member allowed to stay on this forum when he has lied and stolen a wallet? Is that not a ban offense? Additionally i did not vet the person which also fed into trusting him ...

It's not the mods' responsibility to get involved in arguments between users, and they definitely do not want to take sides in disagreements over whether someone is telling the truth or not. It is important to remember that mods are just volunteers who are trying to keep the forum running smoothly and fairly for everyone. Like I said earlier, if you are looking for someone to intervene in this situation, your best bet is to pursue legal procedures.
1178  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blender.io = Sinbad.io | Thoughts? on: February 14, 2023, 07:25:33 PM
Given all the uncertainty surrounding it (connection to North Korean hackers, the U.S. sanctioning, etc.), I can understand why the did not go with "Blender". It is better to start from scratch with a clean slate rather than try to repair the shaken trust of users by using an old name. No one wants to use a service that can potentially link them to notorious hacker groups!
1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can help all nations. on: February 13, 2023, 10:43:25 PM
How did that 800M come from ?

Same question, I haven't follow how much they invested on Bitcoin and when did they sell to take profits.

I do not think that they did. At least I have not seen anywhere that Bukele has made it public.
1180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the current situation of crypto currency on: February 12, 2023, 11:29:19 PM
I think starting to invest on crypto currency is the best option for me to take but how can I manage the risk as a new beginner

When we talk about risk in investment, we mean the possibility of losses. So if you are not equipped to handle it, perhaps investing is not yet for you. Take the time to gain a solid understanding of the potential risks before jumping in, because knowledge is the best defense against uncertainty.
