221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How risky is Tether to Bitcoin? on: January 11, 2021, 09:09:58 AM
Before now, there have been news of how less trustworthy Tether is, but the surprising thing is that, despite all the news, fud etc Tether is still growing, having more users and more volume, which then makes people to wonder how true the news is, but who knows. Also recently, another fud have started and it is gradually getting momentum because of SEC and XRP case, thus people are of the opinion that if SEC can sue XRP, that Tether might the next, nevertheless let's keep watching as there is little we can do, or rather there are other stablecoins that one can hold if he wants. Furthermore, If the fud turns out to be true, it will shake the whole market but since Bitcoin is not dependent on Tether, it won't be affected that much, and what people would actually do is to sell off their Tether for other stablecoins and move on.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper money vs Digital currency on: January 11, 2021, 08:55:30 AM
Yes they are different in all ways but serves same purpose, that is, where fiat is used, Bitcoin can also be used so far the seller accepts it. Also, the reason why it will take time for Bitcoin to be used by a lot of people is because there are people who still finds it hard to understand it and how secure it is, this challenge can be attributed to lack of information and some other Ponzi schemes which now runs with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (you see this everywhere in the internet), thus giving the wrong type of information to people who are meant to use Bitcoin. Another challenge is that, there are still some countries that are yet to adopt it or rather have stricter rules regrading Bitcoin, this also contributes in reducing the awareness and usage of Bitcoin. Therefore considering all these challenges and factors, I believe the best way to get people to use Bitcoin or crypto is by passing the right knowledge at every given time, when you hear someone speaks ill of Bitcoin, you take out time to explain what it entails, through that way, the knowledge will spread faster. Lastly, with the attention Bitcoin got late last year through this year so far, more people will join up, because the awareness is now growing further, so on one hand, we can spread the right knowledge through face to face encounter and on the other, we can do so through the internet; in addition, you don't need to convince anyone, the growth of Bitcoin, and the adoption by different platforms is enough to convince them.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Confession: After 5 years of hodling, I finally sold on: January 10, 2021, 11:41:49 AM
How many altcoins are even really worth it, and how many can even last a year let alone 5 years, therefore I think if you sold your altcoins in order to have more Bitcoin, that it is a good decision. Also, on the other hand, there are every possiblity of missing out on Bitcoin at a point, maybe not buying on the right time, as one might thought and instead of waiting you can also buy good altcoins like Ethereum in order to participate in the bull run and later sell to get more Bitcoin. The thing is, many people uses different strategies to get more Bitcoin in their portfolio, some could be through trading, some through investing in new projects then selling to Bitcoin, some through selling shitcoins and so on, therefore in all, it is seen that Bitcoin is the most  valuable to hold at anytime, thus any of these decisions taken towards getting more is always a good one in my own opinion.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people seem to value 1 full BTC? on: January 10, 2021, 11:33:12 AM
In my own opinion, placing such value on Bitcoin is seen as a target that is, if you have some fractions of Bitcoin you can strive to get more until it reaches 1 BTC. On the other hand, people will always fluant what they have, and considering how volatile this space, it is wise to invest to the best of your capacity not because you want to follow a trend of people; the Importance of this is, investing what you can afford will make you hold long term but investing just because you want to own 1 BTC, might not really make you hold long term. Lastly, although having 1 Bitcoin have its benefits, at the same time, owing fractions of it also come with its own benefits; the more you Strive to own 1 BTC is the same way, many other people strives to own more than 1 BTC, hence bringing us to the aspect of buying what you can comfortably afford.
225  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of BTC might go down on: January 10, 2021, 11:25:50 AM
Anyone believing most of these experts atimes might only end up regretting, i believe it is rather wise to have a good reason to invest and hold a coin than listening to experts opinions before taking a decision. Bitcoin growth surpassed every sort of expectations, predictions, etc set for it, since many sold thinking it will crash at one price or the other, it rather keeps going and ever since many people won't fail to use every opportunity they have to say things that will make some people to sell so they can buy cheap again. In my own opinion, as it stands no one knows the price it will pump to and on the other hand, it is already known that price correction will happen one day, and as usual no one knows when or what price it will dump to.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How One Can obtain bitcoins? on: January 09, 2021, 07:51:31 AM
There are different ways by which we can obtain bitcoins like Buying on exchange, accepting bitcoin payments or using mining.
Which is the fast and beneficial resources of obtaining bitcoin??

The fastest and most beneficial resources of obtaining Bitcoin will depend on different case scenarios, your capacity and on what you want to achieve. Before buying on exchanges, you will need to have another crypto which you can sell to Bitcoin then withdrawing to your personal wallet or if your country is supported by some exchanges like Binance, then you can get your Binance account verified thus buying Bitcoin with your credit card. Secondly, accepting Bitcoin for payment is also good but you will have something that the person will buy and also, you will need to be in a location where Bitcoin is accepted and people knows about Bitcoin for easy buying and selling. And lastly, using mining will warrant you to owing mining rig, and also if the cost of energy is cheap in your location then it will be beneficial to you but if it is not, you might run at loss.
These are different case scenarios, thus the one I find the fastest is buying from exchanges as you have two options, buy Bitcoin with your credit card or buy with another crypto like Ethereum.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sold out my satoshi on: January 09, 2021, 07:36:57 AM
That was very bad time for me, when i sold out my Bitcoin. When bitcoin price was 9k+ usd, then i sold out my all Holding Satoshi for my personal problem. But now current price of per Bitcoin is 41k+ usd.

I don't think you should be bittered by it, at least it wasn't stolen or hacked, but rather you used it to solve personal problems which is better than borrowing or taking loan, so just see it as one of those things in life which you have no power or control in; I also believe you are not the only one that did such, a lot of people at one stage or the other have done it as well. Furthermore, instead of being bitter or regret over it, pick yourself up and start again, although you might not be able to buy a huge amount at once, but you can buy as small as possible or as your capacity reaches. Regrading the market, there will be a price correction for Bitcoin, although no one knows when but that would be the perfect time to buy to the best of your capacity.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is FOMO why people interested in FOMO on: January 09, 2021, 07:27:38 AM
My thought we are in bull market just forget new experimental coin smashing up 50x -100x in dex and next week rekt , so old is gold avoid fomo buy old coin 👌👌

FOMO means, fear of missing out and as the name goes, when a coin is pumping hard or when there is a bull run, people always rush into their desired coins in order not to miss out while sometimes it can work in their favour but most times it also works against them. Also, I wouldn't say people are interested in FOMO, I however think it is something that sets in as soon as the market is in good condition; take the Bitcoin market as an example, those who saw it various prices fomo and were able to jump in while some couldn't do that. In addition, although Bitcoin is good to fomo into but it is also wise to know the type of investor you are, that is, long term holder or short term holder, at the same time, if you aren't able to get into Bitcoin, you can also make good gains from other altcoins but this time, not holding for long rather selling at the slightest bit of opportunity.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the right time to reinvest into Bitcoin? on: January 08, 2021, 08:31:35 AM
Investing in Bitcoin is very good, but one needs to know what best way to go about it, that is, are you a long term holder or a short term holder, knowing this and deciding on it, will go along way in helping you invest wisely. Looking at the market now, Bitcoin price is very high and since no one can predict the market, anyone who wishes to buy Bitcoin now, must be a long term holder so that in a situations where correction takes place and it's dumps, he won't be bothered. On the other hand, if you are short term holder and also conscious of the market, then I think it would be better you take a break from investing in Bitcoin, so that you won't be discomforted when it dumps beyond your expectations.
230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big BTC price correction incoming???? on: January 08, 2021, 08:21:59 AM
As serious as it looks, no one can tell you when the correction will take place and how big it will be. Before Bitcoin got to its price now, it dumped many times, people thought it was correction taking place but it was not, rather it only kept going up, in fact I would say Bitcoin has broken a lot of predictions set for it, therefore showing that the funds coming into Bitcoin is from big investors, big platforms etc, and at this juncture one need to play safe. There is a prediction that it wil get to $50k but no one knows if it will be achieved or not, hence if you are in profit and a short term holder know when to sell, if you are a long term holder you might want to stop bothering about the market as Bitcoin is the best to hold.
231  Economy / Exchanges / Re: We Need to Remove Coinbase as a recommended Exchange on: January 08, 2021, 08:13:58 AM
I don't really fancy Coinbase and as such have not used it, hence I might to fully understand what you feel, but what really caught my attention is the aspect of having less customer care representative, it is not right for an exchange as big as them, some people will once in a while run into issues and if they are not properly responded to, might make even more mistakes. Nevertheless, Coinbase is a very big exchange, boycotting them will be difficult because they already have a lot of users and as such good liquidity which of course drives more users to it. Also, it is a centralized exchange, and the other exchange which you can use as an alternative is also a centralized exchange, hence no much difference, but yet there are still people who will like to use Coinbase, that is how the world works. However, if you are fade up with the exchange, try another, maybe Binance will suit you well.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For old users: check you abandoned wallets/exchange/other service accounts on: January 07, 2021, 08:05:07 AM
That is quite true, because the more the price of Bitcoin grows the more those little amount left or ignored will have some sort of values, thanks for bringing it the notice of everyone because I bet a lot of people won't even think towards that angle, including me. Also, those who uses different wallets for different reasons will most likely stand a bigger chance of getting something tangible out of them all. However, the challenge that might set in could be finding the private keys or even remembering those wallet, but nevertheless, it is worth the shot. Thanks once again.
233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you buying right now ? on: January 07, 2021, 07:56:11 AM
To be frank in my own opinion, buying at such price is way to high unless you are already prepared to hold for long term if it later goes against your predictions. I might be wrong but I think those who are buying in large amount are whales and/or Institutional investors, and these sort of buyers are already prepared for long term holding, so anyone who is ready for that, can take the risk but as for me, I think it is the best time to sell or monitor the market closely to know when to sell. Also, from the look of things, Bitcoin tends to have more chances  to grow and achieve a new ATH, but that is just predictions which might not work or still work; hence the best way is, if you are ready for the ride and risk, then go ahead, if you are not then look elsewhere.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING - Market Cap hits $1 Trillion on: January 07, 2021, 07:46:59 AM
It is now totally clear that Bitcoin means business and as such the entire crypto space is just the way towards the future. Hitting this market cap is no joke and really means a lot to every crypto user, trader and investor. Also, the good fact about this market cap is, it will go a very long way in telling people especially those who thought nothing good can come out of crypto or those who never fails to say thrash about crypto in every given opportunity that, crypto has come to stay and will keep surprising them. Another good fact is that, it will now open more ways for investors to come in, because this will give them the assurance that crypto is the future; this is just the beginning more is yet to come.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is trust Wallet and Bread Wallet are non-custodial wallet ? on: January 06, 2021, 09:02:00 AM
I hardly hear about Bread wallet, thus I can't say much on it but as for Trust wallet, it is a non-custodial wallet. Also, Trust wallet till date has proven to be secure and no challenges so far, rather the team keeps improving in order to maintain their users. In the same way, Trust wallet is a multi-cryptocurrency wallet that is to say, you can store various cryptocurrencies on it such as Bitcoin, ERC tokens, BEP 20 tokens and many others. Lastly, you control your wallet because you have your mnemonic phrases thus can import your wallet to any other   place you find worthy, and yes, since you have your private keys or mnemonic phrases you can import it anywhere you want, in addition, I do not think Trust wallet is closing anytime soon.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be Excited about the rise, be wary about the scams, and loss on: January 06, 2021, 08:41:06 AM
Bitcoin price increase has quite attracted a lot of attention and this attention grew massive when it crossed its ATH and now it is getting more interesting because it looks like it is heading to $40k. But most importantly, just like you rightly said, this is also the time to be sensitive because scammers won't fail to use every possible means to get their victims. Also, it is very important as well that newbies or those we invite into the crypto space to understand that, there is a phase called the bear market where every where turns red, but however in the midst of this, patience is also required and very much needed as the long term holders of Bitcoin are always the ones to enjoy the bull run. Lastly, understanding the crypto space, the risks etc, is the best way to start for any newbie.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Livecoin.net is down? on: January 06, 2021, 08:24:53 AM
This is bad, really bad not now the crypto market is experiencing a bull run and this might bring up questions of if really they were hacked or the team trying to steal from users. Nevertheless, this is why it has been bad right from time immemorial to stop keeping huge funds on exchanges most especially some of these small exchanges. Also, it could be the hack is real, that is, since the bull run many people will tend to keep more funds on exchanges for trading or buying their desired crypto thus giving hackers the opportunity they need. However, the exchange really needs to come up and explain what happened and the possible move they are taking on this; there are questions that needs to be answered.
238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in another Bubble? when will it Burst on: January 05, 2021, 08:50:12 AM
To be frank, the growth so far was massive and thus from all indications, there will be a price correction which can be seen to be healthy for the market while also giving room for more people to buy, but the tough thing there is, since the crypto space is unpredictable, no one knows when it will happen or how big it will be. However, I do not think the correction would be so big that it will bring Bitcoin down like before because the growth witnessed was somehow piloted by adoption and institutional investors, thus this correction being anticipated might be a different one.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have my 600$ stimulus check, good time to buy btc? I plan to hold for the short on: January 05, 2021, 08:34:48 AM
Since you are considering short term, then I think it is not wise getting into it now as the price is very high but if it is in the case of long term, then you can wait for price correction and then make a move. Bitcoin is a coin that goes with a lot of patience and investing what you can afford because by doing so, you will hardly be troubled with the bear market, but investing everything you have now while expecting a good gain within a short time is really a tough one. Also, since you said, you can afford to lose then you can relax, wait for correction and buy and if it doesn't go as planned, then you hold on to it.
240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I know if I have bitcoin in my wallet? on: January 05, 2021, 08:19:01 AM
I believe that Bitcoin price is now calling on everyone who once held Bitcoin or had something to do with Bitcoin to search their wallets to see if there is anything left inside, well it is really justifiable. Also, about knowing if there is Bitcoin in your wallets the first thing to do would be to search for the wallet address on blockchain explorer, this will display the content of the wallet for you to know and if something is there, then you can easily import the private keys to a wallet like Trust wallet and access the content in it. Hope you finds something in it. And lastly, remember to protect your private keys well.
