221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 22, 2023, 10:24:13 PM
~snip~
Addiction creeps in slowly and most times unnoticed. And I think if you find it offensive when referred to as an addictive gambler, then most likely you’re slowly creeping into addiction if not there yet.
^ Possibly but there others will probably recognize the signs and accept the term. Accepting the label of being a gambling addict can be an important step toward seeking help, support, and treatment. It allows individuals to confront their behavior, understand the impact it has on their lives, and take steps toward recovery. I know this because I have a friend who suffered from addiction and wants to change himself alone, the best thing is to have to take under control yourself.
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, investment, stocks..... on: June 22, 2023, 10:10:27 PM
Since gambling companies are registered companies, is it possible that they have stocks? Is there anyway to invest in a gambling stock? Or let's say gambling related stocks? I am thinking that if this is possible then this could be one of the ways to get the best out of gambling and investment, I can't help but think that most gambling companies in the U.S are almost successful, only little to none run of out business in few years, gambling is a lucrative business, so I need answers if this is possible. Thanks

^ Yes that is definitely right, gambling companies can indeed have stocks that are available for investment, commonly called it here tokens but that is different of course. However, if you are interested in investing in gambling stocks, you can research and identify publicly traded gambling companies and check if their stocks are listed on stock exchanges. Some well-known gambling companies that have publicly traded stocks include Las Vegas Sands Corp and Caesars Entertainment Corp.
Everything investment has a risk and I hope you already understand this, because the gambling industry, like any other sector, can experience fluctuations and uncertainties. Therefore, it is very important to conduct thorough research, consider your investment goals and potentially seek advice from a financial professional before making any investment decisions.
223  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Advantages of Bitcoin Casinos vs. Traditional Casinos on: June 22, 2023, 09:58:25 PM
Well, you are absolutely right about that, it is very easy to enter a casino based on cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin, because it is more reliable, it has superior security, we are not taking risks on the street, nobody sees us, those are things that They can be seen as a great advantage, but personally when it comes to the app I am somewhat distrustful, it is very easy for data to leak, hackers are on the prowl, also if you do not download the app that it is, you can download a fake app And that is worse, then it is delicate on that side, although there is someone who is doing very well.
Don't worry, if you worried of data or privacy leak, you shouldn't gamble on the casino where it ask you to submit your KYC. Or if you're really want to gamble on licensed casino due to various games you want to play, you should never submit KYC even though you're need to accept to lose all of your money.

Whether he likes to submit KYC or not if he won a life changing money, then I am sure he will surely submit documents for KYC in order to get the money.  That kind of case is not impossible to happen because some of the casino style when a player won a huge amount of money is to ask the winner to submit KYC for verification purpose and if they pass the KYC they can withdraw and enjoy their winnings.  At the end of the day even casino that does not originally aske for KYC requires it once huge amount is involved.

^ That is the point here and probably if someone were to win a life-changing amount of money, it is highly likely that they would be willing to submit the necessary Know Your Customer (KYC) documents in order to claim their winnings. It could also may have reservations about sharing personal information, the desire to receive a substantial sum of money often outweighs any concerns. In fact, it is not uncommon for casinos or other gambling establishments to request KYC verification from winners before allowing them to withdraw and enjoy their winnings. Even if a particular casino did not initially require KYC, they may still enforce it when a significant amount of money is involved. This practice ensures the legitimacy of the transaction and helps prevent money laundering or fraudulent activities. Therefore, it is reasonable to expect that anyone who wins a life-changing sum of money would willingly submit the required KYC documents to secure their newfound wealth.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 TronFun.Com | Roulette & Duels | Provably Fair / Social Games | Fast Dep/With on: June 22, 2023, 09:48:55 PM
~snip~
I just checked their terms and condition and it looks like the casino copy-pasted the Terms and Conditions of WinDice
^ Where did you find that terms and condition button, I did not find it on the main page which is also together with the FAQ that is supposed to be there too. However, OP welcome to the forum and I hope too you are actively answering those questions that give us interest in your casino.
And also, your announcement thread seems to look unprofessional in introducing your casino, buy a copper membership account so that you can able to post images for updates here in your thread.
EDIT:
You are wondering why you are in the altcoins section because your casino only accepts tron which is an altcoin, choose BTC as another option so that you are eligible to post in the gambling section.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: June 21, 2023, 10:29:58 PM
~snip~
Question is:

What is the possibility of the betting agent getting his money soon/considering the gambler's low-income earnings?
^ It could be I contemplated the likelihood of the gambler returning to settle his debt, considering his low-income earnings. It was revealed that the gambler earned ₦‎2,000 per day as a helper on a construction site. In order to repay the ₦‎8,000 debt, the gambler would need to work for four days without incurring any additional expenses. Given these circumstances, it appeared unlikely that the gambler would be able to promptly repay the debt. Considering the gambler's meager income and the significant debt he accumulated, the possibility of the betting agent recovering the money in the near future seemed uncertain. The agent might have to explore alternative approaches, such as negotiating a reasonable repayment plan with the gambler or potentially accepting partial payments over an extended period, taking into account the customer's financial constraints.
226  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: June 21, 2023, 10:18:40 PM
No min for deposit or withdraw (withdraws just have to cover the feerate)
^That is a good feature that you have and I hope all casinos are the same as this way.
But probably if you have bonuses and promotions soon, it is good if there is a minimum required before you can withdraw to avoid abusing those promos.
By the way, upon looking at your casino, I saw there that there is a Previous Winners, can you clarify what those amounts are there? The amount they won or the amount they bet?
Welcome to the forum and good to see you are very active answering questions.

FLIP.CASINO - ONLINE CRYPTO GAMBLING ~ FREE $5 AT SIGN-UP

This is quite misleading. The information given is far different from clicking the website. Or it just happened that the promo expires? In any case, as for my own experience, I will consider this as a lie. Signing up didn't get me $5 but 1$. But still thanks for 1 benjamin. I would say that please give more information and updated promotion of the site next time.
^Not bad if you want just to test their casino.
I did not check yet and signed up because I want to hear some more feedback from those who tried. I hope OP will come back to this thread and give us more information about this gambling casino and also the promotion. What do you think, is he the owner of this casino or just the staff?
We have a lot of members here who want to review the casino for feedback.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Improve Your Sports Betting Skills and Win More Bets? on: June 17, 2023, 09:16:56 PM
4. Comparing odds from different betting platforms: This is one of the rarest situations. There are instances when betting platforms may offer varying odds for the same event. The best practice is to always compare odds across multiple platforms, which gives you the opportunity to find the best value and maximize your potential returns.

Opening an account with every single sports book in your region that is legal is another way to improve your sports betting skill and make the probability of you winning more bets higher. I have noticed that sports book may at some point limit you say if you have a high bank role and this would affect your winning more bets if you only one account with a sportsbook. When you are winning there is the tendency for them to cut you off or limit the amount of money you can place on a bet.
^For comparison is quite good but I will rather choose 1 or 2 gambling casinos to stick with it, the more you open an account the more chances of having losses. It is indeed a strategy that can enhance your sports betting skills and increase your chances of winning more bets. By diversifying your accounts, you reduce the risk of being limited or cut off by a single sportsbook, especially if you have a substantial bankroll. It is not uncommon for sportsbooks to take such measures when they perceive a customer as consistently successful. By spreading your bets across different platforms, you maintain the ability to place higher wagers and capitalize on your winning streaks without restrictions. By doing this it allows you to optimize your betting opportunities and potentially maximize your profits in the long run.

229  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: June 17, 2023, 08:50:37 PM
Sure, many gamers find TOS a roadblock and overlook it, but it's this neglect that can cause problems. The TOS isn't just wordy gibberish; it's a pact detailing rights and duties of both parties. Believing that reading TOS is time-wasting doesn't lessen its key role in warding off disputes. Gamers could dodge troubles by knowing what they're agreeing to. Promoting TOS awareness isn't useless, even if largely ignored. Skipping the TOS can lead to unexpected issues like account freezing, lost income, or quarrels with support. Thus, urging players to read TOS can spare time and future headaches.
It is so. And if the gambler would read the ToS more attentively they often wouldn`t accepted it. Lots of paragraphs are written so blurry that the casino can ban gambler, or set the limits, or cancel his bet any moment. I had such problems several times and i can`t do anything with it - it is written in the ToS. The main problem that such situation is true for the most part of the casinos and you can read all the ToS attentively and don`t like it but you have to agree with it because you`ll get the same ToS in all other casinos.
^Laziness I think why most reason gamblers did not know the terms.
However, as I notice here there are many responsible gamblers who do take the time to read and understand the terms and conditions before engaging in any gambling activities. But most of them think that some gamblers may have used similar gambling services before and assume that the terms and conditions are likely to be similar as well. This assumption can lead to complacency and a lack of thorough reading which the result is not good for us.
230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your honest review of the Demo account? on: June 17, 2023, 08:38:14 PM
I think every new users should try demo trading first as it helps user to be an experienced trader. I also tried demo trading and learned a lot. It really helps when you do future trading even if can generate trading strategies with demo accounts.
It is not a must to try demo trading. I never use demo trading, I have no problem with trading so far. I can get the trading knowledge by reading articles or watching YT videos. I also tried directly trading in a such platform with small money, so I got experiences and won't have big risk to lose huge money. The main thing to do is to focus learning and use small money first if you are still a newbie. Anyway, for newbies, it is better to stay away from future trading. It is not a proper place for newbies.

Although I would say demo trading is quite helpful, but yes I also believe it’s not a must either. It’s still an edge if you have real experiences in the market, by incurring some mistakes and losses that will most likely teach you on how to be a good and reliable trader. Experience will always be the best teacher no matter what, so it’s not bad idea if you jump into trading experiences in a live trading rather than using demo account while you’re starting.
^ In general, not bad at all.
Because if you are new to trading and have zero knowledge, demo trading is quite helpful, and also as a new trader it could be a potential to gain experience and learn about it. Because I think Rral experiences in the market, even with their share of mistakes and losses, can indeed be valuable lessons that contribute to becoming a good and reliable trader. In my mind, there is nothing wrong with diving into live trading experiences from the start, rather than solely relying on a demo account. It is all about finding the technique that suits you best and enables you to learn and grow as a trader.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to fight with FUD about Bitcoin on: June 17, 2023, 08:28:54 PM
Why not say a big "fuck you" to him? It's just like Warren Buffett, who says that "Bitcoin is stupid because it can go to zero value." If I were you, I wouldn't bother myself to prove any point to someone who thinks that my points are worthless just because they have some skepticism about Bitcoin. I know your worry is that people listening to him will be misleading, yea, but at least in the mist of 100 people, not really every one of them would be able to follow his misleading ideas about Bitcoin. People still have a choice; it's not as if he's trying to force them to believe in whatever he says. I would suggest it's better you just ignore him.
^Definitely right and I agree, I will not force anyone who did not believe in BTC but instead, I let them witness the benefits that I got by using this technology. My advice on how to avoid FUD is to verify information from credible sources before accepting or sharing it. Differentiate between legitimate concerns and baseless FUD by analyzing arguments critically and there should be verifiable evidence.
Because for me, you cannot win this way, the professor will also defend his belief towards BTC and most of they give advice is to ignore the professor because even Satoshi did not force us to believe in him.

Provably fair to me is just word of the mouth or a written word, because there is no way to truly verify that a game is indeed fair, even when there is a verification method made available by the casino, what is the assurance that even the verification method is not manipulated?
^I thought provably fair is transparent and can be individually verified.
I saw a thread here before but I did not find it now explained provably fair how to verify and I think, that is the way how to prove that the gambling casino that uses provably fair is not manipulated. Because for me, provably fair refers to a system or algorithm that provides verifiable evidence and transparency, ensuring that the outcome of a process, such as a game or random event, is unbiased and not manipulated.
However, the most common problem is the gambler who did not know how to verify the provably fair system that uses by the casino.

EDIT: Here is a thread we must know as a gambler.

233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you tired of waiting for the jump? Pls Hodl on: June 16, 2023, 10:10:16 PM
From the years that I've been into this market, that's what I've learned and that's to take profit when it's on high. It's not gonna hurt my ego to have to see my lessened portfolio because that's how it should go, to enjoy my profits earned from my investments on this market.

Other than that, holding is truly one of the best strategies that I've ever learned. These scenarios of plummets and crashes, it taught me a lot of things especially in forcing me to be patient when I'm thinking of dumping as much as I can.
Hodling is the most effective way to make you profitable with less risk and less efforts. That is why if we can hold more especially in this current market condition, then it will always be the best decision than to sell your coins at a low price as that will only make you regret your decision in the end. Also, know that patience is very important to make you successful and profitable in this type of investment so learn to be more patient than to resort into selling your coins and consider yourself a big loser.
^ I agree.
Holding for the long term can indeed be an effective strategy to potentially increase profitability and reduce risk. By staying invested during market downturns, you avoid selling at low prices and potentially missing out on future gains. As they say,  patience is a virtue in the world of investments, and learning to be patient can certainly contribute to your success and profitability.
Probably I will call you dumb if you are selling your coin under the price where you purchased it.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How the casino takes money from you with a deposit bonus on: June 16, 2023, 09:59:30 PM
~snip~

Deposit and any other type of bonuses always come with these conditions and if a gambler is not careful enough to read and properly understand these conditions it may become the failing pits because they may be confronted with high wager conditions to meet up with which may become difficult to do.
^What we expect from this, the casino is not a charity that gives free money away by giving bonuses, it is expected that there is a high wager always for the bonus that we get. But from what I have seen here different games may have different RTPs, so it is important to consider the specific rules and payout percentages for the games you play not the bonus.
It would be good for anyone to carefully review the terms and conditions associated with the bonus offer. Look for factors such as game restrictions, maximum bet limits, and withdrawal limitations because these details can significantly impact your overall experience and whether the bonus is beneficial for you. Because every casino bonus is unique, and not all bonuses have high wagering requirements. So it is important to shop around, compare different offers, and consider your personal goals and playing style before making a decision.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can One's Religion Compel A Compulsive Gambler To Quit Gambling on: June 16, 2023, 09:50:14 PM
Some people are religious, but they started gambling and even with their religion, they still became addicted to Gambling. Choosing not to gamble is not a decision influenced by religion, it is a personal decision. As an addicted gambler, you will stop gambling when you decide, if you cannot help yourself, then you need help, but admitting the need to change is the first thing to do. Your personal decision matters more and will be a stronger to make you stop gambling.
^That is a good thought, it should be a personal decision and not just because it is caused by religion.
But it has an impact if you are a religious person because there are some compulsive gamblers who undergo a religious conversion, the newfound faith and its teachings may inspire a genuine desire to overcome their gambling addiction. The individual may find strength, support, and guidance within their religious community, which can assist them in refraining from gambling. However, in the end, the decision is still in you not because of them.
236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Placing A Trade, How Long Does It Take For The Order To Be Filled? on: June 15, 2023, 10:56:09 PM
It's been 30 minutes and the order has not yet been filled. So I canceled the order.
How long does it take for an order to be filled?
It will take time especially if the price is not within the range anymore.
If you want a fast trade then better to choose the buying/selling price in the next 5 on the list, and with this you can easily filled your trade without waiting any longer. Your trade will always depend on the price, and the buyer and seller level, so make sure to check it before you place a trade.
^That is exactly what I am going to say.
If you cancel your order after 30 minutes because it had not been filled, it is possible that the market conditions were not favorable for your specific order at that time. It is generally a good practice to monitor the market and consider adjusting your order if it has not been filled within the reasonable time frame that you expected.
Probably I think if you have any specific concerns or questions about a particular order on Coinbase, I recommend reaching out to their customer support for more accurate and up-to-date information regarding your specific situation.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ambivalent attitude to gambling on: June 15, 2023, 10:41:02 PM

Reason 1: Perception of risk
One of the main reasons is the perception of risk. Certain forms of gambling, such as sports betting and casino games, are perceived as high-risk activities that can lead to significant financial losses. On the other hand, lotteries are seen as a relatively low-risk option, perhaps due to the low ticket price and their legality at the government level.

Something is not right from the start. Why are sports betting and casino games even more high risk than lotteries when you don't even have 1% chance of winning on lotteries?
It must be a chance of winning that is to be explained than the price of the ticket when we talk about risk. But it could be because government represents lotteries giving back money to foundations. I think the attitude toward gambling products varies for each person, I think when you grow up in a suburb seeing your father work from 9-5, you would not waste a dime even on a lottery.
^ That is a good question but from what I have understood.
When discussing risk in gambling, it is important to consider both the probability of winning and the potential financial losses. While the chances of winning a lottery jackpot are indeed extremely low, often less than 1%, the allure of lotteries lies in the possibility of a life-changing win. People are drawn to the dream of hitting the jackpot, even if the odds are stacked against them. This perception of a slim chance at a substantial reward can make lotteries seem less risky to some people and while sports betting and casino games typically involve more immediate and frequent outcomes.
238  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling addiction causes ear deafness? on: June 15, 2023, 10:16:52 PM
-cut-
He said that he screamed to him to wake up scarily, he said his brother is his savior, but I replied to him that he is someone who listened, most gambling addicts that I have came across have closed ears, they won't listen to you when you try to warn them or advice them.
Have you meet gamblers that are going way too deep into addiction and you try to stop them and they listen? I've never accomplished that before.
They always behaved deaf, like some spiritual power is in control.
I am ignoring the misleading title and just answer to this.

There's nothing spiritual about it. Getting trough to an addict doesn't happen by screaming, it happens by listening and conversation, but if you really want to have an effect, maybe organize intervention with closest friends and talk with the addict. But have your basis covered and learn about gambling addiction before doing that. Because shouting only drives the addict away from your influence. That could make them just hide deeper in themselves.

~snip~
^ I agree with you and that is definitely right.
There is nothing spiritual about reaching out to an addict. It is not about shouting or forcing them to change their ways.
True progress happens when we approach addicts with empathy, compassion, and genuine understanding because for me, it is about actively listening and engaging in meaningful conversations. We know on that stage of addiction, a gambler should be on especially treatment like a psychiatrist that only they have the ability to understand this kind of person who has been in a gambling addiction.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: June 14, 2023, 10:27:25 PM
Individuals who are addicted to gambling or have a gambling problem are like that because they see gambling as one of the ways to make money. To turn $100 to $1000. This is the underlying cause. When you compare the people are are addicted to gambling and those who are not, you will find out that the later have a different perspective about gambling. To quit gambling you need a change of perspective. Start following financial gurus, start reading their books. That way you will be able to turn $100 to $1000 and then to $10000. It is as simple as that. Like they have said, what you focus on grows.
I don't know but I believed without proper hard work its going to be very hard to turn a 100$ buck to a thousands by just reading books of gurus and most definitely not an expectations from winning big in gambling. Gambling is an habit that should be enjoyed by placing bet on your favourite team or events just for pleasure purpose and nothing else.
^That is a good perspective when it comes to gambling activity.
It should be gambling is primarily based on chance, and the odds are usually stacked against the player. Relying on gambling as a means to make money can lead to financial difficulties and potential addiction. It is advisable to approach gambling as a form of entertainment, where the main purpose is to enjoy the activity itself rather than expecting financial gains.
Instead of relying on gambling or quick-fix solutions, I think it is generally more productive to focus on developing solid financial habits, such as budgeting, saving, and investing in legitimate and sustainable ways gambling should be if there is an extra fund for fun.
240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto;Bitcoin on: June 14, 2023, 10:15:55 PM
In fact, any cryptocurrency is tied to bitcoin, so I don’t see much difference here. I think many people understand this.
No. I can't find references and theories from various sources that your statement can be justified.
Bitcoin is never equal to the number of coins that exist in the crypto space.
Maybe I would agree with you if you said that all coins are trying to get better like Bitcoin even though none of them have been able to.
You need to read more so that you can clearly understand Bitcoin and other coins.
Bitcoin is a unique crypto.
Many projects are indeed working hard to outperform Bitcoin when it comes to their profit, and some are able to do this while many are still struggling. Bitcoin is the basis of many tokens and coins, and that’s why the market trend depends on the price of Bitcoin, its very influential and we have to accept it. Bitcoin moves depend on the market scenario, if there’s a lot of good news then expect for the pump but if there’s a lot of issues and fud, better to take profit for now and wait for a cheaper price of the market.
^ Definitely right, since BTC was created many projects are striving to surpass BTC's profitability, and while some have succeeded, many others are still facing challenges. BTC's position as the foundation for numerous tokens and coins indeed grants it significant influence over the overall market trend. BTC is a leading cryptocurrency and there is no doubt there are a lot of people making a profit from it since the price is very volatile because of the huge demand, it is easy to fluctuate the price every now and then.
