541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 11, 2023, 09:53:17 PM
From my experience in playing gambling, I have tried several times to stop gambling, but it seems difficult for me, who is already addicted to gambling, to really stop.
I felt the unintended effect of losing most of what I had to gambling and I regret it a little.
Even though I have at least been able to get back what I have lost, there is still a feeling of regret in me because until now I still continue to play and bet.
But to be honest, I already have a little sense of self-control and control every game or bet I make so that I can minimize the number of losing a lot of money.
For now I only use 15% -20% of my income every month to gamble, so I have started not to lose much in gambling.
as long as you consistently set aside your funds for gambling every month, of course it will not make you lose in gambling because by being consistent like that you have managed to control yourself from more losses, play wisely  Wink
^ As always they said, be a responsible gambler and play wisely.
But I don't think if your purpose is to have fun when you are gambling, there should be no massive loss on this. Controlling yourself from the urge of gambling is the biggest factor that you will need, there is no need to stop gambling if you can manage this properly. Even myself, how many times I tend to stop but cannot, the reason is probably that, while w are having fun, the chances of increasing your money is on gambling.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins to HODL on: February 11, 2023, 09:44:08 PM
I still have a lot of USDT in my wallet, I already have ROSE, NFTb, TRX, AXS. My question is any other altcoins that I have missed or should check out?
^So all of these are you going to hold?
My question is, why there is no BTC in your portfolio?
I don't see any potential profit in the future of all coins that you have now if you want them to hold for a long period of time, just make sure the amount that you are to them is the amount that you are willing to wait and can afford. It seems like gambling to me, you gamble that opportunity by investing high volatility coins. Give a big allocation on BTC and it will surely have no regrets.
543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin hold, sell or trade?? on: February 11, 2023, 09:37:49 PM
~snip~
*Hold
*Sell
*Trade
Looking forward to the opinion of the experienced.
^For altcoins sell, for BTC hold.
I never hold altcoins for a long period of time, they usually went down if there is no hype that happens. We know altcoins will usually have a massive price increase when it will be hyped. But later on, the price will drop, not like BTC, it is the safest investment. Trading in altcoins is very risky, it needs knowledge of it and good strategies, if you don't have these, get ready to face failure and losses. I rather go for DCA way of buying BTC and hold into my wallet.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My ideals on how to promote Bitcoin in my locality on: February 11, 2023, 09:30:57 PM
It would be good if religious leaders support Bitcoin. But why will they do it is the bigger question. I don't think that would be easy. Since bitcoin is a very volatile cryptocurrency, investors could lose money. So who will bear the blame for such a loss? Religious leaders endorsing Bitcoin may also bring up moral and legal issues, such as whether they should be involved in promoting financial investments and the possibility of conflicts of interest. As a result, I don't think this is a good idea and it won't happen.
^For people who did not understand, it could be criticized.
They will think that this is a form of gambling though it is an investment form for a proper explanation. Religious groups always hate gambling because it is a sin in their eyes and probably the reason this was not unlikely heard by religious leaders.
There are too many ways to promote BTC but I think it is not ideal for the church or any religious group. However, mentioning BTC could be fine and it is up to them if they will have further research on it, at least you spread awareness to them.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of compulsive gambling on: February 11, 2023, 08:59:30 PM
3) You try to gamble more in attempt to recover loss
This is what we know, we mostly chase our losses when we gamble and it's not going to help us stop when there are still losses that need to be covered.
What we aim is to at least recover those losses that we've made and we also know where it is going. Instead of recovering those, what's happening is that we're adding more losses and that's not resulting in good.
We only realize it at the end when we've done so much and we almost got nothing left anymore in our balances.
^ I have done this before and that is why I repeatedly advise them to avoid this possible problem as much as they can, all they have to do is to put self-control so that thinking about chasing loss will not happen. This is also could be a sign of a compulsive gambler and it is not good if you will not correct yourself from the start. When I have continuous losses I usually take a break for a while and then come back when I can get over those consecutive losses. Because I know the more you will urge yourself to take cover losses, you will probably be out of your mind and can't concentrate on gambling, the result could be massive losses. Always put in our mind to be a responsible gamblers.
546  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: February 11, 2023, 08:51:00 PM
That's the key, im constantly thinking about non licensed crypto casino, might even dex casino. with top 15 crypto coins deposit option and 0.5% house edge at maximum.
If you’re going to choose the traditional crypto casinos, it will cost you that much.
DEX will be the best option for you and a Web3, try to search about Moonbet gambling site and see their platform and how it works. You’re good OP for considering everything before going live, its not easy but once you get what you needed, I’m pretty sure you will succeed. I wish you the best and hope to see your good site soon.
^I am taking pictures as a scenario here like the gambling casino Roobet, from scratch to the successful casino we witnessed different strategies they used. First, they won't ask for KYC but later on, as a part of a successful casino, they have to change their policy and become a KYC gambling casino. Probably, DEX or non-KYC casinos will not help if you wanted to become a successful casino.
However, I like the OP's question, an open mindset like this that will be considering possible mistakes in the future will most likely become a successful casino owner someday, those successful ones start from scratch, this depends on how you will market your projects which means, it needs a lot of funds before you can compete with the existing one. Being generous of Roobet and they claimed the fastest growing casino, they are now one of the largest casinos here.
547  Economy / Gambling / Re: Own a profitable gambling site. Looking for investors on: February 11, 2023, 08:35:32 PM
You should have posted full detail about your business. How could you get a good number of investors if you can't provide everything about your casino? Also, there are other formal ways for you to promote your site where you can get more investors and players. You can create an ANN thread so people will get to know if your site is legit and trusted. All we want these days is transparency because scammers are already everywhere.
^In the first place, the casino that OP wanted to sell is have the potential that can generate profit as OP said, but you wonder why OP sell his casino even if it will make a profit? If it can generate that big amount, why not OP continue running with it without looking for investors or even selling that website? Okay if that is so, another factor that people will believe you is the transparency of your business, let us know what website it is so that we can make a review on it. When you have a casino business like this it should have a huge amount of capital that you need and also the bankroll as well.

Hey. I'm not looking to sell the casino. Rather look for an investor that can provide a capital injection to further and faster propel marketing efforts. Furthermore I have no issues sharing URL, screenshots, or anything else over PMs but I'm not going to put it on display for everyone. I was making this post to see if there was any interest from someone to take this conversation further.
^Sorry for the little misunderstanding I thought you are going to sell it but now it was clear you are looking for investors here that will help to pull your casino up. There is a small chance that you will convince people here as an investor if you will not transparent to the community because we are talking here about the credibility to hold the fund which you don't have. What is the assurance that the invested funds are safe in your hand including your business? However, good luck, but I suggest find an investors that you know them personally, in this case no doubt on each other.
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: February 11, 2023, 08:25:56 PM

Anyway fast forward to my second question, will a gambling platform be more attractive for users if the team are 100% doxxed?

What difference does it even make? Just because the team won't hide their faces doesn't mean that they won't cheat their users in the future. At worst, they'll just lose their license, that's all. And to be frank, most casinos are sub-licensed.
^Definitely right and that is only in Curacao e-gaming licensing authority which most gambling casinos license have. These authorized bodies of Curacao offer two types of licenses, the Master License and the one you have said, the Sub-License. But in other licensing casino authorities, it is hard to lose their license because it is hard to obtain another one, the Malta Gaming Authority, and the UK Gambling Commission, it takes 10-16 weeks before you can obtain a license not like Curacao license only 2-3 weeks you can have a license very quick. So the doxxed team on the very hard-to-obtain gaming license will probably have a chance of assurance not to scam us in the future, but I don't think so in Curacao licensing, it seems very easy.
549  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recommendations for Good Esports Betting Sites? on: February 11, 2023, 07:58:22 PM
Thanks everyone for the comments, appreciate it!

Are you planning to expand the offer on Coinslotty casino?

No no, I was just genuinely asking since I wanted to try out the industry again. We got burned with another project before when esports wasn't managed properly, so I don't plan to enter that industry as an operator again, but I would like to try out some part-time betting tests just to see how the industry grew Smiley
Why not if you know their strategic plan and how it will grow?
There are only a few esports betting casinos here and as far as I know, there are only 3 that have been very well-known casinos. Sportsbet.io. Roobet and Stake as the most suggested above. If you will try to visit their site and probably try to engage in discussion in the chatroom you will probably find what you need there. You can try them all to test and have experience, they have different features on each esports betting casino and you surely have an idea of how this industry will work.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 10, 2023, 10:55:30 PM
Farmers who have chickens for eggs especially on a large scale, easily get tired of eating the eggs from their chickens or even eggs in general. Caterers get tired of eating their own pastries, just as people who are exposed to certain produce get tired of them due to over exposure. Do you think this experience is the same for casino owners and owners of sports betting platforms?

Do you think that the owners of casinos and sports betting platform, gamble as much as other people do? If they gamble, do you think they gamble on their platform?

^ Yes, of course, they gamble too.
But not on their own platform, probably other platforms that they did not know. It seems like you are an idiot who places a bet in your own bankroll, if you win, that comes from your pocket. I think they gamble but in other gambling casinos, I have a friend before that who owns a gambling casino or an offline casino, but still, he loves to bet kin cockfighting than placing a bet on his own casino.
However, most probably a gambling casino owner is very busy running their business and it could be there is no time for gambling.

552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite MEME COINS? on: February 09, 2023, 10:56:39 PM
The topic here is which are your favourite Meme coins....its not a crime to ask...Thats the thing in the Forums , you can consult with someone about something.

^A favorite? Sorry, I hate them all, but if there is, it must be a dogecoin.
Meme coins are the worst form of investment and they will probably be considered as you gamble your money when you invested in these meme coins. Yes, they are hype coins that from time to time the price will raise because of the strong support of the community, but after that, they will fall down when the hype is done. You know how risky it is so I don't think all of these meme coins are worth it to invest.
553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: February 09, 2023, 10:50:33 PM
~snip~
I usually watched the videos of a pro trader and learn from their strategy, though of course I didn’t follow them exactly but usually their analysis are ok so listening to them are more ok to me than to listen to a beginner trader. Though we should not depend on them always, we should still need to learn trading and create our own strategy. Trading is very risky, there’s a lot of things that you need to learn first before actually making profit.

Definitely a better move than just following someone blindly.   So better accumulate learning and strategy, combined them accordingly and it will possibly give us better result.
^Definitely right, the time when I was in trading before, this was a strategy that I used. I follow someone that good at trading and I accumulate those pieces of information and knowledge that I gained. It takes how many months before I tried on my own, I do also practice paper trading, demo trading, and copy trading before I decided to do trading on my own, or let's say, it stands on my own strategy and analysis. The more you have references the more knowledge you can accumulate about them, in trading, there is no one strategy that works, you should use different of them that suit you.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have life span? on: February 09, 2023, 10:39:18 PM
Bitcoin is digital currency and it have influence over the nations which many people have queue up for it's technology, my major challenges I'm having and i do meditate seriously and have more concerned over it, is that Bitcoin does it have life span to be varnish or not be recognize again when time comes? Or Bitcoin is going to be a continuous process of digital currency. Referring Gold as a digital currency and others digital currencies that has being into existence before arrival of Bitcoin, their no longer existing and now Bitcoin has taken ground of other digital currencies. Will the technology of bitcoin continue in future time.
^Then I conclude you did not understand yet well the concept behind BTC technology.
BTC is a code on the computer that a holder has control over it, no one can destroy, control, or even make BTC vanish. It is on the people if they will stop accepting BTC. The fixed total supply of BTC will make the price goes up and down, no one can break the code and even change the protocol of BTC, that is why there are many forks of BTC that are created but they are not the same as BTC.

3) You try to gamble more in attempt to recover loss
^It all starts with this.
The number one sign that you must be aware of first is chasing your loss, that is why I did not hunt my loss after my allocation amount has been done, it means it is beyond my limit if I push myself to continue gambling. Once you are there at that stage of being a compulsive gambler it is very hard to get out, you need help probably from one of your family, friends, or relatives.
However, there are too many ways to determine the sign, the problem is how we will manage ourselves to avoid gambling addiction, it should be self-control.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What most gamblers do. on: February 09, 2023, 10:20:40 PM
I want to ask a question. And I need serious answer from this forum, and my question is WHY DOES A GAMBLER DON'T HAVE A SAVINGS.
In my country (Nigeria) there are many gamblers who don't have savings and it isn't help matters at all. Most of these gamblers can't afford for there families but they can afford money they will use to gamble. So why are they not having savings that they can use to help there families in time of lack. Like they said, we save money so money can save us tomorrow. But these gamblers doesn't know that.
^ Do you have stats for this?
Probably this is true if your people there don't have a stable source of income or they only gamble just for their living.
That is a very common thing that will happen here, they gamble for a living and most of those gamblers have come from low-class family which is hoping that gambling someday will help them. People like this don't have stable jobs, they don't have savings at all and they don't think about possibly happen in the future.

6. Reputable Exchange :
^ In all said above was right except this, I did not agree with this.
There is no reputable exchange that could be trusted to store your crypto assets, all of them will become scams in the end if they wanted to.
So I think there is no way to trust centralized exchange, store your assets in a hardware wallet and you are the one who is responsible for keeping your seed phrase, not a third-party exchange.
Nevertheless, the rest you have mentioned was right and must people learn.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going to make mma predictions blog (for gamblers) on: February 08, 2023, 10:39:17 PM

There is a thread created by tokeweed for that which is The UFC Info and Prediction Thread, you can just join there.

Many users in the thread actually do predict almost accurately. One that I see often in the thread who confidently does it is YuginKadoya who he usually lists in the thread. But obviously, the thread is full of users commenting on something that will make you doubt our picks.

This why my blog will be organize.

This simple  thread in bitcointtalks Is not going orginize  like my blog.

On my blog

Everything can track the history and see scrore

For example

You click on fishy0001

You see

Good predictions 58 bad predictions 10 score: 77%

You can follow me

You can   see scroe  of all the members who comments

and follow them

^Sounds interesting, just drop it here so that we will know what is the disadvantage and advantages.
I don't think that is a blog, a thread that has a discussion could be must be called a forum, not a blog because it means you are the only one who writes predictions there. Why not create a thread here with the same concept as your blog and let us see who are those predictions that give accurate result? Sorry but I think people will love to discuss it here in the forum not somewhere else.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 08, 2023, 10:32:26 PM
Gambling has become an everyday thing for some people and this act has lead to serious addiction which is not good. When gambling we should understand that we are just playing for fun. Most people i know around always take gambling as a very serious issue and i have this particular friend that always complains to me how he has stopped gambling but from no where you still see him gambling again. Me myself am a sesonal gambler and i only gamble on the sport i know which is soccer, i think exploration of new gambling games you are familiar with also causes this repeated feeling of always quitting gambling. I just want to know if this phrase is common among everyone or its just he catch phrase whenever you experiences a big loss.
^I am also a seasonal gambler now not like before when I was fully addicted to playing poker but no I want to bet only in sports betting.
I remember before when I have a huge loss playing poker and I said to myself to stop and never gamble, this attempt has probably happened twice every time when I have a huge loss but after a few months, I still miss gambling. Thinking to quit gambling after a huge loss will probably be a natural reaction in most gamblers but I know deep inside they will never let themselves come up with such a decision. So gamble only what you can afford and enjoy gambling because that is for fun.
560  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: February 08, 2023, 10:06:39 PM
These extremly low odds are the worst thing you can possibly use on gambling websites.
Do not forget that there are people that had been making consistent profits from the small odds you are against. Everybidy has things that works for them that might not work for you. Gambling is just all about what works for us so you can think that there are not persons makingoney from that small odds. There was a time I was accustomed to using fee odds to win big profits but anytime I use big odds, I do end up losing the bets. It works for some time until the strategy stop working. Although I enjoyed the profits for a while.
I don't like greed that is why I don't use big odd to win big profits everytime.
^If you are able to win that is all about luck and not just because how much the percentage of the odds.
But you are definitely right, manage your temper and your greed so that you don't have a big loss, the thing that causes you to become an empty pocket is that you are chasing your loss. Whatever happens, don't chase your loss because it may lead to frustration while gambling, and it can be out of your focus. So for me, gambling is based on luck and nothing more, stop when luck was not on your side.
