221  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much knowledge is enough to satisfy an individual on: February 19, 2024, 11:11:54 AM
I could say that the most satisfying level of knowledge is when we can independently decide if that is right or wrong. But if there is fear and doubts, it would tell us that we are not confident yet of our position and it means that we still need to learn more to further enhance our knowledge and market understanding. We can attest to ourselves if we are not ready enough or we are, it can be done when we overcome our fear and gain a strong mindset. Indeed, learning is continuous, and every experience we have every day contributes to learning ideas that are very useful as we continue our crypto journey.
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Reymart Gaballo WBO Bantamweight Title (May 12) on: February 19, 2024, 07:56:14 AM
Moloney will have the advantage of fighting in his country, which might make it difficult to win on the scorecards. Based on their styles I expect it to be a competitive and exciting fight. Moloney doesn't have much power. Gaballo shouldn't be afraid to be aggressive and try to score some knockdowns so that it will convince the judges to give him the victory.
That's often the assumption, as people think judges may favor the champion, especially when fighting in their home country. The camp of Gaballo is likely aware of these possibilities, and rather than relying on that factor, they may strategize to ensure the fight does not go the full 12 rounds.

This is a crucial fight for Gaballo, as he might not have many opportunities if he fails here. On the other hand, the champion, even if he loses, still has the chance to become a top challenger in the future.
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: February 19, 2024, 06:27:17 AM
King Ry was using the philly shell tactic because we can be quite certain that he wanted to avoid the Tank Davis Tyson power punch to his jaw hehehe. He might need to use this tactic against Devin Haney, I reckon. According to someone he has fists of pillows. This is very funny.
Haney is a power puncher but not so aggressive, so he might not use it a lot of time as he is the one who is challenging the champion. And we know how good Haney in the ring, the only way for Garcia to beat him so he'll not lose in the scoring is to hurt him and eventually KO him, which no one has even done it yet.

Also, King Ry changed his trainer. We might witness a new style and use different tactics in the ring. I also wish this fight will be 12 rounds of action and end with a split decision.
That must be a great decision since he won his last fight, although it wasn't that impressive, he needs to improve, train harder since he's up against one of the best fighters in the world, the best in his division now. Garcia for KO, I think I'm gonna risk on that.
224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Kindly Share your trading Stategy. on: February 16, 2024, 08:02:07 AM
When I started trading without having any experience in trading, I did not know panic and lost a lot of money. But now I understand in trading you really need to be patient, don't panic when the price falls. This is a bright time for investment where you collect top market caps in preparation for a bullish market. Investing at this time will be the best investment in the future so it can be a better way than trading.
Often happens that most of us commit mistakes first before learning. We could say that this should never happen but we neglect to think about it at first because what is in our mind is that trading is easy and we get overwhelmed once suffer losses and open our minds to such a learning experience.
We lose but somehow, it opens some doors of learning. Maybe I was wrong but in this trading life, nobody had made a perfect start but all have faced challenges and even lost big amounts.

Therefore, I must say that don't start with a huge amount, let us try the minimum and familiarize the market as it will not hurt if we lose it. Because that amount is part of the learning process which is most probably it loss rather than seeing it multiply.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: February 16, 2024, 03:58:11 AM
Assuming Garcia loses to Devin Haney by knockout or unanimous decision, I suspect there will be not any more boxers and champions that need the mentorship of James. Garcia is in the same place as James, assuming that Haney wins in a spectacular manner, the fans will never again show interest in his next battles.
I don't see this fight ending in KO in favor of Haney. The champion understands that Garcia has a high KO rate, that means his strategy will be the same, he will be using his quickness to score and will look Garcia like an amateur.  If that would be the scenario of the fight, then Garcia's training is not effective, it's a big gamble for him and his trainer, but if he could have a competitive fight even if he losses, I think people would still be interested in watching him since he is the underdog of this fight, and of course, his trainer will keep the job.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP telling people how much Bitcoin you have on: February 15, 2024, 12:51:25 PM
You can trust people but have never been so open to them that you need to show how much you own (BTC). Because I believe there should be some gap between our friends and for security reasons, sometimes we need to hide especially when it comes to money. Because it was hard to determine who were really our true friends and who were not, and even in our family members, not all could be trusted. It is better to keep it private rather than let others know besides, we don't need appreciation instead, we need security as we know that not all our friends are happy with our achievements, even some of our family members.
227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make everybody to win in their crypto trading? on: February 15, 2024, 11:57:47 AM
They are imparting tips in trading but they are not making decisions on behalf of other traders. I will tell you OP that even having those techniques and ideas from experts doesn't mean you can be like them because it matters in decision-making which we all are different.

Will you believe me saying that I can make you succeed in trading? Maybe you have trust in me but I don't think you are 100% confident that I can do it.
That is quite simple, not just words, tips, strategies, and ideas, or being with these experts makes us succeed but it matters how our minds work.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a betting shop be so dubious like this on: February 15, 2024, 07:04:35 AM
I believe xif the ticket is unsettled and the gambler goes to the headquarters he will be settled from there,  because even if it's the agent that makes the payment but the casino itself is who deposits the money to the agent account before being used,  so I believe the gambler will get his full payment and if I were in the gambler shoes,  I will just go straight to the headquarter immediately the ticket is marked won.

Because that is a big amount of money,  and that agent being unavailable is something that gave the staff and friend the chance to try to scam the gambler.

There should be enough proof that you win if you have the ticket. Even without the agent, you can still claim that money. Though I'm not really sure about the arrangement on this particular country where this betting shop is operating, but it's pretty simple, you got the evidence, you can claim the money.

When a gambling site is not honoring it, it just speak a lot about their reputation, they are scammers and cannot be trusted. Maybe if this winner who file a case will win, that would be the end of the betting shop. Imagine, scammers risking their reputation on that small amount?
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 15, 2024, 06:25:10 AM
i am also on this sentiment, Japanese people are one of the honest people on this planet so i won't doubt the judging on this match. besides, the judges are not all japanese, right? and for ancajas not to think about the judging bias, why not knock out inoue as early as he can?

I do not know if the Japanese boxing judges has changed or the commission does not tolerate such a sided decision regardless of the boxing performance, but in previous years Japanese judges have been known to side with their boxers , so for the visiting boxer to win, he has to knock out his Japanese opponent.  It is good to have judges that are not Japanese, at least if this guy had not bought, the decision might seen as fair.

Quote
i can also understand the results of the poll here as i noticed there are a lot of filipinos in the forum as compared to japanese. actually, i don't know anyone who is japanese. so yeah, sure, the poll will be favouring ancajas here... Grin Grin

Honestly, I have no confidence that Jerwin Ancajas will win this fight.  He was been cracked by Fernando Martinez twice and his win in his previous fight won't count because he faced a player that has little resistance to punches (16 losses 7 of them kissing the canvas).

But you have to understand that when he fought Martinez, he already had problems with his weight, he has outgrown that division already and we can say the Martinez is a great boxer as well.

Then he has to get that cherry pick up when he goes up in weight, to bring back his confidence and so Ancajas win via KO.

We will find out if Ancajas is still a champion by heart. He lose his belt in another division, now he is in bantamweight which I believe he has no problem with the weight and he is more powerful here. Inoue isn't really a KO artist, so there's nothing to worry here, unless Ancajas will allow himself to get outbox by the champion which obviously would result to a unanimous decision victory by the home fighter.

Quote
So we can't really say that he will lose this fight although he is a big underdog against a Japanese. You can also say that argument against Takuma when he was beaten by Nordine via knockout. But the Takuma comes back and win the belt.
For sure, that's why I could not resist myself on betting on him, with a very attractive odds,  who would say no to it. It's my way of supporting Ancajas and if he wins, I'll be able to reward myself too.
230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are people getting scared to Trade on: February 14, 2024, 02:25:18 PM
They are not just scared but it is obvious that they lack of knowledge about trading to gain courage. It was a big mistake to get into something that you never knew well as it was just a suicide. I could understand why people are afraid rather than appreciate those people who traded even though they were not prepared.

Trading is a choice, not an urge. So we don't get shocked if someone ignores this because they feel not comfortable doing this knowing that they are capable enough. It is better to be safe rather than take risks even knowing that just have a slim chance of becoming successful.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need more influencial women in crypto to help the gender embrace it? on: February 14, 2024, 01:29:02 PM
snip~
Perhaps there are some which are doing really great but we haven't got to hear their names.
Because they think they don't need to show up and tell the world that they are investing in crypto despite their gender.
In fact, social media influencers are more influential than these legit investors as we see. Many people believe these fake investors than those who are officially investing in cryptocurrencies. Because it was not the name or gender, what makes people embrace crypto is their interest and the way they understand how this works. Once they feel confident, with no doubts they will get into it and start. Building trust can't be made too easily or too fast which is why the adaption happens slowly, not an instant.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a betting shop be so dubious like this on: February 14, 2024, 03:55:24 AM
When I saw this I was just like how do this people even think, so they are trying to defraud the gambler when they actually know how difficult it is to get a winning.
There are scam betting shop, casinos, and even online sites.
Choosing where to gamble should be based on the reputation of a gambling shop, although it could minimize the risk choosing those that has a good reputation, it doesn't guarantee that scam will not happen as they can also be greedy, but that is putting their reputation at risk.

Anyway, if it's in my locality this kind of action by the betting agent and his workers will definitely leads to violence which would never be a good thing for both parties, and secondly, due to this particular action by The agent, the customes will definitely lose confidence and trust in the betting platform due to this, moreover it would not have lead to this if the owner of the betting shop put his house in other by employing a sincere manager to run the affairs of the business.
This doesn't need a violent reaction, if there's a working justice in your country, all you have to do is just to sue them. All you need is to show proof as evidence and I'm sure the court will order the shop to pay the winnings, and might even add compensation on damages.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 14, 2024, 03:04:25 AM
Hassan Whiteside retired from the game of basketball today. He hasn’t been in the NBA for a bit I don’t think and he hasn’t been a relevant NBA player for even longer, but when he was having his moment in the NBA he put up some monster numbers. I remember seeing him get 20 rebounds and 9 blocks in a game. Not sure where it all went wrong.
I think he was injured and when he came back he wasn't the same anymore, probably just like Klay Thompson, at least this guy still has some contract. He average a double double with the Miami Heat, but was traded to acquire Jimmy Butler. After that, his career slowly was going sour.

Meanwhile, after getting the Nuggets dominated at home, it seems like the Bucks are gassed out on their back to back game against the heat, they are now in the process of experiencing a blowout loss. Miami probably is better without  Butler? Smiley
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL bitcoins, you can do it! Look at HODL camp map to build up strong hands on: February 13, 2024, 08:54:29 PM
Holding really matters in investing in Bitcoin but it doesn't mean we have to do this our whole life. If we take a look at the price chart, prices are growing but can we think this will be the same trend in the next few years? Not for sure and it was uncertain. So I could say that holding will not be forever as it also depends on the market situation. Selling our Bitcoin during the bull season is a perfect option IMHO and get on the train back again once the market correction starts. But yes, this needs strong hands because waiting for 4 years is not as easy as people think as we need to deal our emotions as well.
235  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading or Long term on: February 13, 2024, 03:12:27 PM
You are just comparing day trading and investing OP. When asking which one is more profitable, well, the answer will depend on - the trader and investor itself.

But for me,  I could say that day trading is quite making some good money as we can possibly earn some profit every day which if all accumulated and counted, can be a bigger amount to generate compared to the earnings we got from holding for a few months. But, this won't generalized as this just happens to traders that we can say are performing well, those so-called pro-traders. But if we choose to be safe at least, investing should be in our minds.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: February 13, 2024, 01:07:40 PM
Finally, the 175 division will be fully unified soon. I voted for Bivol to win by decision. But only because Beterbiev is past his prime although still very capable of beating world-class fighters. Bivol has underrated power and he needs to get the respect of Beterbiev if he wants to survive.

There will be some factors that matter here like the size of the ring. Bivol prefers a bigger one so he can move well and utilize his skills while the 3-belt champion Beterbiev would love a smaller ring so it is easier for him to engage.

And the Saudi host already has someone in his mind for the winner of this fight, lineal cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia.

Right, I think Beterbiev could be the A-side here and dictate all the terms? including what you mentioned, like the ring size. But it looks like though that this two Warriors are not to look like those American boxers who like to have control of every thing, ring size, gloves that are going to be used, who comes first in the billing and others.

This are Warriors, they just want to fight and see who is gong to be the best in this division. And yeah, all the belts are going to be in the line here, so we will finally see a unification fight in the 175 lbs, best of the best.

That's the right definition of these two boxers, "warriors". They are here to fight and show to the public that they deserve to enjoy a good fight. With Beterbiev's aggressiveness, this is not going to be a boring fight and will surely entertain the fans that are watching this fight. If a fighter has a repution being entertaining, it would not be hard to market a fight, so we should watch the fight from the very start as it's possible to witness a short fight knowing their knockout power.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 13, 2024, 11:51:38 AM
Anyway, with Wemby's ability I believe we'd be seeing more of it. The Spurs main focus moving forward is to improve their roster and learn how to maximize Wemby's talent. They are relatively young and seems only playing to be recognized individually, that's what make them one of the worst team in the NBA today.
Poor shot selections and missed assist for an easier play for the Spurs has been circulating over the internet today.

He is still on his rookie year, of course we will see more than that in the future. If you look at Wemby now, all he have is his height and his good ball handling ability, but once he developed his body and get more experience, theres's a possibility that he will become more dominant than the current state of Giannis. I'm just hoping that he will stay healthy as the Spurs will probably be back to a playoff team once everything is developed within the team.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 12, 2024, 03:24:18 PM
I sure will bet on him. I am also waiting for more markets so I could find some attractive odds, you know what I'm saying.
They have a local community here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=252.0... but most of them if not all are just focus on their community. If they will discuss about boxing, most probably on their own language.
You can monitor the odds here. Not much yet but the moneyline odds is already attractive for me. This odds that you are looking for might be available in Feb 23, a day before the fight. This is a championship fight but both boxers aren't so popular in the boxing world, so it's understandable why markets are not yet out early.

I guess I have to vote for Ancajas to win via KO.. I feel it's the safest way to win, no shady thing or whatsoever, let's respect the judges decision but as a challenger, the best way to win is not on the scorecards.

Thanks for sharing. I also checked on other sportsbook, it's still the same, they have limited odds for this fight as of now. There was no changes, Ancajas is still at x3 to win. Just a quick update, it's 12 days to go before this championship fight, hopefully the training now is already relax as they can't go full force training at this stage as they might overtrain leading to postponement of the fight again.

I'm searching for updates of these two but could not find any significant and latest update, not so hype unlke other fights because these two are probably not good with talking trash to each other, it's only Casimero who are experts on this among the Filipino boxers. LOL
239  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Browser app with a crypto wallet. on: February 12, 2024, 10:38:02 AM
I have Brave Browser but never have the guts to use this instead, I; 'd keep this as a browser only.
Electrum wallet does so well, so no need I have to try a new one. We are talking about security here and I was not sure how safe is these browser wallets and extensions. I won't say don't use browser apps but have to take it cautiously. It was more secure when we really had full control of wallets like having personal key/passwords,  especially if we plan to store more funds for a long time.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Teofimo Lopez Vs. Jamaine Ortiz WBO Welterweight Title February 8 on: February 09, 2024, 08:46:34 AM
For those who wants to view this fight live, see the link below if this will work in your area as it is fine and working in our place.

https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?ref=search&v=1429606197984101

Thanks bro, great timing. the 2nd round has just finished and thus far they are still adjusting. This Jamaine Ortiz is quite slick, he moved a lot and doesn't go toe to toe battle with Lopez, so there's a huge chance that we might not see a KO here, rather the fight will end via decision.

Edit : people seemed not enjoying the action as Ortiz  became like Mayweather, he is so defensive here.

I hope Lopez won't get too frustrated... Grin

You're welcome bro.

Lopez did win the fight with not much engagement as Ortiz was disciplined enough to stick to their game plan. Though i agree with the judges to give the fight to Lopez but he should have done more on cutting the gap between them, you just could not stand there and expect your opponent to come and hit you, this is boxing, hit and don't get hit lol.

117-111, 115-113 (2X), were the scores of the judges for Lopez.

He was really frustrated but good thing he won the fight. I don't know why he was emotional after he was announce as the winner, I think he wasn't sure that he will win the fight because he was always saying that Ortiz  didn't come to fight. It was a boring fight, we didn't see a real entertainment and it seems like Ortiz understands he will be KO if he choose to go toe to toe with the champion. Hopefully next time Lopez would be able to find an opponent that would really accept his challenge so they will not be boo'd by the fans.
