1221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 11, 2022, 08:10:13 AM
This one is a better fight for Spence, hopefully he is not thinking that he can easily beat Thurman because I'm sure he is wrong since Thurman is a tough challenger. I like Thurman here to win, I'm sure the odds will be very attractive, though I think he will only be a slight underdog but I'm hoping bookies will put him as heavy underdog just for better odds.

I also like Thurman getting an upset win so the Crawford- Spence will push because now Spence will be the one to go after Crawford instead of the other way around, Spence right now thinks he is the A fighter between the two of them so if Thurman wins the level is even, but this is wishful thinking as we all know Spence is a superior fighter than Thurman, the reality is both Crawford and Spence will eventually win and history will repeat itself between the two and they will dare one another to sign the deal.

The fight you are expecting is not going to happen if Spence will lose this fight. Crawford will just seek a better opponent and that is not him, maybe a Thurman fight will be witnessed if Thurman will win here, so let's hope that it will happen. At least this fight is not 100% one sided, we have boxing fans who still believe that Thurman can still be a champion.

I also doubt Thurman will win against Spence. He'd been ducking to fight Spence for years asking an incredible pay. He is in decline for years but the fight may last 12 rounds since he has a good tank. Somehow he was given a shot after defeating Barios.

Crawford vs Spence is not happening, Crawford is now on a different network, and negotiation is off.

Well, let's just see in the actual fight. I know most of us to believe that Spence will win but I would love to join the minority who believes that Thurman can win via upset here. I tried to check on the betting odds to know how the bookies sees this fight but it seems no sportsbook had an odds on this yet.

It is unbelievable what Bucks players are doing even without Giannis and Kris Middleton at the same time. I mean this team is keep winning games and they are missing their 2 best players. I used to think that Bucks was great thanks to Giannis, and even believed that Giannis alone couldn't do much if Kris didn't help so much with the scoring.

Now.. well I am not so sure, apparently Bucks is already good and Giannis is of course 2 time MVP and having a third MVP season nowadays, but that doesn't mean it’s like Lebron in Cavs and when you take him they sucked type of deal, it is actually good even without their MVP caliber player and that’s an amazing thing.

It was a job well done. But they were against a weak team though. They will visit the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow, another winnable or 50/50 game for them even without Giannis. I will only give them huge credit if they can beat the Atlanta Hawks at Milwaukee this coming Tuesday without Giannis.

Giannis alone is very difficult to stop. Provide him with 4 players that can shoot anywhere and they are still good. Kris Middleton though is a big factor when it comes to the playoffs where the real game begins.

Without their star players, that will make the team more prepared in a battle, and this win would prove that they are not only good because of Giannis but because they are a team, just like the Jazz, there's no supertar but as a team they are good that's why they keep winning games.

. Also, I'm with the Blazers against Pelicans, that's ML because they are rolling.

Great win, Blazers upset the Pelicans in their home. Pelicans were the heavy favorite but Blazers keep on surprising us, even without Lillard again, they still win games, so congrats to you mate. By the way, you lose your bet on Dallas but that ML on Blazers is big enough to give you a profitable night.

1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The bear market is your friend on: November 10, 2022, 09:49:17 AM
Indeed, we don't need to be worried when the bear market comes but consider this as your way to accumulate more coins that will pump in the future. Because whether we like it or not, things like this will eventually come as its time. Might I understand the worried for the newcomers but for those who are here and experiencing this, it certainly they'll take this as an opportunity.

So, instead of bothering ourselves and become stress with the situation, we'd rather make this moment to buy more and hold more coins as sooner, this will give us profit.
1226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Bear Market Mistakes to Avoid on: November 09, 2022, 10:12:18 PM
Panic
Putting in Emotional Efforts
Investing short-term
Overtrading
Mental Health

For real, crypto trading is somewhat stressful in general. I can see how it ruins our concentration and build health issues. As the more we think about it, the more affects our mindset and focus. In fact, I have had these feelings before and I am really broke but gradually I change and manage to control it as I learn from my mistakes. It is a little bit challenging how to adapt to the situation but we should do it in the seek of not losing our money. There is no instant change as I can see as learning can be done gradually.
1227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 09, 2022, 01:20:08 PM

NBA need modern big mans which can shoot on 3s and Howard is outdated that's why he didn't get any interest from any teams. But its still a good choice playing overseas since maybe if he can dominate there and can able to show his worth especially his inside presence maybe there are teams would spare him a contract. But let see what will happen to his career if he can show good numbers or he will totally go resign since at the end of the day he don't need to prove anything since he's a champion and already a hall of famer.

Just like Jokic, he is a good example of a real center now, because he is an all-around player. Howard is popular of a hack a Howard, just like Shaq, because they have a very low percentage in the Free Throw line. honestly, what I see is that Howard is only effective in getting into the head of a center he is guarding, just like Jokic, he is effective in destroying his focus in some of the games, particularly in the playoffs when the Lakers won a championship.

Yes, but that comes with experience and that's why Howard is good at that right now, he has been in the league and with good teams to play mind games.

But his FT and him not have a shooting outside could be the biggest factor why team are not interested in his services. He could really be outdated with today's center. But who knows, maybe there are teams looking to get some decide center just a good 5-10 minutes on the floor to get their Center a rest. And Dwight could be perfect like in Portland or even the Bulls. And that experience might come in handy in the playoffs.

Experience would help but one problem of Howard also is he still thinks he is a superstar, he sometimes plays dirty and that's not what I admire about him. I can see his aggressiveness, he still shows it in a game but hopefully, it will not hurt someone in the court.

Wait, so he says goodbye to the NBA already with this news?

Dwight Howard signs deal with Taiwanese team Taoyuan Leopards

Quote
Dwight Howard has signed a deal with a Taiwanese professional team, the Taoyuan Leopards, he announced Monday. Howard, who has played 18 NBA seasons and made eight All-Star teams, played last season for the Los Angeles Lakers. However, after a disappointing year in his third stint in purple and gold, he could not find a new home in the NBA for this season. So, as he revealed on social media, he's headed to Taiwan.

Don't make your life known to other people and never make use of your money to gain fame and recognization cause we never that one of these people is just looking for an opportunity to get it from us. I hold crypto, and I tell my friends as well, however, never I discuss how it gives me money but rather tell them how it was useful to us in this generation where we are in digital adoption. In that way, they will think that crypto is just a currency like fiat money, not an investment. So, nobody has an interest in me. Grin Grin

15 games, 1 win, 4 team bet losses, and 1 parlay loss. Does someone have some medicine for this kind of heartache?  Cheesy
I'll just share my one win in live betting.

I guess I also need that one-day rest just to clear my head.
Do you guys believe that the games this season is more unpredictable than last year? More like a balanced one? Bucks exempted.  Grin

Yes, I believe that games now are more difficult to predict, unlike before you are just focusing
with handicap when heavy favorite is playing, but now upset happen from time to time.

The last win is intense so close luckily GSW manage to hold and cover your handicap, not your day today, take time to assess and
try to find some good picks tomorrow.

Best of luck!

Because teams are not always as we expected. Lots of teams now that does not show up based on our expectations.
Teams that are supposed to be in rebuilding mode are dominating, and that is the Jazz.

We also have the super team which are struggling, naming the obvious are the Lakers and Nets, also Clippers are struggling as well.
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear market Survivals on: November 08, 2022, 11:58:08 AM
Any coin that survives this bear market will do well come the bull season
I'm going straight - a lot of coins to survive at this bear season but if we talk about shitcoins, doubted any of them will do that as possible they will turn dead. So make sure that you are free from having any of them but rather buy and keep those potential coins that we believe that it will survive in any kind of market condition and we know that gives us profit.

Some people are talking about luck but this is not what we needed, research is very important and of course, choosing the right coin.
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you expect something positive with Litecoin after its Halving ? on: November 08, 2022, 11:01:03 AM
As we know Litecoin Halving is near so I want to your opinions about it, what are your estimates about the progress of Litecoin after halving, Will LTC be in the same state as it's currently or can we see massive growth in its progress? Please do share your thoughts. Thanks
As I believe it and in fact, it was been known to us that after halving, pumps are always there. So, what we gonna expect after halving is the majority will do the price rally and that will include Litecoin for sure. That is why I don't bothered myself thinking about the negative news about LTC. Perhaps, we never know what exactly will happen a few years from now but I live to such confidence that this project will also increase its price at that time.
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin a forgotten cryptocurrency? on: November 07, 2022, 08:53:00 PM
I'd see no reason to say that Litecoin is on its way to dying. NO - Litecoin remains valuable despite the situation that its name hasn't been recognized by many investors but I certainly believe this project won't be like others who turn to shitcoins. In fact, Litecoin is very useful to the market, many people are still using this day by day but it wasn't talking too much because that is the nature of this project, no one even tried to make influence this and make hype, unlike the others.
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 07, 2022, 12:52:19 PM

Indiana Pacers vs New Orleans Pelicans - Pelicans -5.5
I kinda agree with this pick, Pacers is not a playoff team already and NOP losses in their last game so they'll probably bounce back strong.

Atlanta Hawks vs Milwaukee Bucks - Bucks -3.5 - This is a risk, Giannis is listed as probable.

I think it's the Lakers and Knicks that will be worth the underdog bet.

Probable means he will likely play, but if you want to be sure, just wait for the game time before placing your bet.
Anyway, I think that spread is doable, they are still undefeated until now.
1235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 04, 2022, 03:28:04 PM
I am surprised no one is talking about this here yet, I guess it's probably because no one really knows who DK Yoo is(even I don't know who he is).
anyway, Manny Pacquiao is having an exhibition match against DK Yoo in a boxing match on December 10. I am not that interested in who he is fighting but I'd still watch the fight because I want to see Pacquiao in the ring again. besides, Pacquiao said that he'd give us a "real fight"(he said in one of the articles I've read) which I hope he would actually do.

I don't really know what to think about this. I really like Manny Pacquiao as a fighter usually but now even he is starting with that stupid exhibition matches. I disliked those stupid exhibition matches from the start and i did not watch a single one of them. The only thing i watched was the highlights of the fight between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. because i just had to watch Mike Tyson. In general i think all those exhibition matches of Logan and Jake Paul or whatever stupid celebrities or influencers are really hurting the boxing sport as a whole.
Also i think it is time for Pacquiao to retire. He is 43 years now and it would hurt his legacy if he keeps on fighting much longer and gets more losses.

Get used to it man, this is the trend now, retired fighters are fighting popular social media celebrities for money, and I would say it's an easy money because a fight can be scripted and no one would complain since it's just for the purpose of entertainment, from the word "exhibition" fight.
1236  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption Should Be Taught From Young Age on: November 04, 2022, 02:52:53 PM
The reason people are corrupt is nothing more than wanting wealth and fame.
But before that, whatever the younger one sees with the older folks, they'll just do the same thing as if it's just a normal thing. And that's why corruption is being passed on.
When a person who's been used to it and got some acquaintance, that person teaches them how to be corrupt even if he's not being taught directly. Because, he sees the activity and just copies it and thinks that it's a normal thing to do and that's why it's a good idea to teach to avoid corruption at a young age.
Ohh, that become an ongoing practice by now. Once the oldies died, the new generation will carry the torch and continue, and even worse.
The more we teach young ages, the more it gives them the idea of how these things have been done and might be leading to planning earlier. The best thing I have found is not to teach about politics, not to teach about corruption until such time they are old enough to understand the situation. It is best to keep them ignorant of this and to give them no idea, otherwise, they have some reason of doing it in the future.
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your reason for investing in NFT? on: November 04, 2022, 02:25:06 PM
Share with me your story and the reasons why you switched from crypto investing to nft? 🙂
What was the reason behind it? And what was interesting about it? 😉
To tell you that I have no good experience inf NFTs, I have some collections of these but have no chance to sell them at this time. I was really hopeless about them and in regret of falling into the wrong investment. Maybe I'm not a lucky person and yes, I really don't have because I expect a lot from them, but unfortunately they turned to like a scam project, and just realized it after. I was been fooled by the hyped before making me decide to invest in them. I was too blind not to see it before things happen.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? on: November 04, 2022, 01:27:56 PM
Let's first see what will happen in this month and especially December. We all know there's a history of Bitcoin having an ATH at that month, and it could pull up all the altcoins if ever it does bring a pump, even a small one would suffice to counter the bear market that happened in this year.
But for now, all I could say is that it is quiet, like its resting or hibernating.
If only the war didn't happen between Russia and Ukraine, it could've been different. Sanctions and the pandemic really messed up the economy.
Not all have that event (ATH) during December and not even this year as well. But what we probably see is a few pumps due to a surge of market demand, yet this won't lead to a bull market as we'd still be staying at the current situation until the end of this year. In fact, if we take the economic crisis and market inflation as a factor that could affect crypto, it certainly drags the price down the hill than expecting the price increase this year. Because as long as we facing the current economic status, it was really hard to think about ATH, even it was shown in the past years.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 04, 2022, 11:57:11 AM
^It's all Jamal Murray in the 4th quarter. I didn't expect that, I thought the Nuggets are still conducting restricted minutes for him. Surprisingly, it went well for him and he got so hot he even made a dunk against two defenders. I bet that will be in the top 10 of the week.

1/2.

GSW. Erkk.
I don't know what is happening but this ain't the Warriors that we knew. 3rd quarter is the time when they mostly dominate every game but the Orlando Magic won today. Klay could've passed it one more to Jerome (iirc) at the right corner but he decided to shoot it. Well, it will be a different story if it went in.

Yeah, as I have been speculating, and it's good that I have skip the Warriors game, that they have problems getting a win now. Although their big 4 score huge numbers specially Curry, Not enough, now we can see how the second unit last year was better as compare to their line up. Kuminga ang Moody is a no show. And Klay has been playing good in this game and the most important shot, he missed it.

Good for you skipping the warriors' game. It was unexpected, like the post above you said,

Warriors mostly dominated the 2nd half and they are really good at maintaining their leads, but both the game
against Heat and Magic, they messed it up in the last few minutes.

But Kudos to the Magic, they really play hard today which gave them the win against the defending champ.

Warriors suddenly belong to the teams that are struggling now, the Lakers, Warriors, and Nets, they are supposed to be the favorites but look at where they are now. For the Warriors, I know they can solve this problem and if they will continue to struggle, that will only make their odds better.

As of now, they are still 4.00 the top favorite to win in the West.
1240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2022, 01:28:57 PM
In my opinion on this topic, I think it doesn't matter how many bitcoin Elon musk, and it also does not matter whether he sold or not, 1 bitcoin will continue to remain 1 bitcoin, and if in the future, bitcoin becomes generally accepted as a means of exchange for goods and services, Bitcoin's worth in USD wont matter anymore.

But for the sake of this discussion, i will conclude with this, Bitcoin is completely decentralized and depends not on one man to determine to its price in USD, its doesn't matter whether Elon sells or not, when the market decides, Bitcoin will surly hit $100k and beyond, with Elon still holding or with Zero balance in his bitcoin wallet.
Though we know the influence of this person on the community, especially in social media, it was not enough to control and influence the entire crypto market. Indeed, he is capable of buying a lot of Bitcoin but no matter how many he is holding now or even if it sell them by tomorrow, the price of Bitcoin will even move without his market presence. If ever he can do it, then I say it is great but never I expect such a trend, not unless the bull season comes as I know the price of Bitcoin will move high.
