221  Economy / Gambling / Re: PvP Games in Casinos | What's your thoughts? on: January 05, 2024, 08:21:59 PM
I don't like the feeling of being defeated by other gamblers and also winning against the others. But if this is some sort of fun from the other gamblers that preferred it, that's how it goes for them when it's about having fun and making also a profit out of these games. IMO, the majority of us have got this idea of PvP with computer or online games before and with this, I have never thought that it is going to happen with gambling. Because even in the conventional way of gambling, what I know is we're always against the house. And up to this point with online casinos, it's always against the house but no, we've got sportsbetting and the typical poker players that are going against each other. I think that I like poker if it's with the pvp feature unlike the other casino games like dice or plinko.

Actually, if you zoom out the point of view about one going against the home when comes to most of the traditional gambling games, you must also consider the fact that most of the money which is paid to you when you win comes from the house, though actually comes from other players who lost money to the casino. It is almost the same if you think about it that way.
Yes, I know this fact and the winnings that I'd get from doing sportsbetting is also coming from the other players for which is just distributed by the house and they take commissions out of it. Technically, it's a PvP as well but, you don't go directly against other players but the money that you'll win or lose.

The business model of PvP games is different from the other kind of games where one is directly against the house, profits from those PvP matches comes from a fixed fee which the casino charges to the players, for the rights to play. In that case, the casino does bot directly benefit from the volume of money which go through the tables but rather from the volume of active users having those matches Players versus Player.

So, do not feel bad when you defeat other players, it is how this is supposed to work in PvP and gambling. There is where fun comes from: uncertainty.
While that makes sense to me and it is how it goes with gambling. Sometimes, I just can't help myself to think like that when someone posting his losses and getting the sympathy or the clout that he wants. But it wouldn't even happen if that guy didn't gamble in the first place, right?
222  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: January 05, 2024, 06:44:26 PM

December Top Trader Program winners list

223  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: January 04, 2024, 09:37:13 PM

Ito ang update sa ngayon habang tinatype ko ito;

Code:
No Priority | Low Priority | Medium Priority | High Priority
35 sat/vB       35 sat/vB       38 sat/vB          43 sat/vB
$2.17          $2.17            $2.36               $2.67

227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 31, 2023, 09:46:45 PM
Of course, streamers still care, but most of them only think about making money to attract more people with their other videos. That is normal, considering they work through their affiliate links to make money. They may have other sources of income that we need to learn about.
No contest that many of them will only care with how much they're going to make and that's why many are continuous into gambling advertisement. Honestly, in my country, this has been an issue when most influencers or streamers have included a casino promotion on their videos because they also have audiences that are younger than the teens.

If they are famous streamers, they get many real viewers watching them live. But some watch using bots to increase the number of viewers. These people are dishonest because they only want to get something using bots. Indeed, there are various streamers and we can choose the streamer we want.
It doesn't make sense to just add views with bots. Because who's going to see that if it's only bots? I think that there's an advantage on them when they just do that so, they've got a lot of viewers in paper but in reality, they're faking it through it. Did you see someone who actually does it? I am watching many streamers and usually they've got tallied and genuine viewers count.
228  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Merry Christmas mga kabayan!!! on: December 30, 2023, 08:54:03 PM
Merry Christmas at Happy New Year sa ating lahat mga kabayan.

230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees have disappointed me today on: December 29, 2023, 10:31:28 PM
I don't think so, it's just going to happen that Bitcoin won't be ideal for payments but still the best store of value.

Just a question, how can be a highly volatile entity be the best store of value?
What do you describe Bitcoin? Do you hold it as an investment? If so, then you're considering it as a store of value. Or, this is my take about Bitcoin for being the best store of value because this is what I've got. The other store of value, I don't have them and that's why it is the best for them. Thus, we're in a Bitcoin forum that makes every person here anticipate that they're also in Bitcoin but we've got different thoughts of how it is for being the best or not.
231  Economy / Economics / Re: The steps to follow in creating a budget on: December 29, 2023, 08:11:43 PM
You have forgotten the simplest and most basic thing of creating a budget but it's one of the most important thing and that's to list all of your expenses and where your budget is going. With that, you'll be able to track your expenses and you know where it will be spent. Because if you don't have that list and you're good at the other things, how are you going to track them all? You've listed about #4 as creating and writing the budget but I think that should be at the top together with determining your income/expenses.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 29, 2023, 06:55:17 PM
Not all streamers are here and most of them really are not. While if you've got the idea on how these streamers do and how their attitudes are then that only means that you have an idea if they're going to influence you or not.
If the streamer had no intentions and just shared what he was doing in gambling, perhaps more people would follow him. After all, he only shares what he does and always warns of the impact of gambling. That means he cares about what other people will face and always warns them to be careful if they want to gamble. But most streamers show times when they have had big winning moments, which makes many of their followers interested and want to try their luck. That's what makes many people fall into gambling because they gamble without having good self-control.
There can gamblers that care like that but not all of them are like that. With today's familiarity of streaming, it's all about money and viewers and fame. That's all and there's no need to hide anything from the people because it's their livelihood and that's where they're getting their money to gamble.

Yes, that's what they are called for as influencers and that's why they are going to continue making videos and it is not just for affiliate links that they'll display there. But also the content that they are making because it is their way of living and they make money of their videos.
Influencers already know how to make money from their videos, which makes them increasingly create exciting videos. That way, they can get a lot of followers who will follow them to gamble. It depends on how the followers respond to what they watch from the streamers. They also don't need to follow those influencers if they can't gamble well or don't have things that can prevent them from getting too deep into gambling.
So whether they make videos or just streams, there will always be followers of them. IMO, there is not that much audience with them but the good thing about these certain gambling streamers is that they're getting real live viewers and real engagement.
233  Economy / Economics / Re: Will they ever be able to afford a house? on: December 29, 2023, 10:27:56 AM
I personally prefer to rent a house, because going to the office is a bit closer and more economical or efficient. Compared to buying a house that is far from the office, and investing the remaining money every month little by little, for me the investment is much more valuable for the future.
It actually varies per person's situation. Before, I don't understand why people prefer to rent than to own a house. Until I realize about work related matters, the convenience of moving from one place to another and the maintenance of the house is easier and not costing that much for the renter. Definitely one reason why someone is moving to rent is because the office or job is near and also the other necessities like hospital, groceries, etc. All of those stuff are important for someone to rent. And most of the rental properties are in the cities or areas where there's much foot traffic. Many people think that buying a house is a liability because of the mortgage that you're going to pay for so many years. They've got a point but you have to understand as well that you're not going to work forever so, if you are able to purchase a house and able to pay mortgage do it and if you're fortunate enough, do it with cash.

If we choose the right investment in the crypto industry, especially since next year will enter a bullish phase, of course we can buy a house much faster than the mortgage.
It's going to take time but it's a good decision to distribute your profit from this space into your own house or even a rental property of your own.
234  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 29, 2023, 08:54:28 AM
Oo mura din sa BNB ang fees tapos puwede convert yung mga butal na nasa kanila kaya it make sense naman.

235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a Replacement for a College Savings Plan on: December 28, 2023, 11:48:05 PM
That sounds cool but what you're saying is that college won't be needed anymore in the future so why still save with it? Before, we've got our retirement plans and funds and this time someone's college savings plan. I think it won't be a problem if it's going to be me that will take this risk. But as you take this risk and do it for someone, that's the hard part of it. We can easily take all of these risks and let them get along in the future handing over them this money. And with this plan, it is just all about the uncertainty. Yes, we're all Bitcoin investors and optimists about its future but this is someone's future not ours.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 28, 2023, 10:46:52 PM
Because this forum is more than just a forum but it's a huge community that has a lot of people that are also concerned with others welfare. But for us to find out whether the streamer is good or not, it's your choice if you'll judge them based on how they stream and market the casino. Typically, they are what you're thinking about them and are just there to provide exposure for the casino they advertise.
Those of us who are on this forum are truly lucky to be able to gain a lot of knowledge that is useful for our lives, not only about gambling but also other things related to life. And yes, we only know what a streamer is if we follow him and often watch him while he's streaming. Of course, we still have to look for more information from this forum or other places where we look for information so that we can determine and make decisions.
Not all streamers are here and most of them really are not. While if you've got the idea on how these streamers do and how their attitudes are then that only means that you have an idea if they're going to influence you or not.

I'm not a fan of these links, they are affiliate links that are usually they'll earn commissions for. That's one of their target and that's to make their fans sign up under their link, it's also a metric of the sponsor casino to know how effective they are.
They will continue to make interesting videos so they can get more people to sign up via their affiliate link. And I also don't easily register through those streamers if I accidentally see their videos on my social media. Usually, I just watch what they show and then move on to another streamer.
Yes, that's what they are called for as influencers and that's why they are going to continue making videos and it is not just for affiliate links that they'll display there. But also the content that they are making because it is their way of living and they make money of their videos.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 28, 2023, 09:46:35 PM
With the way he's showing his greatness, it's a tough call for anyone to challenge him, I think on his division right now after unifying
all the belts, challenger might think twice.

Though we can't remove that fact fighters always love the challenge so either top rank fighter will negotiate, or promoters will bring names
to Inoue's camp and see if which fighter will be the next one to try Inoue's greatness.

For now, let him enjoy another achievement, unifying all the belts after moving up that's really something that will remembered.
Yeah, it is uncontested and he's just proven himself to be undefeated.

or maybe things will change once he climb up weight , and climb another . His speed and power
is good and best at his weight and division now but once he goes up and  higher , things will change of course.
this is also similar with pacquiao in his prime that he almost unbeatable but look at him recently
facing losses with new and younger boxers.
I think that he's got that plan of moving up a few weights and that's why if there will be other fighters that will challenge him, it's on another weight division and not on his current one. He's on his prime and that cannot be denied and whoever is able to challenge and beat him will be writing history against this man that he just beaten the monster. But I don't think that will be easy, conditions about the match isn't just going to be easy for the challenger.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees have disappointed me today on: December 28, 2023, 08:44:22 PM
I believe that this is a temporary problem that we have to deal hardly for now. Before, when we've got some surge in transactions fees we already don't like it. Like for it costs $1-$5 and I think $20 was the peak of it, we're already disappointed with that. And to mind that these were like a few weeks. But now, we're dealing on it for several months and still, we've got still problem that we have face every single day and made us thinking whether we'll do the transaction or not or if it's worth it to pay $5-$20 worth of fee now whether we transact. It's not a problem if we'll be transferring a couple of grand or even hundreds but if you'll have to pay $20 or what not, it's not worth it.
this is truly a temporary problem but what OP wanted to impose is why we need to had experiencing such when we can use other sources with minimal if not a total free transactions with almost the same speed?
and besides this has been coming for how many chances each time bitcoin price rose high ,
Last bull run on 2021, we didn't experienced this much. We can only lay it all to the devs as we just have to bear whatever is the situation now.

this also made more people now understand the uses of altcoin and this brings also small damage to what bitcoin use to be from the creation.
On times like this, there is no way that we'll not find any alternative to save fees and that's why as long as there are other options that we can use to save fees, we'll use them.

if this will not change , I'm afraid that we will be seeing less users of bitcoin and a diversion to other option that offers the same speed , fees and uses.
I don't think so, it's just going to happen that Bitcoin won't be ideal for payments but still the best store of value.
239  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODLers, When Will You Sell? on: December 28, 2023, 07:42:06 PM
If you're a HODLer. when do you hope to sell? Would you cash out if Bitcoin soars to $100,000 or sit back and wait until it gets to a million?
Yes, I'd sell for both prices. First if it hits $100k then I'll take the opportunity to sell and then I'll wait for another few years to see it go around a million dollars. It seems that talks like this are no longer frowned unlike before when too many skeptics think that it is impossible to happen. Since we've seen Bitcoin has reached $69k last bull run, whether it goes on a x2 or x3 within the next cycle, it's still going to be high and will be making new history that shall make people amaze on how far it can grow.
240  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 28, 2023, 07:40:21 AM
