221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 18, 2019, 12:39:56 PM
Most people rank tennis players by Grand Slam titles so If Novak tops Roger's record he will be considered the greatest tennis player of all time by the majority.

12 of Nadal's 18 titles are on clay, people like to bring this up as some type of detriment to his legacy but I still think he shined enough on hard courts and grass to have a solid argument for the GOAT argument.
222  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the Risk worth strengthening our economy ? on: July 18, 2019, 12:36:32 PM
Many consumers pretend to care but they end up just buying the cheapest product they can get.  Capitalism's only goal is profit and morals are left behind.  I wish the world was so fixated on money being everything in life and cared more about helping others and not exploiting.
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC and the $5 hammer on: July 18, 2019, 12:31:42 PM
Even if it isn't required at the start you should at least prepare that you may have to provide personal information in case there are red flags about the funds, so just be prepared for the possibility.  I try to avoid KYC but if it is a trusted business I don't mind giving out my information.
224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Breaking News - Arson attack at Japanese's studio "Kyoto Animation" on: July 18, 2019, 12:28:07 PM
Maybe someone from the studio was involved in criminal activity and crossed someone and the guy came for payback?  Or perhaps it is just a crazy person that wanted to cause havoc.  Anyways its a shame that innocent people had to die from this, so much damage can be done with a few dollars of gasoline and a match.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 18, 2019, 12:24:06 PM
Wow Jalen thinks the Warriors will sink to the 7th spot after years of dominating the western conference.  I predicting the Lakers to finish in first, Lebron will have a strong fire burning after missing the playoffs last year and he got to rest after so many deep playoff runs year after year.

I favor the list of Jalen. He is right that Lebron is already old and may probably rest more and not play all 82 games. He cannot play like he played in Cavs where he plays 40-minute games without injury. Even if he stays healthy, the team will rest them to stay healthy for the playoffs.

But I believe nuggets will be the top seed for the west because they are younger and have more chemistry than HOU.

Even most young healthy players don't play all 82 games anymore.  This is a different era of the NBA and it is much more critical to be rested and healthy in the playoffs instead of trying to grind out homecourt advantage.
In the 2004-2005 season Lebron led the league with 42.4 mpg and in 2017-2018 he led the league with 36.9 so you can see the play time dropping for league leaders.
226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc dump. It is time for some alts to recover against BTC on: July 18, 2019, 12:20:11 PM
The same pattern keeps repeating.  Eventually a lot of money will go back into altcoins and their gains will out perform bitcoin.  It is only a matter of time so make sure you have your investments spread out among all of the top coins.  Ethereum is looking like a great buy right now.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff, the famous investor, does his first youtube live and on: July 18, 2019, 12:13:09 PM
Some people just really want to see bitcoin fail, part of it is probably due to jealously of missing out and watching it continue to rise.  Or he may truly not fully understand the use cases that it provides and how the decentralized nature can change the relationship of man and money.
228  Other / Archival / Re: should trump abolish propriety tax? on: July 17, 2019, 04:10:20 PM
This question should be rephrased to: Should the Federal Government overreach on its powers and force the local governments to collect fewer taxes to be able to run properly.

The local governments should have the control to operate with property taxes, like schools and police forces and so on and so forth rely on property taxes in order to operate. You can't just remove a program like this because you hate taxes.

Maybe have people under a certain income level be exempt from property taxes if they have already purchased their house?  Also charge more for people that own more than one house.
229  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Roger Ver: Starting His Own Crypto Exchange? on: July 17, 2019, 04:06:50 PM
This became BCH's version of localbitcoins I believe.

This already exists: https://local.bitcoin.com/

I think this one is different. Basically, a crypto exchange, whereas the main trading pair is BCH/coin and not BTC/coin. Quite a bold move for something that I think has low demand and could end up having very very low liquidity. This dude is definitely doing everything to uplift BCH. While I personally don't like and don't hold BCH, his dedication is surely something.

Thank you for the post.

I see BCH as a failed attempt to dislodge Bitcoin. It failed badly.

As for the website (https://local.bitcoin.com) it seems a half-hearted project to show people BCH is widely used when the reality is it is only a market place, hardly a real exchange.

You still have to admit that BCH took at least some market share form bitcoin.  BCH is still top 5 and does billions in volume each day.  It has held up a lot better than most people predicted since many people said it would be dead by now.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Sports betting} Watch out for "professional tipsters" on: July 17, 2019, 04:02:35 PM
Haha this is so true and if they were as good as they say why wouldn't they just use their own money to constantly make more instead of trying to sell their services.  There are some helpful people out there that give free advice that people should look for.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties sometimes are unpredictable on: July 17, 2019, 03:49:26 PM
The most painful experience when promoting a bounty project is thinking you made a right choice by removing the signature of the project you are promoting presently for another project that you think its better and later on? Grin

The first project you are promoting get listed and doubled in value ,how will you feel? Damn! The fact is bounties are unpredictable sometimes ,no one can predict the end results

No point in living with regret, you will just stress yourself out more.  No one can ever predict what the future holds and all we can do is make our best educated guesses and go from there.  Just be grateful you have this opportunity in the first place.
232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PSA: DO NOT USE THE SAME PASSWORD FOR DIFFERENT SITES! on: July 17, 2019, 03:31:01 PM
I don't trust the HaveIBeenPwned website, they could be seeing what email addresses people still use and care about.  Once you type your email address into it they know that is may have some type of value attached to it.
233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Its better to have more than one email on: July 17, 2019, 03:26:41 PM
Most people get lazy and end up using the same password for all their accounts or one that is very similar.  This is a huge mistake and you should be willing to put in the time and care to have very different passwords that are complex unless you don't care about your personal information.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 16, 2019, 01:15:11 PM
Coaches get too much blame for team failures, everything ultimately relies on how the players perform and a coach has very little bearing on that.

Lampard will surely be a fan favorite since he was a former star for Chelsea but football fans are notoriously short tempered and Frank may not handle the criticism well if things go south.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you be mad if satoshi sold all coins they own right now? on: July 16, 2019, 01:09:52 PM
I think if satoshi even moved one coin from one of those early addresses the price would drop dramatically from all the panic that would happen.  I think the day will come eventually but not till bitcoin is widely adopted and a large sell off wouldn't affect the price too much.
236  Economy / Economics / Re: Bomb Token, Runescape Partyhats and Rubber Turkeys — A Game of Scarcity & Desire on: July 16, 2019, 01:03:57 PM
I remember the game runescape and partyhats were discontinued and they reached crazy high levels.  But people who work at Jagex could easily just spawn millions of an item, they are never rare when one person can instantly just make infinite copies at will.
237  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Are Women Slowly Leaning On To Crypto Trade? on: July 16, 2019, 12:55:17 PM
This is a non issue, we are all just humans, no need to play these gender/race cards and try to get people up in arms.  Just causes more drama and ultimately fuels more hatred like All the Donald Trump "racist" remarks.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 16, 2019, 12:44:00 PM
Serie A is nothing compared to its former glory and AC Milan are no longer a formidable club.  Serie A is trumped by La Liga, Bundesliga, and the EPL by a wide margin.  I might even put the French league over Serie A at this point.
But you must see now. That Serie A is a league that is very much awaited every game. I can't think you put the French league above the Italian league. The French league is very easy to predict. Because the tough club is only PSG, Monaco, Lyon. That means the possibility of a champion next season is among the ones I mentioned.

But everyone league is dominated by only a few teams, that is just the nature of a game without a salary cap.  The rich clubs will dominate like we have seen in La Liga essentially being a 2 horse race every year.  And all the seasons the big four dominated Premier League until rich owners came in and brought Manchester City to the top.  And of course you have flukes like Leicester City that will never have a sustained dominance.
239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this the Donald Pump we've been waiting for? on: July 16, 2019, 12:33:46 PM
I don't check out Twitter too much but after looking around Trumps twitter I can tell you that place is extremely toxic and filled with paid trolls that reply to everyone of his comments.  That place is too stressful for me and I would rather not ever look at it again.
240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is KuCoin Becoming the Best Exchange for Trading? on: July 15, 2019, 01:32:46 PM
Kucoin looks like it is dying a slow painful death.  Barely anyone I know uses that exchange anymore and Kucoin Shares have dropped a lot since they no longer payout much in trading fees.  People have moved over to better exchanges already.
