1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some unique advantages of online gambling ? on: December 15, 2018, 02:04:54 PM
Number one reason is simply convenience.  Wake up, make breakfast, hop on your computer and you are gambling within seconds.  No need to travel and waste gas money when you can do it all from the comfort from your own home.

You also have the benefit of anonymity and casino games online usually have better odds than real life casinos.
1022  Economy / Economics / Re: The rich poorest country on: December 15, 2018, 02:01:04 PM
First off, don't blame socialism/ communism for the state of Venezuela.  Socialism can work when the government officials aren't corrupt.

USA is the wealthiest country in the world but has the highest prison population and ranks very high among countries in suicide rate.  There are a lot of tent cities in America that would make Venezuela look like a paradise.
1023  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bottom could be around the corner ! interesting chart ! on: December 15, 2018, 01:53:32 PM
Why are we close to bottom? what fundamentally has changed? bitcoin still can't scale for shit, ethereum scam icos have been halted, China is totally out unlike back in 2014, the altcoin market is deader than a doornail thanks to kyc gov intervention and crackdown on scammers. Why would people buy crypto right now? Nobody's falling for a fomo pump, so all I can see is down.

Smart money is buying while everyone else is crying and screaming.  They do the opposite of what the mainstream noobs are doing.  There is just too much money in vested in crypto infrastructure for it to fail and a lot of people in government own crypto so they want to see it succeed.  One thing is for sure, this is thel ast chance we will have to get rich off crypto.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jobless No More on: December 15, 2018, 01:50:33 PM
With the rise of automation most jobs will be lost within the next few years.  Truck drivers will be out of work due to self driving vehicles and that is only one sector.  Without some type of Universal Basic Income people will overthrow the government and cause chaos.  Even geniuses like Elon Musk and Zuckerberg are in strong support of UBI.
1025  Economy / Economics / Re: Peter Schiff: Next Round of Quantitative Easing To Send Gold To New Highs on: December 14, 2018, 03:24:13 PM
If further quantitative easing rounds make gold pump, then Bitcoin must pump as well, given that it is a better gold in pretty much every department (except that it isn't as stable in price, but that is just because Bitcoin is still tiny, so that is actually another positive since there are higher potential gains). Not to mention Bitcoin is approaching ultimate floor prices so it's a steal.

Schiff will remain in denial again when we hit ATH, these guys just will admit they are wrong. Same goes for Nourini and co, they are all the same.

I'm as big of a bitcoin supporter as anyone here but I wouldn't put btc above gold, they are just too different.  Gold is actually limited but you can create endless bitcoin forks and altcoins so crypto can never be limited.  I encourage people to hold crypto and gold, always diversify your investments if you want to play it safe!
1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people have btc? on: December 14, 2018, 03:19:27 PM
The amount of people that actually own bitcoin is still a very small percentage of the population.  I'm the only person in my group of friends and family that even owns any cryptocurrency, I tried to get them more involved but they weren't really interested.  We definitely have a long way to go towards full adoption.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A proven way to make money from gambling - what's your opinion about this? on: December 14, 2018, 03:11:34 PM
I personally think this is a risky business you are in. I am loving sports bets as well. For fun I place accumulators for the big shots with low buy-in. But I think the only way to make consistent money with sport betting is by doing arbitrage bets or following an value betting strategy. Both arbitrage and value betting are 2 proven strategies that can generate consistent ROI on a long term point of view

Very few people can actually become a professional gambler. If it was really easy casinos would all go out of business.  Guys that are willing to put in the work and do lots of research on matches can come out on top but they need a large bankroll to withstand any variance that may come there way for an unlucky streak.
1028  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading is a zero sum game. on: December 14, 2018, 03:04:12 PM
We have some of the most intelligent people in the world working on extracting as much wealth as possible from high volume trading.  For someone to gain money in the market someone most lose.  Imagine if we had these minds working on solving real world problems that would actually benefit society.  Just like gambling, trading is zero sum.
1029  Economy / Marketplace / Re: McAfee, Matonis, Hoskinson and other specialists name 3 favorite tokens on: December 14, 2018, 03:02:27 PM
As others in this thread have stated John Mcafee is not to be trusted.  This guy is a major drug addict that will shill any project for a few bitcoins.  He is even a convicted murderer that likely got away with it.  John is an attention whore that is always changing his mind and he is big trouble because the big prediction he made won't be coming true.
1030  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am quitting ICO's on: December 14, 2018, 02:53:40 PM
By the time you quit ICOs there will probably be some really good ones that pops up.  Just like how everyone wrote bitcoin off in the past but it always came back stronger.  There will always be more innovation and new technology when you least expect it.  If you were smart you would at least keep an eye out for promising  new projects.
1031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Christmas gifts this year, all my money in Bitcoin on: December 14, 2018, 02:47:57 PM
I'm not big on Christmas myself either.  It has become too focused on materialism.  I think all holidays have basically become a business within themselves.  Easter, Valentines day, and halloween.  Its just a celebration for big business to sell us more useless items that will pollute the earth and terrible candy that will ruin our health.
1032  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullrun will always come , Newbies do your research well on: December 13, 2018, 04:19:46 PM
Most people here are mistaken.  Past performance usually repeats itself the majority of the time.  If it didn't there would be no point in studying history and looking at past market charts.  The upside heavily outweights the downside and this will be the last chance to buy in cheap before crypto becomes completely mainstream.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: December 13, 2018, 04:15:19 PM
Wade is really one of the best to play the game, I know he will never rank in the top 10 in any discussion ever but a player is not great because of his rankings but what he brought to the game.

Dude won one ring with Shaq when Shaq was not at his best and basically lead that team to the ring, he won with Lebron too and we all know what Lebron does to his teammates, he either makes them or breaks them, Kevin Love was one of the best Power Fowards in the league and than became a role player, Kyrie is one of the best point guards in the league and went head to head against Curry and he ran away from Cavs, Bosh became another role player.

Not Wade, wade stood his ground and earned the respect of his peers and managed to toe to toe Lebron on leadership and that created a great friendship. Doing what Wade did in this league is rare and he will be missed when he retires.

Wade is one of the most overrated players of all time.  He wouldn't even of won in 2006 without Shaq.  I know he had a good finals performance but without Shaq's dominant play throughout that season they wouldn't of made the finals.  Wade has never been a good shooter and he has declined very rapidly in his 30s because he relied too much on his athleticism.  You could even argue he was a worse player than Bosh while on the Miami Heat.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe 2018 betting discussion on: December 13, 2018, 04:07:36 PM
Didn't know people actually bet on Miss Universe Smiley, For what it's worth Miss Congeniality is a pretty good movie.  I think the whole competition is a bit ridiculous though, on one hand women don't like being objectified but they have no problem being judged based on their looks in this contest...
1035  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin need a miracle on: December 13, 2018, 03:57:12 PM
This thread is a joke, bitcoin does not need a miracle.  It has dropped like this many times in the past so this is nothing new.  Panic sellers will be the ones crying in a year or so when bitcoin reaches a new all time high.  Next reduction in block reward is coming pretty soon as well so the inflation rate will drop a lot which will increase demand.
1036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who wants to use Bitcoin? on: December 13, 2018, 03:47:32 PM
The problem are speculators and holders, very few people actually want to use bitcoin because it continues to rise in value? But is that really a bad thing?  Instead of being a currency bitcoin can act as a store of value similar to gold.  Bitcoin has a big advantage over gold though because it is much easier to transport across the world.
1037  Economy / Speculation / Re: WTF is going on with btc on Binance? on: December 09, 2018, 03:27:26 PM
It's smart to set some very low buy orders in case a major flash crash happens.  I've seen it happen a few times before and the stop losses keep triggering until it cascades to a very low price.  The problem is picking the right exchanges that it will happen on because it is a very rare occurrence.  Set some low buy orders and hope you get lucky.
1038  Economy / Economics / Re: Who are benefited with cryptocurrency? on: December 09, 2018, 03:12:44 PM
Merchants usually convert straight to fiat so most of them couldn't care less about these wild price swings.  Anyone that shorted the market recently made a lot of money as well.  Then you have the crypto exchanges that make money no matter how the market is doing.  The same goes for crypto gambling websites.
1039  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Bull after Christmas? on: December 09, 2018, 03:06:50 PM
Most are expecting 2019 to be a great year for cryptocurrency.  Of course there are some that think crypto is dead and bitcoin is going to zero but they couldn't be more wrong.  I'm taking full advantage of this bear market and will even use any christmas money I get to purchase more BTC.
1040  Economy / Economics / Re: The production of money... is SCAM! on: December 08, 2018, 04:31:42 PM
Money is the biggest conspiracy ever created.  99 % of people will do anything to get lots of money.  We are all enslaved to the dollar, the bankers are laughing at us like the dump sheep we really are.  Maybe one day people will wake up and realize this whole fiat banking system is a complete scam.
